Is lvbitx file included in my rtexe application
In my code running on an RT computer, I use the vi "Open FPGA VI reference" to load the lvbitx file to the FPGA.
When I build this app, the bitfile is copied to the data folder of the "build" folder.
To run this built application on the RT computer, I normally copy all the files generated during the build, including the lvbitx file. But is it really needed? In other words, does my built application (r.texe) contains this bitfile ?
When I build this app, the bitfile lvbitx is copied to the "support directory", which in my case is named "data". I've always assumed that it is needed as it is copied there. But it sounds like i was wrong. Can you confirm that ?

Creating jar file including 2 another jar files

My project has java files, properties files,batch files as well as two jar files,mail.jar & activation.jar(for importing packages).
I have to include these jar files while setting environment variables.
Now i want to make "MyPrj.jar" file for myproject ,can anyone pls help me how to include these all files into a single jar file. and how to make setup file
I have tried to extract out .class files of mail.jar & activation.jar & i ve created MyPrj.jar by including all class files(including class files of mail.jar & activation.jar) but manifest file(headers) are not added to MyPrj.jar.
i have also tried to give mail.jar & activation.jar in Class-Path of menifest file, but it is also not working.

Best/Easiest Practice for Distribution of Webhelp files for Fat(ish) Client Application
So another in my long line of questions in trying to change the implementation of the help systems at my new employer.
So, the pressure is to convince the existing guard to toss out the old method and go with a new method... One of the issues has come up for CSH Webhelp (via RH10)...
Apparently, in the old method (where every help topic was it's own CHM - no, I'm not kidding). They kept it that way so that any time a help file was updated, they could just send out that one chm to update that one topic.
Now they are worried that if we switch to webhelp using topics in one single big project that we can't just send out a single updated file any more...
So I'm trying to get ammunition as to how updates to the help can be distributed without it being a big hassle...
We do have small updates that go out about every week, and they are afraid that going to the webhelp (1 project with lots of topics) method will require more time and effort for the techs because they will have to complete the update of a huge help system every time.
One solution we have suggested is that we only update help files on major releases and add any changes to help procedures in the Release Notes or in a separate PDF and also include a note that the help files "will be updated to reflect this change in the XX/2015 XYZ Release).
Does ANYONE have any other ideas of how distribution could be done efficiently so that we don't have to continue this "project per topic" fiasco?
HELP!!! PLEASE!!!!Amebr - you hit the nail on the head... i want to apologize to everyone for all this mass hysteria...but this has been a freaking rollercoaster... one day they are happy with the plan, the next day they decided they want to complicate it more... So now my job is to find out how viable and how tricky and perhaps how dangerous it will be to send out JUST the files that have been changed. Especially for CSH!
Anyone have any experience with this or have any advice? Peter? I suspect you might know how this might work... are they any pitfalls to watch out for.. I just have this fear of sending out a few files from an entire project... Altho, it appears when I publish, ONLY the files that have been edited in some way show a new date.. that includes non-topic files - so i'm assuming sending all those will keep the TOC, Index, and Search features working properly... as well as incoming and outgoing links from an edited topic?
Another question would be how to handle new images in a project... as the image folder tends to be the largest, i don't want to have to send the entire image folder... Thoughts...???? Advice? Jeff? Peter? Amebr? Bueller? Bueller? Bueller....?

Including extensions in my application JAR
Hi. I have an application in a JAR-file the uses some extension classes also found in a JAR-file. To run my application I have to put the extension JAR-file in ...\JavaSoft\JRE\1.3.1\lib\ext\.
I would like to be able to distribute my application in a single JAR-file. Can this be done by for example including the extension JAR in my application JAR? (And how?)

problem is ... i jus downloaded JRE 1.4.2 .. i also have JRE 1.4.1_03 .. when i select JRE 1.4.2 .. it doesnt download the required requird JAR file no popup is shown the applet loads succesfully but obviously doest run becoz the requird JAR file was not installed. but when i use the older JRE 1.4.1_03 it shows the popup for download and installs the JAR file in the lib/ext .. can n e one help me on this?

i have an applet that uses another JAR file that is of about 1.5 MB ... i want it to get this JAR installed on the client when the client first time access the WebPage
the problem is that it downloads the first time and get installed and runs fine but when i refresh the page or visit the site again .. it downloads again so its useless i jus want it to download once

Currently optimizing a large application at work. There are many files in some of the module projects that are not used by the exported (release build) Module.swf's. Are these unused files included in the swf's?

I've tried to install Adobe Reader on my mom's computer, and after doing so, absolutely EVERYTHING on her computer turned into an Adobe file, including the shortcuts for Firefox. Is there a reason/fix for this?

