Is it possible to move items betwen regions using personalizations?

Hi,
1. Can I create new item using personalization and refer to the item in the another region (for example there are 2 regions in my page R1 and R2, R1 has fields a,b,c and R2 has salary,empno,deptno , so can I create a field FFF in R1 and refer to deptno in R2.Suppose you have a 2 region like R1 & R2.
R1 contains three MessageTextInput Box. (eg a,b,c)
R2 contains three MessageTextInput Box. (eg x,y,z)
Then you can create a new item in any region & its will only impact your UI. (i.e. It will be displayed under the region where you have created it.)
2. if answer to above question is yes, then if user changes the value in deptno, will this get updated in the apps.The data in the new field won't update the automatically unless & untill, you attach EO based VO to the newly created item.

How to Add Table Regions using Personalization

I'm trying to add a new table region in a seeded page (SIT page) using personalization.
The new table that I will be adding will have some information to the users. This table is just for informational purposes. We want to display this information in the form of a table only. No compromises on this !!
When I try to personalize this page it gives me options to add new items like (messages, links etc) only but it does not let me add new regions.
The personalization guides talks about an option called "Add content to a
layout region" which sounds like what I want but it also says this option is available only for "Configurable Page". I believe the page i am trying to personalize is not a configurable page and hence i am not getting this option.
Can anyone who has been in a similar situation and probably have some resolution throw some insight into this ? Are there any good workarounds for this ?

Make sure that you are adding it at the Site level. Stack Region might not be available at Function/Responsibility level.
If that does not work, develop a StackRegion inside of JDeveloper. Then, add a flexibleContent and flexibleLayout region using Personalizations. Inside of that Personalization, there is an Extends property where you will tell it to use your custom StackLayout Region created in Jdeveloper similar to this:
<custom_app>.oracle.apps.per.selfservice.CustomRN

I have just updated from os X 10.6.8 to 10.8.3 (working on a Macbook Pro 15" from 2011)
The first issue I'm having is that I don't seem to be able to move items on my desktop or in my finder windows.
What happens is this (on the desktop): I click on an item, it is highlighted, I can then drag it to another place, but it doesn't release from the tip of my mouse-arrow, so it's impossible to 'drop' it to its new place on the desktop. The same happens when I try to move items in my finder from one location to the next: on clicking on the item (i.e. a word-doc) it is highlighted. If I then keep the mousebutton down to drag the item to another place and release, the item doesn't release...
HELP?!

Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

To move an event from one calendar to another, simply follow the steps below.
Move an event to any of your calendars.
Note: If you move an event from a calendar that’s not hosted on an Exchange server to a calendar that is, some event information may be saved in the Note field because some options aren’t available in Exchange calendars.
Do one of the following:
Double-click the event, then choose a calendar from the pop-up menu in the top-right corner.
Drag the event to a new calendar in the Calendar list.
Select one or more events. Control-click one of the events, choose Calendar, then choose a calendar.
To move a copy of an event, select the event, then choose Edit > Copy. Select the calendar where you want the event, then choose Edit > Paste.

Re-using a seeded region using personalization or extension(EAM)

Hi Gurus,
I have a requirement to add certain additional fields in the 'Work Request Creation' screen.Now,the items needed are same as available in the 'Work Order Creation Screen'.
Now,i was wondering if just replicating the same structure through personalization would work,but it dint:-0.Since i even i gave the same am and controller names,and i got a null pointer:-(
I am wondering if there is any way to reuse the existing region somehow,or else i will have to create a custom table to store the data for 'work request' and then go bout doing a lot of extension and substituion.
Please suggest.

I am stuck with a major issue now regarding the same.
Instead of going for a new am,i have added the custom table to the extended VO(using join) .the VO is not EO based so i use a pl/sql to commit my data.
But,i need a 'WR number' in the custom table which comes from the seeded region.The problem here is tht the number is only generated on the click of 'apply'.
i captured the event and called my custom pl/sql in the extended controller.The sad thing is that on click of apply,the wr number is generated but a re-direction happens.
Due to this,my code written after the super call is not at all executed;-(
And since the WR number which i need is only generated after clicking the apply,there is no point in writing my code before super,cos i wont get the WR number in that case.
I am not sure how to go about it,though i am plannin to override the base class as a last resort.
Any suggestions for the same

I am trying to move an itunes song list to either windows doc or photo studio 2000 so I can edit list by adding extra songs that there is not room for on reg itunes print out. I figured out that I can copy and paste the album covers that appear in the "now showing" window and place on desktop.I then go into my label maker and get new image from desktop. I use them on my cd's..as far as copying list to another program I haven't figured that one out yet!!

Is it possible to include items and portlets in an unstructured UI template. The solution which we are working on requires to have the following dynamic entities as part of the unstructured UI template
- Page Path
- Basic Search (item)
- People Search (portlet)
- Current Date (we could achieve this by using <oracle>select sysdate from dual</oracle> in the html code... however, the date appears with a different background color)
We are working on Oracle 10g AS 9.0.4.

