Issue in creating webdynpro iview

Hi,
I deployed a webdynpro application in the standalone J2EE Server. I want to create the webdynpro iview for the same application in the different portal server. I want to get my application in the portal, while creating webdynpro iview. I am using NWDS 2004S. How to achieve this. Please if any one knows guide us to achievce this.

After upgrade we can create iviews using portal components but we are not able to create iview using Iview template

How to create an iview for ABAP Webdynpro Application in Portal?

HI,
I am Webdynpro Java webdynpro developer.
I want to create an IVIEW for an ABAP Webdynpro application in the enterprise portal.

The process is almost exactly the same as creating a Web Dynpro Java iView. You simply chose the ABAP instead of the Java radio button when you reach that step in the Web Dynpro iView creation process. There is a video on the topic here:

ABAP webdynpro iView issue with Internet explorer

Greetings,
We are trying to integrate ABAP webdynpro with portal using the standard SAP webdynpro iView template, we are able to successfully integrate and display on portal pages.
However if we are using IE version 7.0 browser we do not have any issues, but when we try to use IE version 6.0 the webdynpro portal pages does not display any content. A workaround was to open up the IE settings and change the setting for Navigate sub-frames across different domains to 'enable' from 'disable'.
This fixed the issue.
Also we came across information that we can change the setting to force the portal to use the css from the ABAP backend by changing the iView property 'Supply portal stylesheet' from 'Yes' to 'No'. Does this affect the portal behavior in rendering content in MS IE.
Please let us know if there are any other methods to overcome this issue, as this will affect many of our users.
iview isolation is of type 'URL'
page isolation is set to 'Embedded'
Portal page used is default framework type not webdynpro type

Creating a iView for Webdynpro in another WebAS

Hello All,
Our requirement goes like this.
1. We have a WebAS Server stand alone which hosts different webdynpro applications. We have a separate EP Server.
How do we created an iView in this EP Server for the webdynpro application that resides in the other WebAS Server ?
2. We have a training server which has many test components and unwanted files and pdk files.How do we clear all this at one stretch.

Defining the Properties Specific to the Web Application Server
1. Open the system in the System Landscape Editor.
2. In the Property Category dropdown list box in the Property Editor, choose Web Application Server (WAS).
3. Maintain the following properties:
 a. WAS Host Name = <host name>.<domain name>:<port number> (this corresponds to the Web Dynpro server location and the port on which it is running, for example(which can be a different WAS from the WAS on which portal is running), PXYZ.wdf.sap.corp:50000.)
 b. WAS Protocol = http or https (depending on the configuration of the WebAS)
4. Save the settings

Missing Loading Message in webDynpro iview

Hi,
we have developed some WebDynpros. We have created some webdynpro iview to embed these webdnypros into a portal role. When I run the webdynpro without the portal or in the preview of the iview creator, the round role of the loading message is displayed well. But when I embed the iview into the portal role, the loading message is not vissible during the webdynpro picks up the data from backend system.
We are using SAP NW04s SPS10. The parameter of the ivew to show the loading message is still enabled.
Has anyone of you similiar experiences?

Content Alignment in webdynpro iView based on user language

Hi,
We have a webdynpro application which has a search screen
(Arabic as well as English), based on the user language setting in Portal UME, the respective language text with options are displayed.
This webdynpro application runs on same WAS where Portal is running.
When we test this application standalone like typing the URL of the webdynpro application, it shows english text with Left to right aligned content in browser for user X with Language as EN.
When we test this application standalone like typing the URL of the webdynpro application, it shows arabic text with Right to Left aligned content in browser for user Y with Language as Arabic.It works fine when it is stand alone (when we directly run the webdynpro).
We created a WebDynpro iView in Portal, and we tested with user Y (whose language is set to Arabic), issue is text is properly displayed in Arabic, but the content alignment is left to right, which should be Right to Left.
Please let me know your solution/thought to the above mentioned issue/problem.

The webdynpro application works fine (alignment and content is fine)when i access it directly.
When i create a webdynpro iView and run it inside portal it is not working fine (alignment is LTR instead of RTL)
I went through the SAP help <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/6e/8aae409567942ae10000000a155106/frameset.htm">RTL Alignment</a>and tried creating new themes and created a new desktop and assigned it to the user. It is still the same with LTR alignment.
The issue is, why it is not working inside PRT, when it works fine inside WebDynpro Runtime.

Creating WD-ABAP iView and the WD Namespace
and steps taken are.
1) Created System with R/3 Credentials and System is Up and running.

2) Now i have created one WebDynPro Iview and on the Application Parameter Page which is in the wizard of Iview creation i have done thease entries.

and created Iview now When i see Preview of this Iview am getting this Error.

Issue in connecting webdynpro with EP

      I created the application in webdynpro which retrieves the current user from EP and I link my application with EP using webdynpro iview.
      The issue is when I open my webdynpro iview in EP once again it is asking me the login username and pwd for EP.
      I used the following code to get the logged in user id.

While creating a webdynpro iview, you've to mention an SAP system.Find that SAP system. For this system, in the Property Category, select WAS and enter fully qualified domain name of the server where this Webdynpro is deployed.
That could solve your problem.

How can I create an iView without visual components in VC

Hello:
I'm trying to create an iView with on ly a call to a data service inside: start point, call, end pont. But VC it's giving me errors when I compile it.
If I add a visual component to the iView: form, table, html. Iview compiles and works OK.
theer is any wat ti create non visual iViews in VC?.

I'm getting an error when I'm deploting the iView. That error is only when I deploy as Flex.
If I deploye as Webdynpro or Flex2, there are no deployments errors.
The error text is not ver specific it says that I need to check the flex log.
Do you know wher I can chech that deployment flex log?. I'm not sure if I'm checking the correct log.

Error when copying a webdynpro iview for one environment to an other

I am currently setting up a training environment for test purposes.
I have to copy some webdynpro appplication iview.
I do the export of the i view but unfortunatly when I import my webdynpro Iview, there are many properties in the new system that are missing such as application name which give the link to my java application.
Of course the iview doesn't work.
Do you have an explanation why the properties are missing? A resolution since I try many time the import.

Please check the status of SLD and JCO in content administrator >> Web dynpro in the portal (new enviroment).
then deploy your wd applciation.
then create the transport package - export for webdynpro appplication iview. and import in the new enviorment

Create webdynpro appl. to fetch data from r/3 system without bapi?

Please suggest regarding this issue.
I have to create a iview which display all the authorized link access to the user form the sap r/3 system and display it in portal.
like when we login to sapr/3 system we get a catalog of all that we can access at left hand side in a catalog ... in that similar way i need to show this iviewcatalog on the portal and the next iview at right side of this catalogiview should open the transaction which is clicked in the first iview,but the first iview should be there it should not disapper.
This first iview should be there from the login time of user to this logoff time...
no matter what ever transactions are carried on the right hand side iview...
and one more thing there is no existing bapi for the system.
I think this can be done using webdynpo with abap ,but not sure nor I know how to do it .. please help
Please tell me is it possible to do and if yes then how can this be done .
It will be helpful if anyone provide steps to do or any dounment to refer.

Publish to portal error when creating a iview

I have done complete BI-EP integration. SSO is also working fine. But when i publish a query from query designer to portal, i am geting a error when creating a iview for the query as show below.
Error:
Java system error: call FM RSRD_X_MAP_TO_PRTL_USERS_PROXY to ProgId EPD_PORTAL_B07 on host epdev with SSO not authorized: Authentication failed.
when i manually create a BI Query iview,its working fine but to create a iview from publish to portal in query designer it is througing me error.
