Is it possible to change the size of the 'Close' button in Full Screen viewing mode?

I am currently using Firefox for a kiosk type scenario. We require that the browser run full screen. The issue is that the 'Close' button is not large enough for users to consistently see, so they're having issues figuring out how to close an active browser window.
Can anyone tell me if it's possible to change this icon? I've tried using themes, but they tend to theme everything but the close button.
Custom configuration details are below.
Firefox version: firefox-3.0.4-1.el5.centos
Customisations:
Access to local drives disabled:
Modified the contents of /usr/lib/firefox-3.0.4/chrome/browser.jar, so that browser.js has the added stanza:

location.match(/^\//) ||
location.match(/^resource:/) ||
(!location.match(/^about:blank/) &&
location.match(/^about:/))) {
loadURI("about:blank");
}</nowiki></pre>

Try code like this:
<pre><nowiki>#window-controls .toolbarbutton-icon {

  • Firefox doesn't bring back the menu bar when toggling back from full screen view(F11)

    I have recently been using the full screen view (pressing F11). This works fine until I press F11 again to resume normal view when the menu bar does not appear. This means I cannot see the minimize / maximize / X buttons on the top right. Also, if there is another window open i.e. Word sometimes parts of this show through on the Firefox window. I try to use the latest version and so am currently using version 3.6.8
    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened
    == Not sure - maybe after the latest update?

    No, dont return it, its a glitch in Safari, and VERY annoying. I first would have to Force Quit Safari, but later learned to keep hovering the mouse in the upper right corner, even tho nothing, yeah nothing,,,,is visible.
    Keep the mouse there, and after a bit, you will see the little arrows pointing in, hit them.
    But to keep this from happening again, Im not sure.
    So anybody with further info, please post it here.

  • The Full Screen icon does not appear in Firefox 16.0.2 on Mac OS 10.6.8, and command+shift+F does not close the full screen view.

    I accidentally entered full screen view and was unable to exit. The Firefox Help article at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-make-firefox-and-websites-go-full-screen?esab=a&s=full+screen+mac&r=0&as=s says I should see a Full Screen View icon in the upper right-hand corner of the Firefox window. That icon not there. I cannot find it. It does not appear in either the full screen or non-full screen views.
    Further, the Help article's advice to exit full screen view by using the keyboard sequence command+shift+F does not work. I had to unplug my iMac and reboot. Firefox then opened in non-full screen view.
    Ideally, hitting the Escape key would cause Firefox to exit full screen view.

    I forgot one detail. This happened while I was having trouble seeing the mouse cursor (I use Apple's Magic Mouse). It had disappeared briefly. I had to drag the cursor out of the Firefox Window for it to reappear. I accidentally entered full screen view while the cursor was not visible.

  • Changing thumbnails to full screen viewing

    Hello
    When I double click on a jpeg thumbnail image in iPhoto to view full screen, the full screen version will not appear.
    It starts to appear but then what ends up showing is a exclamation mark with a grey background.
    This happens with all of the older jpegs in the library.
    I did the command/option thing when opening iPhoto to rebuild the photo library and, that didn't make any difference.
    It's probably been a couple of month's since I last used iPhoto on this MacBook and, didn't have this problem.
    So, I downloaded some newer jpegs and when I double click those thumbnails, they open in full screen viewing mode with no problems.
    Any ideas why the older jpegs will not open to view full screen?
    Using iPhoto 09 Ver. 8.1.2
    The OS for the laptop is MAC OS X Ver 10.6.8

    The exclamation mark is an indication that iPhoto has broken the file path/link to the orignal files.  Apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
    Fix #1
    Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
    Select the options identified in the screenshot.
    Fix #2
    Using iPhoto Library Manager  to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
    Download IPhoto Library Manager 4 for OS XC 10.6.8 and iPhoto  8.1.2 and later  or iPhoto Library Manager 3 (for OS X 10.5.8 and iPhoto 7.1.5 and earlier) and launch.
    Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
    Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu (iPLM 3) or Library ➙ Rebuild Library menu (iPLM 4) option.
    In the next  window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
    Click on the Create button.
    Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

  • HT5548 Is it possible to change the size of the icons shown in Launchpad? Mine seem very large.

    Is it possible to change the size of the icons in Launchpad? Mine seem very large.

