MWhat? I couldn't make sense of this at all!
Do you want the JDK? Or the documentation?

  • Is there any way to view the Java API through Eclipse or any IDE?

    I usually use Eclipse to code and sometimes, when i'm typing a method it will show a small list of the methods available for that class. Does Eclipse (or any other IDE, but Eclipse especially), have the java API available for view somewhere in the program?
    Thanks.

    In Eclipse Select Window -> Show View -> JavaDoc. If you're JRE is set up correctly, it will show you the JavaDoc of the currently selected class/method/member variable in that view.
    If it isn't, then go to Window -> Preferences -> Java -> Installed JRE and edit the JavaDoc location of the rt.jar (for Java 6 http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/api/ is a good value, as long as you're online).

  • Is there any Documentation about MDM4J (Java API) ?

    Hello to all,
    I was wondering... Is there any possibility to get documentation about the classes in the MDM4J.jar ?
    We can not use the other Java Api, and we need to understand this one.
    Thanks in advance,
    Mariano.-

    You're looking for documentation in addition to the javadoc included with MDM4J, right?.-
    Exactly, but, I don't have the javadoc that are included with MDM4J. Are the javadocs always shipped with the MDM4J.jar?

    Hi Mariano,
    all the documentation is available via the MDM documentation center on SAP Service Marketplace:

    Yes, but in that adress you only see the last documentation, and I want an old documentation that isn't found there.

    That adress is the documentation for the "New Java API", not the MDM4J.
    I'm going to put the question as answered because the PDF that Nico provided is like a javadoc. If anyone has any more information, please contact me privately.

  • PI 7.11 - Where can I get the NEW java API's

    Hi,
    We use PI 7.0 in productive environment, but we plan a release update to PI 7.11. We have several Java Mappings for PI 7.0 with Java 1.4. So we have to upgrade this also to Java 1.5.
    We are using following SAP Java libs:
    - aii_map_api.jar
    - aii_mt_rt.jar
    - guidgenerator.jar
    - sapxmltoolkit.jar
    Where can we get the equivalent libraries of the PI 7.11 system. Are there new API's? Is there a documentation where to get this?
    Thx in advance

    Thx !!!

  • Are there ways to download older versions of Apps from App Store?

    I own three iPads, and finally thought I would upgrade my original iPAD1 to the latest 5.1.1,   Imagine my surprise when many of my apps could not be restored, as only ios6 versions show on the store!!###@!%$
    Also backed up the iPAD twice,  one on my MBP and once on Windows,  and the upgraded from latest itunes on windows.   Although everything worked for 5.1.1., it is basically useless as many of my key apps now say they need IOS6 and of course ios6 is not supported on an Ipad1.   Have not connected it to the MacBook Pro as that is my last good backup as the windows itunes backed up again and resynced after the 5.1.1 upgrade.
    Right now I would be happy to restore my original iOS, so at least my working apps could come back, if the "Full Backup" inludes Apps and IOS version.  I still want use this tablet for remote TV control,  home automation,  and of course over a thousand books in Stanza that just disappeared .
    Is there a way to restore from one of my backups to get back to where I was?
    Wondering if it is time to sell my Apple Stock?     Effectively bricked many of my working apps with no clear way to get them back.
    Highlights a real problem with the App Store model, built in obselence for an expensive device.

    If you had followed the recommended steps of transferring purchases into iTumes, backing up the iPad, downloading and installing the update, restoring from the backup and then syncing with iTunes, the older versions of the apps should have transferred into your iTunes library and should have been transferred back to the iPad as the very last step in the updating process.
    Did you try updating apps after you updated the iOS?

