Issue in AdHoc Report result

Hi Guys!
This is the AdHoc Report SS_PH0_48000513. When two different person runs this report based on same selection criteria then for one person the result shows 2400 hit list and for other person it shows only 200 hit list. Does anyone have any solution to this problem.
The selection criteria is employee sub group and company code and output field is pernr.

Strange results in adhoc report??

Hi Experts,
I have made changes to adhoc report in development and assigned transaction code ex: zreport to adhoc query.I executed the report by transaction code and through sq01 i am getting same results still here it is fine.
In quality when i moved changes and executed report through sq01 it is showing changes what i made but when i execute the report through transaction code zreport i am not finding any changes.moreover title of report in output list(statistics) is also differnt when compared to tile of report in output list executed through sq01(deployment).
Again i compared the title of report in output list(statistics) executed through tcode zreport in qualityand title of report in output list executed throug tcode zreport in development(deployment).here also different
i felt that whatever changes i made to query report was different one when compared to report which i executed by transaction but when i checked queryreport name by going to sq01 -> menu option "query"->more functions->report name.but the report name which i found and tcode report name are both are same.
Please let me know where exactly mistake was happenedand tell me how to solve this issue.

Issue with SSRS Report Exporting to Excel and word

When report is exporting in word and Excel getting format issue, but same report export with pdf there is no issue.

You need to be always careful when export format is Word and specially Excel. Sometimes report result looks good in Report Viewer and PDF too, but it may not in MS Word and MS Excel.
You need to understand Word and Excel limitations and align all the data regions (Tablix, Rectangles, Texboxes) in correct way.
Also, you may post the actual formatting issue that you get. (With screenshot if possible)

Sorting Interactive Report results in no data found message

Hi,
I've got an interactive report which returns results based on the :REQUEST bind variable - I've got a navigation list at the side where all the items link to the current page with different Request values. The IR works fine until I try to sort any of the columns by clicking the header and choosing ascending / descending, at which point it returns no data found.
It starts working again if I change the last line to OR :REQUEST IS NOT NULL but this breaks the functionality of the report, I want to return only the selected statuses, or all if no request variable is present. I'm guessing that sorting sets :REQUEST to something temporarily and breaks it. My query is below, any ideas?

There are known issues with Interactive Reports referencing :REQUEST value, probably due to some inner logic that also handles it simultaneously - potentially causing malfunction or deadlocks.
One workaround I've learned is to create a computation to assign :REQUEST to a temporary item (a PXX_REQUEST, for instance) and reference it in the query, instead of :REQUEST. This has worked fine for me in my experience.

Line graph issue in web report

Hi
I have a 3 queries/reports on one page in my web report. I have 3 line graph buttons, one for each query.
My issue is, in the report result or table, I have characteristic "Product" in rows and Key figures in Columns.
Product                          Month 1     Month2
XYZ          Demand
             On hand stock
             Ending Inventory
But when I hit the line graph button, it shows Product in the X (horizontal) axis and number ranges like 15000, 20000, 25000 in the Y axis.
I need to swap the axes. I tried the "swap display axis" in the web items tab, but it didn't work.
I read other threads on the same topic here and someone had suggested creating a query view, switching the columns and rows there and running the report to display the line graph as required.
If I do that, won't the report result in the table also swap the rows and columns? I want the table to show Product in the Rows and KFs in the column as it is now, but I want the line graph to show Product in the Y axis and the Key figures in the Y axis.
Any ideas on how to do that? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

This is what I did:
1) In BEX Analyzer, I opened the local view of the Query and swapped the Key figures and Characteristics. I put the key figures in the columns and Characteristics in the Rows
2) I ran my report and save it as a View
3) In WAD, I assigned the Chart to the View.
When i ran the report from WAD, it still shows the key figures or number ranges in the Y axis and Characteristics on the X axis again.
I checked the "swap display axes" option in Web Item tab, but the line graph still remains the same.
Is there another way to do this? Or am I missing something?

Text justification issue in crystal report

Hi,
I have MVC application with crystal report in it. I am exporting crystal report to PDF, everything except text justification (as we do in MS-Word) is not working. Even in crystal report viewer itself it's not working.
I have been trying since few days to solve text justification problem in CR. Well I have goggled a lot for this and found different available option to get the thing done. But that didn't solved my problem, I have read many replies on the crystal report discussion regarding the same but no result. I have tried four different versions of crystal report (13.0.5,13.0.6,13.0.9,13.0.13) as I found on the web that justify could work in these versions, but I was shocked when I didn't get anything useful.
For me it's like justify doesn't work in crystal report by any means. Can any one here tell me who has solved the text justification problem in crystal report. I have attached sample screen shot of word document where in I have specified my requirement of text justification.
Any positive reply would be highly appreciated.

Adhoc Reporting: Webanalysis vs Financial Reporting Studio

Hi,
Our client is using Hyperion Planning 9.3.0.1 and currently the business users use Financial Reporting Studio for adhoc reporting. I am wondering if they can use Web Analysis to do this? Are there any performance issues if many users are using Webanalysis at the same time? Is there anything else that I need to keep in mind before advising the client?

Hi,
Web Analysis is definitely aimed more towards adhoc reporting, it is just general adhoc reporting you can also use the excel addin and smartview.
I take it you are already licensed to use web analysis ?
Performance well that all depends on the load that is going to be put on the server, specs of machines, amount of concurrent users etc

User issue with a report supply planning area today monthly

this is a support issue....the user has an issue with a report supply planning area today monthly. The user is getting wrong values in BW, it sums PLOs and POs under production (config). for eg: BW says we are producing 46T while in R/3 we have 4T.

