Is there a "blur moving object" feature in Premiere Pro 2, like for pixelating a moving face?

Is there a "blur moving object" feature in Premiere Pro 2, like for pixelating a moving face?
When I went to post this question, I put "blur" in the tags, and it offered me a list of tags with the word "blur", including "path blur", which sounds like what I'm looking for, but I a did a search in the PDF manual for Premiere Pro 2, and it didn't find that anywhere.
Thanks,
digi

There is no path option in PP2
If the subject is moving you need to keyframe position over time yourself.

  • I am just moving from FCPx to Premiere Pro

I am just moving from FCPx to Premiere Pro, and one of the things I'll miss with FCPx is all the free wipe's, templates, generators that were availible throught places like FCP.co Forum, is there any kind of free stuff available like this but for Premiere?

I did like working in Premiere Pro for one of my school projects but the rendering time and exporting time for it made me stick with FCPX. It was a 45 second fictional commercial and it took over night to finish.
I'm sure I did something wrong or just not used to working in it. I did do some research about Rendering and from what I've read, people say it's unnecescary to render but could be just preference.

  • Hi, I can't install premiere pro trial version, probably because my Windows 7 is a 32bits edition. Is there any solution or 32b version of Premiere Pro to download?

    Hi,
I can't install premiere pro trial version, probably because my Windows 7 is a 32bits (x86) edition. Is there any solution or 32b version of Premiere Pro to download?

I am sorry , there is no 32 bit version for both Premiere pro cc as well as After Effects cc
You may try CS 4 version , but it is not completely tested with Windows 7 OS. .

  • Premiere Pro 6.02: Error/Freeze when moving clips

After loosing media connections in a current project (http://forums.adobe.com/message/4678615#4678615) here's my next big problem with Premiere Pro 6.02. As soon as I try to move certain clips in a sequence, I get this error message and Premiere Pro freezes:
These clips play fine, but as soon as I try to move them: bang!
I de-installed and re-installed Premiere Pro, but that did not help.

HFS+ Journaled has absolutely no positive effect on individual volumes. It helps data recovery with raid volumes and the OS drive with Time Machine. HFS+ Journaled however does cause allot of issues due to the Meta Data applied to the file system and adds significant performance degrading to drive requests in general. People who use HFS+ Journaled are simply creating far more failure points that will effect their editing experience and time frames. Honestly I see allot of Meta Data based issues on the Mac side in this forum and I would be willing to bet most would go away if the Drives would be formatted to HFS+ Non Journaled and then create a new master directory to copy the data back into to break the Meta Data ties in the volume table. Whether clients follow that advice is up to them. However people cannot hold Adobe at fault for issues caused by partition tables and OS specific functions when there are clear ways those are avoided. If clients are passing Storage media to others that use PC then they definitely want those media formatted HFS+ Non Journaled because right now Mac Drive has allot of issues with that. This is a clear message, to avoid failure follow recommended configuration policies.

  • Is there any way to edit something in Premiere Pro if the (original) file is Windows Moviemaker?

    Hi!
I always work with Premiere Pro CS6. A friend just asked to do a final edit (and export) of her video.
But... she worked with Windows Moviemaker. Is there any way I can change or convert this file so that I can do the final edit in Premiere?

I doubt there's a conversion that will enable you to import/convert a native Moviemaker project file into PP.
You probably know this already, but the only way might be for your friend to export the timeline in a compatible format (AVI or MOV) and import to PP and pick up the edit from that point.
I don't know Moviemaker, but you may be able to export individual video/ audio layers (as AVI or MOV), and reassemble them in PP.
A PITB, but sometimes it's the only way.

  • Premiere Pro CC - Crashes every time by moving images

    Hello,
I got a huge problem using Premiere Pro and its absolutly annoying.
Im working on a project with many (about 40 Images) first .tif now .jpg files all downscaled to 2500px.
I imported them pretty easy and the previews rendered fine. I move them into the timeline add a smooth aperture to it and scale them a bit.
    Boom, Premiere crashes.
There is an error bla bla.
My system requirments are fine. That cant be the problem.
Any suggestions? Cant be real that the app crashes by an so easy call.

