Is this possible? Name xml file produced by pdf file

Hi,
At work we have pdf files on the intranet completed by managers, which produces an xml file that is sent to a specific mailbox. Via a button, the form opens an Outlook email with the xml file attached. The user just has to click send. This works fine. However, we end up with a mailbox of xml files called 'reader.xml'.
Is it possible for Adobe to rename the produced xml file using data from one or two text boxes in the completed pdf file?
Would it be possible to add a timestamp to the file name as well?
I've not used java before, but use VBA regularly, and would enjoy the challenge.
At the moment I'm just exploring the possibility.
Many thanks.

The data is text and dates, not that much. I'd want the file to be named after the first and last name fields.
I'm not sure the IT dept of our organisation would want to install script locally, it would be a very low priority for them apart from anything else.

    I did the update to 3.6.11 - After it started Firefox it would go to the requested site in the addressbar, but the page would be blank. I went to check for updates and it told me there was a problem in updating. It gave me this error message: Update XML file malformed (200)

  • Creating an xml file from recordset

    Hi...
    XML newbie here - so.
    Is it possible to create and xml file from a recordset?
    I need to create a datafeed of our e-commerce products.
    Also, some of the db data contains HTML Code (product
    description field),
    how will this effect the xml file?
    Another problem is that my xml file needs to contain url's
    for the products
    and product images. My ASP pages contain these URL in hard
    code and then
    pull the actual file names from the db
    Hope that makes some sense
    Thanks for any help
    Andy

    Hi David
    Thanks for your help.
    I think it will have to be option 1 as i am using Access DB.
    I don't know how to go about it but will serach good old
    Google.
    Here is my recordset below, that pulls the required data from
    Access.
    The product and product image URL's need to be in the xml
    file but only the
    product image name and product id are in the database, e.g
    image name
    (imagename.jpg) productid (21)
    The actual URL's are hardcoded in my ASP pages, e.g <img
    src="products/medium/<%=(RSDetails.Fields.Item("Image").Value)%>"
    Not sure if this makes things any clearer :-|
    Thanks Again

  • How to inherit tangsol-coherence.xml file?

    Hi Guys,
    I know we can override the tangsol-coherence.xml by using -Dtangosol.coherence.override property to have our own file, But what I would like to know is like in java you can inherit from the super class to make a more specific generalized class, similarly do we have a way to use tangsol-coherence.xml (as a super class) and only define a file to have things that we require to override(more specific subclass)?
    It would be great if you can let me know if this is possible in Coherence 3.6 version.
    Thanks,
    Yogendra.

    Hi Yogendra,
    Your override file does inherit from the tangsol-coherence.xml file even though you do not explicitly say so anywhere. In your override file you only need to include the actual XML fragements you want to override.
    E.G. If you look at the override file from the Incubator COmmons project it looks like this:
    <coherence>
        <configurable-cache-factory-config>
            <class-name>com.oracle.coherence.environment.extensible.ExtensibleEnvironment</class-name>
            <init-params>
                <init-param>
                    <param-type>java.lang.String</param-type>
                    <param-value system-property="tangosol.coherence.cacheconfig">coherence-cache-config.xml</param-value>
                </init-param>
            </init-params>
        </configurable-cache-factory-config>
    </coherence>as it only needs to override the configurable-cache-factory-config settings.
    There is actually a hierarchy of configuration files depending on whether you have specified the -Dtangosol.coherence.override
    If you have not specified -Dtangosol.coherence.override the hierarchy of files is like this
    tangsol-coherence.xml
      |-- tangosol-coherence-override-{mode}.xml    (where {mode} is set by -Dtangosol.coherence.mode and defaults to dev)
             |-- tangosol-coherence-override.xmlIf you have specified -Dtangosol.coherence.override the hierarchy of files is like this
    tangsol-coherence.xml
      |-- file specified in -Dtangosol.coherence.override What Coherence basically does is loads in the tangsol-coherence.xml file then reads in the override files and applies those over the top, so in effect all the override files do extend tangsol-coherence.xml

    My requirement is I want to archive a file by appending my BPEL instant id to the file name.
    Is this possible changing the file name when archive the file???
    Thanks

    I couldn't find that out when I had the same requirement. I was running out of time, so I let Archive functionality works as it works and used the write file option with opaque schema.

  • XML file as datasource

    Hi All
    I want to read an xml file which contains all the requried data for presentation purposes. Is there any in which this file can be used a datasource and we can query this file to create different reports.
    From [this|Re: Can XML files be used for data?; thread, it seems that it is possible through JDBC XML drivers. Has anyone used this concept before..??
    Also, we are using NW2004s and accordingly, the J2EE engine supports only 1.x or 2.0 compliant JDBC drivers only.
    Please suggest as to how to implement this solution.
    Thanks
    Deepak

    Hi Luis
    Thanks for the reply.
    The XML file that I have is of the following structure:
    <UserDetails>
        <UserInfo>
            <FirstName>fsdfsdfs</Firstname>
            <LastName>dfdsfsd</LastName>
        </UserInfo>
        <UserInfo>
            <FirstName>gdfgdgd</Firstname>
            <LastName>dfgdfgd</LastName>
        </UserInfo>
    <UserDetails>
    With respect to the above structure, can you please give some technical implementation suggestions as to how your suggestion can be implemented..?? (Like return types in web services, input parameters OR if I have to use Stored Procedures.. how should i go about that..)
    Thanks
    Deepak
