You cannot do this natively - .NET does not natively support
AX controls.
You can achieve this with CFCOM

Is it possible to integrate a different application server with Creator

It's not love at first sight, but I think i'm gonna fall in love with creator. my question is, is it possible to use/integrate a different application server into creator instead of Sun's Application Server. I prefer to use Jonas

How can I implement an iphone application, it hides when started running?

Is there anyone who can be tell me whether it is possible to implement an iphone application in such a way that it hides automatically when starts running. If it it possible, please help me how it can be implemented. As I need it for my application, this application will only update current gps data into the server at regular interval that is set by the user.

How to Upload Smartforms from Application Server

Hi Guys,
I have to upload the SMARTFORMS in to the System.That can be done as follows:
1- Tcode - Smartforms
2- Utilities -> Upload form
3- Give form Name
4- Give path of Form on presentation server and upload.
But I have to give the path of Form from the Application Server. As i have all the forms to be uploaed in New system on the Application Server.
I will be writing the program to program to read XML file(smartform) from application server to internal table and then upload it in the System.
Please let me know if it is possible to upload Smartforms from Application Server?

I have been given a new assignment which involves Oracle Applications server 10g, i am new to oracle application server and hoping that some one will please clarify my doubts.
i have to clone a production machine (Solaris 10) which has oracle AS 10g, this machine had oracle database 10g before and just the application server was installed on it, i have to clone a test environment for this machine, i have the following two doubts
1) Is it possible to just install Oracle Application server 10g on a machine which already contains oracle 10g database, if so then what about the database that gets installed when installing Oracle application server 10g.
2) How to clone the above production machine, should the oracle 10g database be cloned first and then oracle application server 10g cloned on the new machine?

The DB that comes with OAS as the infrastructure DB for it (I presume you are installing a full OAS with infrastructure and midtier both) does not affect the DB you already have on your system ... obviously ... as long as you install them in their separate homes.
2) I always say, this term cloning is somewhat loosely used in general communication meaning making copies. In OAS context, Cloning works for middletiers only. You cannot clone an infrastructure.
To make a redundant/alternate environment for OAS, you can do the following:
- a) either use the same infra on machine 1, and install another midtier and register with the same infra.
- b) or install a separate infra on machine 2, and also a midtier registered with it.
Here for the first option a), Cloning can be used because you can (*only*) clone a middle-tier. There are pros and cons for this setup, including that you share the SSO, and OID, and hence users and groups bases, etc on those two environments - something that you may or may not want. But then there are also some way-outs to avoid them or minimize their effects too. Please see the following reference for cloning and search on Metalink for how to minimize effects, once you get better familiar with the processes.

Can you install the Office Web Application Server on one of the App Servers for SharePoint 2013?

Is it possible to run Office Web Application Server (shows preview images for docs and allows Notepad, Word, Excel to work etc) on one of the SharePoint 2013 App Servers. I don't want to have to create a new server. It talks about setting
up a farm.
Better still how the feck do you switch this functionlity off - I always remember it being a pain in the arse. We accidentally ran the first part of the configuration on one of the SharePoint App Servers only to find out our subscription does not
have this download (bar stewards changed this Nov 2014 - just after started contract).

If you check in Control Panel > Programs, is there any feature related to Office Web Apps?
If you have confirmed there is no Office Web Apps feature installed, please go to SharePoint document library settings, and make the document to open in client, does it work?

Create a Document with an original file stored on application server

Hello,
I start with document managment system : i am able to create new document (CV01N) manually, add a local file and check-in this file.
Now we need to store file which are stored on the SAP Application Server.
Firstly, in the GUI of transaction CV01N, i don't know how to browse file on application server. All files i can't attach as original, are files i can access from my computer.
Is it possible to access also on application server files ?
Moreover, i have to define function module which have to
- Create a document (DMS)
- Attach an orginial file which is stored on application server
- Check-in the file
This function module will be called from a web application
I define this kind of function and run it correctly with a local file (stored on my computer) : i call BAPI "BAPI_DOCUMENT_CREATE2" and "BAPI_DOCUMENT_CHECKIN2"
But i don't how to do with a file stored on application server. I see also note 504692 and try a program like ZZUZTEST_TEST_CHECKIN which use FM CVAPI_DOC_CHECKIN but it return an error Error uploading E:\usr\sap\TD1\DVEBMGS00\data\FACTURE.txt" (this path and file exist on application server and is really the file i want to checkin)
Please could you confirm what i search, is possible or not.
If possible, could help me with some explanations and guidelines and perhaps a sample ?

This is a bit tricky. I spent lots of hours about this .
You have to set PF_HOSTNAME with your name of your AS and gives the path to the file on the server.
You wrote
*PF_HOSTNAME = w_host
But beware: if you have more thän one AS you have to fix one AS for upload or you have to find the servers name of the file. A better way can be to share one folder by each AS.
You also have to decide between HTTP or FTP.

If I want to execute one function module in background and the FM is downloading file to application server, the FM is not downloading file to application server. Can you please suggest whether it is possible to download file to application server when it is in background mode? I know it is not possible to download file to presentation server.

Yes, it is possible to download a file to application server in background mode. check the path ur sepcifying to the Function module to download the file...in T-Code AL11 check if the path exits.

Get runtime application server url

I try to use web.show_document(url,target) and I don't know exactly the runtime url. It will be nice to retrieve it from form.
Is it possible to get the runtime application server url inside form? If so how?

On the other hand do you really need the App Server URL - you can use relative URLS with WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT if you neeed to..

I did not enter the host name and/or domain name during installation, as it took both Automatically.
I see in config files the host name configured as - myhost.mydomain.com

Application Server and Driver Connection Pool

Hi,
What is the difference between Connection Pool implemented by the Driver and the Connection Pool implemented by the Application Server?
If i am using a JDBC3.0 compliant driver,i can use PooledDataSource to get a Conenction from the Connection pool. But, even otherwise, the application server (JBOSS) would implement a Connection Pooling mechanism. i.e even from a basic Datasource, i will get the Connection Pool.
1. Can i do away with PooledDataSource of Driver when using an application server?
2. If i have to use both, then what is the criterion for optimal usage?

Connection pooling is good that the connection object that have been created can be used later by other client.
Application server is better since server always have more resources( such as memory, processor speed) in order to perform the task.
And this may improve centralization, all connection object managed by a single centralized server.
Pls correct me if i am wrong.