  • Mesh like pattern - pixelation - when moving objects on new MBP i7 15"

i call your attention to this archived thread from a while back regarding screen pixelation on MBP. just got 2.80ghz i7 15" and have the exact same problem as posted here
    http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=10489770
anyone have similar issues, is this just the way the screens are now? my previous MBP (less than 2 years old) did not have same problem.
basically, whenever an object is moved around on the screen, you can clearly see a change in resolution with more pronounced/visible pixels.

  • Are there advantages to using Adobe Bridge with Premiere Pro?

I frequently use pictures with my videos.  Normally, I use Windows Explorer with the picture viewer to browse for what I'd like to use.  I've experimented with Bridge, finding it to be a memory hog and slow.  It got me wondering - Are there advantages vs. Windows Explorer?

Bridge can be used to easily add hierarchical keywords to large amounts of clips (and afaik it's the only tool in the Adobe suit that can do hierarchical keywording with video files). Those keywords can then be used to find clips inside of Premiere. On large projects (1000+ clips) that can be a life saver.
Apart from this and the features you mentioned (the cross software color stuff is useless for video as of CS6), I did not find any use to Bridge for video. Plus as you said, it is a memory hog, slow and in my own experience unstable with /  not adapted to video.

  • The new Import Sequence feature causes Premiere Pro CC to CRASH!

*** This was happening before the update, and the update to 7.01 has not fixed this issue.***
I have a series of intros and end slates for a YouTube series.  I (kind of) love the new Import Sequence from Project feature, new in PPr CC.  But more often than not, trying to import a sequence from another project using the Media Browser causes Premiere to crash.  Can anyone else report whether this is NOT working for you, too.  I can imagine scenarios where you either don't use this feature, or haven't gotten around to it since the launch of CC.
Thanks in advance for anyone who is willing to test and verify whether this is a bug.
    Win7 64-bit
    ASUS g75vx Laptop
    i7-3630qm
    NVIDIA GTX-670mx, 3GB GDDR5
    16GB RAM

Well, certainly one of my sequences (let's call it "A") always causes a crash.  Sequence B was NOT causing a crash last week.  Today sequence B started crashing (in 7.0).  So I updated to 7.01 and tried again.  Still crashing (always, now).  So I set out to create a new sequence C.
To create sequence C, I opened a successfully completed project from last week.  I Saved As... "New Opening Sequences".  Next, I cut away every sequence except for the sequence that holds the intro.  I did a Project > Remove Unused to get rid of all the footage, titles, etc.  Now I had a project that only contained Sequence C and it's linked media.  Nothing is offline.  Everything is in tact.
Finally, I open the project I need to finish today.  I need to add the bumper to the front of the video.  So I navigate within the Media Browser to find the "New Opening Sequences" project.  I double click.  I get the yellow, dynamic link-like loading bar.  When the project media, bins and sequences appear, I double-click the sequence I want to impor.... KKKKKEHEHHE!!!  Crash.
I'll restart to get you the exact error message...
WOW!!!  I just left this window open to go get the exact error message for you.  I went through the same steps above.  It worked this time.  So to answer your question, Sequence C is also hit or miss.  This is the first successful attempt today (about 10 previous tries, restarts, etc).
Definitely seems like a bug.  Can anyone else reproduce this crash?
P.S. - Perhaps it's significant, perhaps not:  In all cases, A, B and C, these sequences have Dynamic Linked footage from After Effects (animations).  While they do have some live-action, they are primarily AE animations.  This may help you reproduce the crash.
I'm also not running anything unusual.  Mainly the OS, a browser, Webroot SecureAnywhere (Anti-virus), Premiere.

  • Is there a way to have Greek spelling in Mavericks natively like for other languages

    Γραφο Ελινηκα

Tom, Thank you for showing me how to find Home/Library/Spelling.
I copied the .dic and .aff files (that I had download from Open Office Extensions) into spelling folder.
Unfortunately they did not work in Greek and also disabled the English spellcheck. I have removed them to restore English spellcheck. The problem remains: no Greek spellcheck in Mac Pages.

  • How to desaturate only a moving object???

I am trying desaturate a fast moving object....basically want the person who is moving fast to be in color but everything else desaturated and then vise versa.
Can anyone give me some pointers, I have Color as well if it is easier. I just cant seem to figure this out. All help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks,

Actually, it sounds like you're trying to desaturate everything but the fast moving object... which leads one to ask how you might isolate that...
If everything is moving (including the camera), you're kinda SOL... however, you might be able to use a difference matte filter to get what you're looking for.
Put a copy of your clip on V2, over the same clip on V1. Add a difference matte filter to the clip on V2. Put a clip that's one frame off from your clip into the image well. Things that move slowly will not have much difference frame to frame, things that are moving faster will have more. Adjust your settings so only the moving object generates a mask.
Use color correction on the two clips to achieve your effect...

  • Portfolio Feature in Acrobat pro

There is a create portfolio feature in Acrobat Pro XI that to my suprize work fairly well. But it enables anyone I send it to to extract my files onto their desktop, I'm obviously not a huge fan of that. Is there anyway to disable that feature?

If you can't prevent "Page Extraction" why doesn't Acrobat 10 default back to "Allowed" rather than giving the user a false sense of security?  Isn't this problemtic if the receipient could indeed Page Extract in a Portfolio?

  • Feature Request: Right-Click Zoom (like in Audition)

You can hold down the right mouse button down, select an area, and release to zoom to that region in Audition.
Can we please have this feature in Premiere Pro CC? It would be a huge timesaver, and it won't add any bulk to the interface (in terms of height or width of components).
Imagine zooming into the exact section of the timeline you want with one click & drag of the mouse! It works so well in Audition, I really think it's time to bring it over to Premiere (and After Effects would be cool too, but I'd have to request it there, probably). Navigating the timeline is one of the timesinks of editing. This feature could drastically speed that process up.
Does anyone else want this as much as I do?

Honestly, I feel like feature requests get ignored, unless they have more than one person's support behind them.
Not sure about that. We get Features that no one ever mentioned, discussed or asked for.
Its called 'Feature Creep' and I think there is one from last update being discussed in a Forum near you... right now.

  • AVCHD I'm moving from Mac to Windows I need advise for Transcode

My question is now that I no longer have ProRes422 because I'm now going to switch to a windows machine.  (Company invested into Windows Plugins, is the reason for the switch).  I need to know what format is suggested instead of ProRes.  I want to maintain video integrity and be able to easily edit like I did with prores422.  I can't seem to get a straight answer.  I realize there are many options.  But there has got to be a favorite or a recommended codec for smooth editing in Premiere Pro CC on a windows machine.
I also would love some advice on my workflow below.  Maybe someone could help me be more efficient.
I have a 6 hour event that is recorded with 5 panasonic cameras. AVCC Cam 3CCD HD Cameras.
This was my workflow on the MAC and why.  (I'm looking for advice, I realize I could have done this completely wrong)
All Adobe Products are current version of CC
I do all my Multicam syncing with Red Giant Plural Eyes 3 via the audio waveform matching.
I have a multichannel recorder that records various things in the venue that the cameras all sync to.  .wav
    1.  For my interview segments 1 camera I ingest SD card into Prelude and create sub clips and organize the small clips there and then import and edit in Premiere Pro CC
    2. For my 6 hour long footage.  (4 other cameras).  I have an AVCHD file.  During a 6 hour event while the camera is recording, the panasonic creates up to 24 or more .MTS files.
Note: that sometimes the camera men shut off the camera to change the battery or make an adjustment.I convert the .mts files individually to ProRes 422 for editing.  I don't merge the .mts files together, because when I multi cam sync I want to make sure that each .mts file is an independent file that can be synced via audio waveform.   There is a small overlap of the .mts files.  so each .mts file is it's own camera for the syncing process.  (This is very time consuming)  I would love suggestions on how to make a better workflow for this.
    Thank You

Okay, Ann!  I'm going to give it a try.  I have a great machine; however, Final Cut Pro X said it could handle AVCHD natively as well I also used Premiere Pro CC for mac trying AVCHD.  It hung up and turned my machine into a doorstop whenever, I applied any color  correction or effects.  So it was a really smooth option using an intermediate codec.  I'm willing to give it a shot on my windows machine here;however, many other discussion forums have warned about avchd being highly compressed and not very fun to work with.  I don't mind using an intermediate codec if it makes my job run more smoothly.
