Here is the lan properties. when connected direct via DHCP.
Here is the properties when i dial pppoe.

  • RE: Database (SQL-SERVER) access problem

Have you used NT Control Panel/ ODBC to set up the ODBC data source name?
You have to define the data source (database) SecTrade as well as the
driver to be used (SQL Server). This can be done by selecting the Add
button on the Data Sources screen in Control Panel/ ODBC.
    Hope this helps.

    Hi Forte-Users,
We have a setup a Sql-Server database on a NT server. In the Forte
    EConsole,
    we have
setup a ODBC-type Resource for this server, named SERVER2_ODBC. This NT
    server
is configured as a Client Node in the active Forte environment. Note
    that
    Server2 is not
the Forte server, but has Forte installed. There is another NT server
    which
    acts as the
Forte server. NODEMGR and Sql-Server are running on SERVER2.
In our application, we have a DBSession SO with the database source
as SERVER2_ODBC, Userid=ForteInstructor. When running the application,
    Forte
throws an exception, the gist of it being as follows:
USER ERROR: (This error was converted)
Failed to connect to database: SecTrade, username: ForteInstructor.
[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no
    default
    driver specified
    We have tried
    1) Installing ODBC drivers on the NT server (Server2)
    2) Accessing local databases from Forte clients which works fine
    3) Accessing the Sql-Server database through Isqlw (Sql-Server Client
    s/w) -
    It works.
Could someone suggest what we should try to get rid of this problem?
    Thanks for any help,

  • Proxy server access problems

Hello all, I'm hoping to find a network wizard for this one...
First let me say that I have no IT support from work as they do not support Mac hardware. And the team that set up the site for us to use have no interest or time in giving us any help getting this set up for Mac since it works for PC just fine. Man I hate living in a PC world.
So it is out of sheer stubbornness and love for my mac that I am trying find the answer to my dilemma, which is this:
Setting up my Mac to access a proxy server does not seem to be giving me the same results as setting my windows box to access the same proxy server; and I can't figure out why. Here are the details:
There is a social networking control panel that I need to log in to and administer for my work. The powers that be have set up IP filtering on that site as a means of security. Only an IP from inside the company's network can access the site.
I work from home and have an IP external to the company's network. To get around the problem of access to the site the administrators set up a Web Proxy for us to use.
To access the web proxy, we first have to set up a VPN session with the corporate network. This is done by logging in through a corporate portal, authenticating credentials, at which point a program called Network Connect makes the VPN connection. The proxy will not work without first making this connection.
The problem occurs trying to connect to the proxy. I login using Safari ok. Then I'll go to System Preferences > Network > Configure > Proxies and enter in the IP for the HTTP and HTTPS. I no longer have internet access at this point which I take to mean the proxy is not working for me.
If it helps, to get this to work on Windows, I take the following steps; Login to the coporate network via portal site using Internet Explorer. I go to Tools > Internet Options > Connections > LAN settings and enter in the IP for the proxy server. At which point I still have internet access and I can now access the site I need for my work.
I've always thought that whatever you could do on Windows, you could do on a Mac. It seems like this should be something simple; like some little nuance between how each OS works with proxy servers. I've tried a troubleshot a lot of different connection approaches but still nothing. I've got my fingers crossed here guys. Please help!

Then I'll go to System Preferences > Network > Configure > Proxies and enter in the IP for the HTTP and HTTPS. I no longer have internet access at this point which I take to mean the proxy is not working for me.
I do not know the answer to your query. But I do know that the things you enter into the Network Preferences act LOCALLY, and kill your connection. That is not where the stuff you want should be entered.

    Hi,
Try to use the ip Adress.
    http://10.10.10.10:50000/rep/start/index.jsp
When it works goto (only on Windows)
    Windows/System32/drivers/etc -> "host" file.
    and set
    10.10.10.10(ip) Hostname
    for example
    10.120.102.11 myServer
So you can use the DNS Name on your Client to access the XI.

