Is anyone having problems playing music on their iPhone? At times, particularly when you've got headphones in songs sound like a badly scratched CD, continually skipping in various sections of the song. Problem occured post-IOS 5 update.

  • Hello everybody, is anybody else having problems exporting music to their iphone 4's from their itunes 10.6.1. (7)?

hello everybody, is anybody else having problems exporting music to their iphone 4's from their itunes 10.6.1. (7)? i sure am. somehting is way differant. i used to be able to simply drag, and drop albums, artists, and entire genres to my phone without a worry. now i drag an album to my phone, and it will only add a couple of the songs. so i drag and drop again, and maybe even a third time to get all whole album on there. oh, and the album artwork is a no-show. i dont know what i'm missing. it's sure not what i'm used to. anyways, i'm new to this support community deal. thank you in advance for any help.
    much respect,
    tommy bravo

After further testing, I noticed that iTunes not only becomes totally unresponsive but will start using all the CPU until I kill the process. After restarting, it works again for a while and then it dies again...

  • Problems playing music on my iPhone

I have iTunes Match and Show All Music turned on and I can see all my mtach, included playlists, from my iMac.  The problem is the vast majority appear to be greyed out and I can't play them on my iPhone.  Only songs that have been purchsed since I bought the iPhone (and, for some strange reason, 4 other songs) appear in black so I can play them.  Am I missing a step?

Settings>iTunes/App store...tap the ID shown...sign out...now sign back in & make sure you use the same ID/password that you used on your computer when you enabled Match.

  • Is anyone having issues playing youtube on their apple TV

for the last 2 days my youtube on my apple TV is acting up anyone having the same issue

Well, the only real issue for me is that often I will be in the middle of my long list of subscriptions and it will just go back to the beginning, or jump around.
Then, for long periods it is fine.
I have found I can stop that by scrolling to the bottom of my list of subscriptions and start from the bottom up.
What issue are you having problems with?

  • HT1386 Problems playing music on my iPhone.

I've synced my iPhone with my iTunes from my mac but on my phone some of my songs are 'grayed out' and I can't play them. I've only started adding to tunes which were downloaded onto my mac by someone else and can't see what the songs I can't play on my phone have in common. Any advice gratefully received. Thanks.

The songs downloaded onto your mac by someone else are very likely owned by that person, and you were not given the right to play them using your Apple ID.
One way around this would be for that other person to use your iTunes to "Authorize This Computer" to play that person's songs.  In iTunes on your computer, you would choose Store > Authorize This Computer from iTunes' menu and have that person enter their Apple ID and password.
That person can only authorize no more than five devices at any time.  Before trashing or disposing of that computer, the person should deauthorize it in a similar way to the authorization.

  • When playing music on my iPhone 4 using earphones when out for a run, I select shuffle and only 3 or 4 songs play then the music stops as if I have set only 3 songs to play. How do I correct this??

When I am out for a run using earphone and a running APP I set my iphone 4 to shuffle songs but suddenly only 3-4 or 5-6 songs play and then they stop as if I set something to only play a certain number of songs from my playlist, its really irritating as I have to stop and press shuffle again, it happens with all my playlists and never mid song. This is a sudden issue as before I would just select shuffle and run and the music kept playing until I stopped it. Have I set something in error?? have looked at settings in General and in music and I am not sure what to do? any ideas??

Just realised this happens without earphones and without using the running app. My iphone will only play 2 songs when I select shuffle in any playlist, driving me mad!

  • Is anyone having trouble opening iTunes on their iPhone?

For the past two days I have tried to open iTunes on my iPhone 5 and first it said it couldn't connect and now it crashes.

iTunes runs on your computer, not your phone. Please re-phrase the question.

