I recently purchased a 'pantech breakout', and I'm extremely disappointed in it! Here I was, all excited to finally be getting an android, and what a disappointment this one has been!!! It has hardly any memory. My battery loses it's charge in no time! I've been making sure nothing is running in the background, ever! But, if I don't power it down before starting my shift at work, I can count on the batt being almost dead by lunch! Sooo disappointed!

Yes, I am also disappointed in my two Pantech Breakouts, which were purchased in early January 2012. I can deal with the rapid battery drain by having the display shutoff quickly, turning off the WiFi when I am not using it and simply carrying an extra charging cable with me and in my car.
What is frustrating me is the low memory errors which result in apps I actually use, not being able to update. The bottom line cause of this is that almost half of the internal storage on this device is dedicated to pre-installed apps, many of which I don't even use. These pre-installed apps also cannot be removed or moved to the SD card to free up space. Discussions both via CHAT and over the phone with tech support have not produced a workaround. Tech support's response was that it is Google's issue because the Google OS includes pre-installed apps. I am at the point now that either Verizon gives me the Pantech purchase price toward a new more usable android model or I lodge a complaint with my state's Attorney General's office that they have violated their contract with me. I hope others are responding to this issue in a similar manner.

Is anyone else not receiving their emails?

I haven't received a single email in the last 48 hrs, which is really unusual considering all the spam we get. Is anyone else having this problem? I know it isn't a connection problem, I'm able to pull up my account on a different computer and still no results.

What happens if you send a test email to yourself? Does it send? Do you receive it? Is the problem happening with their Xfinity Connect webmail, an email program, or an app on a mobile device?
Check your "Email Safe List" setting under Users & Preferences / (username) / Email Settings at https://customer.xfinity.com/Secure/UserSettings. This option sometimes gets turned on when it should be off. If you can't find the "Email Safe List" setting you'll need to log in with the Primary user ID.

Is anyone else disappointed by the nano 1st generation replacement programme? I received a tiny mini nano in replacement for my recalled one - I at least expected something the same size and functionality!

I wondered if anyone else also got a tiny replacement that was not really like for like. Or am I the only one?

Because it is smaller it is not like for like?
Sell it on the open market, lots of people are looking for refurbished Generation 6 Nanos.

Has anyone else discovered that their MacBookPro has been set up for 'no available users' and so cannot use any new applications?

I've had my MacBook Pro for several months. Sadly I've not been able to use it for my work (I'm a writer) as I couldn't open my software, Final Draft. I installed it several times, uninstalling it each time to avoid glitches, but every time I tried to open it I had an error message, that the permissions had to be reset. I went onto disk utilities and did everything I could to reset/repair. I spent days and weeks on the phone both to Apple and to Final Draft, but no one could help.
Apple were adamant that it was a software error and so today I bought yet another version of Final Draft (£140), this time from the net, and downloaded that. Same old same old. Once again, over and over, I followed the 'trouble shooting permissions' advice on the Apple website, still no luck. Finally, finally, tonight, a technician was able to take me through an obscure routine which ended up with the message that my laptop had been set up with 'No Available Users'.
In effect it's a useless piece of metal and has been from day one.

I'm not sure that I followed everything, but you got a replacement phone and continue to experience problems? It sounds like a logical move would be to have AT&T replace your SIM card. I would doubt that the size/fit is an issue, these things are a standard size, but replacing the SIM will have an impact on the network set-up that might be the root cause.

Well, this is my first and most probably only post here, just a little rant.
Today I wanted to purchase Elle me dit - Mika in the music store and what a surprise... its not there. I have been soooooo disappointed with the app store it is unreal and not having my favourite song on the music store is inexcusable!!!!
Having transferred from the iphone to the nokia 700 I was not expecting the same standard however the nokia 700 model is amazing and defiantly looks, feels good and is great value for money and to be honest is better than any previous model I have owned, just back to the matter of applications I just can't believe it.
I was not expecting millions or thousands of apps, maybe a couple of hundred, but in my eyes there are only a handful of applications which actually utilize the quality of the phone, these including maps, swipe, World of Rabbits the dig, Fruit Ninja, Angry Birds and social. Apart from 30 or so apps, that's it, your stuck with a quality phone held back by a limited number of apps! I knew it was bad, but common, it is beyond a joke how little I can do with my phone when it is capable of so much. Until the app store improves I physically cannot tell my friends to purchase a phone from Nokia despite having good value high quality models. Oh and please don't respond saying 'we are working on expanding the store, I want evidence, not empty promises'.
Rant over.