    Thanks for the reply UKoC. You are close on the size. I would say they are about an inch to an inch and a half in width and only seven across the row. They just seem quite large on my display and I figured there would be an easy way. I kept thinking I just had to be missing the way for adjusting them since everything else seems to be so easy to personalize. Funny thing is that I have watched an online tutorial twice now on Apple's web site showing Launchpad and the icons shown there are smaller and more of them. I just thought I was missing the fix somehow. Thanks for confirming this.

  • I need to change the size of the view for easier reading.  Is there a way to make the page view larger without affecting the form?

    Hi Guys, good product beginning however it's not as good as many of the other Adobe product's workspaces.  I cannot change the size of the view during form design work, so it's a visual strain to work in Forms Central.  Is there a way to modify the view (not affecting the width, size or font when presented on website or on paper)?

    In Photoshop CC 2014 (Windows only) it is possible to use a setting of 200% to scale the UI. On some monitors it improves readability and on others it cuts part of the application screen. To give it a try go to:
    Edit >> Preferences >> Experimental Features
    Put a check-mark in the box and click OK
    Then close PS and re-start for the change to take effect.

  • How to change the size of the text inside a label?

    Hello,
    I would like to change the size of the text inside a label.
    Is there any way to do it Web DynPro?

    Hello Roy,
    Not possible. WDLabelDesign contains only 2 values: STANDARD and LIGHT. As workaround you can use TextView. It supports a lot of "designs" (e.g. label_small).
    Best regards, Maksim Rashchynski.

  • Changing the size of the bevel photo box in Aperture 3

    Does anyone know how I can change the size of the bevel photo box that comes with the Formal-Soft cover-medium theme. Aperture 3 is not allowing me to change the size. I would like to make it larger. I can not add a bevel bevel photo box. I have done the change with Aperture 1 before.
    Thanks

    See the post at http://photo.rwboyer.com/2010/03/15/aperture-3-book-theme-trick/ for tantalizing hint on how to make this work -- which I'm attempting right now.  (If the link gets removed, do an internet search for "aperture 3 book theme trick" (without the quotes) and you'll get it.  The "original article" referenced is essential reading -- at least the part on how to make a copy of a theme so one can play with it.  Note that Aperture has to be restarted if you create the theme copy while Aperture is running.  I've made the suggested change, but it's not taking effect. I'll experiment more and report back, but I thought others might like to know there is a possible solution.

  • Not able to change the size of the Drive

    Hello ,
    I have a template with 50 GB C drive and I want to a create a VM having 100 GB C drive using this template  . But I am not able to change C drive size from the edit settings . After changing the size from the edit settings to 100 Gb , I found that in newly created VM the size of the C drive was 50 Gb.
    If it is possible to change the C drive size to 100 Gb without making any changes in template ?
    Can anyone suggest me how to do this ?

    This question should be posted in a forum area related to a product - are you using vSphere, and if so which version?

  • How do you change image size in the title window?

    I just changed operating systems to Windows 7, which meant that I had to re install Premiere Pro CS4. I am now working on a 64 bit system. Might not make any difference, but thought I would give you the specifics just in case.  When I pull up the title window to add a title to my clip, the image is about the size of a postage stamp. How do I increase the size of the image in that window?

    Thank you again for responding Hunt. I did find out what what was happening.
    I had to reinstall the program on my computer. I just upgraded to Windows 7, and I now have a 64 bit system. When I booted up PPCS4, I assumed that my settings would be the same as they were before when I had Vista installed and didn't bother to check them when I started a new project. Well, they were not. I also added a TV tuner card to my computer. I now can watch HD TV on my computer. I suppose that it is possible that somehow PPCS4 noticed that, and set my default settings to HD, rather than NTSC DV. I just merrily went along clicking the OK button and started editing. When I start a new project now, I select NTSC DV and the Title window works just fine, and exactly the way I expect it to.
    I just received Jeff Bellune's book Adobe Encore DVD 2.0 in the mail and will be totally immersed in Encore studies today. With all of his children, I don't see how he had time to write it, but I'm glad that he did. I also ordered a book entitled Designing Menus with Encore DVD. I know that it was written for an earlier version than CS4, but I will trust what you said about that. Many things are the same with some minor variations due to upgrades in the program. The basic ideas don't change, but how you accomplish them can, and usually do over time.

