Is it possible to open 32bit photoshop with CS5 on a PC?
Im trying to import video into photoshop in order to make a cinemagraph and need to open it in 32 bit mode but cannot find the option to switch over from 64 bit mode. Is it only a mac thing?
In Windows, Photoshop is installed with a 32 bit exe under Program Files (x86) and a 64 bit exe under Program Files.
So you simply locate and use Photoshop.exe under Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5\
Make a desktop shortcut to it if you will use it often.

When I try to open a file with Thunderbird (html or any type) it is just attached to a message.

Can't open print settings with CS5 and Epson R1900
In Photoshop CS5, go to File > Print. In the Print dialogue window, click on Print Settings... and no response. The blue Print button in the lower right corner flashes when I click, but nothing else happens.
I've tried running Photoshop in 32-bit mode as well. Doesn't behave differently.
Running on a Mac Pro 2.26 GHz (most current generation).
12 GB RAM
OS 10.6.4
Printer is connected to Airport Extreme USB (most current generation).
Can successfully print with CS4; seems to be a new issue with CS5.
Hope I've included enough info to troubleshoot this problem.

Brian,.I've been trying to trouble shoot this problem since the beginning of September. I wasn't sure if it was a snow leopard issue, a Driver issue, or a CS5 issue. I guess it's CS5. I recently discovered the work around of asking Photoshop to manage the colors, opening the print settings, saving, then returning to printer managing colors but this just doesn't cut it in our graphics lab. We need the settings to be as straight forward as possible for our students.
Also, unrelated sort of, Photoshop remembers the settings from the previous print job. Which again doesn't work well in a lab/public environment. So if jimmy printed 20 copies of a file and set it to print colors as gray; Susie, the next in line, would have the same print settings for her file. This seems to only happen with photoshop. Not Preview, not safari, nor any other program.
We're seriously considering moving back to CS4.
...at least that had contact sheets. -
Why does the same pdf sometimes open in Photoshop with a white bkgd and sometimes transparent?
I am opening the same pdf file on two different computers with the same version of photoshop. Why does it open with a transparent background on one computer and a white background on the other? Is there any way to force it to open with a transparent background? Thanks.
LoniYou have different versions of the shared PDF libraries on the different systems and/or different settings on PDF handling, most likely. This can affect transparency. The PDF libraries are shared between Adobe apps, so this may be dependent on anotehr program having changed something in that area...

Is it possible to open synchronized pdf with other reader than iBooks?
Hi all,
I just bought and ipod and it seems to be nice little thingy I have troubles with understanding whole logic behind how apps and files work.
In iTunes I added few pdfs and synchronized them to my ipod. I got a warning that I have not installed iBooks and won't be able to read those files so I downloaded iBooks app and synchronized it as well. all good and dandy but to be honest iBooks is not very good with pdfs at least not for me so I downloaded a few more readers like adobe for example thinking they will allow me to have better reading experience.
and here we have a surprise: my pdfs are not accessible from other reader than iBooks, I can't browse filesystem to get to them, iBooks have no "Open in..." option (which would work in case of adobe reader). I have no previous experience with apple products so maybe I am missing something basic and just showing up my ignorance but if somebody could hint me how can I make my synchronized pdfs accessible with some other app not only with iBooks I would be really grateful.Latest Adobe Reader version has a feature wherein it can open the PDF from the page where you last used it.

64bit lightroom3 opens 32bit photoshop when "edit in"
Hi,
I have both 32bit and 64bit versions of Photoshop on my machine, simply because some of my plugins still only work in 32bit mode.
The problem is that Lightroom 3 (running 64bit) defaults to the 32bit version of Photoshop when I choose 'edit in Photoshop' for an image.
How can this be rectified ??

Is it possible to open eps files with Keynote?
I have some eps Clipart files that I have been trying to edit so I can use the individual clipart images instead of having to crop a jpef or tiff copy of the original file.
However, I can't seem to open the eps version of the file in any of the applications I have, which makes the files almost impossible to use...
Is there any way of actually opening the eps files with Keynote, or does anyone know of a program or app that I can open these with?

Difficulties Opening JPG files with CS5
I am using win 7 and CS5. I have both JPG and RAW files; however all of a sudden when I attempt to open some JPG files, they somehow are vertically truncated only opening halfh the picture. Does anyone hhhhknow what the problem is?
Is the part of the image still intact at the top or the left of the screen? If the top, it sounds like those JPGs might be corrupted. That would be especially true if there are patterns under the good part of the image like this

File saved as .5 file type with CS5, How to Open in CS5
I've been working on a certificate and i saved it without looking at the file type. For some reason it set the file type to (.5). What is that? Is there any way I can open it again in CS5? Is there a file converter I could use. I just need to basically open the file agian in CS5 so I can continue to edit the certificate. I have tried opening the file with CS5 and CS6 and I get this message:
"Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document."

Hi, now I practicing making web pages where I put sample codes in one directory and I copy them to edit.
The probrem is, I couldn't open one file while I'm opening another file with the same name.
Is it possible to open a file with the same name in Dreamweaver?That could be a very error prone practice.
May I suggest you take advantage of DW "Snippets" feature instead.
Simply save any blocks of code you will reuse regularly as snippets,
and give each one a descriptive name you like.
Then you can simply place your cursor in code view where you wish the code,
and click insert on the selected item from the snippet panel. -

workspace in flash during run time and work on it? While i work on
