Is it possible to customize the ARUN table (J_3ABDBS) and delivery creation program (transaction VL04) in SAP?

I am a student, pursuing MBA and currently doing internship with a big fashion and lifestyle company in India. I am stuck at a place where i need help.
We are planning to give customer the control over the time of delivery of their orders as per their convenience. For that I am exploring the possibility of modifying the ARUN table in such a way that an extra column is added into the ARUN table. this field will contain a flag value (1/0) where '0' will indicate that the customer wants to block delivery for the specific items.
at the time of delivery creation, transaction VL04 should check this flag value for every item. So when we try to create delivery for a whole order in one go, the delivery for the items with '0' flag value shouldn't be created.
basically, my whole purpose is to enable our SAP system to create delivery on item level instead of on order level.
Ques:
1. Is it at all possible to do what i am thinking of?
2. has any company customised the ARUN table and delivery creation program before?
3. If we go ahead with this customisation in-house, will the SAP pull back the maintenance support on account of tempering with base programs?
4. Also, please suggest other ways to do what i am trying to do?

you can use the Tables SRRELROLES and IDOCREL
if it is inbound delivery the use the business object BUS2015(outbound use LIKP)
first get the ROLEID using the Delivery number as Objectkey(business obecjt BUS2015/LIK) from the SRRELROLES,
then pass the ROLEID to the table IDOCREL to ROLE_A , get the ROLE_B,
use this ROLE_B supply to ROLEID of SRRELROLES table(business object as IDOC, )
get the objkey which is nothing But IDOC.

  • Is it possible to customize the halftone screen/angle used by the HP Laserjet 5000/5100

    Hi
When sending an image to print on our 5000s and 5100s I'd like for the printer to apply a halftone screen of 85 (frequency) and 45 (angle). However, the driver properties only has two settings - Standard and Enhanced.
I took a look at the PPD and found the following:
    *%=== Halftone Information =================
    *ScreenFreq:  "106.0"
    *ScreenAngle: "45.0"
    *ResScreenFreq 300dpi/300 dpi:  "60.0"
    *ResScreenAngle 300dpi/300 dpi: "45.0"
    *ResScreenFreq 600dpi/600 dpi:  "106.0"
    *ResScreenAngle 600dpi/600 dpi: "45.0"
    *ResScreenFreq 1200dpi/1200 dpi:  "180.0"
    *ResScreenAngle 1200dpi/1200 dpi: "45.0"
I had hoped that simply by changing the screen frequencies to "85.0" it would do the trick (since 85 does not appear to be outside of the printers' capability). However, it resulted in no changes to the prints. I know (or at least think) the changes were "seen" by the print driver because I changed some of the text that it uses in the property boxes of the print driver and those changes appeared (e.g. I changed "Standard" to "Standard 2" for one of the halftone descriptions).
My question is... can I customize the frequency/angle used or are these values fixed regardless of changes made to the PPD?
    Thank you.

What was the answer to this excellent question, please?

  • Is it possible to get the updated table records based on date & time.

Is it possible to get the updated table records based on date & time in oracle.
    Thanks in advance.

no, actually i am asking update records using 'UPDATE
or DELETE' statement, but not insert statement.
    Is it possible?
I think we can do using trigger on table, but problem
is if i am having 20 tables means i have to write 20
trigger. i don't want like this.Of course it's still possible, typically you'll find applications with a column LAST_UPDATE, probably a LAST_UPDATED_BY and so on column. You don't say what your business need is, if you just want a one of query of updates to particular records and have a recent version of Oracle, then flashback query may well help, if you want to record update timestamps you either have to modify the table, or write some code to store your updates in an audit table somewhere.

If you backed up before the upgrade, restore the backup.
If not you are going to have to erease the disk and install the older OS.
You should back up any data you want before so that it can be restored afterwards.
Is there a version of you CAD program that is Lion compatable? That would be an easier solution.

No, it is not. Perpetual licenses are not available.

FYI Mac OS X is not designed to be installed on additional Macs, unless you purchased it from the App Store, in which case you can make as many copies as you wish and install it on as many Macs as you own.

If the computer shipped with OS X Lion or Mountain Lion, the external recovery drive may only be used with the system that created it.

