Is the Refactor Bug fixed in 11.1.2? I really need an Oracle opinion...

Hello Everyone:
I have been trying to utilize the performance enhancing Best Practise of creating a re-usable Business Components .jar file for everyone to use that creates a JDeveloper Application.
This re-usable .jar file, originally created in 10g, had hours and hours of work spent on functionally grouping entities using refactor, re-naming ambiguously named database constraints into understandable descriptive associations using refactor, creating display types of checkBox and Uppercase (in Control Hints), include any simple Validations and labelling each and every column for inclusion in projects (in Control Hints). The intent was to have this Entity layer ready and done for people to pick up and use. Create their View Objects from, and fly from there. Every other tool we have used for Application Development has allowed us to have a database layer that is created once and then used by everyone.
Unfortunately, we have not been flying with JDeveloper and there appears to be a Bug in the Refactor functionality. We started creating this .jar file in 10.1.3.3 and migrated it to 11.1.1.4 which is what we are still on.
I believe that we are still having residual code from the 10g Refactor problem and it is detailed in this pretty much ignored (except for 2 kind individuals) forum post. These two individuals confirmed that they too have to go in and MANUALLY change the .xml files after refactoring using a "trail and error" method.
Getting "Unable to find referenced object" at random when opening JDev
So I have come to the conclusion that we need to start from scratch and re-do all this work. This question is to ask if the factoring in 11.1.2 works correctly. According to the following documentation (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E16162_01/web.1112/e16182/refactoring.htm) Table 37.1, we SHOULD be able to do this with no problem.
Because 11.1.2 now allows a database such as ours that does NOT have pre-populated keys (Primary keys from model (6894412)), I am figuring that I should re-do everything in 11.1.2 from scratch. So I am asking here if
1) Has anyone done a LOT of refactoring in 11.1.2 and know it to work?
2) Any input on the start from scratch approach?
3) Is there some shortcuts to allow me to use things such as manipulating the code from the 10g Message Bundle files into the ModelBundle file so that all those months and months of work are not completely lost?
4) If anyone knows how to easily bring over Display_Type = checkBox code from what I already have in our current 11.1.1.4 .jar file to a new, from scratch, 11.1.2 Business Components .jar file?
I appreciate any response. To note, we have not converted over to 11.1.2 because we are waiting for the JHeadstart release that supports it as we use JHeadstart.

I am not trying to run anything in JHeadstart. I am only in the Model layer trying to create the re-usable Business Components that will eventually be imported into projects - some using Jheadstart, others not.
The errors I am getting are explained in this post Getting "Unable to find referenced object" at random when opening JDev When I open JDeveloper and HAVE AN ASSOCIATION OPEN IN THE EDIT PANE, then I will get a "unable to reference object" error on some associations. This appears to be caused by our use of refactor in 10g in these entities which was then migrated over to 11g. 2 other people in that thread confirmed that they have had problems with refactor. There is a lot more detail in that thread.
I am not sure what your Proof of Concept comment means. I am assuming POC means Proof of Concept. Correct me if I am wrong. Are you saying that Oracle is not aware that there has been a refactor problem and want me to check it out? I was hoping for some reassurance that Oracle was aware that there were problems with refactor in 10g, and they have been fixed in 11.1.2.
Is Oracle not aware there have been problems with refactor and has anyone used refactor A LOT in 11.1.2 and know it to work correctly?
Is starting from scratch the best idea?
Are there any ideas about shortcuts to help me use the code that has had hours and hours of time invested in it and bring it over to 11.1.2?
If you want me to check it out will I get Oracle consulting fees? :)

Did you not have a Time Machine backup of your Macbook Pro or a clone backup on an external HD?
To copy music from the iPhone to your Mac -- except purchases from the Apple Store -- you need third-party software.

Does any one know when can I get the wifi bug fixed?

Tried anything I can do to even invested a new router, nothing changed, still losing connection from time to time, once a minute.

He moved it to another screen, he moved it into a folder, or he turned on restrictions for Safari.
Check Settings > General > Restrictions. If restrictions are enabled for Safari, Safari is disabled and its icon is removed from the Home screen.
You can also reset the home screen layout. Settings >General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout. That will place all the original apps in their original location with all added apps following in alphabetical order.

Can Apple please improve the approval system for application updates? I can't keep waiting months to get the latest bug fixes!

For example why has Coda 2 not been updated to version 2.0.4? Apple needs to improve the approval system. It has now been 2 months since Apple has approved Coda 2 updates. Coda 2 is not the only application experiencing similar issues. It is embarrasing when a vendor has to say this has been fixed but we are awaiting approval from Apple to update the app on the app store.

