Issue in deploying ORDS.war

Hi all Gurus
I am following the steps from documents trying to setup ords  Installing Oracle REST Data Services to that I can use on listener to point to multiple instance of APEX.
Using APACHE2.2 >> GLASSFISH 3.1.2.2(build 5) >> APEX (4.2 and above different location ) , oracle 11gr2
Apache, GF, apex images  are on  same server ,(test env.)
This Is what I did so far.
1.
java -jar ords.war configdir /u01/apps/ora/apex_lsnr/ords.2.0.7.91.15.01
Apr 30, 2014 9:55:24 AM oracle.dbtools.common.config.cmds.ConfigDir execute

2. Deployed  I.war
3.
# java -jar ords.war setup

    Hi
    Recently, I am facing an issue with Oracle Web logic Server 12c, on deploying the war file (created from Wavemaker tool) to running Web logic server, it shows deployment health status is OK and web application is Active. But when I visit the home page of the application, it is unable to load the javascript files in the context and I am getting below error. Please you can check these errors in the Inspect window of the browser :

  • Classloader issue when deploying a war file

    Hello,
    Using Jdev 11.1.1.3 with WebLogic 10.3.2.0 when we deploy a new version of our war file we get a ClassCastException for an entity class that cannot be cast on itself ! We are using standalone JPA for persistence.
    Caused by: javax.faces.el.EvaluationException: java.lang.ClassCastException: gouv.micc.intimm.pers.model.entite.Personne cannot be cast to gouv.micc.intimm.pers.model.entite.Personne
    It looks like a classloader cache issue. This happend even if we first delete the war file before we upload a new one. The only way to solve this is to restart WebLogic. Any idea?

    Seems like a WebLogic issue - try asking on that forum:

    Hello everybody,
    We 're having an issue when deploying jsf war on Weblogic 10.3.2
    The war works fine on Tomcat 6.
    When deploying on Weblogic we got the following exception:

    Is there any fix for this issue? Please help it's been more than a month that we are crawling in the dark with this error.

  • Deploying a WAR to a cluster issue

    Hi,
    My question is that, in cluster environment after a WAR file is deployed, I use iAS Admin tool to locate the WAR file. Then I highlight the specific servlet and click on the "Servlet Component Properties" button. A dialog box popups that list out all registered server (in cluster environment) with this servlet. Is there a quick way so that going to each WAR and registering each servlet can be avoided?
    The reason I ask this is because everytime I deploy a WAR I first remove it before deploying it. So the
    registry should be clean.
    What I found is that after the a deployment of WAR1 to a iAS, say iAS1, I can see in Admin tool that the servlet within WAR1 are registered with the IP of iAS1. Ok, now I deploy the same WAR to iAS2. I go into Admin tool again and found that the WAR is now registered with the IP of iAS2, the IP for iAS1 was overwritten. What I have to do is MANUALLY add IP of iAS1 back and click "Apply" to save the change. If this action have to be done individually then it'll take ages to finish the change for my 100 more servlets, especailly when a clean deployment is required (which is what I have to do very soon).
    Any idea to avoid the tedious work? I am using iAS6 SP2. Thanks.

    Hi,
    In my knowledge there was no such issue with sp2 related to your problem. Please check that your cluster is working fine by first testing the cluster Servlet example bundled with iAS. Please ensure that your cluster if properly configured (iasconfig name is same with a common LDAP). Also it is a feature of iAS that if you have deployed an application on all the servers of a cluster and after that you want to disable/undeploy it, you just need to undeploy it on any of the servers. It will remove the common data from the registry and make the app disable for other servers.
    You don't have to undeploy the app before redeploying it again, as while redeploying, it will overwrite the previous registry contents (only if you do not change module names and GUIDs otherwise it is as good as a new different application).
    Please feel free to ask further questions.

  • Unable to deploy a war file: could path length in a war file be an issue on WIN2K?

    Hi all,
    I am unable to auto deploy a web app as a war file but has no problem to auto deploy it as an exploded directory that I drop under the
    $PortalHome/config/mydomain/applications directory of the WebLogic Server installation.
    Portal Server runs under W2K.
    I noticed that the generated war file located under $PortalHome/config/mydomain/applications.wlnotdelete contains files which path is 10 level deep and may be over
    255 char.
    Could this be a problem?
    The error I got is:

    What is the complete command line to deploy the war to a managed server, not Admin Server ?
    Our thinking is to deploy an exploded war directory but copy the descriptor files first.
    What do you think ?

