Is it possible to uninstall ios7? I have an older Iphone4 and ios7 cripppled it/

I just downloaded the new ios7 and shortly after I started noticing that it wasn't acting right, couple of things I saw, texting wouldn't register, I would text a word and it would just sit there and do nothing. then 10 seconds later the letter would show up, or word if I typed the whole thing blind. Also I rely heavily on the app Voxer, which is a walkie talkie app that lets you send and receive messages, in my instance my long distance girlfriend, it doesn't show me I got a message at all when earllier version of ios does. I'm sure it has a couple of interesting new updates, but the lack of the phone working isn't enough to justify opening my flashlight faster. All I'm asking is if there is a way to go back to an old ios or just uninstall ios7?

Downgrading the iOS is not supported at all.

Contact the police about the theft. Change passwords on any accounts used with the device. Contact the carrier about discontinuing service and possibly blocking future contracts with the phone. Shop for a new phone.

You don't say which version of iPod you have but apparently it's fully updated to it's capability yet not to the level that newer iPods can go. Some apps do require the latest IOS level.

Apple changed MobileMe to iCloud and then restricted iCloud to 10.7 users only unfortunately
If your machine is a 64 bit processor Intel Mac you can upgrade to 10.7 for $29, however a lot of your 10.5/10.6/Rosetta based software could cease to function, especially third party hardware drivers for printers, fax machines, all-in-ones, scanners etc.

Also depending how old the machine is, if it can accept 4GB of RAM (preferred), older video card, may not run 10.7 very well or stable.
My advice is to keep at 10.6.8, get a web based email service that's plaform/hardware neutral, forward your iPhone emails there. Gmail/Yahoo Mail for instance.
When your ready for new hardware and all new software, then buy a new machine.
If your going to go to 10.7 on your present hardware, I advise you clone 10.6.8 to a external drive first, that way you can c boot off the 10.6 disk erase the drive completely (necessary to remove hidden Lion Recovery Partition) and option boot off the 10.6.8 clone and reverse clone.

If Software Update is offering the update then it would be compatible with your model. Unfortunately, you haven't provided us with any information on your hardware that would enable us to determine if it really is too old.
If you really wish to disable the update alert then the next time Software Update opens, select the update in the list then select "Ignore update" from SU's Update menu.

So, if that is your iPod model, and you have a computer with a FireWire port, which even the current Macs do not have anymore, the cables are commonly available. However, the one to get depends on the type of FireWire port you have on the computer. The two likely types are 6-pin (older FireWire 400) and 9-pin (newer FireWire 800). Your iPod has the 6-pin (400) port.

If your computer has 9-pin (800), you need a 6-pin (400) to 9-pin (800) cable. If it has 6-pin (400) that looks like the port on the iPod, then you need 6-pin to 6-pin.

Without a disc, I'd create a new administrator id and delete the old id. Erase any folders you might have created outside your home folder. Use disk utility to erase free space. One pass should be good enough for a home computer.

Go back to that article, ignore the instructions for updating it wirelessly, scroll down, and follow those for updating it from iTunes on a computer.
