Is it possible to send and receive a package on the same PC?

I have a PC with two Ethernet connections. I want to send a package from one through a switch an back to the other connection. Normally it takes the fastest way - internally on the PC.
The thing I want to test is the switch and the connection on the switch. I have considered using the ping command.
How can I be sure that the package takes the LONG way?
Is it possible to do that in LabVIEW?
How is it done?
Please help me - I have no control over XP

The best way is to do a traceroute to a device you know is on the distant port. ("tracert" command from the DOS prompt) This will give you information on all the nodes along the way. Incidentally, from Windows 2000 and later, you can actually assign multiple IP addresses to a single Ethernet card...although I'm not exactly sure why you would want to do that. Anyway, traceroute is what you'd want to use.

The above symptoms just started a few days ago. I have not changed any software (I have very little installed, and no extra communications software). This has been going on for about 1 week. Battery only lasts 3/4 of a day because it appears that the phone is sending and receiving all the time.

How to populate the Sender and Receiver GLN/ID in the Seeburger Message Tracking

HI Team,
Scenario :
ECC--> PI--> Party
Sending GS1 XML Message to party (Not EDI). Sender Party and Receiver Party appearing as expected.
BUT User expecting to see the Sender GLN and Receiver GLN in Seeburger Message Tracking.
It should be dynamically picked form GS1 Message. Should Appear in RED BOXES Shown below.What Module Parameters Should be used for this.
I have Tried destTargetMsg and destSourceMsg. But did'nt work.

You are correct. For XML to XML, you do not need BIC module.
However, since you are not using BIC module, you will not be able to enrich the metadata using the archiveXI parameter during processing at the adapter framework.
Another place to enrich the metadata would be during message mapping. You can call a custom UDF to populate the metadata and create an entry in Seeburger Message Tracking.
Please refer to the Seeburger manual for Message Tracking Function for more details on how to create the UDF.

Is it possible to store and retrieve request variables from the same page?

I can't seem to get this to work.
In the page constructor to retrieve the variable on reload of the page:
String myReqValue = (String) getValue("#{requestScope.name}");
and in public void beforeRenderResponse() {}
setValue("#{requestScope.name}", some_var);
Of course in th page constructor I check that its not null to know if its the first load of the page.

IPhone 6 freezes while texting and receiving a text at the same time

Whenever I am texting someone on my new iPhone 6, if I get a notification (generally a different text message from someone else or sometimes any other notification) the whole phone lags for about 4 seconds and I have to wait for it to un-freeze.
Is anyone else having this issue? Anyone know how to fix it?

I have this same problem. I have attempted all the suggestions:
     - Turn off imessaging
     - Reset the network
     - factory reset
It is starting to become REALLY irritating. I love my new 6 plus, but the texting issue is giving me a fit. Please Help!

Does Tiger need Fax software to send and receive faxes?

I need an inexpensive way to receive faxes. I will be buying a usb modem, likely the Apple modem. Do I need to also purchase fax software or does Tiger make it possible to send and receive faxes?

I found out from another query that yes I can send and receive faxes by going to the Print/Fax icon in System Preferences.

Yes/No. There are internet options, companies/programs that like internet phone dialers allow you to send faxes over the internet that end up calling actual phones. Most (if not all) charge a fee for this.
As for bluetooth/cellphone, you're better off sticking with internet options. You could use bluetooth if you had a bluetooth device setup to receive and convert but I'm not sure such advices exist and even if they did I'm not sure the value of them. It would be like sending from your laptop while standing next to a fax machine. Cell phones are possible if your phone allows connection via modem which only a handful do. Given a cellphone with modem support and an apple modem, its possible.

Tablet added, own phone number - can you send and receive text msgs ?

I got the G Pad 8.3" let tablet and it was added as an extra line, so it was given a phone number. Was wondering, since it does have it's own phone number, is it possible to send and receive texts on it using the phone number provided ? I tried just sending a text to that number, but the tablet never received it. Since it does have it's own phone number tho, is there anyway to do this ?

That is a very interesting question! While it does have its own phone number, texting & voice calls can not be enabled for tablet devices. You can, however, use apps like Verizon Messages to send texts back & forth using the phone number for any one of your regular phone lines. There are also 3rd party apps that will give you the ability to text using thier data enabled texts. View your app options in your Google Play store.

Sender and receiver list in Controlling

When I am trying the tcode kosrlist_or with std. variant 'SAP&01' , the system is unable to display sender and receiver list for all the orders in all the times. Every order has been assigned with settlement rule. So, What could be the reason for not displaying the senders n receivers in all the instances?

It seems like you can not convince XI to pick up a new message. The code below works when you use "inputModuleData.setPrincipalData(msg);" but not with "inputModuleData.setPrincipalData(msgnew);".
The error in the Runtime Workbench is: "Catching exception calling messaging system' found, cause: javax.transaction.InvalidTransactionException: Cannot invoke call from within a transactional context.".
I tried to set the RefToMessageId on the new message, but this does not work either.
Does anybody know why the InvalidTransactionException is thrown?

