Is it possible to set a multi-path to jsp files?

Hello,
          When using:
          weblogic.httpd.documentRoot=public_html/
          It's O.K. but I'm looking for a way to set a path so in case the jsp
          file does no exist there it will be taken from a completely different
          path. For example, from R:\directory
          Is it possible?? I'll be thankful for your help,
          Gali.

No, it is not possible to have more than one document root. Why would you
          want to do such a thing? Drop all your html, jsp's etc. in the same
          document root and if anything is not found then you would get the HTTP
          400 error.

  • Relative Path for JSP Files

    I use Liferay Portal. It has a defined directory structure for all portlets and expects files to be in their proper locations. One of these is that it expects all .jsp files to be in the /webroot/html directory.
    The problem is that all references in the struts-config.xml to .jsp files are assumed to be relative to the /html directory. So if, for instance, I set the path as /test/test.jsp then Liferay looks for the file in /html/test/test.jsp. But NitroX requires the full path, including the /html.
    I've gotten this to work on another competing product - in that product I set the Web Root to be the /html directory and it works great. That product allows you to set the path of the struts-config.xml separately. Is there any way to do something similar with NitroX? I tried changing the webroot in the .m7project file manually but it doesn't like it. It seems to insist that the struts-config.xml file is in the webroot.
    Thanks.

    NitroX currently supports only a war directory structure. When a project is created, the Web Application Root directory is computed as the directory containing the WEB-INF folder (which should contain the web.xml file).
    All web app resources (JSP files, image, css files, etc) are expected to be under the Web Application Root directory (at any nested directory level).
    We will enhance this behavior in the future to support arbitrary directory structures.

  • Possible to set the Created_by column value for File Browse?

    I'm using database account authentication and then a user gets to upload a file. Then my stored procedure reads the file. I was investigating a problem, happened to search the apex_workspace_files view and noticed the created_by column is always set to APEX_PUBLIC_USER for the files my users upload. Is there some way I can set that value when they log in, so I can track who actually did the upload?
    Thanks,
    Stew

    Dimitri,
    I was just using the standard File Browse item, so getting the blob from the workspace view. Though I've seen notes here about loading to your own table, what I had seemed to work (and was done) fairly well. There were just these little features I wanted to use...
    Thanks for the suggestion.
    Dave, I'm not sure which stored procedure you're suggesting I add the apex_custom_auth.get_username value to? I hoped that the internal File Browse routine would pick up the get_username value automatically instead of the application definition Public User value.
    Thanks,
    Stew

  • Is it possible read fields on website from my JSP file

    Hi Frnds
    I want to know , Is it possible to read text fields on website from my JSP , I have website url and login details..
    1) How to open that URL with user username and PWD , I know only url and login details....apart from I dont have any information about that...
    2) I want to read one field values from that web site using my jsp , Is it possible ..which concepts will help me ...
    Plesae revert to mee...
    Thanks..frnds...

    It's perfectly possible, in essence you can just call openStream on the URL and the data will be fed to you. However then you hit the hard part, digging the bits you want out of the HTML you'll get. For this you'll need to start writing real Java rather than trying to stretch JSP to do stuff it shouldn't. I say again; write a Servlet. Beginners, who presumably come from PHP or ASP backgrounds, tend to try and do everything in JSPs, and avoid real Java classes. This is a very bad idea.
    In any case this kind of approach, mining data out of HTML pages, should be a last resort. First see if you can get your mail using POP3 or IMAP protocols. The gmail people will feel free to vary the structure of their HTML pages without warning, and your application will then fall in a heap. There's plenty of support for POP3 and IMAP in the java.mail package (not part of the standard install but easy to get).
    If you must read the HTML there are library classes that will help you. See the package java.swing.text.html.parser.

  • Setting java.library.path property in java code

    Hi,
    i'd like to set java.library.path property in java code to load a dll-library. I know that a funtional way is to run JVM with parameter -Djava.library.path=c:\tmp, but I need it do it IN CODE.
    I'v tried this:
    System.setProperty("java.library.path", "c:\\tmp");
    System.loadLibrary("libapr");The library 'libapr.dll' is situated really in 'c:\tmp' directory, but I get 'java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no libapr in java.library.path' exception.
    It seems like the already running java program doesn't use actual java.library.path set in previous step.
    Is there any possibility to set java.library.path property in java code?
    Thanx
    Brny

    I think the following code should work:
    // Reset the "sys_paths" field of the ClassLoader to null.
              Class clazz = ClassLoader.class;
              Field field = clazz.getDeclaredField("sys_paths");
              boolean accessible = field.isAccessible();
              if (!accessible)
                   field.setAccessible(true);
              Object original = field.get(clazz);
              // Reset it to null so that whenever "System.loadLibrary" is called, it will be reconstructed with the changed value.
              field.set(clazz, null);
              try {
                   // Change the value and load the library.
                   System.setProperty("java.library.path", "c:\\tmp");
                   System.loadLibrary("libapr");
              finally {
                   //Revert back the changes.
                   field.set(clazz, original);
                   field.setAccessible(accessible);
    The idea is to make the static field "sys_paths" null so that it would construct the paths from the changed value.

