Is it possible to edit Simple Type enum imported with a model?

I have a Simple Type enum which has been created from a model. Is it possible for me to edit the list in Web Dynpro as the 'Add' / 'Edit' button are greyed out?

if you want to use your own values under the list create your own SVS and pass those values to the model

Unable to edit simple type

Hi ,
   I need to change the properties of the simple type that we have defined in the dictionary , We are using JDI .I have navigated to the dictionary --> rclick on the simple type --> selected EDIT --> Added the files to the activity --> now when i double click on the simple type and try to change the properties it is giving the following message :
         This simple type cannot be changed because the file xxx.xlf is read only .It is possible that the file has not been chacked out from DTR
    Any idea why i am getting this error .

Editing simple type for dropdownlist

I really need help!
I developed a web dynpro application with a dropdownlist, which I connected with a (simple type) field in the local dictionary.
In my Portal I enabled companies and in the field ume.tpd.companies, there are 2 values (companyA and companyB).
I can get the values of these two values (com.sap.security.api.util.IUMParameters params = UMFactory.getProperties();
params.get("ume.tpd.companies");
Now my problem:
How can I display these two values in my dropdownlist?
Can anyone give me a code example how to "connect" the values from the ume with die data dictionary element from
which my dropdownlist gets its values?

Webdypro simple types are vanished with model reimport

Hi All,
My webdynpro project consists of user defined simple types and models(SAP ABAP). when i re-import model ( which already exists in project ) , all the simple types in my project are deleted and all my context mapping to particular simple types are showing compile time errors. I have to recreate all simple types and do context mapping again.
Any one can help me how can i solve this problem.

Before re-import the model you have to preserve existing model biding in controller contexts. There are two things you should take care about.
1. In controller contexts all metamodel entity files should be deleted.
2. non-model-specific files should be readonly.

Is it possible to make this type of network with router i have?

I have Linksys WRT54GC router at home and i share internet to all my PCs through the router.
Is it possible to share internet firstly through my PC, and then through this router to all other pcs? If it is possible how i should configure my router? If not - do i have to buy some kind of switch to make this type of network?
Example scheme:

I have now this configuration of my PC's and router, but internet on PC2 is not working, but PC2 and router see each other. But ping between PC1 and router (192.168.0.1 192.168.0.2) says "no response":

It is not clear to me what the exact problem is. The screenshots show that everything is correct. The second PC should have internet with this setup. PC1 won't be able to ping the router on 192.168.0.2 if you block ICMP (anonymous WAN requests) on the router. That setting should be on the Security tab.
I would suggest to set up the WRT as simple wireless access point. That way you still have full LAN connectivity between all your computers. To do that, you have to temporarily wire a computer to a LAN port of the router. Unplug the gateway computer from the router! There is only a single computer connected to the WRT at the moment.
Open http://10.10.10.1/ or whatever LAN IP address you have set on the WRT at the moment. On the Setup tab, change the internet connection type to "Automatic/DHCP", change the LAN IP address from 10.10.10.1 to 192.168.0.2, disable the DHCP server. Now press the save settings button. You'll loose the connection to the router. That's OK.
Now rewire the router. Connect a LAN port of the router to the gateway computer. Do not use the internet port on the WRT! That is the basic setup.
Now wired computers connected to the remaining 3 LAN ports on the WRT should have LAN and internet access. In the same way, wireless clients connect into the ICS LAN and have internet.

Is it possible to edit spoken dialog without interfering with the rest of the sound?

I'm trying to piece together video clips from various movies, and in one of these clips the character swears strongly a couple times. Normally, I don't bother with this, but my audience is that of a "clean" nature and is strongly against profanity. Is there a way to briefly mute, or change the character's voice when he cusses and not interfere with the rest of the sound? Or is this asking too much?
Also, I looked in the "help" section and couldn't find anything to help me with this. But I have a bunch more questions. Where do I go that will explain all the features of Premiere Elements 8, without forcing me to spend hours figuring it all out and/or posting a billion discussions here in the forums and bugging all of you with my lack of knowledge?

