Hi,
I made a movie with iMovie and iDVD earlier
this year and switched computers, so I had
to transfer the files onto an external HD.
Now, when I open the file in the new iMovie,
the audio is lost, and when I open the iDVD file
in the new version of iDVD, the settings are all lost.
Therefore, I want to duplicate the DVD I successfully burned in the first place.
Is it possible to duplicate a DVD in DVD Studio Pro?
Or in other words, burn another copy of a pre-existing DVD?

You can also use DVD Studio Pro by choosing Format, and then pointing at the Video_TS folder on the source DVD. You are likely to run into trouble if it's a two layer disc or a protected one.
TS was just an abbreviation for Video_TS, which is the folder with all of the DVD-Video components built into it. Just for your interest, the empty Audio_TS folder is normal, the audio for DVD-Video is also in the Video_TS folder. The Audio_TS folder is used by DVD-Audio discs.

The "TDMS Open" node does more than open a file handle, it will load meta data (including file/group/channels' properties) and create index structures in ram for fast accessing any raw data in TDMS file. Thus, my advice is:
1) You can save the efforts to write sub-VIs to preload properties of a TDMS file at least, since they are already kept in memory after the file is opened.
2) Since index structures are presented, the performance to read data of any part in a tdms file will not be affected by the file size and the read performance might already satisfy your application. You can have a try.

Hi Andika,
To copy the cube, go to RSA1 and Rclick on the Infocube which you want to copy.
by default the technical name will be prefixed with 'C_' , for example, if your current cube name is 'ZCUBE' , the copied one name will be 'C_ZCUBE'.
however you can change the technical name, and activate it.
and then go to the old transformation, Rclick -->Copy, and edit your target name, then activate it.
and about DTP, we cannot copy, you need to create one under the new cube.

It sounds as if your ex has your AppleID and passcode. Change the passcode.

Best way to duplicate slideshow dvd with music

it is possible to copy financial statement version with different chart of accounts? If I copy the financial statement version, the Financial statement items are assign from the chart of accounts which were in the original financial statement version.
But I need to change the chart of accounts and accounts assignment as well. Is this somehow possible?

It does not make much sense, as FSV is based on chart of accounts. You will have to build your FSV from the scratch.

You could look around for "eDVD." Going back, it was being developed by Sonic, but they dropped it because of issues with Vista. About every 6 - 8 mos., some little tid-bit comes out, that the code has been bought and someone is working on it.
Also, Encore CS5 seems to have added some interactivity elements in BD, but I have only seen some bullet points, and zero details. Since Jeff did not make mention of CS5, my guess would be that the interactivity might not have been what you need - or enough details have not been released yet for any of us to know for sure. The full details will be available very soon though.

There is no direct support in PSE for burning conventional DVD’s but you could create a WMV file and edit in Windows Movie Maker or similar software or export from PSE to Windows DVD Maker if using windows Vista.

Sure, just use Handbrake to encode the DVD movie into a format that is playable on iTunes and on your iPad:

Error message when trying to copy a DVD with Roxio Toast v6.1.1

I'm trying to duplicate a DVD I made via Final Cut Pro and DVD Studio Pro by using Toast Titanium ver. 6.1.1.
About 3/4 of the way through the record process, I keep getting the following error message:
"Couldn't complete the last command because there was an I/O error.
Result code = -36"
Since I made this DVD myself, I don't believe there is any copy protection or region codes embedded.
The DVD has 2.72 GB of material on it.

Here are some things to try: Select the DVD in the Toast Copy window and choose Save as Disc Image from the File menu. When that is complete eject the DVD and insert your blank disc, choose the saved disc image with the Image File setting in the Copy window and burn your DVD.
Alternatively, drag the VIDEO_TS folder from the source DVD to your hard drive. Choose DVD-Rom (UDF) as the format in the Toast Data window. Click New Disc. Add your VIDEO_TS folder. Click New Folder and name it AUDIO_TS. Now burn your DVD.

Copy photos from DVD to Mac?

I would like to copy photos from DVD to Mac computer anyone know how to do it.

If the DVD was made on a Mac and they're JPEGs they should openable in Preview from the DVD. If so, just select them and drag them into a new folder to copy onto your hard drive. If the Mac doesn't recognize the DVD and it doesn't mount in the finder window or on the desktop, I'd say you're out of luck. But there are work arounds possible and too many to discuss without knowing a lot more about your setup and the DVD.
