I have personal information and bank records in my bookmarks. My daughter and son inlaw are moving back home so expect they will use my cpu. Iwant these things to remain private ie lock them out of my bookmarks your help would be appreciated thank you.

I want seperate Bookmarks for separate users too. I do not fully understand how I protect my Windows account for each user. I come from AOL where each user logged in independently and had their own 'favourites'. At the moment my Bookmarks are all lumped together - thanks

Well, you missed something somewhere. If there is no
ALTER SESSION SET CURRENT_SCHEMA=whoeverthen there must be either public synonym for the object as this shows:

On the old computer, choose Go to Folder from the Finder’s Go menu, provide ~/Library/Safari/ as the path, and move the Bookmarks file to the corresponding location on the new one.

I have quite a few bookmarks in my current default browser (CM Browser) and don't relish the thought of manually recreating them all. I also want to keep them organized by categories. The folder system is very helpful.

The permission model for Android does not allow other apps access to their settings. Chrome and the Android stock browser have some special access rules that allow other apps to see the bookmarks. So it is only possible to import bookmarks from Chrome or the stock Android browser.

Is there a way to migrate data from one user account to another simply?

Recently one of our employees has left the company. This user had pertinent images saved to their profile and we are needing to migrate those images to a new profile (Kiosk) so users can access the needed files. In InDesign I'm told it pulls file paths in order to pull up different images and documents. Is there a way to transfer these files without breaking InDesign? Or is there a simple way to recreate the file paths in InDesign so that we may move the user's information to a new account and recreate the file paths as soon as possible.

If the book is in .epub or .pdf format and does not have any DRM, you should be able to add it to iBooks by just dragging the file into the app or using a menu item (Add Books or something similar).

Is there a way to convert bookmarks from opening as Fit Width size to Fit Page without doing each one individually?

I have a document that has a number of bookmarks already in it. I cannot figure out how to change their behavior when clicking on them unless I change each one one at a time. There are 822 pages and at least that many bookmarks. Any way to tell Acrobat to make them all open in a fit page view instead of the Fit Width they are in now? Save me a ton of time. Thanks for any help. Using Acrobat Pro XI on a Mac...standalone application...not in the cloud.

You can go to View> Zoom> Fit Width and the setting will be applied to the complete pdf.

After a HD crash I reconstructed from Time Machine. Somehow I created multiple users and the data is different. I'd like to eliminate the user accounts and get to just a single user. Anything there?

Is there a way to use music from multiple users itunes libraries on one iMac for a slideshow in Aperture?

I am trying to put together a slide show for a trip my wife and I took to England. I would like to be able to use music from both our itunes libraries in the slide show. I am using Aperture to create the slide show since it seems to be more versatile than iPhoto for this. Only trouble is that when I log into my username on the iMac I only see my iTunes library and similar when logging into her username. We have different music but would like to use some from each library in the slide show.

You can only use one library at a time in an Aperture slideshow, so I'd suggest to simply collect the audio that you want to use in a folder (export the songs from both iTunes Libraries) and then import this folder to Aperture. Now you have a project containing the audio files; you will see it in the Aperture Audio section of the audio Browser, right above the iTunes section.
You can use the Apperture audio just like the audio in iTunes to drag to the timeline of your slideshow.

Unfortunately when upgrading to iOS 6 the setting to add Facebook Contacts to your Contacts app is on by default. But once the upgrade is complete you can go to:
Settings > Facebook > and turn off Contacts.
That will get rid of the Facebook stuff showing up in your Contacts app.
BTW, I also turned off Calendar on my iPhone and iPad so that Facebook events and Friend's birthdays etc. will not show in my Calendar app.

Shot videos ONLY in landscape. For photos choose what's you like. Maybe you have to rotate photos on PC. What's your operating system?
