Is there an API to export an application?

I noticed the API to install an application. However, I would like to export a page, or an application using the API. Is this possible?

No, there is no Java API specific for RDF functionality available. However, Java client applications can use JDBC to access the RDF store. A partially relevant post is at How do you query Oracle RDF database using Java program? . The JDBC documentation will have detailed documentation on using JDBC.

Are there any APIs to create an Invoice in Oracle Payables?

Hi,
We have a requirement to import the invoices from the operational systems. We will be making approximately 7,000 checks a day. We need to import all these payments information into Oracle Payables as Invoices and then process the payments out of Oracle payments module. We are on EBS 12.1.1
Were there any APIs to create the invoices directly in Payables as it comes from custom application? We could use payables open interface but as we would like to integrate the payables module with custom application it would be nice if invoice creates directly in Payables through APIs.

Copying or exporting an application - bug? LOVs not getting set in reports

Hi all, I apologize if this has been on here before, I thought I may have seen something about it before, but my search turned up empty.
When I copy an application, or export/import it -- it seems all the LOV based items in my reports (IR or otherwise I think) don't get set. For example if I have a query returning a data value back as 1 or 2, and I have an LOV to translate that to 1 = Male, 2 = Female -- and I have it set to display the value of the LOV for the value -- that is seemingly getting lost in the copy.
It's extremely painful to have to go to my new copied app and set everything manually again. And this is horrendous for an import/export from dev/test/production moving.
Any thoughts/ideas how to resolve? Is it an APEX bug?

I just upgrade to 4.0.2 in hopes it would solve my problem, but unfortunately it doesn't. What could it be about my app? Again, here's what is happening: it seems that anywhere I'm using a "display based on LOV" column in a report (maybe just on IRs, can't find any on non IR reports) -- when I either export/import my app, or simply copy it in the same workspace, the Named LOV attribute is not set in the copy/import -- so the reports don't show my display values.
Could it be something about my LOVs? Maybe I should try to recreate some of them?
I wonder is there somewhere in the export file that I could look to see what's missing/going on? Weird thing is that when I ran a copy of my app, there was at least ONE report column that as showing correctly, but when I go and edit that column, I can see the LOV is NOT selected, and I can't save it without selecting one! So it's very strange, and unfortunately 4.0.2 doesn't solve it.
I'll have to try to create a new lov and do a test. But this is a big deal because I can't move my app to from DEV to TEST or PROD if I have to go into it afterwards and change all the LOV based columns. I suppose a work-around would be to change all my queries to get the display value themselves instead of relying on the LOVs....I wonder if that would be more or less efficient?
No one else has seen this issue?

What a developer is allowed to do is different depending on whether they are writing code to run in a container or not. The container already provides lots of services so some code you would write for outside a container is not needed when you write for a container. There are APIs that you are not allowed for in container code if you want to adhere to the spec.

Work Manager API in Sun Java Application Server 8.1

I am trying to build a parallel application using Work Manager api (javax.resource.spi.work.WorkManager;)
I studied the Websphere implementation of WorkManager there you need to make JNDI lookup for work manager and then use it to submit the work.
My question is if i make class which will implement the javax.resource.spi.work.WorkManager; interface and use that class to submit the work and execute it in parallel then will that class will handle the resource management and all j2ee services
Do we have separate implementation of work manager API for Sun Java Application Server 8.1 (any jar like asynch.jar in IBM websphere) so that we will just create a work manager using admin console and make JNDI lookup and use it

Before I start, disclaimer -- I have no knowledge of Hibernate and the following comments are based on the stack trace you have included.
I think your permissions might be set all right but you might have an error in the hibernate query. It looks like hibernate uses antlr to parse the queries. While parsing the query, antlr is encountering an exceptional condition and is trying to exit the VM (by calling System.exit()). Obviously, the hibernate code does not have that permission and therefore the exception is logged.
My guess is if you fix the query such that hibernate/antlr can parse it, you will not run into this error.

Are there any APIs to load FND and other objects

We are having HR2HR configured and running between EBS R12.1.3 and Fusion. But the HR2HR does not bring in data in EBS like in Descriptive Flex Fields (DFF), User Defined Tables (UDT), Extra Information Types (EIT) & Lookups. How can we bring in this data in to Fusion. Are there any APIs? If not what is the Support model from Oracle if we are directly updating the tables?

API to Start / Stop Applications or to perform NWA like operations

Hello,
is there an API available that enables me to start and stop deployed ears programmatically?
Or more generally asked, is there a way to perform the same actions that are possible with the NWA, e.g. modify web service ports, deploy applications and so on.

Yes there is. I am trying to use it right now.
It is the DeplyService interface (com.sap.engine.services.deploy.DeployService) which is contained in the deploy.sda.
You can use it to start/stop applications, remove applications, deploy applications, etc.

Export of application will not include users

If export an application the export doesn't seem to include all the users I have created for the application or really the workspace. Is there a way to export those users and import them into another workspace (same name and same number)

I assume you're talking about the built-in APEX users? They will be exported as part of the Workspace export rather than the Application export.

If you want to delete old data automatically, I think you need develop this feature by yourself. You could code the logic methods on your project, and set a timer to execute the methods to delete old data. It is almost guaranteed that schema creations will not (like creating a table.)
