Is it possible to call on a link in a dynamic page?

I have created a dynamic page with sql code in it. When I go to customation form, for the page I just created, there is a button called run dynamic page. When I click this the sql code on the page execute. I can also make a link to the customation form so when I run this link the page with button run dynamic page appear. The question is if there is someway you can use this link in another dynamic page you just created so you get a page with the button run dynamic page when you run the page? Or is there another solution to the problem to get a page with a button to run sql code?

Hi,
You can call a component's customization form in the dynamic page like this
<HTML>
<HEAD>
<TITLE>Example</TITLE>
</HEAD>
<BODY>
<H2>Example of A Dynamic Page</H2>
<ORACLE>
begin
SJAYARAM903_1G.RPT_0911010900.show_parms;
end;
</ORACLE>
</BODY>
This would render the customization form in the dynamic page.
Thanks,
Sharmila

  • Is it possible to call ActionForm on auto load of a page???

    hi...
    I have a page OrderList.jsp that contains a list of fields(sno, ordername, orderdate).
    These are stored in a database.
    There are three classes.
    Order ActionForm -> OrderAction -> OrderDAO
    I have to display the orderlist, using <action tag>
    by calling OrderActionForm, which calls OrderAction, tht call OrderDAO that has retrieve fields from Database.
    How can I make a call to <action>, there are only text boxes that are to
    be filled automatically on loading of page orderlist.jsp
    Please help me..

    Hi thumper, if you have access to InfoPath, you can add the form to a page using the InfoPath web part. Otherwise, use SP Designer with instructions below:

  • Is it possible to have an asset link to the previous page?

    Hello!
    Okay so I my website have over 200 pages and I wanted to make a single button that functions as a web browsers back button.
    Is this possible or am I going to have to put an asset on each individual page telling it to go back to the specific page that it was just on?

    Hi,
    There is html code for back to the previous page.
    Google it to be sure to get the one that works for you.

  • Struts - HTML:link tag with dynamic page attribute?

    I am trying to use the html:link but the page value is dynamic (resulting from the bean within the iterate tag). The code below doesn't work - error. Is there a way to use all Struts tags and make this happen. Any ideas?
            <logic:iterate id="myMenuForm" property="menuItem" scope="session" name="menuForm" >          <html:link page="<bean:write name="myMenuForm" property="menuDisplayName"/>">                  <bean:write name="myMenuForm" property="menuDisplayName"/>          </html:link>        </logic:iterate> Thanks,
    mlv

    Thanks for all your help. Based on all you your comments, it is now working
    and I thought I would provide some details about how I got it working.
    There are not that many examples within the Struts documentation.
    id = unique name for the object that can be referenced within the iterate
    tag.
    name = is the Bean, in this case it's the ActionForm, that contains the List
    object that will be iterated. In my case, I have a ActionForm that contains
    a List property that contains all the menu item rows from the databse.
    property = is the property name within the ActionForm that is the List
    object. Links to the getter method
    Within the <bean:write> tag you use the id name to get a handle on the final
    object from the iterate tag and the property is one of the property values
    within the bean that is contained within the List.
    So in this case I have a ActionForm bean that contains a List property that
    contains a collection of beans.
    FormAction - bean
    property menuItems of type List contains:
    - row 1 = bean (with a property of menuDisplayName)
    - row 2 = bean (with a property of menuDisplayName)
    - row 3 = bean (with a property of menuDisplayName)
    Here's the JSP code for the tag.
            <logic:iterate id="myMenuForm" name="menuForm" property="menuItem" >
              <html:link page="www.yahoo.com"/>
                      <bean:write name="myMenuForm" property="menuDisplayName"/>
              </html:link>
            </logic:iterate>Now I would like to make the <html:link> page attribute value dynamic from
    the iterate bean. Therefore, you can make the url for the link dynamic If
    you know how to do that, please feel free to provide some help.

  • Using database link  with a dynamic SQL in Forms 5

    I have a Form 5 application where a database link is specified in a client version of dynamic SQL. The function that the application is designed to perform is to access data in a table in a remote database and use it to populate another table in a local database with the same structure as the source table. Dynamic SQL is used because the name of the table can only be resolved during run time.
    The problem is that it gives error with code 'ORA-03113' and text 'End-of-file on communication channel' when you try to run it.
    Is it not possible to use a database link with a dynamic SQL? What can I do to overcome the problem ?

    Try to create a local view based ao the remote table and use the view.

  • HT5071 Is it possible to call a locally installed ibook from a hyperlink? What about to a bookmark?

