Computer not responding...help I am out of Canada and don't know what to do, no backup, no disks...
My computer has been off for a week and a half and worked just fine on July 4th before turning off. Turned it on last night, look like it started fine and like everything loaded, but then I tried to click on something and no response, or it would have the little colorful circle just keep spinning and would freeze in 'thinking'. Then I turned off, let sit for a bit and turned back on, and stayed at white screen, turned off again, and it did the same as before. Turned off for the night, charged it over night, tried again this morning, same story.
What should I do, I have been in Europe for 3 months, now in Ireland for 3 weeks before back in Canada.
I Know very little ... but ... is it a laptop?
.. assuming it is .. had similar problem ...
.. on "sevice call" ... took battery out to see serial number ... reinstalled ... presto ... service call was unnessary...

HELP. I have 2 TC and don't know what to do
I have a First Generation Time Capsule and just upgraded to a new 4th generation TC. I'm wondering if I can use my old 1st generation TC as my back up for time machine and my new TC would be my wiif/inernet for my iTunes and a media server for my Apple TV. And if I can how does one set this up?
A TC makes a lousy media server..
It has no form of backup to protect files you place there.. you will need to run the files back to a computer... so you may as well just use the computer as the media centre. And the tc for backups.. as it was designed for.
Then your media will get backed up by time machine and you probably need the new one for the extra disk space.
If you want to run both.. just bridge on or the other.. ie nominate one as the router.. I gather your current series 1 is doing that.. in the second one, go to the internet tab and select connection sharing off..bridged.. that will make the second TC connect as a slave to the first.
This is assuming you connect them by ethernet which is, IMHO the only right way.. you can link the by wireless.. and get half speed of your wireless if you really like. -

lots of people seem to be havgin a problem sending email from iCloud webmail.
does your email address have uppercase characters in it?
if so, try creating an alias in lowercase (go to preferences in iCloud webmail and select 'accounts') and see if email sends okay from that -

It's Orientation Lock, which will kee the screen from rotating when you rotate the device.
It's accessible from Command Center- swipe up from the bottom of the screen. You should see the icon to turn Orientation Lock on or off. -
what is an smpt password? I have problems sending photos using the stamp at the bottom because it asks for some smpt password and I have no clue to find out what it is, how to set one of find one if I somehow put one in and don't know what it it.
It's the password for your outgoing mail in your Mail account. You need to set it up in your Preferences.

I was checking my SDHC cards to see which ones had already been downloaded to my computer and sudenly after I inserted one of the cards an anouncement poped out telling me Aperture had trouble importing many files... since this card had already been downloaded in one of my projects and had been working on some of the pictures I did not mind and took the card out and formated it in my camera (as I said before all the pictures had been downloaded before!) and I went to work on Apperture. When I opened the project I was going to work in I found lots of pictures missing!
I don´t know how to recover this pictures or if it can be done!
This is my most important project to date!
I will greatly appreciate any help.

I will try to be more specific:
I inserted my memory card and opened Aperture. I Pressed import and chose an existing project as a destination after choosing only the pictures I wanted to keep for imediate use (done this same precedure before). The importing procedure started and everything was "normal" but the "procesing" indicator (the spinning circle in the low left corner) never stoped (even the day after) so I quit Aperture,turned of my computer and took out the memory card.
Later I restarted my computer, oppened Aperture and saw all the pictures I wanted there, I even made versions and worked on some of them and everything was fine so far... The big problem came when I was cheking my memory cards -days later- to erase some of them for reuse and to make a back up copy of the full card in a diferent folder on the desktop of my computer (as I told before In Aperture only downloaded some pictures) and inserted the card that presented the continus "procesing" inconvinience: Somehow it created a link to Aperture and a notification poped telling me that some files where unable to download...
Since I had already seen and worked with the files in Aperture I thought the message was a mistake (the files had been imported ok before!) so I took out the card and reformated it in my camera (BIG MISTAKE!) and for my surprise when I wanted to work with this files and their versions and opened Aperture all of them were gone as If they had never been imported!
I opened the back up folder on my desktop just to find none of the files was saved there even though the downloading had run fine...
I tried to restore my Aperture library from Time Machine this morning but I think I made another BIG MISTAKE when answered to replace my library instead of keeping both... I found some files replaced, none of the diferent versions I had done, some files missing, some foulty tumbnails and God knows what else...
I´m very frustrated and disapointed and don´t know if there is anything I can still do to recover my files...
I don´t know if I should blame Apple´s Aperture or the card´s manufacturer for the origin of this problem but how can I trust my work to this combination of factors?

I don't know if I already asked the question so here I go again. I have previously downloaded public library audiobooks thru overdrive media console successfully hundreds of times on old ipod touch. I just got another Ipod touch and I must have pushed wrong button somewhere because when I try to transfer the title from overdrive media to ipod a box pops up saying...

It sounds like you are having trouble installing the iOS 8 update. I would start by restarting your iPhone:
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on the top of your device until the red slider appears. Then drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.
If you are still unable to update the phone, you can also update it with iTunes on your computer:

Lately I have been trying to download some apps but when i click install, the appstore comes up with a message saying that my apple ID can't be used in the iTunes store. This has hever happened to me before and when I go to the settings and the Appstore, then click see Apple ID, it doesn't open. Please help, I don't know what to do. Is this a bug from iOS7.0.4???