    Subject: how do you change image size in the title window?
    Welcome to the forum.
    That is an odd one. The Title should be the same Frame Size as your Project/Sequence. What is it's Frame Size? Also, are you perhaps doing a Title based on an older Template, that was done for a different Frame Size?
    What happens if you choose Title>New Title>Default Still?
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • Can you change the size of the menu bar text ?

    I am getting on in years and it is harder to read the text in the menu bar. Is it possible to change the size of the text in the menu bar ?

    Christopher,
    Also If you want, you might look into the "Zoom" Accessibility feature.
    System Preferences > Accessibility > "Zoom" in the list on the left > Pick the Zoom settings you like.
    I myself am fond of and use the options "Use scroll gesture with modifier keys to zoom:" and Zoom Style: "Picture-in-Picture"
    The "Picture-in-Picture" makes a little magnifying like glass that follows my cursor around compared to the whole screen zooming in.
    The Modifier key one makes so that When I hold down ( Control ) and scroll it zooms in. You can control the depth of the zoom by scrolling more or less.
    Apples Help info on Zoom:

    Hope that helps,

  • Change the size of the screen Adobe Flash Player 11.3.31.232

    Hello! I have Adobe Flash Player 11.3.31.232 As I can change the size of video (the size of the screen, a window) during viewing of rollers or films from the Internet? And whether there is a possibility to change the size of a window of a player during video viewings in public networks and dating sites? On your sites, unfortunately I couldn't find information necessary to me.
    Thanks in advance!

  • What is happening when I change the size of the image in the program sequence window?

    I noticed that I can change the image size of my exported file. I imported a 720 x 480 DV file into CS5.5. I went to my program sequence window and changed the settings to show the smallest image in that window. I then clicked on the image and used the handles that appear to make that small image large enough to nearly fill the screen. When I exported my final file and played the resulting WMV, the image on my screen was nearly twice as large as it would have been if I had not previously altered the image size in the program sequence window. I had to do this alteration for each clip in my timeline, or the unaltered ones would stay at the smaller size. The quality did not seem to be significantly impaired. I learned about this on a youtube video. The person who did the video claimed that this was a simple and quick way to upgrade standard video to HD. Of course this is not true. He was only changing the size of the resulting video. Does anyone know what is really happing when you do this procedure and why it changes the size of the exported  video?

    The size (resolution) of the exported video is not affected by anything you do while editing.  It is dependant solely on the resolution set in the export settings.
    Ideally you want to edit in an sequence that matches your media\, which will be the same size or larger than the required export.  In other words, the same or smaller is OK.  Making things bigger in post is not the best option.  If you need things bigger, shoot them bigger.

  • For the life of me, I can't find out what size a photo is in terms of inches or how to change the size of the photo[s] so I can print them. I think I read somewhere to click edit, then click adjust. Nothing there about sizing.

    For the life of me, I can't find out what size a photo is in terms of inches or how to change the size of the photo[s] so I can print them. I think I read somewhere to click edit, then click adjust. I don't see anything about re-sizing when I click the adjust tab: only saturation and tint levels. Thank you.

    With respect to digital images, there really is no size in inches. The size is given as number of pixels horizontally and vertically. In iPhoto '09 you click the little "i" inthe lower right side of the window and it will display information related to the selected photo, including the pixel dimensions. I do not have iPhoto '11 installed so I don't know if it is the same there.
    In some applications, such as preview, it has something additional called Dots per Inch (DPI) which you would think would allow you to convert the pixel dimensions to inches. It is not a real thing, though. The DPI is determined by how large or small you have chosen to print your photo and the capabilities of your printer.
    There is also something called Aspect Ratio, which is usually expressed in inches x inches such as 6x9 but that doesn't mean the size on the screen or when printed is 6x9.  It is the ratio of the pixel dimensions.  When cropping your photos, you will have several standard aspect ratios to choose from plus any custom ones you create.
    In iPhoto '09, after you choose Print, in the Print Setting window are the settings for the size you want the photo printed. You want to shoose a setting with the same aspect ratio of your photo. Otherwise, iPhoto will resize and/or crop your photo to fit the size you have chosen.
