Is there a SDK for Clipboard?

I was looking at the clipboard kit yesterday and was
really amazed how well it was done. Thanks.
Initially we were thinking to use slide for our WebDAV
application and now it seems that the oracle Clipboard
(mod_oradav) would really deliver what we want to achieve. To evaluate this a little further I would like
to have some questions answered in some fashion.
1. Does anyone have any experience implementing the
open PL/SQL reference for user defined schema?
2. What will it take to implement a user defined Oracle
database connection so that we can extend Clipboard's
servlet to the user defined schema? I was thinking to
implement Navigator and connection wrappers.

One thing to note is that there are many public domain clients for mod_dav that can be used with mod_oradav (cadaver for example, see http://www.webdav.org/ ) Windows explorer also works against mod_oradav (as a web folder). perhaps http://jakarta.apache.org/slide/index.html would have something useful?
Other groups in oracle have implemented custom drivers (PL/SQL) packages for use with mod_oradav. CRM for example, we developed one for use with Oracle Portal.
The clipboard is hard coded to work against the reference implementation.
That being said, the development group would like to make the cliboard and intermedia driver open, so people can fix bugs, modify it etc. Stay tuned...

Is there any SDK for Crystal Enterprise 9?

Hello folks,
Our client is using CE9 for reporting. As upgrade is not convenient this point of time, they requested for Security matrix of current CE9 portal. There are around 700 users, 3000 crystal reports and 60 folders hence it is hectic to update this information manually in excel
I tried to run excel macro which we were using for XI 3.1 but it does not work for CE9.
Please suggest if we have some sdk or any other method to retrieve this information

Any SDK for FM tuner ?

It could be great if there any SDK for tuner of MSI TV @nywhere Master.
So we could make it compatible with Media portal ! (A Free and open source HTPC program).
I think a simple EXE file wich may permit us tuning the fm tuner by executing it with some "swith" (msitunefm.exe /s:96.000) may permit media portal team to make it compatible.

Is there SDK for import function in business view manager?

Every time we deploy crystal objects to customers' environment, we have to import xml files one by one in business view manager. Now I'm working on a c# program(vs2005) to realize importing a batch of xml files. My design is to collect file names from customers first and import them by calling some SDK of import one by one each time. But I could not find such kind of SDKs. All information I got is related to InfoObjects for BOE. Is there SDK for importing xmls in business view manager?

There currently is no SDK for the Business View Manager.

Is there a Java SDK for Siebel Analytics/Oracle BI

Hi, I want to integrate with Siebel Analytics (now known as Oracle Business Intelligence, right?) to our product. Is there a JAVA SDK for Siebel Analytics/Oracle BI? If so, can anyone point me to the right place to get them. Much appreciated.

There is currently no JDK or any other API to work with OBI EE (formerly Siebel Analytics).
The presentation component exposes some functionality via web services.
You can interact with the BI Server via NQCMD so you could build your own application that executes NQCMDs but this is not well documented other than typing NQCMD ? at the command line.
The OBI Metadata is captured in a .rpd file which can be manipulated via UDML but this is not supported - do a search on Google for UDML (which is a proprietary format) for some examples on using this. OWB recently rolled out with some integration with OBI - it accomplishes this by manipulating the .rpd file using UDML.
The Oracle folks monitor this forum. If you can reply with some specifics as to what you want to accomplish, I'm sure they will consider your needs if they decide to publish an API.

Where can I get Acrobat SDK for Visual Studio 6.0?

Several years ago, I purchased the Adobe Acrobat SDK for
VS 6.0. It has since been misplaced or deleted.
Where can I obtain another copy?

There are legacy programs out there written in VB 6.0
Unfortunately, my client is not willing to spend the thousands of dollars it would cost for us to convert all that code to .NET
I don't expect Adobe to provide support for the VB 6.0 SDK.
I just need to get another copy of it.

How to print screen & recommendations for clipboard extenders?

