Is there a way to suppress the "dll missing message box" when OraOLEDBpus11.dll is missing?

Hi,
We are working on a .net windows service program. In one code path, we will create an oracle oledb connection to an oracle database using ado.net provider over oledb.
We use oracle oledb provider (11g, 64bit) but we found when the path was configured incorrectly, a message box of "OraOLEDBpus11.dll is missing" would pop up. Since it's a windows service, the dialog box can't be seen and thus blocked the whole process.
We would like to know if it is possible to suppress this message box. And how can we suppress it?

Is there a way to obtain the text item's value when the mouse pointer at? Mouse pointer may be located somewhere out of current record and even out of current block.

There is a when-mouse-over trigger and that works fine in client-server mode for Forms 5/6/6i, but that is less indicated when deployed using Application Server.
In that trigger you may write whatever code is necessary, restricted package procedures.
Still, I think, for your case, if you do not have to deal with a multi-record block, you should use the HINT property for that item and set_item_property with the HINT argument for that item in order to set the hint to the item's value - this should set_item_property should be called on the when-new-record-instance .

Is there a way to stop the brightness from going up when alarm goes off?

I have an iPhone 5s running iOS 7.0.6. I plug it in at night next to my bed and use it as an alarm clock. I am running the NiceClock app because it has a great black background with slim red clock numbers (doesn't throw a lot of glare). I am using the built-in Clock app that comes with the current iOS as the alarm (NiceClock, while great for a simple bedside clock with no glare, does not come with an alarm). I set my iPhone's brightness on the lowest possible setting to keep the backlight glare down. It's great. Low glare, and I can still see the time if I wake up in the middle of the night without having to fumble with the iPhone. My problem is when the alarm goes off the brightness level jumps up to maximum. Is there a way to prevent the brightness level of the iPhone from changing when the alarm goes off?

Yes the calendar is gone. I guess it is the notification center I am referring to that comes down when I accidently swipe the top of the screen. Is there a way to stop of notification center from coming down if you swipe the screen? I figured out how to stop the control center from coming up if you swipe the bottom on the screen. In fullscreen mode (F11), when moving the mouse toward the top of the screen to display the tabs & stuff, the page displayed is shifted down. This makes it annoying when returning down with the mouse - you want to reach a certain link, for example, but your target gets shifted up once the tabs & stuff is hidden back.
Is there any way to make the tabs & stuff display 'above' the page content, like on another layer?

I am working on an enterprise wiki site collection, and for the versioning setting i defined that the content requires approval, and any user can see the pending pages. so when users add/edit a wiki page they will get the following message at the top of

so my question is how i can modify the message text, because i defined that any user can read the pending pages, so the default warning text become misleading "Visitiors can not see this page until it is approved.."?.

Changing that message would change it everywhere in the farm, which is probably not what you want. I would suggest creating a short JQuery script that executes on page load and swaps out the message in the DOM to what you want the message
to say. That way you can do it only within the context of your Enterprise WIKI.

We have created a report, in Oracle Reports Builder (Developer 10g - v9.0.4.0.33) and do not want the parameter form to show when the report runs. We have removed the check from the box in the preferences => runtime settings => parameter form, but a parameter form is always rebuilt at runtime of the report.
The report is run through a third-party aplication menu system (FAMIS) and we have no control over the command line that runs the report.

Does your 3rd party application allow you the flexibility to use your own libraries, etc? I know we have an app where we needed to create our own Oracle Form libraries in order to do this exact thing. Other then having access to the URL to take out the "+paramform=yes", I'm not sure what else there is.

I'd rather not have the message "Russ Conte has invited you to ..." as the message that is sent out for each invitation. Is there a way to change that without having to go in and change every single time it is used? Is there a preference for the text that is used, so I can edit it to be what I want?

Ctrl-click on the iCal.app file in Applications and select Show Package Contents. Locate the English.lproj folder in the Resources folder of the Contents. Find file ITIP.strings and make a duplicate (so we can restore if things go badly). Open ITIP.strings with a text editor (BBEdit, TextEdit or whatever you use yourself). Scroll down to find

The text that is used (and that you can change) is the text to the right of the "=". You may need to restart iCal after saving any changes. It is quite possible that your changes, if they work, will not survive software updates.

When moving the endpoints of lines while creating a presentation, a size and position readout appears on the screen. This obscures details below it, often making it difficult to precisely position a line. Is there a way of disabling this? The option in Preferences for disabling this readout for objects does not work for lines. Is this a bug, or am I missing something?