  • Can anyone help me with a problem i am having with my music on my iPhone 4S. I have put alot of Compilation CDs in my library on iTunes. I download these tracks onto my phone, everything is ok so far. Now, this is what is niggling me and I don.t know how

Can anyone help me with a problem i am having with my music on my iPhone 4S. I have put alot of Compilation CDs in my library on iTunes. I download these tracks onto my phone, everything is ok so far. Now, this is what is niggling me and I don.t know how to resolve it. This is my problem:
Have downloaded for example: Queen – Bohemium Rhapsody from a compilation album as well as a few complete Queen Album CDs into the iTunes library and then put them into playlists,
When I go onto my phone and select Queen on the MUSIC app using Songs tab at the bottom of the screen it will display all Queen songs and their resective Alum pics, that is all those not in a complilation album, .
If I know the song title I can select the songs tab and find the song that way,
I’ve tried fiddling with the settings in the iTunes app by going to ‘get info’ tab and trying to sort the problem out that way but am not having much luck. What I want the phone to do is show, for example all Queens songs including those in compilation albums. Can this be done, would be grateful for any ideas on how it can be done, that is if ic can be done, any ideas
    Thanks for your help

Try assigning Queen as the Album Artist on the compilations in iTunes on your computer.

  • Problems playing music on my ipod...

So i recently noticed that all the songs that I upload to my ipod (mp3s) are not playing when i select them on my ipod. I double checked with itunes to make sure that they were playing there and they do. I'm just confused on why if it's uploaded why they are not playing on my ipod when i select them. Any help?
ok this seems really weird but i noticed now that all the songs that don't play were all added to my ipod on the same date 9/27....i tried deleting them from the ipod then replacing them and updating to their respective playlists but they still would not play...btw all songs added after 9/27 are playing with no problems....this is weird...

Try to check if the battery is completely drained. Then charge the iPod via a power connection, not the computer. Sometimes the computer screws it up. Then, reset the iPod and plug it into the computer.

  • Problems playing music on iPhone5

What's going on? When I play music loaded on my iPhone 5 through the "Music" app that comes with the phone my songs first of all, don't play in the order they are listed in the playlists, and second they often stop in the middle and jump to another song or even jump back to the beginning of the same song that has been playing when the "jump" occurs. I DO NOT HAVE "SHUFFLE" SELECTED in settings. Even if I did, why do songs stop before they end and jump to another song. It's acting like "shuffle" has been asked for, but it has NOT.
Is there something in settings or elsewhere that needs to be set so that songs play in order and play completely without being cut off? As things stand now, playing music on my iPhone is frustrating to the point of being useless to even try.

Never mind. I think I figured it out, thanks to reading threads by other who report the same problem.

  • Why do my speakers not play music? I know they work because when I go I change my ringtone all the sounds play. I am not a very happy costumer right now and would like an answer to my problem. Thanks.

What happens when you play music? Do the hardware volume controls work when using the Music app?

You need to continue with the Recovery...
Once the Device is in Recovery Mode... it is too late to save anything...

  • Problems playing music on iPod and iPhone 5

While playing music on my iPod or iPhone 5, some songs suddenly stop playing. The progress bar keeps moving as if it is playing but the audio stops. Songs play fine on my computer in my library. WTH?

Is this songs purchased on iTunes Store or were imported by a CD?
If the songs were purchased by iTunes Store, you should try to download it again, maybe it was a trouble when the song were processed!
You should give it a try!

A number of people have reported similar issues recently, many appear to have found a discrepancy of some kind in their account settings and making changes to these settings or simply resetting them has resolved the matter.
Check your account details are correct, check that you are using the correct details for Location, Region and Time Zone. You may want to change these settings and then change them back to see if that helps.
Also check your payment details, make sure your details are exactly how they appear on your credit card statement, you might also try changing some of those details, saving them and changing them back again.
You might also try logging out of and then back into your iTunes account (Settings > iTunes Store > Apple ID’s > Sign Out) and restarting your router. (Some have reported that after doing this, they need to check for rentals even though it may report that there aren’t any, after which rentals once again appear in the ‘movies’ feature)
Rentals should appear under their own heading in the ‘Movies’ feature, you might also check at Settings > iTunes Store > Check For Rentals.
At this point in time, I’m wondering if this could be related to (but not restricted to) the new feature that allows others to come into your home and use your Apple TV to download and play their content on your Apple TV without logging into their account on your Apple TV. The Terms of Use for iTunes Store content have always been to require you to only purchase and play the content from the store in the location where you live and to use a credit card registered in that location. Previously Apple seem to have been somewhat lenient on enforcing such restrictions, perhaps now they are not. However I don’t really have any evidence to support this suggestion, except that changes made to accounts in these areas do appear to be helping many.
If you are successful in resolving your problem, perhaps you would let us know exactly which action resolved the problem for you. If you are having this problem to begin with, can you also tell us your location.