  • The Lync Server Access Edge service not starting (ipconfig / certificate problem?)

    hey guys,
I am trying to install lync server 2010 for the first time. After installing everying i have a problem on the edge server, the Lync Server Access Edge services doesn't want to start and is giving specific error:
The Lync Server Access Edge service terminated with service-specific error %%-2146762480.
i have searched in the forums, i only read that it might have something to do with the ip config or the certificates, but i have no idea what exactly.
    I have the following servers:
    sql server (domain member)
    Archive server (domain member)
    Monitoring server (domain member)
and the edge server (not a domain member)
this edge server has two nics, one with a internal address and one with a public address.
for the internet side i used an internal AD CA for a certificate, for the external side i used a go daddy certificate.
does anyone has any idea? i am happy to provide additional information.
    thx, JW

    Hey Tim,
thanks for helping me. I am using one IP address externally. And if i understand correctly i am using port 443, 444 and 5061 (as suggested automatically by the topology builder)
internally i used an internal CA and external i used a godaddy multidomein certificate,  as we are planning to use multiple domains on it.  i used the wizard from the setup. i ran a request. In the wizard i see then the follwing Subject names and
    subject alternate names:
    sip.domain1.xx
    webconf.domain1.xx
and then in the next screen i can check other domains, so i checked also the other domains:
    domain2.xx
    domain3.xx
    domain4.xx
domain1.xx  (also the first domain is here and i checked it to be sure)
while i was gathering this information i noticed that the certificate wizard says that the external ede certifciate status = invalid. So there is my problem mostlikely. Although i do not understand why it is invalid.
So when using 1 ip address externally you will need to change the ports in your topology.
Under Edge Pools - > Right click your edge pool and click edit, down near the bottom make sure "Enable seperate FQDN and ip address for web etc...) is UNCHECKED.
the first FQDN, sip.domain.com port 443(TLS), the other 2 for webconf and av just change the port numbers. so when you request your 2 certs the only names will be the pool FQDN and sip.domain and your other sip domains. on your router/gateway open the 3
ports you selected from Outbound -> Inbound. for your external DNS sip.domain -> external IP address going to your firewall/gateway.
note that your edge server is not on the domain so you will need to edit your hosts file and add your frontend pool/server internal ip address and FQDN server name.
When you get "invalid" for the certificate what cert is it? the internal CA or GoDaddy?

  • Fix many web access problems with IFS 9.0.1 on Solaris (and other OS's)...

When the installation is done according to the documentation,
web access does not work because the scripts that add entries to
the jserv.properties file add duplicate references to
    wrapper.env and wrapper.classpath. Look at the jserv.properties
file below and look at the remarked-out (#) lines of the
duplicate references. For example, look at the references to the

  • Non-SysAdmins get error 18456 Severity 14 State 11 Login Failed for user _ Reason Token-based server access validation failed with an infrastructure error.

I have a SQL 2008 R2 system (10.50.4000) where I'm having problems connecting any user that is not a SysAdmin.  Example: I setup a new SQL Login to use Windows Authentication and grant that user db_datareader on the target database.  The user attempts
to connect using Excel client or Access or SQL Management Studio and receives Error 18456.  The SQL Server Logs shows Error 18456 Severity 14 State 11 Login Failed for user _ Reason Token-based server access validation failed with an infrastructure error.
The strange part is that if I temporarily grant the user the sysadmin server role then the user can connect successfully and retrieve data.  But, if I take away that sysadmin server role then the user can no longer connect but again receives the Error
18456 Severity 14 State 11 Login Failed for user _ Reason Token-based server access validation failed with an infrastructure error.
We've turned off UAC on the client machine to see if that was the problem, but no change.
I have dropped and re-added the user's SQL Login (and the related database user login info).  No success.
    The Ring Buffers output shows:
    The Calling API Name: LookupAccountSidInternal
    API Name: LookupAccountSid
    Error Code: 0x534
    Thanks for any help.
    -Walt

Yes, you understand correctly.  The user is logging onto a workstation (not the server) with a Windows Authenticated id.  The user is using either Excel or Access or SSMS and connecting to the server using a Windows Authenticated SQL Login account.
If the account has sysadmin role (which is only for testing) then the connection is successful.  If I take away sysadmin role from the account then the connection is unsuccessful and the SQL Server Log shows Error
18456 Severity 14 State 11 Login Failed for user _ Reason Token-based server access validation failed with an infrastructure error.
(SQL Authentication is not an option here.  I must use Windows Authentication).
Any other troubleshooting assistance you can offer would be appreciated.  Thanks.

