Is it possible to set up a bigger cluster with different AGs failover in sets of the nodes

For SQL 2012 alwaysON, can it support this scenario?
Set up a 12 node windows server failover cluster (A B C ... L)
create 8 availability groups, let them fail over in 3 nodes of the cluster, e.g.
AG1 failover in A B C nodes
AG2 failover in B C D nodes
AG3 failover in C D E nodes
etc.
if this is supported, I guess then it's possible to say for any node in the Windows cluster, it can be at the same time be primaries for some AGs and secondaries for some other AGs (if we don't worry about performance)

Microsoft supporting it is one thing. You and your team supporting it is another. Highly available systems need to be kept as simple as possible so long as it meets your recovery objectives and service level agreements. The question here is this: do all
databases on those Availability Groups all have the same recovery objectives and service level agreements? This should dictate how you architect your solution

Hi,
I would like to set all the properties of a bean, that is instantiated in a servlet, at once. The values I want to set the bean properties with are kept in a request object coming from a jsp. All form parameter names of the jsp are the same as the names of all bean properties.
I would like to set all the bean properties at once, so I don't have to use the 'getParameter' method for every bean property. Actually just like when setting properties in a jsp using the setProperty tag, but then in the servlet.
Is there a possibility to do so?

You have an html with a form, after submitting, forward the user to a jsp page with the following code:
// instantiate bean
<jsp:useBean id=�cust� class=�Northwind� />
// set all bean properties
<jsp:setProperty name=�cust� property=�*� />its up to you what to do next, you could simply forward the user to your servlet for database storage, etc. hope this helps, good luck!

No. The mobile devices are not backed up with Time Machine or Time Capsule. They are backed up either to iCloud or iTunes only.

For Scrolling it's in System Preferences > Trackpad > Scroll & Zoom tab > uncheck "scroll direction: natural".

When my daughter was too young for her own iTunes account, I set one up under my own e-mail address and using my credit card. I've never used the iTunes account as as I don't own any apple devices myself; but I've used the Apple ID for purchases for others at the Apple store at the mall. Over the years she has purchased music and apps using gifts, although I've kept the password to myself so I could keep tabs on her purchases
Now she has her own iPhone and is old enough to have her own account and password, I would like to transfer everything over to her. The catch is, I want to keep the Apple ID in case I get an iPhone for myself. But I don't want any of the things she bought. I want to "reset" my Apple ID and start over again for my 12-year old son who has an iPod.
Is this possible, and if so how?

You can't change the @me.com associated with your iCloud Apple ID, but you can create an alias at iCloud.com.

ThreadOpt values - is it possible to set them and what are the ranges?

I have a problem on my TestStand 4.2 platform, with test step result, formed and received from called external sequences results. In my Main sequence, in Post-Expression I defined condition, according to which the "Step.Result.Status" is passed or failed, and it works. But the problem is that in Status Expression field there is following statement: "(Step.Result.Status == "Done" && (Step.TS.SData.ThreadOpt == 0 || Step.TS.SData.ThreadOpt == 3)) ? "Passed" : Step.Result.Status". After deep search in the user manual, I found that (Note from "Expression Tab - Step Properties Dialog Box"): "Certain types of steps, such as Numeric Limit Tests, Multiple Numeric Limit Tests, String Value Tests, Pass/Fail Tests, and Statement steps, reserve one or more of these expressions to perform operations specific to the type of step or a substep performs the operation. In these cases, you cannot use the expressions the step type reserves, which appear dimmed on the tab."
Now, my problem is that at this specific step I call to an external sequence, which returns results and it is correct, but if these results, compared to expected are not the same, my step in the main sequence fails. Which is OK. But when the final report is generated I see there "Number of Tests Failed: 0", which is not OK. Since I can't change the "Step.Result.Status == Done", which comes from the external sequence, I thought that may be there is a place to change the "Step.TS.SData.ThreadOpt" and this way to cause to main sequence to correctly report "Failed Tests <> 0"???
Does anyone has an idea whether it is possible to set this the ThreadOpt value and what is the accepted range?

