Is it possible to save document selection as Channel mask-?

Hi Everyone:
Is this possible to script.
1. save document selection as Channel mask…?
2. how do we get selection from layermask..?

If you mean a Channel:
app.activeDocument.selection.store(app.activeDocument.channels.add())
ad 2)
if the Layer is selected this should load the Layer Mask as a Selection:
