For Tiger, Workgroup Manager (part of the free Tiger Server Admin Tools) offers greatly expanded account management options than what the built-in Parental Controls offers. OS X Server is not required; it works great on the regular OS X.
There was a version for Panther too, but I never tried it, so I don't know if it will do what you need. But the screen shot on the download page suggests that it might. You might want to download it yourself and try it out:

Is there an effective data recovery program for iPod Touch?

I accidently deleted a video and I've tried a couple different data recovery tools and havne't had any luck. Has anyone ever been able to use something that like that and if so what did you use? I'd even be willing to pay a little as it has sentimental value, but I'd like to have a first hand review saying it actually works.

Data Recovery Software for the Zen Vision M:
Has anyone had any success recovering lost sound files from a Vision M, with software, physical repair services, or otherwise? Does anyone claim to be able to recover information from these devices?
The data recovery programs I have tried fail to recognize the dri've, since it doesn't show up in list of dri'ves for some reason (Is there a way to make this show up?). Any suggestions/ recommendations would be greatly appreciated as I lost over a year of recordings after an unexpected forced reformatting. How would one even go about finding someone for this job?

The longer the hard drive remains in use and data are written to it, the greater the risk your deleted files will be overwritten.

I need free network analyzer software for my mac. we are trying to monitor what software may be running which is causing our internet to fail, although the internet is still coming into our modem.what is recommended?

My internet keeps 'tripping' at or around the same period time each day. We have already replaced our modem from our internet provider and we bought a new airport extreme router. We do not believe these were the cause, although we have now ruled them out as a cause. Everytime the internet fails, our internet provider company tells us that there is still plenty of signal coming into our house. There is something going on inside we believe, and a technician set up our Network Utility to run a continuous ping test to capture information about when it 'trips' againn. Yesterday, it happened again, and when he checked the data out, he said he is sure there is something 'running in the background' on my IMac. He advised me to download a free Network Analyzer so he could further investigate what is was that was causing the problem, so I need a free network analyzer software for my Mac. The issue has been going on for a long time, so it is not the new operating system, Lion. This morning, we changed the radio channel from 'auto' to 'manual' and set a new channel, hoping that might help. We are trying to find out what program may be running (even a tiny one in the background) which is causing our internet to fail, although the internet is still coming into our modem. What is free downloadable product is recommended?

Will Activity Monitor and/or Network Utility, both already in the Utilities folder on your Mac, help in trying to diagnose the problem.
If you are connecting via wifi what encryption are you using? If you're using the Exteme I doubt that you are using WEP, but worth checking as it seems Macs don't like it and work better using WPA.

OK before I start, APple has released iTUnes 7, so if this is what you have these programs may not fully work since iTUnes 7 is new and the third party software makers have not had a chance to update there programs.
Now put the ipod into "Manually update"
Then you can use podutil http://www.kennettnet.co.uk/software/podutil.php or yamipod http://www.yamipod.com to copy the files

From a developer standpoint, I would need 50 such dry cleaners ready to buy at $1000 each just to even consider it. I have some time to develop this year. Should I go after 200 million potential customers, a tiny fraction of whom might spend $5-10 apiece, or those 50 dry cleaners. I know that all of those 200 million people are running the correct operating system for my software. How many dry cleaners have Macs and $1000 to spare? I could go cheaper but then I would need more dry cleaners. Why wouldn't they just use some cloud based service instead?