    Hi,
    For a tutorial with source on how to create and deploy a simple quickstart JEE5 JPA enterprise 3-tier application on your Oracle WebLogic 10.3 server - see the following example that uses the EclipseLink JPA provider. You should be able to transition all of your mapping information (the @ManyToOne and table/column overrides and named queries for example) using either JPA via entity annotations or native extensions if you do not want to implement EJB3.
    see...
    http://wiki.eclipse.org/EclipseLink/Examples/JPA/WebLogic_Web_Tutorial
    We also have a similar version for Tomcat 6 except the JPA entity beans run outside a container-managed JTA transaction on the web container - for reference.

  • Deploying a WAR file containing .jsp and servlets (also uses JNI)

    Deploying a WAR file containing .jsp and servlets (also uses JNI) on Windows 2000
    We had problems making it initially work on Sun ONE Web Server 6.0 Service Pack 1 because of lack of good iPlanet Web
    Server documentation on deploying such files.
    This is how we went about it:
    1) Make one of the servlet and JSP (must call another Java Class) web application (.war) examples work with iPlanet Web
    Server.
    C:\iPlanet\Servers\plugins\servlets\examples\web-apps\HelloWorld\HelloWorld.war
    and
    C:\iPlanet\Servers\plugins\servlets\examples\web-apps\jakarta-examples\jarkarta-examples.war
    a) Go to your Web Server Administration to deploy the application using GUI Web Application Deploy.
    (We usually use command line, we experienced some issues with the GUI version, but maybe it is fixed in the new Web Server
    service packs)
    From browser, open http://yourserver:8888/
    Click on Select a Server:Manage
    Click on Virtual Server Class
    Click on https-yourserver
    Click on the Web Applications Tab
    Then, click on Deploy Web Application
    Enter the following -
    WAR File On: Local
    WAR File Path: C:\iPlanet\Servers\plugins\servlets\examples\web-apps\jakarta-examples\jarkarta-examples.war
    Application URI: /jakarta
    Installation Directory: c:\iPlanet\examples\jakarta-examples
    By clicking on OK it deployed the application.
    I can verify that it is deployed by selecting "Edit Web Applications" and I see the following entry:
    Edit     /jakarta     c:/iPlanet/examples/jakarta-examples
    Also, c:/iPlanet/examples/jakarta-examples should have the similar following directory structure ..
    - [images]
    - [jsp]
    - index.html
    - [servlets]
    - [META-INF]
    - [WEB-INF]
    - [classes]
    - [tlds]
    - web.xml
    - index.html
    I restarted the server and accessed it using the following URL from my IE browser:
    http://yourserver/jakarta/index.html
    Then I clicked on the JSP Examples and tried some JSP examples.
    b) Alternatively, you can also deploy the same example from the command-line.
    Make sure C:\iPlanet\Servers\bin\https\httpadmin\bin\ is in your path
    wdeploy deploy      -u /jakarta
              -i yourserver
              -v https-yourserver
              -d c:\iplanet\examples\jakarta-examples
              C:\iPlanet\Servers\plugins\servlets\examples\web-apps\jakarta-examples\jarkarta-examples.war
    Restart the web server (I don't think you have to restart, but .. might as well).
    2)Deploy your web-application
    My Foo.war has the following structure.
    You can use jar tf Foo.war to look at the file contents from command line (assuming you have JDK installed and the bin is
    in your PATH)
    Foo.war
    - [META-INF]
    - [WEB-INF]
    - web.xml
    - [classes]
    - Bar.class
    - MoServlet.class
    - [lib]
    - ThirdParty.jar
    - [natlib]
    - extlib.dll
    - foo.jsp
    Here is our application scenario:
    foo.jsp uses a class call Bar (it is not in any package). The Bar java class uses classes from ThirdParty.jar. The
    ThirdParty.jar in turn uses JNI to load library extlib.dll. foo.jsp also calls /servlet/Mo as well.
    Now to deploy it, do the following:
    (a) Make sure that within foo.jsp, you import the Bar class ( I don't know why you have to do it, but if you don't you get
    JSP compile error).
    <%@page language="java" import="Bar" contentType="text/html"%>
    (b) Check web.xml (for Servlets)
    Within web.xml, make sure you have the following mappings:
    <servlet>
    <servlet-name> MoLink </servlet-name>
    <servlet-class> MoServlet </servlet-class>
    </servlet>
    <servlet-mapping>
    <servlet-name> MoLink </servlet-name>
    <url-pattern> /servlet/Mo </url-pattern>
    </servlet-mapping>
    (c) Deploy the application
    Using command line:
    wdeploy deploy      -u /foo
              -i yourserver
              -v https-yourserver
              -d c:\iplanet\examples\foo-dir
              Foo.war
    (d) Change web-apps.xml file (for picking up ThirdParty.jar)
    It is located in
    C:\iPlanet\Servers\https-yourserver\config
    You should see something similar to following after successful deployment.
    <web-app uri="/foo" dir="C:\iPlanet\examples\foo-dir" enable="true"/>
    Change it to look like following to pick up the ThirdParty.jar
    <web-app uri="/foo" dir="C:\iPlanet\examples\foo-dir" enable="true">
    <class-loader reload-interval="300"
              classpath="C:/iPlanet/examples/foo-dir/WEB-INF/lib/ThirdParty.jar"
              delegate="false"/>
    </web-app>
    (e) Change jvm12.conf file (for JNI)
    It is located in
    C:\iPlanet\Servers\https-yourserver\config
    Add or uncomment the following lines:
    #optional - just helps with instrumenting the jsp and servlet code
    jvm.include.CLASSPATH=1
    jvm.enableDebug=1
    nes.jsp.enabledebug=1
    jvm.trace=7
    jvm.verboseMode=1
    #required for JNI
    java.compiler=NONE
    jvm.classpath=.;C:\JDK1.3.1\lib\tools.jar;C:/iPlanet/Servers/plugins/servlets/examples/legacy/beans.10/SDKBeans10.jar;
    jvm.option=-Xrs
    jvm.option=-Xnoagent
    # not sure if this is needed for iPlanet web server
    jvm.option=-Djava.library.path=C:/iPlanet/examples/foo-dir/natlib/ -Djava.compiler=NONE
    (f) Change magnus.conf file (for JNI)
    We HAD to change this file in order for ThirdParty.jar file to pick up the native C++ code using JNI. Apparently, the
    iPlanet Web Server doesn't pick the Environment Variable Path. Because when we had the directory containing the DLL just
    in Path, it didn't work.
    Change Extrapath directive:
    ExtraPath C:/iPlanet/Servers/bin/https/bin;${NSES_JRE_RUNTIME_LIBPATH}
    to
    ExtraPath c:/iPlanet/examples/foo-dir/natlib;C:/iPlanet/Servers/bin/https/bin;${NSES_JRE_RUNTIME_LIBPATH}
    (g) Apply changes from the Web Server Administration Console and Restart the web server.
    You should be able to see the behaviour that you want from your application.
    http://yourserver/foo/foo.jsp
    Hope this was helpful!!!