When offering advice in the ASC, my comments are not meant to be anything more than helpful and certainly not to be taken as insults.
And if the developer is lying to you? Perhaps the developer has failed to follow the Apple guidelines for iOS apps. To blame it on Apple alone is awfully convenient.

2.0 has already been updated. I'm up to 2.0.2 and it works just fine.
If you want to wait a week, on Sept. 9th Apple has announced a press event where they are going to evidently update and release some products. We don't know for sure, but for that last several years in a row this has been iPod update month. So maybe we'll see another update to the software next week. We'll soon find out.

I need to transfer my library from my old computer to my new computer (both PCs.) How is this done? The process seems to be more opaque than it really needs to be. Thank you!!

My library (which includes items from CDs and items purchased from itunes) is on my old PC. I have a new PC and want to transfer the library. I can't see how to do this. I've turned Home Sharing on for both computers, but the Share doesn't show up on either one. I can't figure out how to move the library. When I try to burn it on a CD it keeps saying the CD isn't blank, even tho it is.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

O.,.k. Maybe this is progress. I transfered the Itunes folder to an external hard drive, connected that with the new computer, and told Itunes to look for the library there. It found the library.
The playlists are not there, but that's not a big deal.
The songs I tried to transfer to the new computer are still there, with the "!" tag, meaning they won't play. No big deal. I deleted all the "!" because the songs were there in files without the "!".
Final problem, I hope.
I ended up with hundreds of duplicate copies. Both dupes play. Again, no big deal other than the annoyance of having to delete the dupes.
Next step, after I have completed the deletion of the dupes.
1. Recreate the play lists manually, using my Ipod as the guide.
2. Then sync the Ipod with the new computer library, and all will be will.
Am I right? Or is there possible trouble?

The cable that I'm using came with my 5th gen nano. The 6th gen Ipod shows that it's connected but the computer doesn't see it, so I don't think that it's the cable.
I did try this before when looking at the troubleshooting guide and nothing happens. It just resets and then the Ipod screen tells me that it's connected to the computer. It still is unseen by Itunes and no where to be found in my computer.
I don't have another computer to plug it into at the moment but I may be able to visit a friend that owns a decent PC in a few days. If that doesn't work out I will be getting a new lap top in a week and I'm hoping that it will work on that, but it won't be a Mac. So, let's say it works when I plug it into one of these computers, should I reset my Ipod from there or is there something else I should do?

Have you tried closing the app completely ? From the home screen (i.e. not with Angry Birds 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Angry Birds app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Bug Fix: SSMS 2012 SP1 CU7 generates deprecated Execute code

Please correct a problem with code that was likely written many years ago.
I tried to find source of the Deprecated Feature error in my code unsuccessfully, when I finally realized that the source of the problem is in code that SSMS generated.
SQL Azure will not run this code generated in SSMS when you right-click a stored procedure, and select "Execute Stored Procedure". It will generate the following:
USE [MyDB]
GO
DECLARE @return_value int
EXEC @return_value = [dbo].[usp__MyRoutine]
SELECT 'Return Value' = @return_value
GO
When you execute this, SQL Azure returns:
Error #: 40512 — Deprecated feature ‘String literals as column aliases’ is not supported in this version of SQL Server.
Please have SSMS always, regardless of Azure or Local database, modify the output line containing the SELECT to read as follows:
SELECT @return_value AS [Return Value]
Microsoft has solved bigger challenges than this, please ensure that it is corrected in the next bug fix / new version.

This syntax is no longer supported, please try to use 'AS name' instead. For example,
SELECT @return_value AS [Return Value]

Bug fix release ?

Any idea how long we will have to wait for the first bug fix release ?

2-6 months is simply not acceptable. Many of the fixes are real no brainers, can Adobe not afford to pay their programmers? Microsoft releases "serious" bug fixes often within a month of their discovery why can Adobe not keep their users happy by providing regular monthly updates to the product for which they have been paid. I do hope users start taking Adobe to task on these issues.

HT1688 I updated my iPhone 5C to the iOS 7.0.1 "bug fixes" update and it has made my phone glitch constantly and has just made it a complete nightmare. How can I go back down to iOS 7?

basically yeah, I updated my software because it said that iOS 7.0.1 was out as a bug fixes update and now my phone constantly glitches the **** out, its super slow, and it pretty much created more bugs than it did fix them. So how can I go back to iOS 7? because 7.0.1 is an absolute nightmare.

Try updating to iOS 7.0.2.
Does your iPhone still have performance issues? Have you tried the basics?