  • Whats better for my mbp 2013 retina in the long run? Keep it plugged in as much as possible or letting the battery hit 10% and then recharge it?

Whats better for my mbp 2013 retina in the long run? Keep it plugged in as much as possible or letting the battery hit 10% and then recharge it?

Odd you ask that, since both are HORRIBLE,   ... especially often draining your battery low.
General consideration of your MacBook battery
Contrary to popular myths about notebook batteries, there is protection circuitry in your Macbook and therefore you cannot ‘overcharge’ your notebook when plugged in and already fully charged.
However if you do not plan on using your notebook for several hours, turn it off (plugged in or otherwise), since you do not want your Macbook ‘both always plugged in and in sleep mode’.
A lot of battery experts call the use of Lithium-Ion cells the "80% Rule", meaning use 80% of the full charge or so, then recharge them for longer overall life. The only quantified damage done in the use of Lithium Ion batteries are instances where the internal notebook battery is “often drained very low”, this is bad general use of your notebook battery.
A person who has, for example, 300 charge cycles on their battery and is recharging at say 40% remaining of a 100% charge has a better battery condition state than, say, another person who has 300 charge cycles on their battery and is recharging at say 10-15% remaining on a 100% charge. DoD (depth of discharge) is much more important on the wear and tear on your Macbook’s battery than the count of charge cycles. There is no set “mile” or wear from a charge cycle in specific. Frequent high depth of discharge rates (draining the battery very low) on a Lithium battery will hasten the lowering of maximum battery capacity.
All batteries in any device are a consumable meant to be replaced eventually after much time, even under perfect use conditions.
If the massive amount of data that exists on lithium batteries were to be condensed into a simplex, helpful, and memorable bit of information it would be:
    1. While realistically a bit impractical during normal everyday use, a lithium battery's longevity and its chemistry's health is most happy swinging back and forth between 20% and 85% charge roughly.
    2. Do not purposefully drain your battery very low (10% and less), and do not keep them charged often or always high (100%).
    3. Lithium batteries do not like the following:
A: Deep discharges, as meaning roughly 10% or less on a frequent basis.
B: Rapid discharges as referring to energy intensive gaming on battery on a frequent basis (in which case while gaming, if possible, do same on power rather than battery). This is a minor consideration.
C: Constant inflation, as meaning always or most often on charge, and certainly not both in sleep mode and on charge always or often.
    From Apple on batteries:
    http://www.apple.com/batteries/notebooks.html
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1446
"Apple does not recommend leaving your portable plugged in all the time."
Keep it plugged in when near a socket so you keep the charging cycles down on your LiPo (lithium polymer) cells / battery, but not plugged in all the time. When not being used for several hours, turn it off.
DoD (depth of discharge) is far more important on the wear and tear on your Macbook battery than any mere charge cycle count.  *There is no set “mile” or wear from a charge cycle in general OR in specific.    As such, contrary to popular conception, counting cycles is not conclusive whatsoever, rather the amount of deep DoD on an averaged scale of its use and charging conditions.
(as a very rough analogy would be 20,000 hard miles put on a car vs. 80,000 good miles being something similar)
*Contrary to some myths out there, there is protection circuitry in your Macbook and therefore you cannot overcharge it when plugged in and already fully charged
*However if you don’t plan on using it for a few hours, turn it OFF (plugged in or otherwise) ..*You don’t want your Macbook both always plugged in AND in sleep mode       (When portable devices are charging and in the on or sleep position, the current that is drawn through the device is called the parasitic load and will alter the dynamics of charge cycle. Battery manufacturers advise against parasitic loading because it induces mini-cycles.)
Keeping batteries connected to a charger ensures that periodic "top-ups" do very minor but continuous damage to individual cells, hence Apples recommendation above:   “Apple does not recommend leaving your portable plugged in all the time”, …this is because “Li-ion degrades fastest at high state-of-charge”.