    - [META-INF]
    - [WEB-INF]
    - [classes]
    - [tlds]
    - web.xml
    - index.html
    I restarted the server and accessed it using the following URL from my IE browser:
    http://yourserver/jakarta/index.html
    Then I clicked on the JSP Examples and tried some JSP examples.
    b) Alternatively, you can also deploy the same example from the command-line.
    Make sure C:\iPlanet\Servers\bin\https\httpadmin\bin\ is in your path
    wdeploy deploy      -u /jakarta
              -i yourserver
              -v https-yourserver
              -d c:\iplanet\examples\jakarta-examples
              C:\iPlanet\Servers\plugins\servlets\examples\web-apps\jakarta-examples\jarkarta-examples.war
    Restart the web server (I don't think you have to restart, but .. might as well).
    2)Deploy your web-application
    My Foo.war has the following structure.
    You can use jar tf Foo.war to look at the file contents from command line (assuming you have JDK installed and the bin is
    in your PATH)
    Foo.war
    - [META-INF]
    - [WEB-INF]
    - web.xml
    - [classes]
    - Bar.class
    - MoServlet.class
    - [lib]
    - ThirdParty.jar
    - [natlib]
    - extlib.dll
    - foo.jsp
    Here is our application scenario:
    foo.jsp uses a class call Bar (it is not in any package). The Bar java class uses classes from ThirdParty.jar. The
    ThirdParty.jar in turn uses JNI to load library extlib.dll. foo.jsp also calls /servlet/Mo as well.
    Now to deploy it, do the following:
    (a) Make sure that within foo.jsp, you import the Bar class ( I don't know why you have to do it, but if you don't you get
    JSP compile error).
    <%@page language="java" import="Bar" contentType="text/html"%>
    (b) Check web.xml (for Servlets)
    Within web.xml, make sure you have the following mappings:
    <servlet>
    <servlet-name> MoLink </servlet-name>
    <servlet-class> MoServlet </servlet-class>
    </servlet>
    <servlet-mapping>
    <servlet-name> MoLink </servlet-name>
    <url-pattern> /servlet/Mo </url-pattern>
    </servlet-mapping>
    (c) Deploy the application
    Using command line:
    wdeploy deploy      -u /foo
              -i yourserver
              -v https-yourserver
              -d c:\iplanet\examples\foo-dir
              Foo.war
    (d) Change web-apps.xml file (for picking up ThirdParty.jar)
    It is located in
    C:\iPlanet\Servers\https-yourserver\config
    You should see something similar to following after successful deployment.
    <web-app uri="/foo" dir="C:\iPlanet\examples\foo-dir" enable="true"/>
    Change it to look like following to pick up the ThirdParty.jar
    <web-app uri="/foo" dir="C:\iPlanet\examples\foo-dir" enable="true">
    <class-loader reload-interval="300"
              classpath="C:/iPlanet/examples/foo-dir/WEB-INF/lib/ThirdParty.jar"
              delegate="false"/>
    </web-app>
    (e) Change jvm12.conf file (for JNI)
    It is located in
    C:\iPlanet\Servers\https-yourserver\config
    Add or uncomment the following lines:
    #optional - just helps with instrumenting the jsp and servlet code
    jvm.include.CLASSPATH=1
    jvm.enableDebug=1
    nes.jsp.enabledebug=1
    jvm.trace=7
    jvm.verboseMode=1
    #required for JNI
    java.compiler=NONE
    jvm.classpath=.;C:\JDK1.3.1\lib\tools.jar;C:/iPlanet/Servers/plugins/servlets/examples/legacy/beans.10/SDKBeans10.jar;
    jvm.option=-Xrs
    jvm.option=-Xnoagent
    # not sure if this is needed for iPlanet web server
    jvm.option=-Djava.library.path=C:/iPlanet/examples/foo-dir/natlib/ -Djava.compiler=NONE
    ExtraPath C:/iPlanet/Servers/bin/https/bin;${NSES_JRE_RUNTIME_LIBPATH}
    to
    ExtraPath c:/iPlanet/examples/foo-dir/natlib;C:/iPlanet/Servers/bin/https/bin;${NSES_JRE_RUNTIME_LIBPATH}
    (g) Apply changes from the Web Server Administration Console and Restart the web server.
    You should be able to see the behaviour that you want from your application.
    http://yourserver/foo/foo.jsp
    Hope this was helpful!!!

