IRecruitment: Populate Values in Offer Details DFF based on Vacancy Grade

Hello All,
I have enabled Additional Offer Details DFF while creating Offer for an Applicant of an open vacancy.
I need to automatically populate values in these DFF fields based on the grade defined in vacancy (also available on offer creation page). I want to populate these fields automatically through using inline query that would be based on the vacancy grade (also shown on offer page).
How can I build this query as I dont know whether the vacancy/offer grade is available in the create offer profile region or not.
For Example
Offer/Vacancy Grade = 4
DFF Field 1 (Additional Offer Details) = Housing Allowance
Query should be like this: If Grade is 4 then Housing Allowance = 15000 - Now I want this 15000 value to be automatically populated in the Housing Allowance field when we click on the Create Offer for a respective applicant.
For your information the grade and housing allowance values relationship is configured in User Tables

Any thoughts or workarounds on How can I automatically populate (through Default SQL Query - While Defining DFF Segments) Offer Details DFF Fields on Create Offer page. The Default values will be based on Vacancy Grade which is also available on the Offer page, I just need to know how can I get to dynamically know this while I am creating offer.
This is very critical, i would greatly appreciate your thoughts on this.

The 3rd list will not populate because nothing has been selected yet in list 2. The value in list 2 is null, so the loop to populate list (3) has nothing to load. Try the following below. This should seed your 2nd list so the 3rd list will populate.

Populate values in f4 dialog screen based on the values in selction screen

hi,
i have done a module program where i would enter the details like ssales org ,division,distribution channel in the selection screen and would enter the screen having the table control... in that table control i have a field for customer code.. when i press f4 for cus code.,dialog box appears for the cus code and in that , sales group tab should be selected and the divsion ,dist channel and sales organisation i gave in the slection screen should be displayed as default...how can i do this ..
since there is no screen no as such i am finding it difficult to crack.

if you do not give a specific number to selection-screen, its dynpro number is 1000.
So in POV (AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON VALUE-REQUEST) use the classical DYNP_VALUES_READ with dynumb = '1000' to get current values from screen, then you can
- Fill yourself an internal table and call F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST
- Call F4IF_FIELD_VALUE_REQUEST using CALLBACK_PROGRAM and CALLBACK_FORM to call a form in your report that will be executed by the search-help and there (look at online documentation) will change the default values of subfiled (itab) SELOPT of SHLP parameter (type SHLP_DESCR_T)

Can I have different "details" formatting based on a value in the Group?

Greetings! I'm using Crystal Reports 11.0 and have the need to generate 3 different "formats" in the DETAILS section, based on what I am grouping on. Can this be done? For example, If what I am grouping on has 3 different values (AREA, LINE, POINT), then for each of those, I would like to branch to a different formating section. Any advice would be appreciated!

Default DFF based of user login and value set

Hi All,
My requirement is: Default the value of a DFF based on a value set and the person who logs in.
My value set is:
Person A - Value 1
Person B - Value 2
So, if person 1 logs in - the DFF value should be Value 1.
If person 2 logs in - the DFF value should be Value 2.
How can this be achieved?

You can default the value by using SQL in the default type for the particular DFF segments. You can get the user id from $PROFILES$.USER_ID. You can derive the employee id / name from the user id (provided you do indeed tag an employee to the FND User definition)

Update routine to populate value for field ZDOCCATG(Document category)

   I need to populate data for field ZDOCCATG(Document Category) based on the value of the below two fields,
1. 0deb_cre_lc(Debit / credit Amount)
2. 0ac_doc_typ(Belegart)
The logic is as follows:

