Is it possible to deploy SPProxyOperation in bin ?

Hi All,
I have implemented SPProxyOperation for sandbox solution. But this proxy deployment is GAC deployment.
Is it possible to deploy it in webapplication bin folder ?
Thanks,
Soumya Das

sandbox solution cannot access GAC or BIN. If it is accessing GAC, it is not a sandbox
solution.

• Is it possible to deploy a process in "OFF" state?

Is it possible to deploy a process in "OFF" state?

Hi Chris,
Looking through the BPEL client API, I think it might be possible to change the process state via java code. I say might, because the documentation is not that splendid. The IBPELProcessHandle interface has a method updateMetaData which allows you to change the state, among other things. I have not tried this yet so the solution a little theoretical.Sorry for that :-\
Then, when you have your java class working, you can create an Ant task for it and invoke your Ant task in the build.xml, right after the deployment target.
Kind regards,

• Urgent: Is it possible to deploy a web service EAR/JAR to a container other than WebLogic?

Hi,
Is it possible to deploy an EAR/JAR created using JwsCompile to any J2EE container?
Ideally, I would like to make use of the features that are only provided by WebLogic
Workshop, like State Management, Callbacks too. If possible, what are the steps
involved?
There is an example for interoperability included in the samples that demonstrates
the use of a WebLogic Workshop web service from an ASP.NET web service, participating
in a conversation and accepting a callback. Is it possible to do the same using
a normal C# windows or webforms app instead of using an ASP.NET web service? So,
I would like to access the WebLogic workshop generated web service with state
management and callbacks from a C# windows app.
Thanks in anticipation,
August

• Is it possible to deploy EJBs onto Tomcat server

Hi all,
Please advice me if it is possible to deploy EJBs on the Tomcat Server.
If so how to go about it?
Thanks
Ranjan

No , it is not possible.Tomcat does not have a
Ejb container.It only has a web container.
Try using free servers like Sun One application server for
deploying your ejb's.

• Is it possible to deploy Web Services to Tomcat?

Good day,
Can anybody tell me or it is possible to deploy Web Services to Tomcat 5.5.x ? It is possble for ADF, so I was wondering or it is possble for Web Services.
I tried to deploy it with the following libraries:
J2EE (excluding the servlet.jar using the filter, while this package is already present in Tomcat)
Oracle SOAP
Struts Runtime
JSP Runtime
and manually added as library:
wsserver.jar
wsdl.jar
WebServicesHtmlXmlWizard.jar
The situation at this moment is that after deployment, and execution by the a http browser the http request screens shows up as expected (I have been used Embedded stubs), but after sending I get a:

• Is it possible to deploy a portlet war file on web container?

Hi All,
Is it possible to deploy a portlet war file on web container i.e say I have a JSF or struts portlet application deployed on a portal container which I need to run as a web application.
So, I would need to deploy the application on web container.
Can this be done directly without making any changes and without importing jars?or is it not possible at all?
Did anyone try this?
Would be very nice of you if you can reply asap.
Thanks & Regards,
Nishant

I'm not sure using the DVT enabler portlet will do what you want. It basically just specifies the render dependencies to bring in the dojo and dvt javascript libraries. It doesn't provide any login support itself; the javascript it brings responds to the logged-in state of the user (accessed via DISC), so something else is required to login the user.

• Is it possible to deploy a CQ5.4 cloud?

Hi,
the header of the deploymentscript (deployscript.sh) says:
# Deploy CQ 5.4 (5.5 alpha) on AWS EC2 with multiple choices
# details see: http://wiki.day.com/content/wiki/Users/chuesler/How%20to%20deploy%20CQ5%20on%20Amazon%20EC 2.html
# author: [email protected]
# version: 2.2
Would it be possible to deploy a CQ5.4 cloud for testing/staging purposes as well via the cloud manager?
Thanks
Joerg

If you are using Cloud Manager, you don't have the option to deploy a CQ 5.4 cloud.
With Cloud Manager, you can deploy CQ 5.5 and AEM 5.6 clouds.

• Is it possible to deploy a Windows LV application to the MAC?

Does anyone know if it's possible to deploy a Windows L.V. application to the MAC? An option in application builder? A cross-compiler? Or... am I thinking too much. Does the L.V. application simply resolve it's library calls differently while on the MAC?