  • Urgent :- Issue with deploying application in Oracle Application server

    Hello All,
    Hope all of you are doing good ! I am facing an issue relating to deploying applications using the Enterprise manager. When i deploy the war file using Deploy WAR file option in the OEM, i get the following error -
    Failed to deploy web application "gCube". Failed to deploy web application "gCube". . The configuration files for this OracleAS 10G instance are inconsistent with the
    configuration stored in the repository. In order to protect the repository,
    no further configuration or deployment operations are allowed until the problem with the configuration on the filesystem is resolved. This condition arises when a prior operation was unsuccessful. The exception associated with this failed operation is:
    {0}
    . Please also check the logs located at
    ORACLE_HOME/dcm/logs to determine why DCM was unsuccessful in updating
    the configuration files on disk. Some possible causes are:
    * permissions on files
    * file contention issues on Windows NT
    * internal Oracle error
    After resolving the problem that prevented DCM from updating the configuration
    files, you may use the dcmctl resyncInstance command to resolve the problem.
    Alternatively, you can stop and then restart the active dcmctl or EMD
    process and resyncInstance will automatically be performed.
    Root Cause: invalid stream header
    Resolution: . invalid stream header
    Please could you throw some light on this issue and also provide a resolution to fix this issue at the earliest ?
    Your help in this , will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Ramanan.

