Is it just me, or has Verizon's CS taken a dive?
Can someone please tell me why I now have to pay $30 dollars to upgrade my phone with Verizon? I'm already going to commit to two more years with you and you want to charge me to upgrade my phone from the one that is shaddered and barely usable, that you wouldnt work with me on. Then a week ago, I call and the gal said if I paid my bill and called back today, 11/20, because thats 30 days early, that I would be able to upgrade to the G2, and they could honor the internet price. Otherwise, I could have paid x amout and got x amout refund.. and she said NOTHING about a $30! I call today, and absolutely none of that is being done! I'm honestly thinking about switching carriers..
I agree. I believe that by 2016 there will be no such thing as contracts.
What people don't realize is that, at the end of the day (or in this case the contract), you're paying the full retail price for your device anyway. Whether you do Edge and it's specifically stated that the cost is spread over 24 months or you get the discount and sign a 2 year agreement. Do people really thing that the pricing structure doesn't have the cost of that phone built into it?
I will tell you what, as long as VZW offers the discount on the monthly line access fee for being on Edge, I will never go back to a contract. Why? Because I can upgrade when I want to AND with the discount the net increase on my bill is $5. Multiply that by 20 month payment plan I am on is $100. If I was on contract I would have paid $230 for my device. $100 over 20 months or $230 up front? No brainer to me.

How has verizon come along in overlaying LTE on the 3g footprint?
I was reading some pretty old articles this week that said VZW was wanting to have LTE wherever it currently has 3g by the end of 2014. I just switched back to verizon since March, and was wondering how this has come along?
Yes 1900 is what they use for 3G. It's PCS spectrum. Right now they are only going to refarm part of it. Verizon uses 1x or 850 MHz for calls and texting. That won't be refarmed for 5 or 6 years. One would think assuming Verizon gets some 600 MHz spectrum that that would be immensely better than 850 MHz is. Not to mention that 850 MHz will still be used just on LTE not CDMA. I'm not sure why that would be different as far as reliability. I've used their HD voice and when you call someone else that also has it it's WAY better. It doesn't sound like a cell call at all. it's about as close to a old fashioned land line call.

I tried to uninstall and reinstall itunes to remedy the problem. Everytime I attempt to open itunes it just says "itunes has stopped working" and it takes me to the screen to download an update. I tried that and it still says the same thing. Any ideas? Thanks!
having the same problem will not allow itunes to work since update. I have not been able to connect my touch. Need assistance to fix this. Have unistalled all progams a number of time with no joy. There has to a solution to this as prior to update things where going good.
Apple hope you can give some answer cos waste if this can not be fixed. -

what does it mean when you receive a text on your iphone 6 from your own number and the message is duplicated on each side (sent/received) and has "verizon message" with a long number at the end of the text, duplicated as well?
Great question stacybrownie! Let's get to the bottom of this so that it's not a cause for concern. When a message is sent to/from your own number, it will display as one sent, one received. This makes it display two messages as you are seeing. Let's clarify the second part of your question. Where do you see "Verizon Message" exactly? What is the long number at the end of the text? When did this start and is it with all text messages or only this instance?

Any experience with Apple fixing Iphone just after warranty has expired
My iPhone has just past a year old, actually it's now 54 Weeks since I purchased it. The Touch Screen has just stopped working, it was fine, I went to unlock it and it didn't respond. I've now reset, restored etc and the touch part of the screen is just dead.
Has anyone had any experience getting Apple to fix a phone after the warrenty has expired? The touch screen seems to be a common problem with the phone, and it renders it completly useless and if just happens to fail just after the warranty has expired the only option is to pay for a brand new phone, or use the $199 service option.Call iPhone support or talk to a genius at an apple store. If it is an issue that is really common they might make an exception to the warranty. Can't hurt to ask if you have the time to wait on hold.

I just signed up with Verizon 45 days ago and am unhappy with my service. I know about the ETF fee of $350/ per line but are there any other fees I will need to pay for the actual phone.
There are no other fees. You are not stuck with the phone, you can do whatever you would like to do with it.

You need to use the Apple IDs that you created for them for iCloud as well as iTunes. You will also find that you need to use them for messages and face time. -
I am updating the software on my daughters IPOD touch 4th generation and it is going on 4 hours now. I know this is not normal. What can I do? It synced just fine, but has been stuck on "updating ipod software" for 3 hours now!
She has had it for about 6 months and this is the first time we have plugged it into the computer since then. I can not exit out of itunes either.If you still have the problem after retoring the iPOd to factory defaults/new iPod then The iPod is likely defective and replacement is required. You can make an appoinment at the Genius Bar of an APple store or take it back to BestBuy if within warranty

I cannot receive text messages from a certain person who also has Verizon.
In the past three days, I have been unable to communicate with my friend who also has verizon service. They have Palm Pixi. I have already restarted my phone and deleted the contact to no avail. I can send him text messages and it looks like they are transmitted but he does not receive them. Furthermore, he is sending me text messages which I am not receiving. Please assist.
Let's ensure you're able to stay in constant contact with your friend, Vlink. I certainly want to take a close look over the issue. Have either of you recently moved into a new device? Are they the only contact your unable to reach and vice versa. What zip code are you currently in?

My iPhoto hasn't upgraded at all, just the icon has changed, but the all graphic hasn't changed, whats the problem ?
I'm having the same problem...it says that it upgraded (it says iPhoto 9.5 when I go into 'About iPhoto') and the new features seem to be there (when I click on share, I have the new option of ordering photo's like it shows in the pictures on the site, ordering a photo album, etc), but the main user interface is still the old one. Instead of having the new buttons on the bottom for Events, Faces, etc, I still have all of those on the old toolbar on the lefthand side...so confused haha.

How can I disable the Security Settings popup in Acrobat XI?
We are currently using Acrobat X and are getting ready to upgrade to version XI. We dynamically set the security settings w/a button in the toolbar menu to secure documents. Works great. However, while testing the same functionality in version XI a p
