Is inter-company setting required

Hi Experts,
I have a scenario which goes this way:
One company code (sales org) creates a contract. This is for leasing equipment that this contract is created. And the monthly billing keeps happening as per the billing plan type selected.
During the life of this contract this contract is sold to the other company code. And a replica contract is created in this second company code with customer as the first company code. This is carried out to avail tax benefits in the Europe. And the periodic billing to happen on the same dates as that of the actual customer. In this case my client says that it is an inter-company billing which needs to be created. Is there a requirement for inter company billing for that mater intercompany sales at all.
If you can put your views and experiences forward it would be of great help.
Regards
Chakradhar

Hi Paturi,
Business nature wise it is definately an Intercompany deal.  But the fact is that Standard SAP does not support these kinds of intercompany dealings.  Standard SAP Intercompany works only on the criteria that the order is booked by co. 1 & the delivery is made by co. 2 and then it creates an intercompany billing between co. 1 & co. 2.  For your scenario, this will not work.  You might have to build some workaround to make it happen.  Therefore, it would be gr8 if you can explain the scenario in more detail... May be then i can be of any help in explaining you the necessary config.  Also, alternatively you can search in SAPOSS for your industry specific workarounds.  As far as i know SAP intercompany does not works for Contracts....
If you need my help then pl. send me the detail requirements on my email ID and i will do whatever help i can do to you.
Thanks

An Intercompany sale transaction takes place when a sale occurs & the selling sales organisation belongs to a different company code than that of the delivery plant.
Intercompany business processing describes business transactions, which take place between two companies (company codes) belonging to one organization. The ordering company orders goods from a plant, which is assigned to another company code.

  • Order Related Inter Company configuration required

    Hi,
Can anybody tell me what all customization need to be done for order related intercompany billing?
I gone through with OSS note 63549 but still not clear.
    Thanks in advance
    Regards,
    SATYA

    Hi,
As to the intercompany sales process, you should have the following configuration:
    1. If you need to use the intercompany billing document, billing type IV must be maintained and assigned to the relevant sales document types
    2. Output type RD04 is used to enable intercompany billing to carry out posting to vendor account or invoice entry. In the standard system, billing type IV is assigned to output procedure V40000, which contains this output type. For information on setting up intercompany billing, see the online implementation Guide. Billing type IG is used for internal credit memos.
    3. For condition records used in intercompany sales processing, one of the following condition types must be maintained:
    * PI01 (fixed amount per material unit)
    * PI02 (percentage of the net invoice amount)
    4. Permissible combinations of plant and sales organization must be defined
5.Sales area data (sales organization, distribution channel, and division) must be assigned to each plant that participates in intercompany sales processing
    6. You must also create the following Sales master data:
    7. A customer master record for intercompany billing; this must be assigned to the ordering company code.
    8. Condition records for intercompany billing for every permissible combination of plant and sales organization
Beside these configurations, you should also define the G/L account number for intercompany sales processing.
    Hope can help you!
    Good day

  • Inter - company Billing - Assign Organisational units by plant

    Hi Experts
Im posting this since I found the same question closed, unanswered.
We are on IS - Retail and I have done all configuration for Inter-company Billing. However when I create the inter-company billing document I get the following error, "Sales organization & is not defined"
I checked SAP note 308989 in which it says the delivering plant (Site) needs to be attached to both the Ordering and Delivering companies Sales organisation, Distribution channel combination. Also this needs to be done as part of master data in WB02, which I have done.
It also says that the 2 entries maintained should be present in the table in transaction OVV9 - Assign Organisational units by plant. However, in my case the attachment of the site to the ordering companies sales org. is missing in the inter-company set up. Also it does not give the option of creating a new entry.
Appreciate if someone could help me resolve this so I could create the inter company invoice.
    Thank you,
    Afzal

    Hi Afzal,
in all the customizing setting of note 308989 are good, then those fields should be filled.
    Please check it very carefully.
Please check in customizing of sales order type (transaction VOV8) if the intercompany billing type maintained.
In case of stock tranfer order intercompany (where there is not sales order), run transaction 0VLK, display the delivery type used, and check the order type present in field 'Default Ord.Ty.' (usually it is 'DL').
Then check in VOV8 for this sales order type.
If everything is fine, then it is necessary to debug the delivery creation.
The field LIKP-VKOIV etc. should be filled in program FV50XFLK_LIKP_FUELLEN_IV in intercompany sales; program FV50XFLK_LIKP_FUELLEN_IV_UML in stock transfer order intercompany.
    Best regards,
    Ivano.