    Hello All,
    Could anyone assist me with a fix for the problem ?
    Would appreciate it greatly.
    Thanks.

    Please help!!!
    Thanks,

    This seems like a JDeveloper packaging issue perhaps, or at least needs some knowledge of the JDeveloper packaging process:
    The deployment error:
    [12:52:12 PM] Caused by: weblogic.management.DeploymentException: Error: Unresolved Webapp Library references for "ServletContext@16785362[app:webapp1 module:webapp1.war path:/coagov spec-version:2.5]", defined in weblogic.xml [Extension-Name: jsf, Specification-Version: 2, exact-match: false] Seems to indicate that the weblogic.xml file you are embedding, has a <library-ref> element pointing to a JSF 2.0 shared-library deployed on WLS -- and that shared-library is not available.
    So you fixed it by doing this:
    Deployment -> Edit WAR deployment profile -> WEB-INF/LIB -> Contributors : checked jsf2.0, jstl1.2, jstl1.2tagsAnd thus, you have JSF 2.0 packaged in the WEB-INF/lib.
    Can you check that it is actually included in the WEB-INF/lib directory of your WAR file? Perhaps it's not being included for some reason.
    Have you also tried deploying the WLS jsf-2.0.war shared-library to the server you are deploying the web app to?

  • Problem deploying a War file to server

    Hi,
    I'm trying to deploy my war file a simple servlet program given by Google Webtookit to my Resin server v2.1.13.
    I created a war file and dropped it into the webapps folder. When I try to launch the application, I get the following error. My class is in the right directory, I am able to launch it on my local resin server on my machine. When I try to deploy it onto a 3rd party server, is when I get the error. I have checked my web.xml file and made sure they are pointing correctly to the class I want it to point to. Where am I going wrong?
    Thanks,
    Harry

  • Issue wafter deploying web application

    Hi,
    I have deployed a war file from my local directory in my PC to Sun Java System Web Server 7.0.8 with the context uri as /SpeedTest. The issus is when I try to access the war file using
    http://hostname:port/SpeedTest
    it presents a prompt that is asking for username and password whereas i have not configured any access control for this uri nor there is anything inside the war to ask for username and password. This is quite a starnge issue and any help in this regard will be greatly appreciated.

    Welcome to the Apple user discussion forums
    I'll hit a few of your questions - others will have to do others since I'm not up on some of the issues you ask about
    4) is there an easy way to review/delete items (in 6, i run a basic slideshow and delete on the fly -- is this still workable in 7?)?
    Yes
    5) Are there significant functionality benefits of 7 over 6 (e.g., does the noise function or shadow/highlight really offer significant benefits? The Events seems obvious, but I'm more interested in "under the hood" experience
    Yes
    Loseless editing - web galleries - events
    a) Is import any faster? As my library is growing in size, the import is getting overly slow
    It is fine for me (only you can compare to your current) - I have 20542 items using 26.3 GB in 271 events
    7) Is there a full-screen edit mode?
    yes
    8) Can you configure events so that it's not just by day?
    yes
    9) Is 6's "roll" structure as mirrored in the file system still available in the Events approach, or is the database structure that once you've converted a library, there's no going back?
    Events replace rolls (if your rolls are named - NOT the default rollxxx name - they will come across as is - to me events are rolls with much more capability and a new name - some people are VERY putoff by the change (but most love it) for reasons that I simply do not comprehend
    10) What is the effective (or advised) maximum library size? I've probably got over 60GB of images in my libraries now, with 20,000 images or so. If 7 can readily digest them (and preserve all my albums, etc.), then I'd love to combine them into one, unless that will kill performance, make the database unstable, drive backups into interminable waits, etc.
    The advertised max is 250,000 photos - I have about the same number of photos as you in about 1/3 the space - there are a few users here with libararies your size. With iPhoto Library Manager it is easy to maintain multiple libraries if you choose