  • Best Way to Expose our JAVA API as web service

    we have develop an API and now, we want these API available as web services. the API abstracts the developer from database connection and the developer has to only concern himself of the object model. our problem with this API is that if we distribute this to our co-developers, their applications will be connecting directly to our database. but if we have this as a webservice, the connections to the databse will be isolated between the host that's running the webservice and the database.
    what's the best way to move these API/objects to webservices? what are our options?
    thanks,

    You can pretty much put anything you want into a web service. But remember they are designed for network/internet calls so it might make sense to bulk wrap your API calls. Due to the large amount of XML that is required by a web service if your API is large and you will have many webservices you probably want to get a tool that can generate this for you.

  • Is there a way to create a Java class based on what's defined in a schema?

    I have a set of schemas that define what messages I will get as an XML stream (sent as UDP packets). Is there a way to parse the schemas into a set of java classes that match the fields in the schema? If so, next think would be to feed a string or byte array to instances of these objects and have a method that parses it and fills all the fields. But is the first part possible? Somebody linked http://www.cafeconleche.org/books/xmljava/chapters/ in another thread, but that seems to be for regular XML, not schema, unless I'm confused which is entirely possible, I'm new to XML and using it in Java in this way.

    For future reference, [Java API for XML Binding|http://www.dummies.com/WileyCDA/DummiesArticle/Building-Custom-Code-with-Java-API-for-XML-Binding-JAXB-.id-1489,subcat-BUILDING.html] (JAXB) allows for [generation of Java classes|http://www.oracle.com/technology/pub/articles/marx-jse6.html] from XML Schema (or even DTD) using its xjc compiler.

  • Link to download java api?

    Hi,
    I've needed to download the java api a couple of times in the past, and I remember the download was impossible to find on sun's website. Once again I can't figure out where it is. Can anyone help me?
    I wonder why sun doesn't put a link to where you can download the api at the top of their web page that lets you view the api online?

    You mean, like the "Downloads" link at the top of this page?No. I looked through all the downloads, and I didn't find what I was looking for
    Downloads->Java Se->Java SE 6 Documentation
    how hard was that?Not too hard if you know that what you are after is called Java SE 6 Documentation.
    Use google next time... "Java API Download"I did--and with those exact words in a different order. It wasn't helpful.
    http://java.sun.com/javase/reference/api.jspThose are links to the online docs--not downloadable docs.
    Thanks for the help, but lose the attitude--especially for something so trivial for someone who knows their way around the sun website. Sorry for putting you all out.

  • Getting organizational unit with API in OBPM 11g

    Hi all,
    I'm not able to find the way to get the organizational unit of a participant using the OBPM 11g API. Can anyone tell me how can I do that?

    Organizational Unit API was included in 11.1.1.5 FP4 - see : http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/soasuite/documentation/11gr1ps4featurepackdoc-462677.html and download BPM Java API Reference. Within the download you will find oracle.bpm.services.organization.IBPMOrganizationService interface that contains method getOrganizationalUnitForUser which should do the job.
    For the process there is an XPath method bpm:getUserOrganizationUnit() that according to documentation:
    "Returns the fully qualified organization unit name with the parent hierarchy The signature of this function is bpm:getUserOrganizationUnit(userName, realmName, parentPath). The arguments to the function: 1) userName - a user name 2) realmName - The realm name. This is optional and if not specified default realm is assumed 2) parentPath - This is optional and if sepcified, would be used for resolving conflicts if the user belongs to more than one organizational unit. For example if user belongs to OUs americas/north/us/NY/sales and americas/taskforce/globalsales then americas/north or americas/north/us or americas/north/us/NY can be used as parent path. Note that longer the path, more efficient it is to search."

  • MDM JAVA API SCA file for MDM 7.1 SP04

    I need to download MDM JAVA API SCA file for MDM 7.1 SP04. When I added to the download basket through service marketplace it is looking for the approval process, just for the API file. I was able to get the other files though like webdynpro framework, change tracker. We haven't setup the Solution Manager yet. It might take a while. Meanwhile is there any other way to get the SCA file.
    Thanks

    Opened message with SAP and they have approved the download basket. Now able to download the sca file.

  • Step by Step to access custom Java API in Application Service.