  • JNDI NIS object access problem

    JNDI NIS object access problem:
    Hi all,
After long fight, i'm now able to connect to my NIS server on my network. the initial context factory is 'com.sun.jndi.nis.NISCtxFactory' and provider url are given and i obtain namingennumeration of items in the NIS directory.
    purpose of my project:
using ypcat command we can view the services,passwd,host... objects in unix.
my project requirement is that i shd open this 'services' object in java (using JNDI probably) and shd access its content.
i'm able to obtain the object and the type of this object is 'NISCtxServices' defined in 'com.sun.jndi.nis.NISCtxFactory' package, but all the classes and methods except some are not public and so im not able to use almost all the methods in this class 'NISCtxServices' .
Can any one help me in accessing the information inside this object.
Thanks in advance! and i'm waiting!

  • EXCH2013: How to leave messages at ISP server?

Using Exchange 2013 SP1 and it serves both roles. It is not in deployment yet as we are still testing. Currently we have a problem trying to receive mail (have not been able to since testing started) and we got to thinking we need a contingency plan should
Exchange stop receiving mail for a period of time so that users could go to the ISP's webmail interface to see their mail. Plus, once we get the receive working we still want to have this "backup" to compare to for some period of time.
We use SMTP to send and receive mail using the  default connectors. Is there a setting to allow messages to remain at our ISP's server after they are brought into the mailboxes?
Or is this controlled at the ISP?
    Thank you!

    Hi,
For the ISP server, I suggest contact your ISP Support to double confirm whether this goal can be achieved.
According to your description, I notice that you are suffering "Can't Receive" issue with the new Exchange server 2013 SP1. Please correct me if I have anything misunderstand.
    Suggestions:
    1. How is the impact, can't receive internally/externally or both? All external domains or some specific domains?
    2. Please make sure the DNS can be solved.
    3. Please make sure Port 25 is available.
    4. Please double confirm the Receive Connector settings. More details to refer:
    Receive Connectors
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996395(v=exchg.150).aspx
    5. Please check whether the external senders get NDRs, and any related Error/Warning/Information messages in App Log. If yes, please paste the details without sensitive information for the further troubleshooting.
    6. Also suggest try to open a new thread on "Can't receive" issue, so that you can get more targeted suggestions.

I am new at this also, so I don't know if this helps... It is based on what I had experienced with...
There should be a "webapps" directory in any tomcat installation, I don't think it matters if it is a Linux server or NT server or a local box.
We put the WAR file inside the webapps directory, and I believed we had to restart the Tomcat service for tomcat to "recognize" the change and then automatically "expand" the war file. Accessing it from the Web will not cause the WAR file to expand... I think :D I don't think your "web hosting" company would have given you "admin" right to restart tomcat unless he/she is a good friend of yours; so you might have to ask them to do it for you... I know it sounds stupid, but I also think that tomcat need to connect with another server such as Apache, so Apache need to be running also (or some Web server that can deal connect to Tomcat); do you know what web server is running on this web hosting? I would assume Apache, but I am always paranoid about these things:D
Anyway, that's as much as I know about the subject...

  • Token-based server access validation failed with an infrastructure error

    Hi
We have a new Win 2008 Enterprise x64 server running SQL 2008
When we try to connect to the server using Windows Authentication, from a user account which is a domain administrator, we get the following message:
"Token-based server access validation failed with an infrastructure error"
What needs to be configured here for this to work ?
    Thanks
    Bruce