What you are attempting to do requires a bit of work and then some luck.
It sounds as though you have an Audio Clip with both background noise and possibly music, plus dialog. You wish to remove just the dialog in a particular spot, or spots. Is that correct?
If so, then in an Audio editing program, like Adobe Audition, you can possibly extract the ambient sound/music with a Karaoke Effect, or with the application of EQ. This will yield a separate file with hopefully just the background and music, and no dialog. In a Multi-Track Session, place both files on a separate Track. Find the point where you wish to remove the dialog. Here, the workflow might differ, but I'd Cut out the dialog at that point, leaving only the Karaoke Track. To clean things up, when I had done this for each offensive passage, I would go to the Karaoke Track and do just the opposite - Cut out all that was NOT underlying the offensive passages, but leave a bit of that Track before and beyond the deleted dialog. Then, I'd add a Cross-Dissolve for Constant Power to those Karaoke segments to "ramp" the Karaoke Track into the mix, as it will never be perfect, and one wants as smooth a transition, as is possible.
Now, one can do this in other audio editing programs, that offer Multi-Track editing, and also VST plug-ins, or install with Effects like Karaoke and/or Parametric or Graphic EQ's. You could explore the great, free audio-editor, Audacity, and Google for VST's that will enhance its capabilities. Be sure to read the Help files on Audacity, as one does need to do a few things in setup to allow the addition of more VST's.
The work will be with the Karaoke (or similar) Effect, its result and also the frequency ranges of the speaker. That is where the "luck" comes in. Much human speech can be EQ'ed out, or at least greatly attenuated. Now, if you have a crowd talking in the background, or similar, and wish to retain that, all bets are off.
Also, if you only have ambient sounds, and no music, behind the speaker, just find segments of that ambient sound, where the speaker is not talking, and use that to "patch" where you cut out the dialog.

Is possible to maintain MRP type as PD with re-order point?

my user maintain material master of one raw material like this
MRP type : PD
Safety Stock : 1000
Lot Size : MB
Minimum Lot size : 3000
as they maintain safety stock 1000 , this will last long for 10 days and this material's lead time in purchasing for 12-15 day.
When they run for MRP and check in MD04. they give me requirement like this.
"when i run MRP, I want system to create PR when this material's stock fall under 3000"
So i suggest they to change from PD to VB for use re-order point . but they not agree with my suggest because they want to see dependent requirement list when check in MD04 and their reason is...
"My material usage can't predictable so i can't forecast"
when i suggest them to add re-order point to safety stock. as alway, they disagree.
so i think, is it possible to use PD or other type of MRP that show list of dependent requirement with able to use re-order point? if it's possible, How?
any suggestion is fine. point for useful answer

If your user is willing to have requirement below 3000 then you should ask him to keep Safety stock as 3000 only & not 1000 because there is no meaning in keeping it 1000.You keep safety stock 3000 so as soon as stock is falling below 3000 system will generate procurement element ( requirement) in next MRP run.So even there is no need to maintain reorder point planning VB as MRP type as your user is not willing for it.
Else you can maintain VB and reorder point as 3000 which will also furnish you the same result.In that case safety stock has not much significance.However if you maintain safety stock more than or equal to reorder point then it will serve your purpose.There is no meaning putting it below reorder point.

i have a nikon d5300 and only nikon 10-24F3,5 and 50 mmF1,8

PS Touch has support for RAW *but* it's pretty much limited to import *and* they have to be uploaded to Creative Cloud and imported into PS Touch that way.
Again, there aren't any RAW support/features beyond import, so no adjustments like exposure, highlights, shadows, that kind of thing.