Computer to router constantly sending and receiving packets

I have two separate computers, one wireless and one connected direct to my router. One running XP home and the other running XP pro, both will all current updates. Both computers running ZoneAlarm Pro firewall and Kaspersky antivirus and should be virus free. Both computers are constantly sending and receiving several packets to the router every second (even with internet unplugged, this is just computer to router traffic). It is svchost.exe that is doing the work. It is TCP traffic with around 200-7000 bytes of data. Sometimes when redoing the connection (power down router, unplug cable, ect…) it will quit doing it. I had the same issue with my past USRobotics router. What could be causing this? It is interfering with my ability to monitor my internet bandwidth speed and usage.

Since no one has any idea, I did some things on my own. The first thing I did was to use my computers firewall to block the destination port to each router (they were both different). The second thing I did was to update my linksys router firmware with DD-WRT. That seems to have solved it for good, as I have disabled the the firewall blocks and all is good. Freeware hacks rule.

My iPhone only sends and receives messages from email

I am switching my iPhone 3GS formerly on AT&T to Straight Talk. I set up my phone, but the iMessage is acting up. I sign in to my Apple ID, and it has my number (grayed out) and my email as options to send and receive messages. When I go into settings > messages > send and receive, it only shows the email. This is very frustrating and I just want to figure it out. Any ideas?

It's because the phone number hasn't activated yet. This could be because the APN settings for Straight talk are not correct. It also can take up to 24 hours for the number to activate through the iMessage servers.

TDMS: is it possible to use sender and receiver client within the same SID

I have a general question about TDMS: i always read that it is possible to refresh data from a productive system/client to a test system/client, e.g. PRD100 => DEV100. But is it also possible to refresh data from one sender-client to the receiver-client inside the same system using TDMS, e.g. DEV100 => DEV200.
i'm asking because if i start to build up a new client using tdms the first step is to build up the client using package "ERP Initial Package for Master Data & Customizing". This includes under point "data transfer" the step "lock the system" with teh following description:
Lock System
Activities
During data deletion in the receiver client, the tables are dropped. All clients in the system are affected by this procedure. Consequently, all users in all clients in the receiver system must be temporarily locked while the data deletion takes place.
The function for this activity locks only the current client. If the receiver system is a single client system, it is sufficient to execute the function. If, however, the receiver system is a multi-client system, the user in the other clients must be locked using standard means.
Anyone has any experience with this scenario inside the same system?

You can run TDMS package on the same system and between different clients. However SAP don't recommend to run TDMS package on the same system.
There are 2 ways to delete data in receiver system: Array delete and drop insert.
You have to use Array Insert only which is usually very slow as it first select all the relevant entries from the tables in the target client and then drop it. So, it is slow.
Drop insert is much optimized and fast but the same can not be used in this use case.
That is the reason SAP don't recommend to have TDMS run in same system.

Trouble send and receiving messages and trouble calling people or receiving phone calls

Hello everyone, I bought a Blackberry Q5 one year ago and has worked perfectly since but on christmas day I had was struggling to send message to people I thought nothing of it since it was christmas and people would be wishing there families and friends a merry christmas. So i just carried on as usual not aware that the problem was much worse then i thought, since then I have tried time and time again to try text people and call them but nothing would happen.
The Problems I am experiencing,
Everytime I try sending a message it fails and times out after a while doesn't matter whom they are being sent to it's the same story no matter who I send them to, and then of course when i try calling someone the phone goes to the calling screen but doesn't make a sound for atleast 10 seconds then a message pops up saying "Call Failure, The call could not be connected. Please try again later". This message appears even when I ring '789' which is the number to find out what my balance is on my contract.
At first I thought it was the Sim what was cauing the problems but when i swapped it into another Virgin phone i received quite an alarming amount of messages what would not come through on my phone, this is when i realised I am not just struggling to send messages but to receive them as well. I have scoured the internet for possible answers but nothing has worked, so far I have tried manually scanning for available networks and selecting the correct one which did not change the problem this didn't make things better nor did it make things worse.
I have also tried changing the data services while roaming settings which again did not make any differences, I have tried changing network mode no changes again, turning the mobile network off all together and then turning it back on after 5 minutes no success there either. I have even reset the phone back to factory setting to try and fix the problem, but no, the problem still will not go away.
Please if there is anyone out there who has any ideas on how to fix what is happening to my phone please do give me your advice, at this moment I really need a miracle to come around at the next corner.

I have a scenario where in I have to use only one sender and receiver communication channel to push files from different source directories to different receiver directories.
For Eg;

Can this be achieved by using pass through scenario?

Hi Advit,
I think it is possible. You have to use the Advanced Selection for Source file in the sender channel to define multiple files to be picked up. Also, the Dynamic configuration must also be enabled and used in the mapping so you can manipulate the target directory and target file name based on your source files.