    Hi,
I am encountering the same error message but it is more around the login, this problem happens only on one server but it is fine on another three, my investigation show it is a ghost SID associated with AD user account
    Background
1- An Active Directory (AD) account was created for a user [Domain\UserA]
2- A SQL login was created for the account above and then granted access to a number of databases
3- The AD account was renamed/modified to [Domain\UserB]
At this stage the user would encounter an error when connecting to the server
The sql log show this error message
        Error: 18456, Severity: 14, State: 11.
        Message
Login failed for user 'domain\user'. Reason: Token-based server access validation failed with an infrastructure error. Check for previous errors.     [CLIENT: xxx]
Action on Server 1 SQL (the one with the problem)
1- Dropped the user from the databases
2- Re-Created the login from the windows account [Domain\UserB]
3- Created the user in the respective databases
But the user still unable to connect to the server
    Investigation
On server 1, the SID of the user in SYSUSERS was Matching SYSLOGINS and matches with result of SUSER_SID(Domain\UserA)
But it does not match the SID in the AD
The rest of the servers all have the correct SIDs
When I use SUSER_SNAME(Incorrect-Sid) and SUSER_SNAME(Correct-Sid) on this server they both return [Domain\UserB]
The problematic server is always returning the incorrect SID when recreating the user login and when using SUSER_SID(Domain\UserA) as if it is cached somewhere.
I can't specify the SID when creating the SQL login because it is using the Windows account
Your ideas on how to fix this problem are much appreciated
    Regards,
    DGL

Unable to download Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_ACT_NOT_READY.  Cannot open ebooks on my Adobe DE.  How do I fix this?

I had the exact same problem & this worked for me. All I needed was the first step. Good luck!!!! (copied from another thread):
"Sometimes ADE gets its registration/activation confused and in a semi-authorized state.
Uninstalling and reinstalling does not help, and indeed installation can even trigger this state.
Unfortunately, it often then gives misleading error messages about what is wrong.
A common incorrect message informs you that the ID is already in use on another computer and cannot be reused.
    Another is  "E_AUTH_NOT_READY"
This can often be resolved by completely removing any authorization using ctrl-shift-D to the Library screen on ADE (cmd-shift-D if on Mac).
Restart ADE, and then reauthorize with your (old) Adobe ID.

  • TFS 2013: Access problem when adding a AD group to members

    Hi there!
I have a big access problem. It seems I cant log into TFS if I add a AD group to a collection but I can log in if I add single users from the same group.
EDIT: The group I want to add is from another domain. Maybe thats the reason for the problem?
Any ideas? I dont want to add 150 users one by one ;)

    Hi John
I will try to answer your questions :)
There’s two domains, TFSdomain and Userdomain, right? - Yes
The TFSdomain one way trust to Userdomain? - Yes
If you add a single account(Userdomain) into your TFS Server, this single account(Userdomain) can connect to TFS Web Access or your account can connect to TFS Web Access? Your account and this single account(Userdomain) are not the same account? -
I have two accounts, one User domain accout and one TFS domain account that is TFS administrator. If I use the TFS domain account to add the User domain account as a project group member this user domain account will be able to access the TFS web access
    from the user domain.
If you add an AD group(Userdomain) into your TFS Server, the user in this AD group(Userdomain) will cannot access TFS Web Access or your account cannot access TFS Web Access? Your account and this user are the same account? Or your account included in this
AD group(Userdomain) too? - The user domain:s "domain users" group includes my user domain account. If I add the user domain:s "domain users" group as a project group member in TFS (with my domain user) my user domain account will
not be able to access the TFS web access from the user domain.
When connect to TFS Web Access failed, what’s the error message you received? - There is no error message, I am only asked to log in again.
If you cannot access TFS Web Access, how did you add AD group(Userdomain) into your TFS Server? Or once you added the AD group(Userdomain) into TFS Server, you will cannot access TFS Web Access immediately? Your account is a Userdomain user? -
I added it with my TFS user domain administer account
    The scenario is as follows:
I have a one way trust from tfs domain to user domain.
I add a user domain account as a project group member in TFS. Now this account is granted access to the project using the TFS web access client.
    I remove the user again.
I add the users domain:s "domain users" group (where my user domain account is included) as a project group member in TFS. Now my user account is
not granted access to the project using the TFS web access client.
Hope this will spread some light on the problem.
    Thanks Stefan

The solution is trash the activation.dat preference file.
Navigate to /Users//Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editions and drag the activation.dat file to the trash.
If you are using 10.7, see Access hidden library files | Mac OS 10.7 and later.
I reinstalled ADE 3.0 and life is good.