Integer Validation Simple Type

we have requirement that the value entered should be with in the range 0 to 9999
For this in webdynpro for java i tried to create a simple type of integer with minimum inclusive as 0 and maximum inclusive as 9999
but if we give say 99999 it gives valid message -- Value 99999 must be smaller than MaxExclusive 9999
if we give 23423423423423423423 it gives the java message integer range should be with in this range -2147483648 and +21...)
if we give decimal values it gives the same java message integer range should be with in this range
2147483648 and +21...)
For me
i should always be able to get this message Value 99999 must be smaller than MaxExclusive 9999 or
Value -1 must be greater than or the same as Minclusive 0
irrespective of the input
is there any way that i can have this kind of message
to conclude what ever the input i give it should give me message value should be with in the range 0 to 9999
could some one please help in this tricky requirement

Saleem, the user is entering a numeric value, question is which data type it is, int/float/long/double

Value 1.1 is not an integer value or a long value. The data type is float.
when you converted it in a string, look for the indexof(.), and check the value of string after (.), it should not be greater than 0. If it is, the entered number is not an integer.
so it goes like this
string a = substring( string after " ." ) ;
int i = int value of a ;
if ( i > 0 ) "please enter an integer value " ;
else{ conver to lang and do remaining process }

NW 7.40: Cannot edit CAF simple type

Hi,
I've a CAF simple type "ApproverType".
In the past I was always able to change enumeration values etc. for the created simple types.
For the complex types this is still possible.
But since we moved to NWDI it appears as non-editable in NWDS (before the lock symbol was not there):
I've found a file called "ApproverType.java" in the CAF EJB package.
But if I add the new enumeration there, the file always gets overwritten when I regenerate the CAF DC.
How can I edit the enumeration values for that simple type?

I've created a copy of "ApproverType":
There I've added the missing enumeration.
But personally I don't like this solution...
The strange thing is that the new type remains editable, whereas the old simple types are all non-editable.
Additionally all complex structures can still be edited.
I don't get this.

I want to copy some text from the TLF, by copy operation. I am getting this type of Error.

In the previous build, i dont use to get this type of error, but in this nightly builds i am getting this type of error.

This functionality is still available, but it has moved. It's now in a TextClipboard class, in the same flashx.textLayout.edit package. So you should replace calls to getClipboardFormat() with TextClipboard.getContents().

Composite key field is not a simple type or enum

According to the docs here - http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/berkeley-db/je/java/index.html?com/sleepycat/persist/model/PrimaryKey.html - you can use "A composite key class containing one or more simple type or enum fields" as a key field. When we try that we get "java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Composite key field is not a simple type or enum: Result$Key.recordId". Am I misreading the docs?

You're nesting one key class inside another. All fields of a key class must be simple types or enums, which is what the exception message is trying to say. If you want all those fields in your key class, you'll have to include them in a single flattened class.
Neither nesting of key classes nor inheritance of key classes is supported. We have enhancements filed to support these in the future, but no concrete plans.

You can't use Contribute to edit this type of file

I've updated a few pages from a website, so they're just
variations of pages that used to work with Contribute. Now I'm
getting a message--on some of them--that "you can't used Contribute
to edit this type of file." These are html files with the extension
htm. They contain tables. They are based on templates. They don't
seem to have any other distinguishing properties. Exactly what kind
of files don't work? What might I be doing wrong? I teach this at a

Ancient thread, but if anyone else is googling this phrase I thought I might respond with a possible answer. I encountered the same error but could not find anything wrong with the page in question. Turned out the page getting the error message was fine! The issue was actually with a simple typo on the page that linked to that page--it was missing the extension (e.g., linking to "page2" instead of "page2.php". The web server (and Contribute's browser) were pulling up the page even though the extension was missing but Contribute didn't know what kind of file it was so it refused to allow editing.

Is it possible to map a Map(enum, List<String>) in JPA2? Or do I have to create a separate Entity class that maps each List<String> collections for each possible value in the enum?

No, JPA does not support this or any nested collection type of mappings directly.
The best solution is to create an Entity or Embeddable to contain the collection data.