This is also the same reason new Apple notebooks are packaged with 50% charges and not 100%.
Contrary to what some might say, Lithium batteries have an "ideal" break in period. First ten cycles or so, don't discharge down past 40% of the battery's capacity. Same way you don’t take a new car out and speed and rev the engine hard first 100 or so miles.
Proper treatment is still important. Just because LiPo batteries don’t need conditioning in general, does NOT mean they dont have an ideal use / recharge environment. Anything can be abused even if it doesn’t need conditioning.
    Storing your MacBook
If you are going to store your MacBook away for an extended period of time, keep it in a cool location (room temperature roughly 22° C or about 72° F). Make certain you have at least a 50% charge on the internal battery of your Macbook if you plan on storing it away for a few months; recharge your battery to 50% or so every six months roughly if being stored away. If you live in a humid environment, keep your Macbook stored in its zippered case to prevent infiltration of humidity on the internals of your Macbook which could lead to corrosion.
    Considerations:
Your battery is subject to chemical aging even if not in use. A Lithium battery is aging as soon as its made, regardless.
In a perfect (although impractical) situation, your lithium battery is best idealized swinging back and forth between 20 and 85% SOC (state of charge) roughly.
Further still how you discharge the battery is far more important than how it is either charged or stored short term, and more important long term that cycle counts.
Ultimately counting charge cycles is of little importance.  Abuse in discharging (foremost), charging, and storing the battery and how it affects battery chemistry is important and not the ‘odometer’ reading, or cycle counts on the battery.
Everything boils down to battery chemistry long term, and not an arbitrary number, or cycle count.
Keep your macbook plugged in when near a socket since in the near end of long-term life, this is beneficial to the battery.
In a lithium battery, deep discharges alter the chemistry of the anode to take up lithium ions and slowly damages the batteries capacity for the cathode to transport lithium ions to the anode when charging, thereby reducing max charge levels in mAh. In short, radical swings of power to lithium cells disrupts the chemical ecosystem of the battery to hold charges correctly which likewise impedes the perfect transfer of lithium ions both in charging and discharging.  In charging your lithium battery, lithium ions are “pushed uphill” (hard) to the anode, and discharged “downhill” (easy) to the cathode when on battery power. Deep discharges, damages this “upward” electrolyte chemistry for the battery to maintain a healthy charge and discharge balance relative to its age and cycles.
Optimally, in terms of a healthy lithium battery and its condition, it is most happy at 50% between extremes, which is why low-power-drain processors such as the Haswell are ideal on lithium battery health since a partially charged battery with a low-drain processor has, in general, much more usage in hours
Battery calibration, battery memory, battery overcharging, battery training, …all these concepts are mostly holdovers from much older battery technology, and on older Apple portable Macbooks ranging from early nicads, NiMh and otherwise; and these practices do not apply to your lithium battery and its smart controllers.
Calibrating the battery on older Apple portable Macbooks with removable batteries.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH14087
There is no calibration of current Apple portable Macbooks with built-in batteries.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1490
There is no battery calibration with current Apple portable Macbooks with built-in batteries. Lithium batteries have essentially a 0-‘memory’, and all such calibration involve the estimations fed to the system controller on the SOC (state of charge) of the battery over long periods of time as the battery degrades. The software based battery controller knows the battery's characteristics, or SOC and adjusts itself. This is why there is both no need and purpose to periodically deeply drain your macbook battery, since it doesn’t affect the characteristics of the battery, and further still deep discharges are something you should not do on purpose to any lithium battery.

