Is this a problem with the phone or verizon?
When trying to check for system update my GS3 says
"To check for system updates,go to Settings> About device when service is available" ( I of course have a good connection)
Also under -Status last checked on" it says October 01 2012
Does this mean my phone hasnt updated at all since that time?
It has my Android version as 4.0.4
I have read on this message board that getting a new sim card has been a fix for others but that several have had to get the phone replaced. I purchased this phone in September of last year shouldnt it have updated by now?
Edit: I have tried removing the sim card and battery then rebooting several times
Although you said u checked time zone setting, just double check it to make sure.
Settings->privacy->location services->system services-> setting time zone->ON
Like you said, if its not the problem then try a hard reset by pressing and holding both the home button and sleep/wake button together untilt the apple logo appears.

There is a problem with the phone app. When I want to call somebody the phone screen come too late. This will cause a problem if I call the wrong number. Apple please please please fix it as soon as possible and also check why the phone is always restart. I prefer to let us use the iOS 7 until you finished from the IOS 8 because Ios 8 still under construction there is a tones problems in the system. And this Will cause undirect problem for the iPhone 6

I bought my iphone from carephone warehouse, sim free and with no contract. 5 months down the line I had a problem with the phone and I booked a genius appointment, they swapped my phone and gave me a new phone but they locked my phone to tmobile!!! I now do not use tmobile and I have an iphone which is locked to tmobile!!! I bought an unlocked phone and apple have locked it!!! what can i do?
In response to this, Carphone Warehouse (and Phones4U) sell what is commonly referred to as "sim free" handsets - these are not the same as unlocked. Sim free handsets will automatically lock to the first network sim card that the phone is activated with, and that will be permanently. The only way to unlock the handset would be to go through the network (T-Mobile I understand) and request they unlock it for you. More than likely, there will be a charge as you are no longer a T-Mobile customer.
If you ever want to purchase a new unlocked iPhone, the only place you can buy one is from Apple directly. Any other place will most likely sell sim free handsets. -
I am trying to log onto my wireless connection but it keeps telling me I'm unable to locate any wireless network. I know there are several networks nearby. Is this a problem with my phone or my router?
I found a solution that has worked on both iPhone 4's I have that have had the same issues, and also including not being able to download updates in the App store.
Go to Settings > WiFi and turn it OFF.
Next go to General > Cellular > Cellular Data and turn it OFF
Next go back to Settings > WiFi and turn it ON, (wait a few seconds for it to sync with your network)
Finally go back to General > Cellular > Cellular Data and turn it ON.
I had the same issues on both my wife's phone, and my own, and it fixed it immediately without changing any proxy settings or reboots, (which I did try on my phone and did not work, but did not try on my wife's phone)

At times the camera on my Iphone gets struck and returns to a grey colored screen.. does this indicate any problem with the phone.. and are thr any chances for virus getting into the phone..

Your AirPort Extreme supports WPA.
WEP is outdated and considered fairly useless, so use WPA.
Be sure you are using AirPort Utility 5.6. If you are not running Lion then use AirPort Utility 5.5.3.
AirPort Utility 6.0 cannot administer 802.11b/g base stations. -
I have a problem with the phone speaker
I started yesterday to have a problem with the phone speaker, I cant hear anything when using the normal speacker, but its ok when using the loud speaker. I dont know what happened. its not working nether with phone calls nor calling apps such as viber
If you have a docking station try putting it on there. I lost my sounds, docked it and they came back immediately.

i get intermittent reception when I stream music from I Tunes via Airport Extreme and Airport Express to powered speakers. I Tunes continues to play uninterupted on the Mac. The problem does not lie with the Express as it occurs on both of my 2 Express at the same time. is this a problem with the Extreme?
Well, repying to my own post... Might have found the solution: I tried to do the same with a Macbook Pro 2010 using the very same setup. And it worked perfectly! No freeze, no nothing.
One explanation I see:
my iMac is dating back to May 2007, a Core 2 Duo 2,16Ghz with 2 Go of RAM.
So the computer's characteristics (or the Wifi component or the combination of all of this) might be not robust enough to allow streaming to those 2 devices...

When I first attempt to power on my MacBook Pro, the LED blinks but the MBP doesnt turn on. However when I try a second time the LED blinks but my Mac turns on. Is this a problem with the hardware and can it be fixed?
Also, I apparently have to replace my battery. Could the problem have any relevance to a dead battery?Have you held the power button down for 10+ seconds? That should turn it off.

ontop of all the typical problems with the software i am having the following issue.everytime i go to update to ed04 it will download the whole way then fail to install.so eventhough the new 05 is out and supposedly fixes everything i can't even update to that.
they seriously should have just given the option over the phone to swap for the charge since my stores in the area were out of them for over a week now.i went in everyday after work and even called other area stores and had no luck.i'm seriously ready to just cancel my service and move on to another provider.i need my phone since i have a side job i do out of my hosue that is just beginning to take off and missing calls is not helping me exapnd.adamamazing wrote:

Try a factory reset, it is a pain, I know, I've done it a couple of times, what do you have to lose at this time. Just backup your contacts and remove your SD card, even though it is not necessary, I still do just for the heck of it.