Make a jar file availlable for all web application at deployement time

Is there a way to make a jar file availlable to all web application included in a .ear file. I know that i can manually copy the jar under (OC4J_HOME)/j2ee/home/lib , but can i create a package that have those web application ( lets say 4 ) and also the common jar file, deploy the that .ear file and make my jar file automatically availlable for all the deployed web application ? or is there a special command that i can use to copy that jar to the (OC4J_HOME)/j2ee/home/lib while deploying the .ear file ?
i tried adding a manifest file with the classpath option but this seem to work only with jsp...
thanx for your audience...Open the file %J2EE_HOME%/applcation-deployments/your-app/orion-application.xml. Add a tag like the one below:
<library path="location_of_my_library.jar" />
This will make the JAR availible to only your application, and the modules within it, and no others.

I had all my files, including bookmarks, backed up to my NAS when my hard drive failed. How do I import these bookmarks to Firefox on my new notebook? I can easily find the folder "Favorites" on my NAS, but can't get Firefox to "see" this folder, or my bookmarks.
If you open Firefox then Firefox will always use the default profile folder as found via profiles.ini on your system drive.
You either need to import the file in your current default profile or copy the file to your current profile folder while Firefox is closed.
Firefox 3 stores the bookmarks and the browser history in [http://kb.mozillazine.org/places.sqlite places.sqlite] and no longer creates an HTML backup by default.
There are also (five) JSON backups in the bookmarkbackups folder within the Firefox profile folder.
You can either copy the file places.sqlite to your [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] or import the most recent JSON backup from the bookmarkbackups folder of that old profile.

None of my apple apps can export files, including Mail, iPhoto, Aperture and Preview.
None of my apple apps can export files, including Mail, iPhoto, Aperture and Preview. When I try to export a file from any of these programs, the app hangs for a few seconds and then does nothing, not even open an export dialogue. Same thing happens when I try to attach a file to an email. Also, maybe related and maybe not, Photoshop will crash after the splash screen. All of these app function properly when using a different User Account.
I've tried deleting my application preferences in my user library and when that didn't work, I deleted my account and then created a new one that used the same user directory, which still didn't fix anything.
I don't really want to make a new user from scratch and have to re-enter license numbers, re-calibrate monitors, recover bookmarks, contancts, etc. etc. if I don't have to, so I would be grateful for any advice.

directories creates basis. If you have task to store data in application server you already should have information into which folder you have to do it. If you don't have this information because it is just for example training for next task then you can use your personal folder into which you have access. To get list of all available folders please look at attached code and form get_directories (you get the list of folders you see in transaction AL11). But don't forget: If you are using open dataset you have to have rights to access application folder!

Just realize... when you run it in foreground, you have a foreground to capture the file location. so it runs fine..
but when you are running it in background, there is no foreground to check that is no gui present... how can it check where the C:\.... location is??
no need of reading any oss note... just see.. the name is cl_GUI_FRONTEND_service.. its only for front end..
u need open dataset, read dataset, close dataset kind of things while running in background. or RFCs to read the file... (search SDN). -
Files from FTP server to Application server
Hi All,
I am new to SDN and SAP XI, can anyone tell me whether its possible to move the files (different strcuture files i.e. some are master data files and some are transaction data file) from FTP server to Application server with one interface. Actually the process is already established at clientsite for placing master data files like product, plant etc from FTP server to App server through FTP adapter. Now my requirement is to move transaction data file with completely different structure as master data to App server. If we place these trasaction data file in same folder/directory as master data files does SAP XI pick this file also. If not what are the steps I need to follow to achieve this. I know that if we create new configuration it will work but I question is does master data interface picks this transaction data file also.
Right now our process for master data files is SAP XI picks the files and deletes the file from FTP server folder. The master data file names are plant_attr.csv, product_attr.csv etc and transcation data file name is salestrasactiondata.csv. I need to move these files to application server on daily bases.

Yes it is possible.
There can be two ways of doing it.
1. N:1 mapping, BPM will require for this.

Second option
Create 3 scanarios in integration directory and correspondingly in integration repositoy create different data types, message types, mappings & interface mappings and then in each of scenario us different message interface and interface mapping.

If you are using N:1 scenario then use *.csv in your sender adapter under file name parameter and then all the files will be picked up from same directory.
If you are using second option (3 different scenarios) then also you can pick the different files from same directory. You will be having 3 sender adapters in this case, So, one for picking master data, and another for product data and the last one for transaction data.
So, in case of master data use "plant_*.csv" as a file name and directory name.
In case of product data, use "product_*.csv " as a file name and source directory will remain same.
similarly do it for transaction data.
So by this way all 3 sender adapters will perform their job to pick the different files from same source directory.
