Is it possible to AUTOMATICALLY import taxonomies?

Hello!
The process of import of complete taxonomy consists of the following steps:
1. Import the hierarchy into the taxonomy table.
2. Import the attributes into the attributes table.
3. Import the attribute text values into the attribute text values table.
4. Import the node-specific attribute links into the attribute links table.
I created a map (including last 3 steps, as I already have the hierarchy in taxonomy table) and port (Automatic).
But when I try to import using MDIS it imports only attributes, in other words performs only step 2.
Is it possible to perform these three steps one by one automatically?

So I would like to import into three destination tables for taxonomy in one map.
Is it the case of using joins and lookups? If yes, then could you explain what should I do?

If your backup copy of the old computer was not stolen, then use it to put everything back.

How do I keep itunes from automatically importing mp3's from other sources

I merge multiple files into single mp3 files. I used to be able to do this and add them to a folder to add to iTunes at a later point, at my leisure. Now, when I merge these into mp3 files, they are automatically being added to iTunes and it is driving me nuts. I use either internet explorer or google chrome. I have since deleted chrome as this problem started soon after I installed chrome. However, it is still automatically importing these files. I want to add them, but at a later point, not automatically. Any ideas on how I can make this stop?

Hmmm ... the only the possibility I can think of is that:
something is causing Windows to open the mp3 files as soon as they are created, and
iTunes is set as the default program for mp3 files
This would result on the behavior you are observing, though I'm not sure what the "something" would be. It may be worth trying this:
In Windows Explorer, select any mp3 file
right-click, select Open with and then Choose default program
Is iTunes selected here, like this?
If so, try changing the default to Windows Media Player, make sure the "Always use the selected program ..." box is checked, and click OK.
Now try your mp3 joining process again - when it finishes, does the mp3 file now open in Media Player rather than being added to iTunes? Even if so, this doesn't really solve the problem as I would expect the mp3 joiner program to just create the mp3 file and not subsequently try and open it ... however, this might give an indication whether this a direction to go in (or not).

Is It possible to automatically configure ATO Items in OM?

We are implementing oracle R12.
I have a requirement on which we receive customer demand through EDI. We use oracle ecommerce Gateway and RLM modules for importing demand which finally needs to go to OM.
CUstomer however instead of sending us an specific item code in the demand, he only send us a generic item, and besides It , It sends a list of specification whcih indicate how we need to produce that item. THe sum of their generic item plus the specifications results into an specific item which we need to have setup in oracle.
It really looks to be an ATO scenario. I know that we can use OM and also oracle configurator for managing ATO scenarios, but I have seen this working perfectly when user manually enters the demand in OM or oracle configurator, and manually also selects the proper optio classes/Options from the Model item structure. THis wont work for our case because customer demand needs to be automatically imported.
You know if there is a way for we to manage this ATO scenario, including the import of the customer demand with the generic item (which would be like the model item) and the specifications (which would be like attibutes setup in the option class/Option items) and then oracle to be able of automatically generate the configuration item, by automatically matching the specifications contained in the demand versus the ones available in the option class/option items ?
If this is possible, would It be possible using only OM module, or It would be required also Oracle configurator?

Order Management provides you with the ability to import ATO and PTO configurations from legacy systems or EDI. In your case, you should define the ATO/PTO model first and then import the order and configuration selections from the EDI.
The order import will let you create an Order even if the selections are invalid.
You should then programmatic book and progress the order (using Order actions api).
If the configuration is valid, then the API will generate a * number (ATO item), create bom/routing as appropriate and place that item on the sales order.
If the configuration is invalid, it won't let you book the order. Once you have fixed the invalid selections/configurations, you will be able to book and progress the order.

My Favorites were automatically imported from Internet Explorer when I started with Firefox, however I am unable to "organize" or otherwise work with or delete any Favorites in Firefox. When I click on "Organize Favorites" only a blank pop-up screen comes up. Please advise as to what I need to do to be able to organize and delete Favorites within Firefox.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Automatic imports???

I have a very noob-y question about iTunes. Why does iTunes not automatically import music that I put in my "My Music" folder? That folder is set to my default "iTunes Music folder location". I'd like to be able to copy music into that folder using explorer (or any other tool) and, the next time I open iTunes, see it in my library. This would be akin to Media Player's auto-import settings. Is this possible in iTunes?

If you have an XML application set up that supports both import and export, you could
include a very simple XSLT transform in one direction that does the unwrapping.

It's not everything covered you will need to automatically create business roles and assign them. To explain this in detail is like writing another blog... You can also have a look at /docs/DOC-8983#section6. There you find "Identity Management for SAP System Landscapes: Configuration Guide" and other documents. They help to get familar with the possibilites of SAP NW IdM, but don't mention how to implement your case in detail.

Automatic import of roles to BI from MDM system?

