How is the first page hidden by the other page? Where are you experiencing this problem? In iWeb's window or in the browser window of the published site?
Are you referring to the page's link in your navbar? If so check the Inspector/Page/Page pane for the "hidden" page and make sure it's set to be included in the navbar. If that's not the problem describe in detail what you mean and include any screenshots you can make of the problem.
As far as the longevity of iWeb read the following:

Currently if the site is published directly from iWeb to the 3rd party server the RSS feed and slideshow subscription features will work. However, if the site is first published to a folder on the hard drive and then uploaded to the sever with a 3rd party FTP client those two features will be broken.
All of these features can be replaced with 3rd party options.
There's another problem and that's with iWeb's popup slideshows. Once the MMe servers are no longer online the popup slideshow buttons will not display their images.

However, Roddy McKay and I have figured out a way to modify existing sites with those slideshows and iWeb itself so that those images will display as expected once MobileMe servers are gone. Is there a way to monitor Time Machine's current backup task?

I started a second Time Machine backup to a NAS yesterday (in addition to my local TM Backup, which will now be taken offsite). It took a good 24hrs to finish, which was expected over WiFi. Since the initial backup, all the hourly backups have seemed normal...20-80 MB or so. Then all of a sudden this morning, I noticed the backup was taking longer than usual. I think it was indicating something around "1.09 GB of 1.09 GB", which seemed like a lot. I checked again, and the latter number had increased...something like "2.10 GB of 2.10 GB". I'm not running a VM, and there are no other obvious reasons the backup would be so big. I figured I'd let it go. I checked back again 30mins later and it was up to 69.1 GB of 69.1 GB.
So what's going on here? TM typically knows exactly how much it needs to backup before it starts copying files. Why would the latter number continue to go up, particularly when there's no obvious reason for the extra data to backup?
I tried opening the .inprogress pkg, but the folder size calcs weren't nearly fast enough for me to see where the backup was going. I tried the fseventer app, but it didn't seem very clear where files were being copied from; I could see where they were being placed, but since the backup is encrypted, backupd was writing to slices in the sparseimage, rather than an obvious hiearchy.
Is there a way to monitor the files that TM is currently backing up...say in real time? Is there a debug logging mode for the backupd? Or is there a log of the files that were copied in the last backup? I'd prefer to see this in real time, so that last option would be least useful.
I've poked through the great resources over at pondini.org, but nothing seems to really cover a backup that's in progress.

p.s. I finally ended up stopping the really long backup; rebooted; restarted the backup manually, and this time it was a much more managable 500 MB. Additionally, I could see that during the final "cleaing up" stage, it removed the huge .inprogress file.

Choose Connect to Server from the Finder's Go menu, provide the first computer's IP address, log in, and set it up in the Time Machine pane of System Preferences.

MDS switch: DCNM: Is there a way to monitor the traffic on every port within a port channel using DCNM?

I am trying to monitor the load on an 8 port ISL between 2 MDS FC switches, on DCNM.
Since it is a plain trunk link, I am able to monitor the stats of every ISL port individually.
My question is, since port channel shows up as a single interface on DCNM, is there a way to monitor the per port utilization in that port channel?

Thanks for the update! If anyone else has the same question, the answer is that in order to extract the bus log information in the TDMS file, you should use the DIAdem Bus Log Converter tool. It is expected (though confusing) that the file looks mostly empty in the Data Portal until you use this tool to extract the information.
Also, this is a fantastic tutorial from a very bright engineer on how to correlate data from multiple sources, such as raw frame files, in DIAdem. Highly recommended reading. It also has some data on the bus log converter.

Chances are the pinnacle is producing .avi files or MPEFG1/2 streams - iTunes may know how to decode the audio but not the video. Download Handbrake and try running the Pinnacle files through it and adding to iTunes - use Universal format unless you have a specific device in mind.
Keep copies of the originals.
Another option might be to try to install Perian. Can't remember if the Apple MPEG2 plugin allows MPEG2 to be played in iTunes.