1. I see where I have a free site to promote web hosting, of which I selected the site name as NewtonBridgeAdv.... Will this site allow me to fully integrate it into the web with my design, e-commerce, email marketing, as this site NewtonBridgeAdv.com? I currently have NewtonBridgeAdv listed on http://www.thruadoor.com/advertising-agency.html but would like to move it to a more complete site.
2. I see where SuperSupportTeam.com is expiring on 14, June 2014. This site was cancelled as WebMarketing a few weeks ago (but still current with the payment) and is now set up as one of the five basic sites. The payment was not refunded for this months web marketing so maybe this is what it is referring to. I don't know. I wanted the credit applied to an upgrade to E-Commercee on thruAdoor.com. However, I was not granted the refund.
3. I thought I had viewed a sales commission on the Portal credited to the current site hosting, but now the account is empty. How do I warrant a commission for any sites that I may host on BC?
4. I may not understand what some of the BC team members have said about my current site thruAdoor.com in that it is not set up properly or not linked properly with BC. I don't know what they are talking about. Can you help?

HT1751 Question: Is it possible to move just part of my iTunes content (i.e. TV shows) to an external harddrive, keeping the rest of the content in place? Several seasons of TV shows are taking up 102 GB of space, and I'm completely out of space on my HD

Is it possible to move just part of my iTunes content (i.e., only TV shows), keeping the rest of the Library in place? I have purchased several seasons of some TV shows, which take up 102 GB on my harddrive, inside my iTunes Media Folder. I don't want to move my entire Library of music and apps etc to the external harddrive (HD), but I rarely watch the TV shows, so wouldn't mind them being located on an external HD, which I would plug in before trying to watch the shows through iTunes?

I don't think you can simultaneously have two libraries open. But you can have your media spread across multiple disk drives. Just change your iTunes preferences such that the option "Copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library" is not selected. That way, new items can remain on your external drive if that's where you add them from.
The only caution is if you ever add items to your library from some "temporary" location, such as a USB drive. With these preference changes, iTunes would keep the native file on the USB drive, which would possibly lead to you deleting the file and losing the link. So, when you have your preferences to allow you to add new items to iTunes without copying them to the iTunes Music folder, you would want to put the native files in the desired location first, then add to iTunes.
To move existing videos and podcasts to the external drive, you can either do that as you have been (moving the native files and correcting the ! warning), or simply delete them from the library (but keep the native files) then re-add them from their new location on the external drive (you'd lose play history and ratings though, but may not be an issue for videos and podcasts).

Hi Anoo,
The layout of items on your page depends on the region template used, and also the attributes of the item e.g. the Horizontal/Vertical Alignment of the Element and Label; the value of ColSpan, RowSpan, etc. By making some small tweaks to your existing region template or item attributes, you can achieve the desired layout. For example, lets say you're working with the "Form Region" HTML region. You can easily modify this template to display the standard cells of the table to the right instead of left, by changing the alignment in the <td> tags, using align="right". This will result in all items being positioned to the right of a region using this template.

Possible to move boot display to different DVI port? (GTX780)

I doubt this is possible, but just in case : is it possible to force boot screens to a different port on the video card?
The MSI GTX780 has two DVI ports - one DVI-I (which includes analog display) and DVI-D (which does not). The DVI-I port displays the boot screen, BIOS, and anything that shows before Windows is fully loaded.
I currently have two monitors. My primary monitor can connect via DVI, and since it is a 120HZ monitor, it currently uses a dual link cable. The secondary monitor is older and cannot connect via DVI, so I use a DVI-I-to-VGA adapter and a standard VGA cable for that display. Unfortunately, this means that the secondary monitor shows boot/BIOS/etc.
Is it possible to move the boot display to the DVI-D port on the card?
Please note that this is not a big issue - having the secondary monitor show boot info is a minor annoyance at worst. The secondary monitor also has HDMI-in, so I can buy a cable and use that, and then move the primary monitor to the DVI-I port. I do want to avoid spending more money, but mostly, I want to see if it is possible to force the boot screens to another port. This seems like it might be a very interesting way to learn about the video card (and VBIOS, if changing that is necessary to do this).

Can u pls help me out to implement this(I m using Netbeans 5.5):
I want to move items from one JList to other thru a ADD button placed between JLists, I am able to add element on Right side JList but as soon as compiler encounter removeElementAt() it throws Array Index Out of Bound Exception
and if I use
removeElement() it removes all items from left side JList and returns value false.

How can I move items from my Nano to my computer?

I hate the new iTunes. It used to show what my iPod Nano Gen 6 had in the library and I could easily move items in and out, but now all I can do is add items to the iPod, but not remove.