Hi,
we do have custom MDM system. Since our authorization system is complex and heavily based on master data I wonder is it possible to achieve automatisation of transfering roles from MDM system to SAP BI?
General idea is to make a templates (PFCG - download template role to file) for BI roles which will be kept in MDM and used to generate a new role (based on new master data by simple search/replace in template file). Next issues are to transfer and import newly generated role to BI form MDM. At the moment we are using services and XML to transfer master data from MDM to BI and intend to use it in case of roles.
What we are missing, at the moment, is a way to automatically import role to BI (report which would do job of manual GUI role upload in PFCG)?
We were considering puting a such report for importing roles to BI to a process chain.
Any other ideas?

You should definitely use the possibility to generate BI Analysis Authorization from data
rather than creating PFCG roles in BI system:

You should define your own datasource in MDM system to extract the current authorizations there
and then create data flow to store the data in copies of the template DSOs for generating authorizations.

ITunes automatically importing songs once they hit my computer

Wonder if you can help. iTunes is automatically importing any music file that hits my computer into iTunes when i dont want it to.
I try to keep my iTunes collection "clean" with just the things i really want to keep but i have lots of other music files around my computer (demo files i am listening to, mp3's sent by friends). I store them in my Sony/Users/Music directory. my iTunes media folder is set below that at Sony/Users/Music/Itunes/iIunes Music so it should be quite simple to keep them separate.
however, since i downloaded the latest version of iTunes last year, now for some reason it seems to look into the higher level "Music" directory (that includes all my other music files) and anytime anything appears in that directory, it automatically imports it and moves it into the iTunes permanent collection, which is making it a mightmare to try to keep my various files organised.
Has anyone else had this problem and/or can suggest remedies?

Because itunes doesn't do that (watch folders), hasn't done it since it was first released, and that's been one of the most asked-for feature over the years.

Howto: Automatically import files from folder at app launch!

I've never used iPhoto much, but I am starting to like it. I don't exactly know why, but anyway. A thing I'd like to do (and I don't know if that's possible or not) is have iPhoto automatically import photos from one or more directories (or a directory + subdirectory) when I start the program. I've seen similar questions like mine, and some AppleScripts/FolderActions on how to make iPhoto launch and import files when they are put in a certain folder. But I'd prefer if it didn't automatically start. Sometimes I want to just drop some photos into a folder without wanting to look at/edit them right way, and so these scripts don't suit me. Perhaps what I want, can also be done with AppleScript (I know it's powerful!) but either way, I would appreciate if someone could help me out here or at least answer me if it can be done (in a way that is simple for me!).

Go to your Pictures Folder and find the iPhoto Library there. Right (or Control-) Click on the icon and select 'Show Package Contents'. A finder window will open with the Library exposed.
Look there for a Folder called 'Auto Import'. Make an Alias to the Folder (File -> Make Alias)
Drag the alias to the Desktop. *Make no other changes*.
Pop files onto that Alias, they'll be imported next time you launch iPhoto.
This seems to be an option that was being added to v7 and then not finished.
You may also be able to concoct something with Automator or check out Hazel

Automatically Import Updated Files Into Premiere CC

We are working on a feature animated film and the studio doing our compositing work is sending us updated hook-ups of each shot after every render. We are then importing those shots into bins labeled with the appropriate sequence numbers into the Premiere Pro CC project panel. It has proven to be very time consuming to manually update all of the shots in each folder and we're wondering if someone knows of an easier method or possibly a script that could automatically ingest the new files we receive and organize them into the respected folders as they're delivered to us? This would be a huge time-saver.

This wouldn't really help because it's not just a matter of replacing the older files with the newer ones. In every folder we are getting brand new files with new names and potentially new lengths. Therefore it would be ideal if there was some plug-in or a script that could automatically detect any new files in the linked folders and automatically import them into Premiere. This is a huge project with animated shots in many different stages of completion and it's extremely time-consuming to pick through these new shots and manually drag them into premiere each time. If Premiere doesn't have a way of doing this, I feel like this could be a good feature request.

4) If your application is already in the box then it is the default application for opening that kind of file and you don't need to do anything more. Close the get info window.
5) If the application showing in the menu is not the one with which you wish to open the file then select a new application. If your application does not appear there then select the "other..." and track down the application (usually in the Applications folder at the main level of the computer).
6) If you wish to change all files of this type to open with this application in future, make sure the "change all" button is selected.
7) Close the get info window.

With iPhoto every new photo was automatically imported and saved on my local disk (with "full resolution" that's what I only need). In the new photo app I have still my photo stream and when I move a photo (drag and drop from the photo stream) to a new album it indicates a (plus). My understanding is that the photo is now copied to my local disk. But when I deleted the photo in the photo stream it was also deleted in the album !?
If that is the case I can use the photo stream only until I reach the max of 1.000 photos, then I have to delete photos and I will have no copy left.
How can I "physically" copy a photo of the photo stream to my local disk? I just want to "transfer" all pictures taken with Ipads, Iphones to my central storage on the Mac. Please don't propose to connect it via iTunes (cable) to the Mac.
Any other suggestions?

The amazing device cannot do it because no amazing developer has written an app for it. There is some interest, others have asked, but i have a hunch that the market is fairly limited, and no developer has jumped at the chance just yet.
Any sort of tethered approach means try to feed the material to the pad thru the cck. Which means the app would have to use the allowed/existing cck pathway in a manner that does not violate the sandbox rules. That may be the problem.
