Is UDPDatagramConnection's send() method in blocking mode?

Hello,
I need your help in order to clarify this problem. I'd like to know if the send() method of UDPDatagramConnection is in blocking mode by default (Or is there any possiblity to verify it?).
Thanks in advance for your response,
Luubi.

Since it throws InterruptedIOException for timeouts of interrupts I'm gessing this is a blocking method.

  • How to read Assignment blocks mode options Lazy, Direct etc

    Hi,
I need to read the Assignment block mode settings made in configuration i.e, Direct, Lazy etc in a program. Can some one help me out how to get these values for Account assignment block. Based on these modes, i need to programatically control and decide some rules.

  • Eraser tool in Photoshop CS5 (block mode)

    Hello, experts:
Several months ago, I noticed that, when using the Photoshop CS5 eraser tool in block mode,  it was not working right up to the edges of the tool (the block icon that apperars on screen). In other words, when erasing, I have to guess how near it is safe to move it towards something I need to protect, and this uncertainty can cause errors in my work. Has anyone else had this problem, and is there anything that can be done to cure it?
With thanks in anticipation of  a helpful reply,
    True To Form

The easiest thing to start with is to reset the Eraser Tool.
Right click on the Eraser icon in the tool options bar and then click on Reset Tool.

  • How to open an URL from Forms in blocking mode?

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to open a website from within forms in blocking mode? The reason why I have to use blocking mode is that the user has to take some action in the website and has to end that session explicitly with a button on the website. After that, a file is written on the server that is needed for further action. Without that file the process can't go on.
    I use Forms (32-bits) versie 10.1.2.0.2.

    Thanks for your answer.
Your suggestion is only possible with a timer-trigger (correct me if I'm wrong). And that's the point.... The time the user can act in the website is unlimited. So, how to set up a timer-trigger? Another work around is to make a process that works at some time and searches for the files on the server. But that's not what we want to do.
    Does anyone have another idea?

  • SELECT of OCILobLocator in Non Blocking mode

    Hi all.
    I have problem:
I try select BLOB field into OCILobLocator* buffer in Non Blocking mode, and receive 'ORA-03106: fatal two-task communication protocol error' sometimes.
    Details:
Application contains two threads : 1. select blob field, 2. update it.
I tried separate update and select to different apps (and run its in one time) - problem reproduced.
problem reproduced for OCIStmtFetch and OCIStmtFetch2.
If disable non blocking mode - problem disappear.
if error appear - record level error code contains 1405. Need wait few minutes for error message appearing (~1 minute in my case).
Using of OCI_DEFAULT in OCIDefineByPos instead OCI_DYNAMIC_FETCH don't solve problem.
I use oracle server and client library with version 10.2.0.4
    Output sample:
    execute_select(): can't make OCIStmtFetch2: status = -1, message = 'ORA-03106: fatal two-task communication protocol error

    Output sample:
    execute_select(): can't make OCIStmtFetch2: status = -1, message = 'ORA-03106: fatal two-task communication protocol error
    ', error code = 3106, row errors: #877: 1405
    execute_select(): can't make OCIStmtFetch2: status = -1, message = 'ORA-03106: fatal two-task communication protocol error
    ', error code = 3106, row errors: #54: 1405
    execute_select(): can't make OCIStmtFetch2: status = -1, message = 'ORA-03106: fatal two-task communication protocol error
    ', error code = 3106, row errors: #877: 1405
    execute_select(): can't make OCIStmtFetch2: status = -1, message = 'ORA-03106: fatal two-task communication protocol error

    Can anybody help me ?

  • Error sending method invocation request(oc4j 10g(10.1.3.1))

    Dear,
I have two applications a.ear and b.ear. They both are deployed on same oc4j container (10g(10.1.3.1))
Both applications use each others session beans. In order to make communications between these two applications possible I set global-jndi-lookup-enabled attribute in <application-server> element in server.xml file, to be true.
One of the applications use hibernate 3.1. According to some of posts from your forum, I replaced antlr.jar from toplink\jlib folder with one form with the one provided by the Hibernate 3 distribution.
In order to integrate Hibernate with Container managed transactions, I set in hibernate.cfg.xml:
    hibernate.transaction.factory_class parameter to: org.hibernate.transaction.CMTTransactionFactory and
    hibernate.transaction.manager_lookup_class to: org.hibernate.transaction.OC4JTransactionManagerLookup.
Everything works well since I save/update data in database. I save or update data, calling method from remote session bean.
I am getting java.lang.NullPointerException. Here is my error log:

OC4J can work with many different DataSources implementations to work against many different databases. We have not hardcoded it work only against an Oracle database. We have reworked the Data Source area in 10.1.3 to make it simpler and more consistent.
I'd recommend having a read of the the J2EE Services Guide for 10.1.3 (http://download-west.oracle.com/otn/java/oc4j/1013/doc/web.1013/b14427.pdf)
and have a look at chapter 4 where our new and improved DataSource implementation s discussed.