  • It should be possible to set default behavior for all file types

    It should be possible to set a default action for all file types. I'm so tired of having to manually sit and say "save this file" because Firefail always defaults to "open with" and has disabled the "Do this automatically for files like this from now on."
    And spare me the zealotry religious excuses for why its the fault of websites and not Firefail

    I do want users to have full control to be able to set any folder view they want by using Apply to Folders; I just want to set the initial/default view to Detail because that matches what the majority of my users want.
    That is, what registry setting changes when I go to a picture folder, change the view to Detail, and click Apply to Folders? Having done that, I still retain the ability to change it to some other view and apply that to folders. But what registry setting
    represents the change I just made when applying Detail view to all Picture folders.?
    This settings is simple via GUI, but it is related a lot of registry keys, I made a test in my machine, capture the "Apply to Folders" process using Regshot tool (this is a small tool which can compare the regsitry changes after you change some
    settings), and this is the result:
    this is part of the registry changes, a plenty of registry keys and values need to be changed. hard to list them here. if you have interests, I recommend the tool Regshot, it can help you capture the regsitry changes.

  • VS 2013 - SQL Server Projects - Can I Change defaults for SQL Servers to use and the paths to DB-files?

    Hi all,
    when a create a SQL Server Project using "File > New ...", I find the following settings defaulted:
    SQL Server is (local)\Version12.0 and
    DefaultDataPath, DefaultFileprefix and the DefaultFilename(s) for MDFs and LDFs point to the Project directory.
    Initial settings of file size and increments are also not settable but defaulted.
    Because my projects have to verify performance by testing with large volume of data, we have to use a different SQL Server with files stored on that Server. The Project settings have a button to changes DB properties, but these are not part of that
    dialog.
    So I spent some fruitless hours in vain to find a way to change the project's connection to my development SQL Servers.
    How to cope with that?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards Uwe

    Hi Caillen,
    thanks for Your response. I have to apologize for being a little late with my answer. I'll try to clarify my case more precisely:
    This is surely a topic related to VS2013 handling new "SQL Server Database Projects". When one clicks "OK" the following steps are executed by VS2013 (surely controlled by standard templates or the like):
    VS2013 creates the new project in a selectable directory and uses the projectname as a subdirectory whre the directory elements (*.sqlproj, bin\, obj\) where  later all the *.sql are placed, too. This is normal and expected.
    VS2013 creates a new database with its DB-files
    and attaches it to "(localdb)\ProjectsV12". The name of the database is the name of the project. The path to the DB-files (*.mdf and ldf) and their sizes are also defaulted to small values. The DB-server and the
    path to the DB-files is taken from the registry (!) HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\VisualStudio\12.0\SSDT\LocalDbDatabaseFilePaths. I don't know when and by what tools these values are set.
    The path to DB-Files is typically also the path to the projects. The (local)-server places all system database files in the User\<user-ID>\Appdata\.. tree. Which is OK for small databases. The templates extracts some data from the DB-file path and
    places it in the deployment SQLs to populate the SQLCMD variables DefaultDataPath, DefaultFileprefix and the DefaultFilename(s) which are generated when pressing "Executed" or "Debug" the project.
    My problem is that we have to test database performance with larger volumes of data (e.g. two million rows and more). These cannot be stored in the User-path but must be handled by some kind of professional DB-Manager on various storage devices. When everything
    is tested, the publishing function of VS2013 will extract the structure and you are done incl. all the performance taming things.
    The dialog from the project properties can change to a different Server, but that server does not know your project database. The server and the DB-Files should be specified by the developer before VS2013 creates the database.
    So  the right forum would be a forum, where people developing SQL Server solutions with VS2013 are reading the questions.
    Thanks again for your patience.
    Regards Uwe

  • Getting absolute path of a file in a webapp without using servlet/JSP

    Hi all,
    I need a small clarification. Is it possible to reterive the absolute path of a file present in a tomcat web application without using Servlet/JSP. I need a small clarification. Is it possible to