• Is it possible to deploy directly to a custom NuGet repository?

We want to "NuGet-ize" some of our projects. Is it possible to deploy a Nuget package directly to our NuGet site with Release Management?

Hi AusTha,
As far as I know, seems it's unavailable to deploy a Nuget package to NuGet site with Release Management. You might upload your NuGet package via
NuGet site by using Microsoft account or NuGet.org account.

• Is it possible to deploy multiple sharepoint provider hosted apps into one azure website??

Is it possible to deploy multiple sharepoint provider hosted apps into one azure website??
Rohit Pasrija

I am faced with a similar requirement although the hosting environment for the provider hosted apps would be an IIS web server in our own infrastructure.
Would it be advisable to use a common IIS website to host multiple apps? The MVC web application which will provide functionality
for the apps is already in place which is why we are checking for options to use the same web project for multiple apps.
Can the web config file's clientID be shared by multiple apps?

• Possible to deploy EJB with REPLICATE_BINDINGS == false?

Is there a way to deploy an EJB with WLContext.REPLICATE_BINDINGS == false?
There does not seem to be a way to do this using deployment descriptors? Is
it possible to deploy the EJB programmatically so I can explicitly specify
REPLICATE_BINDINGS for InitialContext?
Btw, I'm running WLS 5.1.
Thank you.

• Is it possible to deploy SharePoint or its Service Applications on: multiple DB-Servers and multiple SQL Instances?

Hello Forum,
We have a SharePoint 2013 farm (Enterprise edition) that uses one single SQL Server 2012 (Standard edition). That statement means: All my SharePoint DBs e.g. (Config, Admin, Content, and Service Apps) DBs are hosted and running onto one single instance e.g.
Server1\SQLInstance1.
We have some new requirements to install and configure BI tools such as: PerformancePoint services and PowerPivot. BI tools require either SQL Server 2012 Enterprise or BI editions, and we do NOT want to upgrade our current SQL Server1\SQLInstance1
Instead, We have other separate SQL Server instance which is enterprise edition let's name it (ServerX\InstanceX) that is running standalone, and we are thinking or using it, and my 2 questions are:
1) Can we use this other separate
SQL Server instance which is enterprise edition to host the create and hosts the DBs of PerformancePoint services and PowerPivot ?
2) My second question is the same: Can I create PerformancePoint services application in my SharePoint farm, But in the Database Server field, I fill up
the details of the other DB server ServerX\InstanceX which is the one that is SQL
enterprise edition ? Will this work ?
Any official Microsoft resources/links tell that it is possible to deploy SharePoint or its service applications on multiple DB-Servers and multiple SQL Instances?

Thank you Alex and Anil,
What are the ramifications of that?
I mean, Assuming that I have created such a farm where most of SarePoint DBs in Standard SQL instance while the PerformancePoint service application and others e.g. PowerPivot and reporting service are deployed and configured onto other Enterprise SQL instance.
Are there any recommendations or concerns that you would like to draw my attention to ?

• We have report developed with VS 2005, is it possible to deploy it to BOE?

If we use Crystal Report for Vistual Studio 2005 to develop the report, includes RPT file and the logic to get the data(c# code). Is it possible to deploy it to BOE server XI?
If we use Crystal Report XI to design the RPT file, is it possible to get the result set by calling .Net method included in a assembly?

BI scheduler can only schedule BI Publisher reports. You will have to convert the rpt files to bip report to use the scheduler.

• Is it possible to deploy two different EJBs in one single descriptor file?

Hi, I'm working with two EJBs I wanna deploy them in one single jar, so my question here is, is it possible to deploy two or more EJBs within the same xml descriptor file?, if so, could you please give me an example of it?, I'm working with Stateless session beans, thanks in advance.

You can have as many beans in an EJB deployment descriptor as you like - i think, i have not run into a limit yet...
<ejb-jar>
<enterprise-beans>
<session>

Session Bean ( Stateless )

<display-name>BEanOne</display-name>
etc...
</session>
<session>

Session Bean ( Stateless )

<display-name>BeanTwo</display-name>
etc...
</session>
</enterprise-beans>
</ejb-jar>