    Hi Experts,
           I have a situation to access the custom Java API in CAF. The Java API fetches the data from MDM. I need to get the data from that API and and use it in the CAF Application Service layer? Is there a way to access the JAVA API in the Application Service Layer? If so please do help me out. Step by Step solution would be appreciated.
    thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Ketan

    Hi Ketan,
    You can do it in two ways.
    1. You can create your own custom class in the ejbmodule which you can see in the Navigator view.
    2. You can have a ear having the custom class. This ear will be in a separate DC and CAF will have dependency to it.

  • Generate Java API Doc

    Hi,
    Is there any way to generate Java API Doc from the class files? I downloaded a set of Java class files from a web site, but it does not have any API docs, so I am hoping I can still generate the API docs from them?
    Any ways?
    thanks.

    so if I have no Java source file, there is no way to generate the java API docs?
    As I said, I downloaded a set of java classes, but without java doc inside it, I wanna generate the java doc to use them.
    any one can help?

  • Java api + polygon self intersecting.

    Hi,
    I am using this sdo_geom.validate_geometry_with_context to validate the polygon geometry.
    Is there any equavalent oracle spatial java api to do similar validation (Oracle 10g), before loading the data. thanks.

    Dear (What is your name?) User 810260,
    Yes, there is the Java Topology Suite (1.12 is the latest).
    Here is an example from its test harness:
    public class IsValidTester {
      public IsValidTester() {
      public static void main(String[] args) throws Exception {
        WKTReader reader = new WKTReader(new GeometryFactory());
        Geometry g = reader.read("GEOMETRYCOLLECTION (POINT (110 300), POINT (100 110), POINT (130 210), POINT (150 210), POINT (150 180), POINT (130 170), POINT (140 190), POINT (130 200), LINESTRING (240 50, 210 120, 270 80, 250 140, 330 70, 300 160, 340 130, 340 130), POLYGON ((210 340, 220 260, 150 270, 230 220, 230 140, 270 210, 360 240, 260 250, 260 280, 240 270, 210 340), (230 270, 230 250, 200 250, 240 220, 240 190, 260 220, 290 230, 250 230, 230 270)))");
        IsValidOp op = new IsValidOp(g);
        if (!op.isValid()) {
          System.out.println(op.getValidationError().getMessage());
        else {
          System.out.println("OK");
    }To create a JTS Geometry you can do something like this:
        public static void setPrecisionScale(int _numDecPlaces)
            precisionModelScale = _numDecPlaces < 0
                                  ? (double)(1.0/Math.pow(10, Math.abs(_numDecPlaces)))
                                  : (double)Math.pow(10, _numDecPlaces);
        public static String  myFunction(STRUCT _geom,
                                                    int    _precision)   // _precision is decimal digits of precision NOT Oracle tolerance.
         throws SQLException
            try
                // Check geometry parameter
                if ( _geom == null )
                    throw new SQLException("Supplied Sdo_Geometries is NULL.");
                // Get valid connection
                setConnection();
              int SRID = getSRID(_geom,0);  // My own function that gets the sdo_srid value from an SDO_Geometry STRUCT...
              PrecisionModel  pm              = new PrecisionModel(getPrecisionScale(_precision));   // <-- note use of getPrecisionScale method
              GeometryFactory geometryFactory = new GeometryFactory(pm,SRID);
              GeometryConverter     converter = new GeometryConverter(connection,geometryFactory);
              Geometry                    geo = converter.asGeometry(_geom);
              // Check converted geometries are valid
              if ( geo == null )
                throw new SQLException("SDO_Geometry conversion to JTS geometry returned NULL.");
              IsValidOp op = new IsValidOp(geo);
              if (!op.isValid()) {
                 return op.getValidationError().getMessage();
            } catch(SQLException sqle) {
                System.err.println(sqle.getMessage());
                throw new SQLException(sqle.getMessage());
             return "TRUE";
        } If this helps you, please mark this post as the answer that got you the solution you wanted.
