Is there way to find Office files on share which contain macros?

Our organization will be upgrading everyone from Office 2003 to Office 2013. We are aware of a few Excel 2003 files having incompatibility issues with Office 2013, specifically macros (vba code) are going through a conversion/evaluation process.
I wanted to do a search on our file shares for other files that we involved in the conversion may not be aware of which also have VBA code in them. Is there a way to search, either using Windows 8's File Explorer or Visual Basic, to locate all MS Office
files having VBA code in them?

You can specify the path to the file as a system property
          eg

I got a question in Discoverer.
Is there a way to find Responsibility name in EUL10_US user in Database side. I mean in EUL tables can we able to find what Responsibilties been shared the report.
I see many EUL tables when we login as EUL10_US user Toad, I would like to know the Report with which ORacle responsibilities shared.
Any ideas on this -thanks a lot!!!

I wrote a query that I've been using for a while that shows me the owner, report name, and who (responsibility included) that the report is shared to. Hopefully you'll be able to modify to suit your needs.

Is there way to debug myjar.jar file??
However,I can use Djcompiler and get the sources for the jar and use it for debugging.I think,Its not good Idea??

Yes - Alt+92 works, but it is too complicated method for most users. As \ is used so often (e.g. login into domain, file and UNC paths) there should be more direct support in keyboard layout.
Some users are using other Languages (English, Russian) keyboard layout, just to enter that single character.
Those who know about presence of Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator load the existing layout and modify it so that VK_OEM_5 key with "\ |" on it in combination with space produce "\" and not "°".
I would suggest to map "\" to AltGr + "/" key, because it is physically close to VK_OEM_5 and also conceptually idea that AltGr changes meaning from one slash to other is quite logical. That combination is not currently used, so it can be used for that new
purpose without breaking anything.

Is there way to sync mp3 files that won't upload to iTunes Match?

Let me briefly explain. I subscribe to iTunes Match. This works great except that there are a few large mp3 files (i.e., lectures) that won't upload to iTunes Match. I need to get those files on my iPhone or iPad. With iTunes Match on, all the uploaded music is synced but not those files. With iTunes Match off, I can easily add those files. How can I get these files to sync to the device and still use iTunes Match for all the rest of my music?

You can only remove them in iTunes on the computer.

Finder creates file in trash which can not be deleted.

I am experiencing a weird problem after forcing leopard to reboot. The trash can icon is now always shown as full.
If I open the trash can in the finder there is a file named ␀␀␀␀␀.úÉ The strange thing is if i open the .Trash folder with a terminal and ls -al the folder is empty. Dragging the file out of the finder on to the desktop empties the trash, but as soon as i click on another finder window the file is back. DOH
Also if i do a getInfo on the file it disappears out of the trash only to reappear as soon as i click on another finder window. Opening the file with quick view shows the file name as null.null.null.null.úÉ.
Here is what I have tried so far to resolve this issue:
- Systemshutdown
- Verify on the Main HD with disk utility
- Fixing Permissions
- Dragging the file on the desktop
- Clearing the trash folder on the command line with rm -R * (This throws an error message which is weird.)
Has anyone got any idea what else i could try, this is driving me nuts.
I also have TimeMachine and Fusion running not sure if that may be causing this issue.
I hope someone can help me.

Hi I managed to resolve my problem hope the following is of help.
As the problem occured after a forcefull shutdown it appeards that the Boot Camp partition was not unmounted correctly, this left a corrupt entry within the .Trashes folder on the bootcamp partition.
The corrupt file prevented me from deleting the folder. I natively booted into winxp and used a utility called delinvfile to remove all hidden mac os x folders (those starting with a .)
After that i booted back into leopard and the problem was solved.
I also found that unmounting the boot-camp partition would fix the problem this is what pointed me to the solution. It may be a good test to see if you have the same problem before applying the above fix.

How to say to the finder not to change the size of the column when you move a file to a folder?
How to say to the finder not to put the pointer in top of column when you move a file elsewhere?
How to say to the finder to keep the pointer at the place it was (whith +1 or -1) after a move of a file?
Everything was easy to work whith before these change which make a decrease of productivity inadmissible.

Finding related files.

Hi,
In OS X is there an easy way to find all files related to a certain application? Also, what is the best way to uninstall programs that do not come with an uninstaller as im guessing that if you just drag the icon from the applications folder to the trash, it does not get rid of all of the other files that program uses?

Simon............ It is a two step process to remove all traces of software.....
1. Drag the Application in question to the Trash
2. Using Find file (command+F)
(a) Type the name of the file, when located, move all items to the Trash.
(b) Type the name of the Author of the file (that means who wrote the file), locate it and move it to the Trash....
3. Empty the Trash...
Note..You can use step 2b if you have no other software created by that author.
This will remove all traces of any software......When that is all done, restart.

Finding Duplicated Files

What is the easiest way to find duplicated files throughout the hard drive? I have just managed to eliminate 6 GB of files that had arisen because previously I had files and clones on 3 separate Hard Drives and had lost track at times. I am now consolidating to one HD and cleaning out the excess fat by laboriously going through several folders by hand. It takes a lot of time.
Is there a way of getting Spotlight to identify unnecessary duplicates systemwide? Or is there another method?

BW Reports: Way to find the data origin and describe the formulas?

I need to create a document describing the data origins and the calculations in the reports that are in use.
Reports are standard BW reports for HR Personnel Administration.
Is there any feasible way to find and describe that from which fields in R/3 is the data coming from? I know the DataSources 0HR_PA_0 and 0HR_PA_1 are the ones used, but is there a way to drill further?
E.g.
How would you descibe, how does the query "Average Headcount (4-quarter) calculate the number of employees?
I've been told that the answer "BW reports uses Standard BW extractors/update/transfer rules etc. to download the data from R/3 and standard BW keyfigures and formulas etc. in queries to calculate the results" is not enough.
The answer should be more detailed with additional info about locations of the data in R3?
SAP documentation gives describtions for each report, as for example the report "Average Headcount (4-quarter)", formula: Average 4-quarters of Previous Year = Sum of quarter values (previous year) / 4
Is there a way to describe this more in detail?
All the documents and postings I've read does not give too much hope for this. Generally the answer has been that this mission is more or less impossible.
I hope you figure out what I'm trying to find here.

Place archive_reports.sms in %systemroot%\ccm\inventory\temp\ for both 64-bit and 32-bit computers.
There are two situations where you can use this depending on the type of client:
1. To keep inventory reports on a client (that is not an MP), create the following file:
%systemroot%\ccm\inventory\temp\archive_reports.sms
2. To keep inventory reports on a MP (that is also a client), create the following file:
<x>:\sms_ccm\inventory\temp\archive_reports.sms
The XML file will be saved in the inventory\temp folder.
