Is it possible to print annotations and/or bookmarks?

I've just started using Digital Editions. Wondering if it's possible to print my annotations and bookmarks?
Especially important for my son, who in high school English is required to highlight and annotate novels (they require at least one note on EACH PAGE!). We'd really like him be able to do this digitally and print out his work!

ADE won't print out the annotations, however all the notes are kept in the Annotations folder under your digital editions folder and each book has it's own .annot file. These .annot files are a fairly simple XML file. I've created a sample .php web page that will spit out all of the notes text for a .annot file in a simple HTML file put it up on my personal web site at: http://www.lesterfamily.org/ade/annots.html (front end, the actual .php is at http://www.lesterfamily.org/ade/upload.php - also Nothing gets saved on my server and am not really paying attention to hits, that'd be too much work ). However just about any XML formatter tool will do however if you don't want to use mine.

Is it possible to print JTable and custom JPanel on the same page?

Hello everybody!
I have a custom panel extending JPanel and implementing Printable.
I am using paint() method to draw some graphics on it's content pane. I would like to print it, but first I would like to add a JTable at the bottom of my panel. Printing just the panel goes well. No problems with that.
I was also able to add a JTable to the bottom of JFrame, which contains my panel.
But how can I print those two components on one page?

I've managed to get this to work, by calling 2 methods inside the outer frame's print method (lines 78 and 79)
Those two methods are:
rp.paint(g2D);
reportTable.paint(g2D);but still it is not the way I would like it to be.
First of all both the ReportPanel and ReportTable graphics are printed with the upper-left corner located in the upper-left corner of the JFrame and the first one is covering the second.
Secondly, I would like to rather implemet the robust JTable's print method somehow, because it has some neat features like multipage printing, headers & footers. But I have no idea how to add my own graphics to the JTables print method, so they will appear above the JTable. Maybe someone knows the answer?

I was googling nearly all day in search of an answer, but with no success. I don't think it's possible to print JTable using it's print() method together with other components, so I will have to think of something else i guess...

Possible to sync Safari and Firefox bookmarks?

I mostly use Safari but occasionally am required to use Firefox. While I know it's possible to export my bookmarks from Safari into Firefox, is there any way to keep them automatically in sync?

Actually I just solved my own problem--the Foxmarks plugin for Firefox was upgraded recently to sync with Internet Explorer and Safari as well.

I'm using SSF_OPEN and SSF_CLOSE, to print multiple smartforms. In between SSF_OPEN and SSF_CLOSE, there is a loop at a smartform. The output prints each smartform in different pages. Is it possible to print the second smartform in the first page since there is still space for printing there?

Hi Jack,
As per my knowledge,
you can't print two smartform in single page because smart form having own page-size.
If your layout page is A4 size then first layout print in A4 page and next layout will be go-to next print page. but if you have different kind of page size for both layout then you can control from printer side then that case both page will be printed in single print page.

How can I/Is it possible to silently print a PDF with specific print settings and obtaining the resulting job id (in windows at least)?

I have a specific application for Windows I'm developing where I need to silently print a PDF to a real printer. The trick is I need to set specific printing preferences ... such as color/monochrome, # of copies, page size / source tray, etc. The printer is always set to spool documents, and it is key that I know the job id (even if its already done printing) of the resulting print job.
With windows APIs mixed in, I would imagine something like ...
OpenPrinter(printername)
StartDocPrinter(...)
-----> some SDK call to print the document based on the handles I pass it...or perhaps one page at a time after I call StartPagePrinter()
EndDocPrinter(...)
ClosePrinter()
I've been searching for something for days that would give me this sort of control, but I've been finding the documentation very difficult to find on silently printing a PDF through any means other than a command line which doesn't appear to give me the information or control I need.
Is this possible with the Adobe SDK?
I've seen other posts accomplish this by changing the printing defaults for the printer, and then sending the job silently with a commandline. This has two problems for me: 1) I still don't know the Job ID of the print job, and 2) I can't rely on the idea that other unrelated print jobs will not be sent while I'm processing the PDF ... making it difficult to use defaults as a means of controlling the settings without causing a lot of side effects.
Even just a point in the right direction would be a huge help for how I could accomplish this.

Yes, you can print the response in a PDF by following the steps suggested below.
1) Go to the response file
2) Select the response you want to print
3) Click on Save as PDF button and it would save the selected response in PDF format.

HP Photo Creations offers several ways to print multiple photos on a page. Here's a link to some preset grids. If you don't have HP Photo Creations already, you'll be prompted to download the software. (It's a free download.)
You could also start with a "Design Your Own" collage print with a white theme.
This video shows some ways to print multiple photos in HP Photo Creations to make them easier to cut out:

GoLive wirste wohl gar nicht zum laufen kriegen. ohnehin würde man es nicht mehr verwenden, weil es noch nicht mal CSS2 voll unterstützt geschweige denn HTML 5 und andere moderne Webstandards. Wenn überhaupt, dann findeste vielleicht noch 'ne OEM CD von Strato oder 1und1 bei eBay. Die haben das damals mit jedem neuen Hostingvertrag rausgehauen. Aber wie gesagt, es ist den Aufwand nicht wert. Illustrator sollte sich durchaus installieren lassen. Eventuell einfach nochmal die Installer im Win XP Kompatibilitätsmodus laufen lassen...

You will need to use a 3rd party image editor, Preview or a watermarking application. 3rd party editors can be configured to work from inside iPhoto as can Preview. Preview can add text via its Annotation capability and is alread on your Mac.

Print, Export and Page Navigation Buttons in the Report

When I view a report through CR4E, the generated report has 3 buttons namely Print, Export and Page Navigation buttons. But when I click on either of the buttons I get a 'null pointer exception'. This is a critical error as I am unable to navigate past the first page. Do I have to add code to these buttons? If not, why am I getting an error? Kindly solve my problem as soon as possible.

Looking at your code it appears that you are storing the ReportSource in session prior to passing in the ResultSet. This will create a problem when a postback is made on the viewer page (which all of the viewer actions do). If you look at the sample code which is generated when you use the JSP Page Wizard you will notice that the ResultSet is passed to the ReportClientDocument object prior to it being stored in session. Then, when the page is called again this object is retrieved and the ReportSource is used by the viewer. You can quickly run the test using one of our sample reports to see what I am talking about. Is it possible to print from Windows 8.1 to a printer connected to the USB port on an Airport Express?
a) HP printer with USB port only (no ethernet port) connected to Airport Express
b) No issue printing from Macs
Tests
1) Installed Bonjour 2 - does not find printer (now uninstalled)
2) Bonjour 3 is listed in programs but no way to access
3) Using TCPIP address (and no Bonjour) gives 'Unsupported Personality' error when printing test page

This is possible, but not with Bonjour or any other fixes. It is just a printer set up based on the Port name of the Airport, 10.0.1.1.