Nokia 700 is a phone running on Belle and its somewhat different and new thats the reason why there are few apps. Lets hope that developers will do their best and develop some apps for Symbian based devices in the coming future. For games you may try assasins creed, asphal5 and 6, NFS shift. Good luck.

Anyone Else Been Stalking Their Macy's Account ?

I have both Amex & shore account with Club & Special events attached to it. my stsements for store cuts on the 2nd and Amex cuts on the 9th. my letter stated that the merging of accounts would take place on 8/2/15 & 8/9/15. I asked a rep rep and they said I would be able to call and get my new combined limit on 8/21/15 i have Amex - $5k ..... Store - $5k........ Club - $5k...........Special event - $5k was told the major purchase accounts wouldn't merge and the accounts with activity in the last 24 months would combine. I was wondering if anyone out there have had any action on their accounts yet ? Was as also told that the Amex account holders will have 1 big limit for ALL purchases , inside and outside of Macy's And they will be issuing new Amex cards with the chip in a month. Last week I had to add my AU's to my Amex as they are only a on my store accounts. Did this thru the Amex dept. consider me a stalker because that's exactly what I'm doing to my online account ...lol

Macy's is weird. if you research Macy's complaints on the internet, you will find TONS of complaints about them canceling orders for fraud and generally making life difficult for their customers. Their fraud division is a pain. I have not experienced the things you described in your post, but they have canceled a number of my online orders to send gift cards to my daughter and some other items. I've placed probably 30 orders with them online in the past year and had about 12 canceled. I had to go through a 40-60 minute back and forth phone verification to get them reinstated each time with multiple people and getting transferred. I had to do a 45-minute phone verification with them when I first got the card, getting put on hold several times. Just a lot of my time that could be spent doing other things. Macy's outright cancels the orders, they don't even call you to verify first. Google "Macy's complaints" and you will see a lot of people reporting the same thing. My impression of Macy's and DSNB is that the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing. I'm all for genuine fraud prevention. They have all kinds of haphazard practices in the name of fraud prevention that just end up being an inconvenience to the customer. I'm canceling mine next week (no reason to keep it because I have a lot of major cc's I use for rewards points instead of a store card) and will have a card cutting party when I do! I really love my Bloomingdale's card (same bank) and won't be canceling it, but I wish DSNB had better business practices and a btter level of organization.

Anyone else disappointed in new Photoshop CC features?

Watched the demos today. The Deblur filter is nice, but I bet does not work as well as we'd hope. The Camera Raw filter is definitely helpful. But I kind of do that already with a lightroom round trip. The image straightening as in LR is nice. But I'm disappointed the new feature set is kind of lackluster. Remember the first time you saw content aware, scaling, or fill? That was groundbreaking.
Just5 curious what others think of the new version?

Anyone else finding out their old phones don't appraise after delay receiving the iphone6?

So despite ordering 2 new I6's on September 17th...and getting an appraisal of $200.00 apiece for my old 5c and 4s...the delivery was delay 2x's. First to 10/7 and the second time to 10/16. When I received the box and it asked me to go to the site and simply print a return it didn't work so I tried taking the 2 older phones to a verizon store but was told that wasn't possible. The agent submitted a return request for us and we waited for Verizon to get back. They did not...so yesterday 10/29....I called to see how to expedite things.
Remarkably I discovered that as of 10/15 the 4s was devalued to $100.00 instead of the $200.00 I had confirmed with my initial order as well as the $600.00+ I had come up with to get the order going!
I was told "oh, that price dropped on 10/15....you should have told us by that date that you would be returning your old phones"...WHAT?!!! Just what did the agent think when I called and ordered the new phones - etc.!! Since Apple changed their trade-in - Verizon wouldn't honor it...despite all of us out there not receiving our phones as promised! I didn't even get mine until the 16th!
Where was I advised of this and why hadn't this been publicized? The claim is: yes it was noted on our site. However, after feeling reluctant to order online I happened to make the personal call so there was more clarity - BIG MISTAKE!!
SO! for those of you on the delay wagon--- don't expect your phone to appraise! It is beyond their date!
I have now ordered return labels for the new phones and plan to cancel everything. I have had Verizon since 2000.....had at one time 5 business lines and this is the final straw.

