Is there any need to start the Adobe Document Service in Functionality Overview in SAP NW 7.4.

Hi All,
Actually I am using SAP Net weaver 7.4 and Adobe document services 7.4 SP8.
While doing the ADS configuration in SAP Netweaver Administrator is there any need to Start the Adobe Document Services in Functional Overview and the current runtime status for ADS is Dependency has issues.
In Configuration Tasks tab can I execute the Configuration of the Adobe Document Services is a hub via Configuration Wizard and current status is Not executed.
Please find the attachment for your reference.

I used to save everything in AOL for Mac OS X, both emails and things I'd written, until AOL came out with a completely different application and I realized that eventually I wouldn't be able to run the old AOL. Before my last upgrade, from 10.5 to 10.6, I thought I was going to lose the old AOL, so I did convert a bunch of files to Word or pdf or both, and more recently I've converted some others, but I have something like 15 years worth of correspondence and other items, so it would be difficult to convert them all.

4. Use this user in the Web Service Security

Why do we have to create a new user for the server which is consuming the web service? We already have an user "ADSUser" defined for the Web AS server which has ADS services deployed.
I have opened this thread to solve the previous unanswered question I posted on SDN Empty area in place of Interactive form. .
One more thing the adobe print forms of ESS [Total Compensation Statement and Salary Statement] are rendering properly, only the ones with Interactive ability or not.

 - On the right had pane you will find the link to the NW04s Configuration guide
2. The link that you have mentioned below details the steps required to be carried out on the client machine that consumes the Adobe Document Services. In our case that is the j2ee engine on which your Web Dynpro application is running. It could be the same physical machine with two different j2ee instances hosting Web Dynpro and ADS or it could be two different physical machine or a single machine having a single instance of j2ee engine hosting both the Web Dynpro and the ADS.
You do not have to create a separate username and a password on the consuming machine but you need to configure the Web Service client proxy to point to the ADS (maybe hosted on a different machine) with the username and the password created on the ADS server. As you have mentioned, you have already created such an user on the ADS (ADSUser). This user authentication on the client machine (consuming server - Web Dynpro) would be required at the runtime by the j2ee engine to authenticate itself with the ADS.

I had received message:

Is there any way to limit the number of RFC calls from xMII to SAP R/3

I wanted to know whether the number of simultaneous RFC connections made from xMII to SAP R/3 system can be controlled in any way. Suppose we have a scenario wherein some million Sales Orders or Production Orders are to be updated in SAP R/3 from xMII in a short span of time. For all these updations to take place, multiple RFC calls will be established from xMII to SAP at the same time. This will increase the load on the SAP R/3 system and affect performance of the SAP R/3 system. Is there any check on xMII side to limit the number of RFC calls that can be made to SAP R/3 system?

If you are using 11.5 just keep in mind that the JCO connection points to a single application server (based upon the SAP Server alias connection settings), but the traffic itself to make a BAPI request is effectively the same as any client user traffic. There will obviously be limitations on performance and throughput, with network and server constraints added to the number and size of the R/3 requests, but there is no magic formula to plug-in because of all of these variables.
If you are using 12.0 (or plan to migrate when it goes GA) then taking advantage of the JRA (java resource adapter) and the associated application server pooling that it offers on the NetWeaver side of things will greatly help you in the throughput capacity.
If you have put some of your xMII application into either test or productive use and are running into issues then I would highly recommend entering the specifics into the customer / partner support portal so that they can help you through any associated problems.

If you're running 10.9.4 (Mavericks) and you have no need to revert to the earlier version of OS X (Mountain Lion) you can delete it. However, you may want to make a copy of it on to an external DVD or USB stick first 'just in case'. It may save you another 5gb+ download in the future if you ever did find you wanted to revert to Mountain Lion.

Running Adobe Document Services

Hello,
We are looking at a project that will require the use of Adobe Interactive forms. In looking at the requirements for this, I see that we need to run the Adobe Document Services (ADS). The ADS runs on the SAP Java AS. In reviewing the SAP Product Availability Matrix (PAM) it looks like running the ADS on the iSeries platform is not available. I am curious if anyone else on this group uses Adobe Document Services and if so, what does your system landscape look like to run this?

A few questions regarding the configuration of Adobe Document Services

For Your Information: the main questions are repeated at the end of this post.
The Adobe Document Services seems to work fine. The test I did on http://<server>:<port>/AdobeDocumentServices/Config gives the error
' "Required stream: "PDFDocument" not found. ' so that's fine.
But when I do this: http://server:50000/webdynpro/dispatcher/local/TutWD_OnlineInteractiveForm/OnlineInteractiveFormApp
The result: the PDF is shown and I can enter text in the textboxes and also use the radioboxes.
But I can't use the dropdownboxes, neither can I use the "submit" and "check" buttons..
Is this normal? Or is it because of the ReaderRights credential?
Or is it necessary to install the ACF?
Here is some info I got from a blog:

-The SLD is okay, it doesn't need to be configured
-The Adobe Lifecycle Designer is automatically installed when installing the Netweaver Studio Sneak Preview SP16

Any Report that updates the GR document number of R/3 to SRM

Can any one tell me is there any reoprt that updated the GR numbers of R/3 to SRM
Because I have done the confirmations in SRM ( 4.0) it created a confirmation number but the shoppingc art history is not updated with the GR document number .
Similiar to like CLEAN_REQREQ_UP is there any report that updates the GR document number in the frontend. And also any table for this like BBP_DOCUMENT_TAB for watching the GR entry till the time it gets cleared.

My concern is when I do the confirmations in the SRM the shopping cart history is updated with Confirmations number and i can see the status as approved but I am not able to find the GR number besides the confirmations number in the shopping cart history.
ours is SRM ver 4.0. what could be the problem. when I do the GR from backend and wait for some time the GR document number is getting updated.
But once after i do the confirmation in the frontend it should automatically post a GR is the backend and
update the shopping cart history with GR document number which is not happening
Do I need to check the idoc for this? if so where do i need to check in SRM or in R/3? because this is in quality system as i doing the testing part.
So please provide me some solution for this.

Add Subform dynamically,on click of Button, in Interactive form generated by Adobe Document Services

I have an XDP file designed by Adobe Designer 7.1 with the following hierarchy of elements:
-form1(root)
--Button
--tmpForm (subform - Repeat subform for each data entry )
---ST (Text)
Now, this XDP file generates an Interactive PDF form with Reader Rights enabled by the Adobe Document Services.
On click of button, the following javascript is executed on client side:

df.ST.rawValue = "HI" ;
xfa.host.messageBox( "Instances" + tmpForm.all.length ) ;
On clicking the button, i get the length of the instances of the subform and the size increases on each click, but no element is added "visibly" to the pdf.
But when i try to do the same by saving the XDP file as Dynamic PDF form for Acrobat 8.0,and open it using Adobe Acrobat PRO 8.0, it works fine.
My question is,I s it not possible to add subforms dynamically in PDF's generated by Adobe Document Services with Reader Rights enabled?
Or, is there something that i am missing?

Hi,
you can't change the behavior of the save button in the browser nor in Reader/Acrobat.
You can add a custom button within your form which calls a custom script from a folder level script using the browserForDoc method.
The browseForDoc methos is the only one whcih can change the name in the saveAs dialog.
Here's an example., you can run from Acrobat console.
You need to combine it with the solution from the other thread to make it work with your form.