How do i print screen on my new iMac & can you recommend clipbaord extenders similar to the PC products Clipmate or SnagIt??
As you can guess I'm a PC convert. Just got my new 24" iMac on the weekend and trying to get back to productivity. LOVE the product generally.

SDK for Instant Client not available?

Hello all,
I'm new to using Oracle and I successfully setup my first 11XE install last week. I'm excited to begin using it but I can't get the OCI driver to compile so I can use it in PHP.
I have the linux/amd64 Instant Client 10.1 from the Oracle website but it does not have the headers file.
The docs say I need SDK for Instant Client but it is not listed on the downloads page for Instant Client. The docs also say there is a 11.1 version of IC but no trace of that either.
Is there another page which has all of these files?
I get as far as this in the configure script: "checking for oci.h... configure: error: I'm too dumb to figure out where the include dir is in your instant client install"

You could search the 'net for instant client downloads x86-64, click relevant link, search page for SDK. Versions from 11.2, 11.1 and 10.2 releases should exist on found page.

Can I use Publications SDK for merging PDFs?

Hi,
Can i use Publications SDK for merging PDFs.? Logically i think it should be possible.
Scenario:- PDFs will be the report output format for webI, Crystal etc. I will query the repository and get the PDF instances from various BO Reports. Can i use this PDFs as input for Publications SDK? Is there any known limitations?

Can you please provide a brief description on 'There's an out-of-the-box post-processing extension that merges PDF from Crystal.'
I'm already using Itext. but it is a costly affair as PDF file size is an issue (200 single page PDF results in 8 MB). And seems like there is no otherway around in Itext to compress PDF.
About using WebI and Crystal together, I will export PDF from these and give those PDF as input for Publications.Then it should work. Right?

I believe there's something floating around the web that can read AI files from AI7 or earlier, but nothing for anything after that.

Use vCloud SDK for Java to integrate with vCD 5.6

Hello Folks,
         Newbie here.
         I have a situation where a home grown app, that uses vCloud SDK for Java to invoke a vCloud Director 5.1 installation. We use this for powering on/ off a few VMs.
         Our installation is being upgraded from vCloud Director 5.1 to 5.6.
         My question is, are we expected to upgrade/ carry out any code changes to our current implementation to integrate with the newer runtime version (5.6)?

Somewhat going from memory here.
As long as the REST API Versions URL states that it is compatible with 5.1, then you should be fine to make the calls as v5.1.
Here is the section of the documentation for that:

The I think the SDKs are just wrappers in a manner of speaking. They all eventually translate code (java/python/etc) into a REST API system that is sent into vCloud Director via the API. For the most part, I think it'll work.
That's not talking about "support", just that it should work with some exceptions. I don't know if there is an official stance on cross compatibility like this.

We have begun working with the Microsoft PlayReady Client SDK for android v3.0 and on android 4.4 + we are experiencing the following problems on a nexus 7 (Android 4.4.4) and another nexus 7 (Android
5.0)
Doing a seekTo(new position), getDuration is returning a wrong value.
Changing audio on .ismv with multiple audio tracks results in bad/random performance on progress of the video and general instability in playback
Are these known issues and if so is there a known workaround or a scheduled date for a fix?

One thing, the class files are all compiled into the swf and therefore they are not used at runtime. You do not need to upload to the server or anything. So one less thing to consider when you debug your issue
As for the paths, Flash will use the host HTML location as the base path once embedded so it's best to use loaderInfo.url (always the location of the swf) to construct your paths relative to the swf.

There is not actual SDK to download, its in your installation already. The JavaDoc of all classes are in \doc.11122\javadoc in the ZipFile, http://download.oracle.com/docs/cds/E50612_01.zip (From page: Oracle Enterprise Gateway). There is an online documentation including a tutorial at http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E39820_01/doc.11121/gateway_docs/content/general_filter.html
There should be some simple pre-made filters with source code somewhere but I think you might need to contact support to get your hands on those as I can't find them.