Maybe I misunderstood. When you said "My normal process is to set it to 1, but based on this info, it needs to be either set to None or Use Remote Computer if you want anything other than "Done" to be returned." I thought you meant that you were setting the property directly rather than setting your sequence call steps to "New Thread" with the combobox.

Possible to set Preview Checkbox 'On' as Default?

I spent this morning setting up my function keys to Illy menu commands (check out Microsoft's Wireless Keyboard 1000; it works on Mac and Win and has 20+ extra configurable keys in addition to the function keys -- I'm on the Mac and use it for application launching, expose, find file, and setting function keys in multiple applications). Still can't map any tools to function keys (grumble grumble) but that is another post entirely.
I also spent some time configuring one of my New Document Profiles, and am curious if it is possible to set all the Preview checkboxes to On as the default setting. For instance, if I am editing an existing global color swatch and want to see the results before comitting I have to click the Preview checkbox in the dialog box. Or, if I am in the Move dialog box. Or if I am using one of the Effects. It would save me some time if this is possible.

Open the New Document Profile you want and uncheck the Hyphenate box in the Paragraph panel. Then save the file, overwriting the original. As for the first part, most of what you are describing are handled by .aip or plugins and are essentially a compiled software that could only be changed by the originators. Not to say it wouldn't make a good feature request.

Possible to set my computer keyboard on laptop up to play drums?

I'm going on a trip and will have my laptop with Logic 8 on it. I need to create some drums, but I won't have a MIDI controller. Is it possible to set up the actual computer keyboard somewhat similar to a MIDI controller? I really just need kick, snare, hihat, ride... I will be using the brush kit in EXS24. I thought GarageBand could do that...but don't know how to do it with Logic.

It is called the Caps Lock Keyboard. Just press the CAPS LOCK key and it brings up a floating window showing you which keyboard keys to use.
Pg 389 of the Logic Pro 8 User Manual has all the info on using the Caps Lock Keyboard.
You may also want to consider using the Grid View in Ultrabeat to program your drums as well.

Is it possible to create a PDF with different colors for screen and printing?

I'm working on a document that features light colored text on a dark background. I'll be sending this document as a PDF to someone who will likely want to print it. Is it possible to set up the document such that it will display this way when viewed on screen, but will print as black text on a white background, without requiring any special action on the part of the recipient?
Printing a color separation of just the text color produces exactly the results I'm after, but I can't ask the recipient to do that. I need it to happen automatically any time it's printed.
I've tried setting up a duplicate text layer in black and placing it under the background layer, then setting the background layer and colored text to 'never print'. This works within Acrobat Pro, but not when I print the same document from Preview.
Is there an acrobat equivalent of a CSS print stylesheet?

Create the document in layers with the background on a seperate layer than the text. Export the PDF with"Create Acrobat Layers" selected (it will need to be at least version 1.5).
Open the PDF in Acrobat, choose the background layer then Options>Properties>Initial State and under "print" choose "Never prints".

Manually set up the essbase 11 client (without using the fusion installer)

Hi All,
is it possible to install the Essbase 11 client without using the Fusion Installer?
I tryed to copy the "bin" and "locale" directory from an exisiting installation and set up the ARBORPATH environment variable - without success.
Did I miss anything? Maybe some Registry entries? Or isn't it possible to set up the essbase client manually?
Every answer would be appreciated.

Setting up the ipod touch

Is it possible to set up the basic functions without being connected to the net? I'm having to wait two weeks before I can if I can't (the delay being the time taken for the internet connection to be setup!)

You're correct, there's no option to set on the contact or a group which SIM to use for calling or for texting; however, there's a setting on the phone that you can enable in order for you to choose a SIM everytime you make a call or send a text message. You can go to Settings > Dual SIM > toggle "You'll be asked to choose a SIM every time you make a call or send a text message" On.
By the way, you can send a feedback to Nokia using your phone by going to Settings > Feedback to Nokia.

If I first click on the node and then right click on selected node it populate the database block.
But I want to populate the datablock on right click.