  • Requirement transfer in inter-company sales

    Hi experts,
Pls help to look into the following problem.
The business senario is inter-company sales.
The requirement is that when the sales order is created, the Demand block is automatically applied on sales order and no requiement is transferred.
And afterwards, go to change the sales order to change the schedule, to fulfill the following demands:
    1.Demand Block will be released.
    2.Demand is transferred to PP.
    3. ATP check is activated.
Pls kindly indicate what kindly of cfg needs to be made to make the business scenario fulfilled? Is there any special requirement for the customer and material?
    Regards,
    Nadali

    Hi,
First of all configure your sales doc. type by copying the standard sales order and assigning a delivery block in the shipping tab of customization of sales doc. type.
for this you can go to SPRO-sales and distribution-sales-sales doc header-sales doc types.
select OR and copy it and configure your own sales doc type as per described above.
Before you remove the delivery block of the sales document type, ensure you have made a production order by t:code CO01.
provide the necessary details like material, quantity, etc
and release to production, so that an order can be made on its basis.
    hope this would help.
    regards,
    Siddharth.

  • Inter Company Credit Memo (Internal Credit Memo)

    Hi,
I have searched the forum using: 'Inter Company Credit' ' Internal Credit Memo' and 'IG'.
Found some information but still do not have full picture.
We use an inter company process - similar to cross company selling - where company code A supplies company code B via an inter company PO.  Company code A then bills company code B using the standard inter co billing type (IV), this has output RD04 set up which makes the posting via an idoc into the receiving company code's financials.
    This all works very well.
Although we are now at the stage where we need to issue internal credits ie company code A credits company code B - for example goods did not arrive.
Seems that this is a real grey area - searched everywhere - internet, SAP, books etc.  I have not found any comprehensive information ie full process and configuration required.
I have learnt that all inter-company billing must be in relation to a delivery - is this correct?
    I have 2 scenarios:
      1.  Goods are returned back to the supplying company code, so therefore need to to raise an internal credit memo.
Can returns order RE be used for this, using company code's B internal customer number as the account number?  RE is set up with the inter-company billing type IG, so this would bring the stock back on hand into company code A.
The credit would then be processed against the rtns delivery (LR) but how would billing know which billing type to use, in other words does billing know that we are trying to process an inter company transaction?
      2.  Goods are not returned - just wish to process a credit.
As a delivery document is required, we still need a delivery to be created in this process.
I have found SAP note 24756 which explains the set up  of new order type, doc flow, item cat etc -  I think this is all required so that the returns delivery used is just a dummy delivery therefore not relevant to warehouse / PGI.  Is this set up still required?
Does anyone out there have any experience in this area?  I think there is a real lack of knowledge in this area......I'm really struggling!!!!!
Incidentally we require the credit to be processed via idocs same as normal billing.
    We are on 4.6C.
    Many thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Guy

Unfortunately, I don't have enough experience with intercompany billing to consult you on these questions. Also I've never worked with a release older than 4.7.
You might want to read [SAP Help|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_470/helpdata/en/dd/5614e7545a11d1a7020000e829fd11/frameset.htm] and request your manager to get a consultant specifically with the intercompany experience for a few days.
When posting on SDN, I'd recommend to ask only specific questions when you run into an issue (after you've done research and tried to resolve it yourself, of course). Large "blanket" posts rarely get any response here (and for a good reason).
I'm guessing that your sales org. error is because one of these prerequisites is missing:
    - Permissible combinations of plant and sales organization must be defined
    - Sales area data (sales organization, distribution channel, and division) must be assigned to each plant that participates in intercompany sales processing
This is mentioned in SAP Help (see link above).
    Good luck!

  • How to prevent GRN manually for Inter Company PO?

    Hi Experts,
We have Inter Company purchase process for which, sales order is created through IDoc in the backend on creation of Inter Company PO in SRM.  By processing the sales order, outbound delivery is created and thereby inbound delivery and based on it, GRN is posted automatically by a job run.
The PO won't allow GRN manually beforehand but once if a partial delivery is done, then the PO allows doing further GRN manually.  The business requirement is not to allow this even.  How this can be achieved?
Can you please share your ideas?
    Thanks in advance

    Thanks for your feedback Narendra,
I have thought of that solution (using customer exit at save), but hoping maybe there was a setting in Customicing eather in CO or in PM to make message CJ066 appear. When looking at the source code it looks tlike there is a setting in customizing to be triggered, but I cannot find out where..