  • I just downloaded the Java software update and now certain programs aren't loading that use Java?

So I downloaded the new softeware update and now my programs that use Java won't load. Does anyone know what I can do.

Due to the extreme unpredictability of the Flashback Trojan, that was constantly changing (and a new variant that's been detected and seems to be worse), Apple decided to play it safe just in case the revised Java code was still vulnerable. So, Java is disabled by default for applets and must be manually enabled as needed (with the warning about possible vulnerability).
So, head on over to Java Preferences, in Utilities, and enable the thing as needed. Disable when no longer in use for security's sake. BTW, if you enable but don't use Java in awhile, it is configured to self-disable for the same reason.

Most likely you have Office 2004 which are PPC-only applications and will not work in Lion. Upgrade to Office 2011. Other alternatives are:
Apple's iWork suite (Pages, Numbers, and Keynote.)
Open Office (Office 2007-like suite compatible with OS X.)
    NeoOffice (similar to Open Office.)
LibreOffice (a new direction for the Open Office suite.)

  • "Material is not the same for confirmation and delivery"

    Hello
If this is not the right forum, my apologies. Direct me to the correct one if it is not ....
Have been doing automated test development (HP's QTP) against SAP systems for over a year. I am not an application expert - very much a newbie when it comes to application knowledge but trying to gain some. I have "googled" the phase "Material is not the same for confirmation and delivery" and have not been able to find any references. What does this mean?
I see this message for an iDoc using WE02. Have looked and looked but don't really know what I'm looking for.
    Clues?
    Thanks,
    DW

    DW,
I have never seen that exact message, but I have seen similar ones.  Generically, the message probably means that you are attempting to perform a transaction against a document (perhaps a Purchase order?) and the Material number (Part Number) contained in the transaction is not the same as the Material number in the originating document in SAP.
An example might be you have previously created a confirmation against a Purchase order, which now exists in SAP.  This Confirmation is for a specific Purchase order, item, and material.  Now, when you attempt to create an inbound delivery for the Confirmation, the material number contained in the new IDOC is different from the material number that was contained in the original Confirmation.
I don't know what IDOC Message type you are having the problem with, but generically you can do some troubleshooting. Find the SAP Material number in the IDOC (MATNR probably).  Find the appropriate reference document number in the IDOC (confirmation number?  Purchase order number? or...?), and then manually review the document in SAP to ensure that the Material numbers are the same.
If you are totally lost, you should really consult with an SAP App expert.  I am guessing that this is part of the Materials Management module, so you would be asking for an MM expert.
Or, you can send more details, and we can try to help.
What is the IDOC message type?
What is the Message number of the error message?  Functionally, what is this IDOC trying to do, from a business perspective?

  • Is it possible to name the results table.

Hi, I'm new to java and have hit a brick wall devloping a GUI which access a SAPDB database.
They layout of the GUI is:
have a awt lists in card layout, which is populated with the results of a SQL query to table REGION.
However the number of results returned can be greater then 1Mill. To minimise the mem useage, i'm using the ResultSet absolute(), first() etc methods to collect and display small chunks of the data, for the different card in the gui. This works fine :)
However, the user is able to select an item from the list to perform a new query, which the results a presented in a dialog box, not dependent on the parent frame. Works :)
But, when the user (I) try to move anothe card in the parent frame I get this error:
SAP DBTech JDBC: Object is closed
com.sap.dbtech.jdbc.exceptions.ObjectIsClosedException: SAP DBTech JDBC: Object is closed

    at java.awt.EventDispatchThread.run(EventDispatchThread.java:98)
After some reading I have come up with this hypothesis:
In the parent frame there is the object (class) RegionTable, which contains the ResultSet (rsR) of the sql query generated by it.
In the dialog box there is the object (class) ProteinTable which also contains the ResultsSet (rsP) of the sql query generated by it.
So when RegionTable querys the database the rsR points to the results table in the SAPDB. All good.
However when ProteinTable querys the database, rsR closes and rsP is valid ie. points to the results table in the SAPDB.
Thus after the second query RegionTable.rsR is unable to collect the results of its query. BAD :(
From what i have read, if the results table is named for the first query, the second call which results table is named something diff then rsR will not close, as the results table is not destroyed, thus rsR can read it's results after the second qury.
This problems occours when the objects share the same connection or diff connections.
As far as I'm aware i'm using JDBC 1.2 drivers and SAPDB latest build.
I know i could hold the results in a view, but that requies more coding, being able to name the results table in the SAPDB make it alot easier.
    So my question is:
    1. Are my assumptions correct??
    2. is there a SQL statement to name the results table for a given query?
    From SAPDB:
A result table name identifies a result table (see table).
    Syntax
    <result_table_name> ::= <identifier>
And I've got no idea what is beging impiled beyond that it is possible to name a results table. Obtained from :
    http://www.sapdb.org/htmhelp/da/ed9036dfe4b903e10000009b38f889/frameset.htm

  • Is it possible to customize the GUI of a WIA microdriver?

