We have report developed with VS 2005, is it possible to deploy it to BOE?

If we use Crystal Report for Vistual Studio 2005 to develop the report, includes RPT file and the logic to get the data(c# code). Is it possible to deploy it to BOE server XI?
If we use Crystal Report XI to design the RPT file, is it possible to get the result set by calling .Net method included in a assembly？

BI scheduler can only schedule BI Publisher reports. You will have to convert the rpt files to bip report to use the scheduler.

Deployment of a crystal report application with visual 2005

I am very new at .NET, and this is my first post to this forum.
I've created a report (example.rpt) with Crystal Reports 2008. Then I've installed "Crystal Report for visual .net 2005 component".
Then I've imported it in a vb.net project using its Crystal Report Application Template, complied it and succesfully tested it on my machine.
My next objective is to manage the deployment of my report on the end-user machine. Here started my problem.....
Following suggestions I found on the net, I tried to create a Setup Project to deploy my application including Crystal Report runtime components; the report is included in the project as an embedded resource. Apparently the setup project as been correctly builded; if I run it my machine everything is ok but on end-user machine it generated this error:
EventType clr20r3, P1 reportarts.exe, P2 1.0.0.0, P3 49feecfc, P4 reportarts, P5 1.0.0.0, P6 49feecfc, P7 e, P8 c6, P9 system.invalidoperationexception, P10 NIL.
I tried on different windows SP2 - SP3 machines, with .NET Framework 2.0 alredy installed but the error is the same.

I've created a report (example.rpt) with Crystal Reports 2008. Then I've installed "Crystal Report for visual .net 2005 component".
Is that meam you have developed the reports in CR 2008(Seperate product) and installed CR for VS2005 (CR 10.5) and using CR 2008 reports in CR 10.5 environment?
Would like to inform that CR 2008 and CR 10.5 which comes with VS2005 are completely different and if in case you are converting the CR 2008 reports to CR 10.5 then you need to be careful for deployment because the correct runtimes should be installed on the deployment system.
You can check the integrated CR with VS by opening VS environment and go to help - about - and check the CR version.
If you are using the VS 2005 CR 10.5 then click [here|http://resources.businessobjects.com/support/communityCS/FilesAndUpdates/cr_net_2005_mergemodules_mlb_x86.zip] to install latest merge modules.

FR Reports developed with Admin ID

Hi All,
The FR Reports developed using Planning connection with Admin User ID will have issues when a regular user ID tries to access report.... any id other than admin cannot see data at the top of Entity, Scenario, or Version.....IS it correct..........
Reports developd with essbase connection dont have these issues..
Is it correct....Do we need to develop reports using regular ID

Accessing B1 2007 through code developed with B1 2005

I've just tested a Data API application (.net linked through sapbobscom originally developed against B12005) against B12007 and it won't log in, with error -111 that it can't find SBO_Common. When I developed the application against 2005 I gained the impression from the documentation that it would still work with higher releases. Was I wrong, or is there something I need to do to upgrade the application, or should I look elsewhere for the explanation?

XL Reporter problem with SQL 2005

Hi,
We just migrated our SQL Server from 2000 to 2005. Everything seemed OK, until we tried to run XL Reporter addon. Our SQL 2005 is 64bit edition, and I heard the 64bit version has some problem with transferring data to Excel, for example.
has anybody had the some problem? How can we solve this?

Whilst doing the migration (and god knows how long this will take) I need to document the log file of all functions and changes made. The manual states that there is a PLG file created however, I can't seem to find it. I'm running the conversion one by one and not in batch mode. Can someone help me locating the PLG log file.

I have a problem with my report server

My problem is, i have a report and i put this report in the server with the rest, in my application that have, my application is based in j2ee i use oas, the rest of the report execute good with my application but only this report don´t work, the parameters are good and the result are "ip address not found" all are good but only this report don´t work good. I test this report with the report developer and work good. My application show 2 frames, the first frame show the printers and the button print and the second frame the report, the report don´t show, but the printers show and when i click the button print the report print in the printers good, i don´t understand why don´t show the report and why say me the ip address not found.

Thanks for your feed back. I could see Microsoft.ReportViewer.ProcessingObjectModel.dll to add as reference to my project. Actually I can open generated rdlc in designer, at run time I get error. I could not make out where is the exact mistake out of three
options flashed.

If I understand correctly, you want to pass distinct values to report parameter. In Reporting Service, there are only three methods for parameter's Available Values:
None
Specify values
Get values from a query
If we utilize the third option that get values from a dataset query, then the all available values are from the returns of the dataset. So if we want to pass distinct values from a dataset, we need to make the dataset returns distinct values. The following
sample is for your reference:
Select distinct field_name from table_name

With the iPhone, you can sync all iTunes content with only one computer. Trying to sync iTunes content with a second computer will result in iTunes erasing the content from the first computer.