The issue was related to the heap size being too much and as a result the Class block memory was not getting enough memory. I think we can make a use of -XXCompressedRefs:32 parameter in the Java start up to allow the heap size to increase till 32 Gb.

Extracting Logical SQL of the adhoc reports

Hi,
I have an requirement, where I need to extract the logical SQL, of the adhoc reports. I tried using "Usage tracking", but that doesnt fit my requirement, as I need to write back the result set of the SQL queries in the database. I need to kind of automate the process of getting the logical queries from the user created reports and load it back to database. I canot use direct database request,as business users will not have this ability to use this request.
Can somebody help in ways of getting the logical SQL , apart from usage tracking, log file, or manage sessions.

Add Columns to Adhoc Reports Layouts?

Are there any config or sql injections or translations to add additional columns to the custom layouts in the Adhoc Reports in RPT?
Specifically, would like to display Related Specs when running reports for Trade Specs.

You could probably technically add related items as a search result column in a ready report, but it isn't an out of the box available result column. So it will require some undocumented customization work. I don't think the results grid is the best location for this data due to performance implications and even UI display challenges. I think your best option would be to create a BI Publisher report. Your PLM4P license includes a free limited use license for BI Publisher. This would be a good topic to discuss during a dev to dev call.

Issue Regarding Cyrstal Report Server 2008

I've found some issue using crystal report server 2008 V1. The followings are my information for your reference.
Could you kindly please let me know what you can help.
-              My client has bought crystal report server 2008 V1 and deploy on the production server (window server 2008).
-              We've developed the crystal report with command object.
-              When we tested on printing report with 2 or 3 login user, report is successfully come out.
-              When concurrent users to print the same report are about 100 or 200, then we faced Load Report Failed error.
-              I've found that the Server Intelligence Agent service is stopped.
-              When installing crystal report server, we've used the same database with our application to install report server's database connection.
My questions are,
                1. Cyrstal Report Server 2008 V1 can handle how many concurrent users?
                2. Is crystal report can run without running Server Intelligence Agent service?
                   Or this service is stopped because of too many concurrent user printing crystal report?
                3. What is your suggestion on the Load Report Failed when too many access to print report?

Out of the box, the Crystal Report Server only comes with 5 named user license. So hitting it with 100+ users would result in all kinds of issues. I'm actually surprised you can hit it with anywhere close to 100 users. In order for you to be able to get to the high number of hits required, you will have to obtain more licenses. These are available in 5 concurrent user packs and you can add up to 4 of these packs. Any more than that, you're lookign at BO Enterprise.

Issue in ALV Report

Hi,
I have a issue in ALV Report for displaying one field's data into output.
I am getting data into all other fields in ALV Report except for this field.
This field & related fields are declared as below: in final internal table.
sta_no     TYPE z3status,
status(10) TYPE c,
Here z3status is of type Char(1).
In Report
I have put a condition :
IF i_tab-sta_no EQ 1.
   i_tab-status = 'Created'.
ELSE.
   i_tab-status = 'Closed'.
ENDIF.
and to field catalog also i am passing right information as for every other field in ALV Report.
Till the point use of REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY F.M also final internal table is having status field filled.
But in output nothing gets displayed for Status field.
Can anybody tell me what can be the issue!

Performance issue in Portal Reports

Hi
We are experiencing a serious performance issue, in a report, and need a urgent fix on this issue.
The report is a Reports From SQL Query report, I need to find a way to dynamically make/create the where clause otherwise I have to make the statement in a way the exclude the use of indexes.
Full-table-scan is not a valid option here; the number or records is simply too high (several millions its a datawarehouse solution). In the Developer packaged, we can make the where clause dynamically, this basic yet extremely important feature, is essential to all database application.
We need to know how to do it, and if this functionality is not natively supported, then this should be one of the priority one functionalities to implement in future releases.
However, what do I do for now?

I have found a temporary workaround, by editing the where clause in the stored procedure manually. However this fix have to be done every time a change have been committed in the wizard, so it is still not a solution to go for indefinitely, but its ok for now.

Performance issue of BI Reports in SAP Enterprise portal -in SAPNW2004s

Dear friends,
We are integrating BI Reports in SAP Enterprise Portal 7.0 ( SAP NW- 2004s).The reports are running properly .But the issue here is reports are taking long time to open and leading it to performance effect.
Reports in BEX( Bi side) working lilttle better than EP platform.
And Even BI team is looking for ways to improve the performance.
Could you please share your ideas to implement in portal side to increase the performance.

Hello Mr. Reddy,
There are two possibilities for slow performance in BW reports, so we need to look into wether its slow in the BW system or at the frontend.
If the problem resides in the BW system then we should be able to trace the reports
and you can go for a SAP EW or GV sessin and SAP will provide recommendations.
If the problem resides at the frontend
Update the frontend servers to the latest frontend release.
Recommended Frontend Release 700
Recommended Frontend Patch 18
Update the frontend servers to the lates SAP GUI release as soon as possible.
Minimum Recommended SAP GUI Release 6.40
Your frontend PCs should fulfill the following requirements:
Each frontend PC should have 500 MHz and 128 MB main memory.
Because of a limit in the addressable memory, Windows 95 is not supported as Frontend OS for 3.X BW Systems. Please refer to SAP Notes 161993, 321973 and 366626 for details.
Please also check SAP Note 147519 "Maintenance strategy/ deadlines 'SAPGUI'".
If you still require any assistance from SAP support then raise a message under component ( probably BW-BEX-ET-WEB).