    Hi,
I've downloaded the WIA sample drivers and I'm developing a WIA microdriver using the sample as my starting point. One thing I'm having trouble with is the interface, I would like to get rid of the last two buttons and the quality adjustment text if possible,
keeping only color and grayscale picture, but i have no idea where to change it. I've tried changing the SupportedDataTypes in the pScanInfo structure to only color and grayscale to no avail.
Here's what my interface is looking like:
Any tips where should I look so i can customize the interface?

WIA micro-drivers are a deprecated model which is still supported for legacy device compatibility. The model offers only support for WIA 1.0 (Windows XP) and is limited in functionality
even compared with real WIA 1.0 mini-drivers (mini-drivers which could replace the common WIA 1.0 Scan Dialog shown here with their own UI Extension Dialog).
Recommend for the developer to consider moving to a WIA 2.0 mini-driver. If using one of the WDK driver samples as a template (wiadriverex or prodscan) such driver development
should not that be very much complicated over a micro-driver, without any of the micro-driver limitations.
The two mentioned WIA 2.0 driver samples in MSDN:
     https://code.msdn.microsoft.com/WIA-Microdriver-1972b1c5
    Sample
    Description
    PRODUCTION SCANNING WIA 2.0 DRIVER
The ProdScan directory contains a   sample WIA 2.0 mini-driver. This sample shows how to add Production Scanning   features to a WIA 2.0 mini-driver.
    EXTENDED WIA 2.0 MONSTER DRIVER
The Wiadriverex directory contains a sample WIA 2.0   mini-driver. This sample shows how to write a WIA 2.0 mini-driver that uses   the stream-based WIA 2.0 transfer model. It also
shows an implementation of a   very simple segmentation filter, image processing filter, and error handling   extension for the WIA 2.0 mini-driver.

  • Is it possible to make the fnd_user table as an authenticator to weblogic

    Hi,
I am looking for a way to make fnd_user table as an authenticator for a weblogic users.
Is it possible in first place without OVD and SSO ? My goal is to have fnd_users involve in human task approvals.
    Thanks
    Sai

I think your question is: how do you compare the encrypted password in FND_USER to the password that the end user entered in your custom application front end?
If that is indeed your question, you can decrypt the password in FND_USER as follows:
    1) Take the standard fnd_web_sec package and make a copy called cust_fnd_web_sec. Delete all procedures in the package body except for decrypt. Then add decrypt to the package spec.
create or replace PACKAGE apps.cust_fnd_web_sec AUTHID CURRENT_USER AS
    function decrypt(key in varchar2, value in varchar2)
    return varchar2;
    END cust_FND_WEB_SEC;
create or replace PACKAGE BODY apps.cust_fnd_web_sec AS
    -- Exception
    dml_inside_query exception;
    pragma exception_init(dml_inside_query,-14551);
-- Function to encrypt a string using a specified key.
    function decrypt(key in varchar2, value in varchar2)
    return varchar2
    as language java name 'oracle.apps.fnd.security.WebSessionManagerProc.decrypt(java.lang.String,java.lang.String) return java.lang.String';
    END cust_FND_WEB_SEC;
    2) Run the following query to decrypt the password.
    WITH guest AS
    SELECT 'GUEST/ORACLE' user_pwd,
    UPPER (SUBSTR ('GUEST/ORACLE',
    1,
    INSTR ('GUEST/ORACLE',
    - 1
    ) user_name
    FROM DUAL)
    SELECT distinct u.user_name,
    apps.cust_fnd_web_sec.decrypt
    ((SELECT apps.cust_fnd_web_sec.decrypt
    (g.user_pwd,
    u.encrypted_foundation_password
    ) apps_password
    FROM apps.fnd_user u,
    apps.guest g
    WHERE u.user_name = g.user_name),
    u.encrypted_user_password
    ) decrypted_user_password
    FROM apps.fnd_user u,
    apps.fnd_user_resp_groups_direct r
    where u.user_id = r.user_id
    and u.user_name = <user name>
    Good luck!

  • Having the possibility to customize the name of the backup directory

    Hello,
New user of lightroom v3.3, i noted the impossibility to customize the name of the backup directory.
it's a plain full text with "importé le 10 janvier 2011" for example wich is not the best way to store to retrieve old photos.
is it possible to have à traditional "importé le 2011-01-10" for example so that the directory will folow theimselves hystoricaly?

I agree that would be preferable.