    Is it possible to call a locally installed ibook from a hyperlink? What about to a bookmarked page?
    I have 2 questions..
    1. Can I send a link via email that when launched will open an ibook that has already been downloaded to the bookshelf?
    2. If question 1 is possible, can I take it a step further and call a bookmark, i.e. chapter 3.
    Our company has it's own appstore and I want to send out links to sections of the ibooks using bookmarks or at the very least take them to the start of the ibook.
    I don't need to give them a link to install the ibook as they already have it installed.
    Any help would be much appreciated.
    Chris.

    That would be cool, but it's not possible. The ibook is not accessible by URL in the user's bookshelf.

  • Possible to call a transaction from a planning book using a macro button?

    Hi All,
    Is it somehow possible to call a transaction using a macro button in the planning book? Also, the current selection should be passed as input parameters to the transaction.
    In my example, I am trying to run the transaction /SAPAPO/MC90 - Release to Supply Network Planning from the Demand Planning  Planning Book/Data View. This way if planners need to change forecasts mid month for specific selections, they can easily transfer to SNP without having to go out of interactive planning.
    Thank you,
    Maria

    Hello Maria,
              It's possible to call a transaction from a planning book using a macro button.
    What you can do is ..... Create a function module and inside it use the command "Call Transaction Tcode"  (ABAPer can do this) to call ur specific transaction. And this module can in turn be called from your macro. Please find the below link which explanis how to call a function module from a macro. Do let me know if you need more information on this.

  • Is it possible to call a SOAP webservice using HTTP POST adapter

    Hello Experts,
    Is it possible to call a webservice using a HTTP adapter with POST method? If yes, how?
    Regards,
    Diptee

    No this will not work since you have additional SOAP information (i.e. SOAP envelope, security information) in addition to the payload. If you need a simple HTTP-Post for example, then you don't need SOAP, you can use the more simple http protocol without the additional features of SOAP.
    Also refer to this link for differences: Difference b/w SOAP and HTTP

  • Is it possible to call a activeX control from PL/SQL...?

    Hi all,
    Is it possible to call a activeX control from PL/SQL...? If yes, please give me sample code or any link.
    Thanks,
    Pal

    The LoadLibrary() Win32 call is used to find the physical DLL and load it into memory. This API call first look in the current directory for the file, and then uses the PATH environmental variable to try and find the file.
    Thus you need to make sure PATH is properly set. A Win32 process runs in a 32bit VM (Virtual Machine). Been a very long time since I did Windows server side development, but as I recall this VM inherits the default o/s environment (unlike Unix where the parent process environment is inherited).
    You can set the environment using the Properties menu of the System desktop icon (or via Control Panel).
    However.. Oracle does not run as your user. Typically it is installed as the o/s user Oracle and this user owns all the Oracle processes (listener, instance, etc).
    So you will need to make sure that this user's environment is correctly configured... Further more than this, I'm out of my depth. Did a lot of Windows stuff back in the 90's, but for many years now I'm only using Unix/Linux professionally - with Windows being my console platform for playing games at home. :-)
    On the Linux/Unix side, I configure the environment variable via the Listener. E.g. Under the entry SID_LIST_LISTENER, I configure the external procedure handler as follows:
    (SID_DESC =
    (SID_NAME = PLSExtProc)
    (ORACLE_HOME=/tjs-dev/app/oracle/product/10.2.0)
    (PROGRAM = extproc)
    (ENVS = "EXTPROC_DLLS=ANY")
    )No idea how this applies and works on the Windows side.

  • Is it possible to call Java routines from FMS?

    Say I have a game package, most of which
    are written in Java. I am thinking
    to leave the core logics in Java, but
    change the user interface into Flash,
    and serve it over FMS. Now is it
    possible to call Java routines from
    FMS?
    I'd appreciate any suggestions.

    Yes! You can use SOAP(or XML-RPC) to call Java routines.

  • Possible to carry link selection into subsequent page that is a form?

    Say you have a web page named page_1.  There are five hyperlinks on page_1 that point to another page that is a form called form_1.  Form_1 has a field in it called field_2.
    The five hyperlinks on page_1 describe different selections that could possibly populate field_2 located on form_1.
    Is it possible to carry forward what link was click on page_1 and have it automatically populate field_2 on form_1?
    That way you only have to create one form but have the field populate based on which link was clicked leading to the form.  Is this possible?

    Page 1 links -
    <a href="page2.php?variable=red"
    <a href="page2.php?variable=green"
    <a href="page2.php?variable=blue"
    <a href="page2.php?variable=heliotrope"
    Page 2 logic -
    <?php
    $foo = array_key_exists('variable', $_GET)?$_GET['variable']:'';
    ?>
    Page 2 HTML -
    <input type="text" value="<?php echo $foo; ?>"....
    Doesn't get much simpler than that.  I don't do ASP or ASP.NET with any facility, and I don't have the javascript chops to carry that one either.  So this is how I'd do it.