In Firefox Options / Privacy be sure "Remember download history" is checked. To see all of the options on that panel, "Firefox will" must be set to "Use custom settings for history".
To find your OS information, on your Windows desktop, right-click the My Computer icon, choose Properties, under System on that small window is info about your OS.

Let's say I have a very simple server that only handles one request at a time... A request arrives for a webpage including a piece of some server-side script (that may contain an infinite loop). My server parses the request and starts executing the corresponding script in a new thread. Now, I could do join(timeout) on this thread and then call stop() if the script is still executing... the problem is that stop() is depricated and thus it feels like the wrong approach. But what are my alternatives?

You never want to expose functionality to a client that could put you into an infinite loop or kill your system somehow.

The best alternative is not to run anything that you aren't confident at compile time will return in finite time.
Another alternative that I do not recommend is that there is a debug API... I forget the name - something used in IDEs to get the state of threads + mem, etc. Honestly, I don't think that even that will allow you terminate a thread, but you might want to look into it.

I see odd charges like 50MB when I am sure I was not using my phone. Certainly, I would remember using 50MB, that is watching roughly 50 min of video.

I believe I may have found the culprit for me... It's one of two things - not sure which one (maybe a combination of both) since I did both at the same time. I just wanted to avoid data overnight, and not have to constantly turn off Cellular Data (if I didn't have to).
For 3-4 nights, I left Cellular data off, just to prove the data reported early morning wasn't data deferred from earlier in the day. Sure enough, if turning off Cellular Data overnight, no mysterious data showing up early morning.
Then I did these two things:
1) Plugged iP4 into iTunes, CTRL-click on iphone and do 'Reset Warnings', then CTRL-click again and hit 'Sync', and then the "would you like to send Apple crash reports, bla bla bla"... hit "Disagree"
2) go to http://oo.apple.com using your iPhone (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4228)
After doing those two things, I started leaving Cellular Data ON over the last couple of nights.
Low and behold - at worst, 1-2MB overnight and that's from some emails that came in overnight. No huge 40-50MB chunks, or even 100+MB chunks which I've also had...
I don't know which of the two did it, or maybe a combination of both. I don't really care, all I wanted is to eliminate any "unapproved by ME" data being transferred overnight without my knowledge or consent. Seems to be working so far after two nights. Will continue to monitor obviously.

You need to use a combination of tables and function modules.
Table TBTCO contains list of jobs with job status 'S' for scheduled
Table TBTCP contains the program name and variant scheduled in that job
you need to use a function module to know the chain name using the above program name and variant.
I have written a sample code to do this. feel free to change it as per your needs.

Is there a way to control which processes should run or not ?

I have a mac with Snow Leopard and was wondering if there was an app or some other way to control which processes run at startup and which dont etc ? I made a new user account and logged in and noticed that it ran like brand new. It loaded up faster and smoother than my normal account. I looked at the processes running and noticed that this new account loads up like a 4th of the processes my main account runs at startup . How can i make my main account run the same processes only so it will run as smooth and fast ? is there an app for this ? thanks (an app that also tells me what each process is for will help too so i can close the processes that i dont need and so that i dont have to close them every time i reboot, but that it will also stop them from automatically loading)

most of the apps that would run at login (which btw is different from startup) automatically are things in the login items. there may be a few items in homedirectory/library/lauchagents but that would be the only place. other than that what runs at login on one account will run on the other. note however, that if you remove any launchdaemons from homedirectory/library/lauchagents the apps that made them may not work properly depending on what those launch daemons do.
what 50 other processes are you referring to that you see on your main account? most of the stuff you see in the activity monitor are system processes that should not be removed. normally they hardly consume any CPU or RAM.

Tcodes swiX offer a way to monitor wf in runtime from a view of technically. But I need a way to trace the process of WF from the view of business for user. For example, is there a way to find a WF in processing by its initiator, or certain elements in workflow container, or its workitem receiptor? My client wants to monitor their process by a key user.
I also want to know the tables which store the basic data of WF, such as its runtime status, instance, templates, initialization date, container infomation and so on. Maybe I can find some business infomation from those tables.
