Is there any way to attach excel insted of XML?

Hi,
is there any way to attach excel insted of XML?. i need to fetch the values from the excel sheet directly to the fields in the form.
For Eg:
im having 5 fields named id,name, DOB,country,citizenship
if i enter the ID, the form should get autopopulate from excel sheet and to display the remaining valus name,dob,country,citizenship.
excel will look like this

You can, but you have change your server configuration file. I am using Sun App server where we have a default-web.xml file in the config directory where it specifies which default file will be loaded, instead of calling the welcome.jsp. In Sun App server there is a parameter called <welcome-file-list> where you can specifiy which one to be loaded. I strongly believe there must be something like that in JBoss. Check out all the xml files in the JBoss config directory where you can find a solution to it.

i have a table which have one column say 'colA' as Varchar(max) datatype which i save xml data and it have other cols too
Currently i am searching data inside this table using like operator
eg:
Select * from tablename where colA like ‘%<tagname>parameterstringvalue</tagname>%’
when i check with the Execution plan i could see it Takes 82% for clusterd index scan ( primarykey col
not ColA)
i added new non clusterd index for the same with include col as ColA and i found nonclusterd index scan
with same estimated I O cost and Extimated operator cost as clusterd index scan
My Question is :-
1. why didnt nonclusterd index seek come?
2. In What way i can improve perfomance for such situvation? i had seen couple of post suggesting to rewrite the Query as SELECT
* FROM myTable WHERE CONTAINS (myCol1, myCol2, "myString").
I Try creating Full text index and found cost increased compared to the original Query ?
3. As per my assumption the wild charecter ('%') in begining makes perfomance issue is there any option
or an alternative for such case?

Is there any way to attach a third external monitor to my 13" Macbook Retina?

I was really disappointed to learn on Friday that my 13" retina isn't capible of powering three external screens. I had two DP to VGA adapters plugged in, and the HDMI. Immediately two screens lit up. However, one remained black. I thought closing the laptop lid would free enough resources to allow the third screen to display, but no go
I would so very very much like three external screens that I've been investigating my options:
1) Return it and get the 15". I actually tried to do this, but I stupidly threw out my box even though I only got the Macbook ~8 days ago. Apple wants all packaging and manuals, so this isn't quite possible. My next option is to sell it on Craigslist or something at a loss. Not exactly ideal.
2) Split the signal of one of the connections by using something like Matrox's DualHead2Go. Not ideal though because it's likely one screen spanned across two monitors.
3) Get a USB to VGA adapter. I'm not even sure if this would work, but it seems like my best bet.
Also if it helps my monitors look like this:
Left: Small VGA 5x4 screen.
Center: Large DVI 16x9 screen.
Right: Another small VGA 5x4 screen.
Does anyone have any suggestions for this poor ******* who didn't do enough research before buying his Macbook Retina?

Also, I would rather not use the retina screen when using the external monitors. I prefer either just the retina or just externals. It just feels weird mixing externals + the laptop screen.

Is there any way to make files created from xml plugin (Incat) to ignore the plugin

I originally created my catalog files using CatalogStudio database which then created the files via xml. We had so many files become corrupt in the CatalogStudio database that we decided to quit using it and just create our files directly into Indesign. Unfortunately when we reset our system to operate on the original settings we deleted the old CatalogStudio software. Now when we open the Indesign files they look for the Incat plugin. We can still open them but now functions such as page numbering won't work. Does anyone know a way of getting around this problem?

I tried to mark your answer as correct because it worked. I hesitated to contact the company which had set up the xml application because we had ended our relationship but I, on your advice, I did anyway. They were very nice, sent me the plugins with instructions how to install and it fixed everything. Unfortunately, when I tried to mark your answer no selections were available to me.

First, to answer the question, I took the photo with a Canon camera but did not choose to use the Canon software to download the photo to my desktop. I just did a select and drag to a new folder on my desktop from the sd card. Canon has some software called Imagebrowser that may be used for this, but I took the simpler route.
I have not come across what you called the EXIF orientation before and have no idea how to access it. What software is needed to determine the EXIF orientation? Sorry I'm so far behind on this. I usually used Photoshop and iPhoto to enhance photos.
By the way, I imported the photo into iPhoto then attached it to the email and the orientation didn't change. It was the same in the attachment in Mail as it was in iPhoto. I just don't want to have to go through that extra step every time I attach a photo.

Unfortunately the Gantt chart of the project center views cannot be exported as is in Excel.
But based on projects data, you can build a Gantt chart in Excel. See Office article below:

File -> Export and send them to a Folder on the desktop. Then do what you will with them from there.
There is nothing to be gained by installing Picasa if you're using iPhoto.

but is there any way to just read the excel worksheet name? As there excel format is not fixed and i need to search and open only the sheets i need.

There is nothing to coerce actually.
First, create a constant ref for the prop node on the left-most. Then, del its wire & move it to the Variant to Data function & connect to it. Now, rt-click on the ref constant & choose Select ActiveX Class > Browse.. option. Select the Type Library as Microsoft Excel 11.0... & the Object as _Workbook.
Thats it, it ll automatically fetch you the Excel_Worksheet reference as the data.
