Is warranty affected if the phone is stolen and insurance have to send you a new phone?

I purchased my iphone 4s from phones 4 u back in august, a month later it got robbed from my hotel room on holiday. I was wondering if the insurance company sending me another phone affects my warrenty or not?

Even if they sent a black model as replacement instead of white? (very annoyed about!)
Also how long does the apple proctection plan last for and would it cover a dead pixel on my screen?
Got a vertical black line on the one side of the phone which im guessing is a dead pixel

Thanks, James. Sadly, I had not upgraded to iOS 7 as I only had an iphone 4 and those I knew with the 4 who upgraded had major issues with battery life, so I decided not to upgrade. However, I know the phone was locked because the new "owner" called and hung up on me while calling the number I listed in the "This phone is stolen message" set by the cloud. Are you saying that my phone will remain locked if they don't know how to break into it? Or are you saying that it will no longer stay locked once I turned off service to the phone?

There is no way that you can locate the iphone at all.
The thief can restore it and use it as their own. You will never know or be able to tell what they do with it.

You must have had find my iPhone on, or it was locked by your phone carrier.
Call your our cell carrier first.
then log on to a computer to iCloud to erase your iPhone.
NOW... You will be able to setup with a backup.

How can you prevent a hacker from bypassing your iphone passcode? My phone was stolen and someone hacked in and has access to everything on my phone and turned off "find my iphone." This is exactly what I wanted to prevent from happening and the reason why I had a passcode.

Turn on "Erase Data" in Settings>Passcode. That will wipe the data after 10 incorrect password attempts.
Turn off "Simple Passcode" in the same place and use something other than a 4 digit pin as your passcode.
Also make sure Find my iPhone is enabled so you can locate and if necessary, forcibly wipe the phone.