Let me ask you - since I was NOT advised by your CSR on the phone (who one would assume is still Verizon) then how would I know? Interesting you say it must have been done at one of your stores or online - IF that was the case then why did your agent take my order, advise me of the terms of the exchange etc.? Additionally, maybe you didn't read my letter but....why would I get a submission ID before I had received the phones I ordered!! They didn't arrive until AFTER that date! Really!
Once again, you and all the other employees of Verizon are covering up for your boss VERIZON. The facts are customer service and all the qualities you were known for over the years is vanishing. Look at the web postings and you will see....you are sinking in rates as fast as can be. It's subterfuge - the bottom line is when you are caught in a flagrant misleading promotional campaign that you were unprepared for - phones that were not delivered according to your statements (regardless of who you want to blame that on)..you refuse to backup your customer service agents. Let's remember, had I received the phones on the promised date, even the SECOND promised date this would not even be a topic of discussion.
Additionally, it should also be said that had I followed the instructions in the box I would have been in more trouble. Your agent at the Verizon store told us plain and simple - DO NOT use those instructions! They aren't correct!
Ahhhh.....another example of incompetence in my mind.
I have owned many businesses in my lifetime. I am accountable to provide and back up all my employees in the highest manor of ethics of I lose all credibility - that is precisely what Verizon is doing at this moment....

IPhoto 11 'dumbs down' emailing pics - anyone else disappointed?

The one command I used the most in iphoto was to email photos at one of the 4 sizes provided. I did this constantly and was able to title and label photos in my mail before sending. Now, having wasted a lot of money on the upgrade I see I no longer have that choice - it is some pre-decided "enhancement" size that just give a childish preview of pics in a folder.
The whole point of emailing a pic is to give the person emailed an instant look at the photos at the desired size. The untrained simply drag the pic into whatever app they want. Who is going to find the folder, open an app and look at the pics? It is too much work and too complicated for most.
Bad choice apple - a case of an upgrade offering much less that the previous version. I would like my money back. I will certainly give this 'dumbing down' upgrade a miss and advise every mac user I know to beware. Really disappointed, Michael

If you don't like the new ways that iPhoto handles emailing then you can access the old way with a small change in how you work:
1. Drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Mail icon in the Dock.
or
2. Use the Photo browser in Mail - or any Media browser in the entire OS

Ringtones are currently a one-time only download from the store, so they won't appear in the Purchased link for re-downloading. Are they in the Tones section of your computer's iTunes library - by default your library is stored under:
Mac OS X: /Users/username/Music
Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\
Windows Vista: \Users\username\Music\iTunes
Windows 7 and Windows 8: \Users\username\My Music\iTunes
And if you have ringtones in your library then there should be a Tones Directory underneath that.
If they aren't there then do you have them on your backup of your downloads ?
If not, and they are still in the store, then you could try contacting iTunes Support and see if they will grant you a re-download of them

Has anyone else lost all their phone numbers?

Just checked Contacts while trying to make a phone call and i don't see any of my phone numbers..I had probably 50+ in my contacts list. What gives? What do I do now?

That must be frustrating when you can't save all of your valuable contacts. Google is a great suggestion for the Fascinate. Additionally, you can access your Backup Assistant application online via "My Verizon." You will have the option to sync your contacts online if all of the numbers have been saved and are displayed.

Did anyone else have all their wireless airport relay base stations suddenly reset at 4:30 PM August 5 2013? I had four base stations at my house reset simultaneously at 4:30.

At 4:30 PM today all of my secondary base stations simltaneously reset and lost connection. I am wondering what might have caused this. All of my eithernet connected stations remained green and connected but the relay stations sudenly lost any recognition for the network and required a restart to find one another angain. I will occasionally have one go off the reservation but all at exactely teh same time gives me pause to consider a bug.

I have the same proble, I posted my question but still nobody answers me yet. If you get to kknow something please let me know

Music purchased through iTunes can be downloaded by going into iTunes on your phone, select more, then purchased, then music, then select recent purchases or all songs and tap the cloud icon to download.

Anyone else have half their screen go dark?

I've had my 27" iMac since May (bought refurbished from Apple.com), which had some yellowing and backlight issues, but I decided to just deal with it based on all the horror stories I've heard about going through a half dozen returns. But in the past few weeks, my iMac's screen began flickering every so often and dimming on the left side of the screen at random intervals.
Finally, today, half my screen went dark and it's not changing:

I don't have AppleCare, but I hope the standard one-year warranty covers this.

My monitor started flickering this morning and by afternoon, the bottom half of my screen went gray or darker than the top half. I have an early 2008 model 20" iMac. I guess my computer is starting to go bad. My DVD drive stopped working correctly a couple of months ago as well. I can't burn DVD's anymore; keep getting error messages. My guess is that the heat generated on the iMac must shorten the lifespan of all the components inside, considering they are all so close to each other. If you've ever touched the top of your iMac, you'll understand what I'm talking about, as it gets extremely hot up there. Imagine what it must be like inside. This is my first iMac and will probably be my last. I paid too much for my computer to last such a short time. I like the compactness of it, but it's not worth the cost. All-in-on units make it more difficult to fix and more costly to fix as well.