1- I will create a customized table having two columns one is for context name and other is for org_id,
2- then i will create a value set on this table and will use this on 'Value Set' field on 'Descriptive Flexfield Segments' window.
3- In the where clause of this value set i will pass org_id from profile $PROFILES$.ORG_ID,
4- this will restrict the context based on org_id And user will only have context related to there org
I have successfully achieved the above requirment.
Find below the restriction you should follow so that Value set is available in LOVs on "Descriptive Flexfield Segments" window:
Value sets used for context fields must obey certain restrictions or they will not be available to use in the Value Set field in the Context Field region of the Descriptive
Flexfield Segments window:
• Format Type must be Character (Char)
• Numbers Only must not be checked (alphabetic characters are allowed)
• Uppercase Only must not be checked (mixed case is allowed)
• Right-justify and Zero-fill Numbers must not be checked
• Validation Type must be Independent or Table
If the validation type is Independent:
• the value set maximum size must be less than or equal to 30
If the validation type is Table:
• the ID Column must be defined, it must be Char or Varchar2 type, and its size must
be less than or equal to 30. The ID column corresponds to the context field value
code (the internal, non-translated context field value).
• the Value Column must be defined, it must be Char or Varchar2 type, and its size
must be less than or equal to 80. The Value column corresponds to the context field
value name (the displayed context field value).
• the value set maximum size must be less than or equal to 80
All context field values (the code values) you intend to use must exist in the value set. If
you define context field values in the Context Field Values block of the Descriptive
Flexfield Segments window that do not exist in the context field value set, they will be
ignored, even if you have defined context-sensitive segments for them.

I have a Report requirement where in I need to Populate values for FROM Period & TO Period based on the user i/p for Quarter variable.
For Eg;
Fiscal year : 2009

There are no fields FROM Period or TO Period in Cube.I need to populate them in the report directly.

Auto populate values in the the database table

Hi All,
I have a requirement where user enter values in one of the ZTransaction. This will update a Ztable. So the new requirement is to add two new columns in the fields, which is completed. Now this two new fields are supposed to auto populate values based upon the key field .
The transaction code is defined with Transaction as SM30 and Default values as
Name of the screen field     value
Update                               X
VIEWNAME                      "table name which the values are updated".
Please let me know how to do this.

I am unsure of what you are trying to accomplish so I will make a few assumption and perhaps you can find some benefit in it.
I suppose you are trying to add new fields to a custom (Z) database table.
If so then use SE11 to add the two new columns.
After this is complete then rebuild the table maintenance by using the following path: SE11-> Utilities->Table Maintenance Generator. (Remember to double check the Recording Routine Radio button.)
If the user needs fields automatically populated then check the following link. It describes how to use table maintenance events. I suppose you need to use Event 01 and Event 05.

Best way to create detail records based on data in the master record..

I am using 11gr1p1 and ADF stack.
I have a master detail relation between 2 records. I have EO and entity associations. I want to create a number detail records based on the data on the master record.
For example
I have a Stay Record which has begin and end date I need to create the DailyStay Record for each day for the range of begin and end date of StayRecord.
Where should I do this? In EO implementation or in VO implementation.?

Otherwise, to increase reusability of your EO, then in the VO over the view link (i.e. other VO's would still be able to use your EO without having the child VO created with these defaults).
This way your ViewObjects can also be used in a context where you don't want to copy from the masterFrank, If there's another UI flow that is so drastically different that it does not want things defaulted, then it probably needs a different VO altogether (on the same underlying EO though)

When you create a form you are offered three different choices:
1. Form based on table or view
Build a form based on a database table or view.
2. Master-detail form
Build a master-detail form based on two tables or views. <---- ?????
3. Form based on procedure
Build a form based on a database stored procedure
Is it at all possible to use views with master/detail?

View should have a rowid. To create a rowid tables have to have foreign key relation. And also in where clause you should have PK-Field-Name=FK-Filed-Name statement.

if you want to display a fixed values in the dropdown you can use list box ui and can specify values there
or if u want to display values from the context node of the webdynpro
1. Drag and drop a Value Help Drop-down List element from the Web Dynpro Library tab to the Body Pages pane.
2. Drag and drop your node from the Data View tab onto it. This action binds the layout element to the corresponding node.

Debug the standard code and see where the other fields are getting update. you can use the similar approach and area to code for the new field.

Hi,
you can go for two drop downs like DropDown by Key or Drop Down by Index as per requirment.
Create context Node for the table UI, in that one will be for ur drop down. Create element for the Context node and add thses to the conetxt.
Code example for DropDownBy Key:-