  • PO Number Check on an Inter-Company Consignment Fill-up Order

    Hi Gurus,
I am working on an Inter-Company Consignment Fillup Scenario. When i create an order in CRM the order is error free. Upon replication i get an error. The error message is
Purchase order "TEST PO" does not exist in the system (see long text) (Notification E V1 583) - TEST PO is the PO entered.
The requirement is to enter any PO and ECC should not check if a Purchase Order exists for the PO entered in ECC.
This was working before we applied support packs in our environment 10 days back.
Well we do not create orders in ECC, if i try to create one in ECC the error is
Purchase order Test PO does not exist in the system
    Message no. V1583
    Diagnosis
You are creating an order for a consolidated company and must eliminate internal business volume. For this reason, the system tries to determine if the related purchase order exists. This is not the case, however.
    Procedure
Enter the relevant purchase order number
    Thanks,
    Kiran AV

    <b>Consignment Cycle:</b>
    1. Consignment fill up:
    Sales document type is KB
    Item category KBN
    schedule line category 1
In this step, you are not invoicing the customer. document flow is sales order -
delivery item category. It will not be relevant for billing and pricing because you are not charging money for these goods in this step.
In schedule line category, you will set movement type 631 & set for availability check and TOR.
    2. Consignment Issue.
Once the customer informed you that he used all the goods or partial goods then you will create consignment issue for used goods.
    Sales document: KE
    Item category: KEN
schedule line category: C0 or C1
Here you are invoicing the customer(because he used the goods). you are assigning the delivery document and billing document to the sales document.
In item category, you are setting relevant for billing, pricing, special stock.
In schedule line category, your setting is 633 movement type, relevant for availability check & TOR.
    3. Consignment Return:
Customer found that some goods are damaged or he not able to sold the goods he want to send it back. that you are creating this document.
    Sales document type: KR
    Item category: KRN
You will assign delivery document and billing to sales document. you will create return order, return delivery, return billing.
Your setting item category relevant for billing, returns, pricing, special stock.
Your setting schedule line item category: 634 movement type, NO availability NO TOR.
    4. Consignment Pick up:
Even if you create the consignment return the goods are not come to direct to your plant. For that you need to create consignment pick up. here the owner ship is not changing so you do not need to create billing.
Assign return delivery to sales document type.
    Sales document: KA
    Item category: KAN

  • Inter company Automatic postings from Customer to Vendor

    Dear experts
I am working on connecting two company codes where billing invoice of one company code 100 will be vendor postings for other company code 200 in the same server of SAP version 4.7
    Requirement is
In company code 100, when Sales order is billed in SAP, it will post relevant documents in C.Code 100 at the same time, it should also post the relevant documents in C.Code 200 as vendor postings.  where C.Code 100 rendered services to C.Code 200.
Request your help and advices to meet above requirement.
Both company codes are in same server of SAP.
    Thanks in advance.
    S Habib Pasha.

    Dear Habib,
I think the issue is you've got confused as to how to enter inter-company postings in the system.
Consider the double entry you need to post. In config what you set up is the clearing accounts (OBYA). What you need to enter is the Revenue/Cost accounts which may be different for each postings.
    For E.g consider the following.
Company 100 sells material to company 200.
In F-02 what you will posting will be:
    Company          GL A/c                      Amount
    100     Cr     Revenue A/c      10,000
    200     Dr     Material Cost      10,000
Once you simulate, you will see
    Company          GL A/c                     Amount
    100     Cr     Revenue A/c      10,000
    200     Dr     Material Cost      10,000
    100     Dr     Inter-co 200       10,000
    200     Cr     Inter-co 100       10,000
    Hope this is clear.

  • Inter-company Posting in F110

    Hello All,
I would like to know if there is  any standard SAP Program/IDoc which creates inter-company postings while making payment to the Inter-co Customers/Vendors in F110.
For example: Company A and Company B are related to one group. Company B made some sales to Company A. Now Company A has to make payment to Company B. Assuming that all the Trading Partners are set-up properly and Vendor and Customer Master Data has also been maintained.
While executing the APP Run in F110, if the Company A makes the payment, there will be a payment document that gets generated. At the same time, we expect some interco receipt posting in Company B(automatically).
Is there any Standard SAP Program/BTE/ any other solution to meet the requirement.
    Thanks & Regards
    Balaji Kancherla

    Hi there
Cross company postings using the standard FI cross company clearing accounts (which is also the way we do it in the travel management) is only possible for company codes in the same country and forming an integrated company liable to sales tax.
In all other cases the scenario should be handled by posting the travel expenses to sales orders situated in the vendor's company code and invoice creation for the other company code responsible for the expenses.
So ideally it should be done across one tax schema and the standard behaviour when posting cross-company is, that all
the tax is calculated in and posted to the leading company code - so this company code is the company code of the vendor.
Moreover the functionality in FI splits the document per company code by creating the clearing accounts 1 per tax code, which also requires the clearing accounts to be posted with tax.
    Hope this helps
    Sally

  • What the setting required in vendor master for Intercompany or intracompany

What the setting required in vendor master for Intercompany or intracompany orders
    Thanks,
    Kiran

    Hi,
For the inter company STO scenario
Create a vendor for the company code of receiving plant, using account group :0007 Assign this vendor to Delivering plant
in the Purchasing view>Extras>Add. Purchasing data>Plant.
Also create an internal customer for the supplying sales area and assign it to the vendor, it helps in determining the Shipping point.