    I like to know

  • How to set the report path in a model plugin

    I am trying to figure out how to set the report path in a process model plug-in. I can seem to figure out how to get access to it. It seems like this would be a reasonable thing to do since the plug-ins are for results processing. Does anyone know how to do this? We typically use the Sequential process model but I am trying to keep my plug-in as independent of that as possible.
    Thanks.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    If I understand, you want your plug-in, when enabled, to alter the settings of any other instances of the NI report plug-in such that their reports share the same directory as your plug-in is configured to use.
    If so, your plug-in can access and modify the settings of all other plug-in instances. All instances are passed to all plug-in entries point in the plugins array sub-property of the ModelConfiguration parameter. You can iterate through this array. Any element of the array with a Base.SequenceFilename equal to "NI_ReportGenerator.seq" is an instance of the NI report plug-in. Its report options are stored in the element under PluginSpecific.Options.
    You can change the report options to what ever you want. Note that the ReportOptions model callback is called from the Initialize model-plugin entry point, so you might want to ensure that your changes are applied after that, so they aren't overwritten. To do that, you could make your changes in the the Initialize entry point of your plug-in, and ensure that your plugin runs last. To make it run last, you could set the FileGlobals.ModelPluginComponentDescription.Default.Base.RunOrder in your plug-in file to a value greater than 0, such as 1.0 (see TestStand Help>>Fundamentals>>Process Model Architecture>>Process Model Plug-in Architecture>>Structure of Plug-in Sequence Files>>Model Plug-in Entry Points>>Order of Entry Point Execution at Run Time).

  • Is it possible to set  Local Currency - INR in SAP B1 8.81

    Hi,
    In SAP B1 Version  8.81 , i have taken Type -Chart of Accounts - as Global
    and  Localization - United Kingdom  And just tell me is it possible to set
    Local Currency - INR in SAP B1 8.81

    Hi,
    You can set any currency till the time there is no transactions in the database.
    Please do remember that the on selection of the Localization UK, the legal aspects and the tax law pertaining to the UK will be applicable and also you have to check for the exchange rate calculation based on settings (direct/indirect).
    Also, taking INR as LC will lead to INR being the main currency and hence the reports generation and reconciliation of all the Multi-Currency will be performed in the Lead Currency.
    All the Best.

  • Sun ONE Studio 4 aka Forte: How to set the output path for classes ?

    Help !
    Beginner's question:
    Sun ONE Studio 4 aka Forte:
    How to set the output path for classes ?
    As default, the class files are created in the same directory as the
    sources.
    In opposite, both JBuilder and Together support that there is a tree
    with the sources and another tree with the classes.
    The first answer I got was "not possible with Forte, but just if you write your own "ANT Build script" !
    a) Please point me to a ready-to-use ANT script for this purpose, if such is available
    b) Is using ANT instead of the MAKE as comfortable ? Besides the separation of sourcecode and classes, I would like to keep everything else to be the same, i.e. I dont want to edit the ANT file if I enlarge the project by directories or files.
    Tia
    Sincerely
    Rolf

    You can set S1S's options to place newly created .class files in a specific location.
    Identify the compiler that is being used - Open the S1S's Tools/Options window, expand Editing and select Java Sources. Note the Default Compiler value. (If it's one if the Ant options, you use Ant to specify this option, not S1S.)
    Open the S1S's Tools/Options window, expand Building/Compiler Types and select the appropriate compiler.
    The Properties tab of the compiler has the property Target, which sets the filesystem where the compiler output is directed. If you choose <not set>, the .class files are written to their source directory.
    When you set the Target, your change affects all classes that use this compiler.
    Very few options can't be set in S1S; the challenge is finding out where they're set!

  • Error in setting up Multi-user RPD

    Hi
    I've managed to set up a local MUD RPD on my laptop for testing purposes. I am able to make updates and then check these into the shared RPD. However when trying to access the shared RPD I receive the message that I am only able to update the RPD in Read-Only mode.
    What I want to know is have I missed a step in cecking the updates into the shared RPD which has left a lock on the shared RPD?
    The following files are listed in the shared directory:
    modified subset of shared_samplesales.001
    modified subset of shared_samplesales.002
    shared_samplesales.000
    shared_samplesales.001
    shared_samplesales.002
    shared_samplesales.002.csv
    shared_samplesales.mhl
    shared_samplesales.rpd
    Regards
    Adnan

    Hi
    I may have the answer. I copied the file into a different folder and I was able to open the file in offline mode.
    It seems that when you set the multi-user RPD in the Tool>Options>Multiuser the folder that you specify here automatically any repository in this folder can only be opened as read-only. I changed the foler path to where I copied the the RPD to and low and behold I was only able to open the file in read-only mode.