If you are not sure you an find out through the support link on apples page. i believe its under the apple care stuff. Good luck

  • Jdbc sender adapter in synchronous mode

    Dear Experts,
I am on PI 7.0 SP 14. I would like to know whether it is possible to use jdbc sender adapter in
synchrounous mode. The scenario is jdbc to web service . The response from webservice should be inserted into the database.  If we use the insert statement in the response mapping will it work ?
    Thanks

  • Writing binary files in block mode?

I am sampling two channels in continuous mode using labview basic version. I would like to take the two arrays of values as I am sampling them and write them out in block mode to a binary file. What's the best way to do that?

Open or create a file for write before daq starts, then continuously write data to the file, and close it after the daq is stopped. Make sure each column of the data array is each channel, so an Array transpose might be needed.

  • Synchronized method's block list implementation

In an object with synchronized methods, the OS maintains the list of blocked objects waiting to enter synchronzied methods. For this reason, I'm guesing, the Java spec seems to state the selection of these blocked objects as "arbitrary."
I am trying to determine that there is no risk of stavation in this blocked pool of threads. For example, a FIFO implementation of the blocked-object list would guarantee that all objects eventually entered their appropriate synchronized method.
Does anyone know for certain what blocked object selection algorithm is present on a JVM running on a Win32 platform? On SunOS 5.6? I believe the former uses a priority-based, preemptive thread scheduling with a round-robin-style time quantum to prevent starvation. Not sure what the latter uses.
    Any ideas? Thanks!
    -Jeff Ishaq

In an object with synchronized methods, the OS
maintains the list of blocked objects waiting to enter
synchronzied methods. For this reason, I'm guesing,
the Java spec seems to state the selection of these
    blocked objects as "arbitrary."
As a general rule, you can never depend on the underlying threading model. The trend is to use the native threading model but that is not guaranteed by the specification.
I am trying to determine that there is no risk of
stavation in this blocked pool of threads. For
example, a FIFO implementation of the blocked-object
list would guarantee that all objects eventually
    entered their appropriate synchronized method.
When a thread attempts to acquire a lock, it only checks to see if another thread already holds the lock, and not if another thread is already waiting for the lock. Therefore you should always consider the possibility that starvation can occur.
Does anyone know for certain what blocked object
selection algorithm is present on a JVM running on a
Win32 platform? On SunOS 5.6? I believe the former
uses a priority-based, preemptive thread scheduling
with a round-robin-style time quantum to prevent
starvation. Not sure what the latter uses.
Again, you should avoid depending on the native threading model because the specification does not guarantee that the java threading model is going to behave the same way.
To guarantee that each thread can acquire the lock you will need to develop a lock that has a queue associated with it. When a thread attempts to acquire the lock it is placed in a queue waiting until it is the first element in the queue. When the thread releases the lock it removes itself from the queue and notifies the other threads that are waiting.
When using a queued lock you will not necessarily need to use the synchronized keyword on the method or block since the lock will take care of synchronization when a thread attempts to acquire the lock.

I'm working on a custom adapter and would like the adapter und channel status become read when something goes wrong in my CCIInteraction.send method.
I know that there is a callback method getStatus() in SPIManagedConnectionFactory which returns the actual status of the adapter based on the state of the related channels. I don't know how to set the status of a channel in my CCInterarction.send method.
Does anybody know how to solve this?
Regards and thank you in advance,
    Heiko

    Hi,
i have solved the problem. In my CCIInteraction I have to do the following:
    ((SPIManagedConnectionFactory) mc.getManagedConnectionFactory())
where mc is the managed connection the interaction results from.
    Cheers,
    Heiko

  • BLS Send Mail Action Block Requires SMTP Mail Server Mail Account

My SMTP Mail Server does NOT require authentication.  It appears as if MII Ver 12 requires a mail account to be filled in on the BLS Send Mail Action Block.  If the mail account field is left empty the transaction fails (error - mail account cannot be blank).  Transaction works without the mail account on Ver 11.5 but Ver 12 requires the field to filled in.  Please advise whether this is a new requirement in Ver 12 or a bug that needs to be addressed.

    Hi Sam,
What I think is, it requires one mail account to send the mail and one to receive it.
There is no restriction on receiver that can be anyone. But the sender needs to be known that some mail has been sent from his mail account. So may be because of this the added authentification is required. It will use that mail account to send the mails.
