Issue in invoking Webservice developed in JDev 10.1.3
Hi all,
I have a requirement wherein i am passing a XSD to Java converted Bean Class(using JAXB) as input to a Simple Webservice which follows J2EE1.3 standards.
when i am invoking the same from Internet Explorer it is working fine and giving expected results but when the same is invoked using WID(Websphere Integration Developer 7.0)
it is showing the following error.
<SOAP-ENV:Body xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
<SOAP-ENV:Fault>
<faultcode>soapenv:Client</faultcode>

<faultactor>/ObjectWS-Project3-context-root/MyWebService1</faultactor>
</SOAP-ENV:Fault>
</SOAP-ENV:Body>
Any solution to this issue will be really helpful..
Thanks,

Thanks John..!
if you have any idea abt the error,
Can you please tell me what the error is stating and is there any workaround to this particular issue
Thanks,

Facing issue in invoking an external webservice from 11G Bpel
Hi,
I am facing an issue in Invoking PIM webservice from 11G soa.. getting the following error in the invoke activity(Invoke calls PIM webservice).. the same thing used to work in 10.1.3.4 where i set username/pwd in the bpel.xml for that partnerlink. here in 11G i did it through "Configure WS policy" and setting oracle/wss_username_token_client_policy to true..
the error message is

i compared the payload from 10G and 11G the only difference i could find is the order of soap body and header is different.. is it because of this??
i checked in wsdlt the order is correctly declared (first header then body).. but whenever i am creating a variable on this Msg type.. and expanding the variable in jdev the order is getting reveresed.. not sure why?? there is no change in the flow from 10G to 11G.. apart from the migration.Thanks.. This works..
But it gets lost whenever we redeploy that process..
And of course even though I am seeing http user & http password can be configured in composite.xml.. It is not taking effect..
After redeploy, still the HTTP UserName & Password is blank.

Issues invoking webservice hosted on Aqualogic Proxy service.
Hi,
This is my first "Hello world..." forum experience.
I'm facing problems while invoking webservice hosted on Aqualogic Proxy Service in my local machine;
I'm using Weblogic 10 (Oracle Service Bus 10gR3 ).
1) I've used weblogic's "weblogic.wsee.tools.anttasks.ClientGenTask" to generate java code from wsdl file
2) Created a stand-alone client
code fragment :
try{
ServiceActivationNoticationService notificationService = new ServiceActivationNoticationService_Impl("http://localhost:7001/ServiceActivationInterface/FroxyServices/ServiceNotification".concat("?WSDL"));
ServiceActivationNoticationPortType notificationServicePortType = notificationService.getServiceNotification();
Empty response = ((ServiceActivationNoticationPortType_Stub)notificationServicePortType).serviceNotification(notification);
catch(){
System.err.println(ex.toString());
logger.debug("Service Notification Exception...", ex);
throw new Exception("Service Notification Exception...", ex);
Comiling successfully but when I run I'm getting the follwing exceptions:

But If I create a soap message manully and invoke the same webservice, it works fine.
Please reply soon....
Thanks in Advance.Hi James,
Thanks for your reply, and directing me to appropriate threads.
The problem is with one of wsdl element.
My requirement is an empty element:
so I've created
<element name="empty">
<xsd:complexType>
<xsd:sequence/>
</xsd:complexType>
</element>
when I use this element for output type as below...
<wsdl:input message="service" type="xxx:service"/>
<wsdl:output message="emptyResponse" type="xxx:empty"/>
weblogic clientgen code is able invoke service successfully but the response is causing problem.
But when I changed empty element to
<element name="empty">
<xsd:complexType>
<xsd:sequence>
<xsd:element name="abcd" type="xsd:string" minOccurs="0"/> I'll not use this at all.
</xsd:sequence>
</xsd:complexType>
</element>
Everything is working fine now in this case. ************************************************************************
But I'm not sure what's wrong with
<element name="empty">
<xsd:complexType>
<xsd:sequence/>
</xsd:complexType>
</element> because specifications says this is the way to define an empty element type.
What's wrong with this....
Thanks.... to Hello world! Response.... -
Hi,
Does anyone knows if it is possible or adviseble to develop with JDev 10.1.3.0.1 to deploy the processes in OC4J BPEL 10.1.2.0.2?
If it is, is there any issues involved?
Tksin general you could develop bpel 10.1.2.02 compliant processes, but it would create a bunch of possible hazards you could run into - deployment structure, new services, workflow and so on .. add'ly you cannot deploy from jdev 10.1.3.1 to bpel 10.1.2.0.2 server -- all in all not really recommendable, and not really supported too :D

Problems invoke Web Service -
Getting error connection timed out while invoking webservice from bpel.
Hi,
I am trying to call a secure webservice developed in .Net having extension .svc from the bpel service and in response i am getting error
com.oracle.bpel.client.BPELFault: faultName: {{http://schemas.oracle.com/bpel/extension}remoteFault}
messageType: {{http://schemas.oracle.com/bpel/extension}RuntimeFaultMessage}
parts: {{summary=<summary>exception on JaxRpc invoke: HTTP transport error: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: java.security.PrivilegedActionException: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: Message send failed: Connection timed out: connect</summary>
I am able to call this web service from the java programme using HTTPClient by setting the username/password and soapaction in http Header but not from the BPEL process. This .Net service is synchronous in nature. I also set the proxy in opmn.xml but didn't got any success.
Please reply me ASAP. Need urgent help.
Thanks.Are you working on 11g ? if this is 11g
How are you invoking the webservice ...does it have any authentication..
If the webservice which you are invoking has basic http authentication...
1. In the composite.xml file, right click on the reference and configure WS policies. In security tab, add a security policy named"oracle/wss_http_token_client_policy"
2. Add two binding properties for the reference
(i) oracle.webservices.auth.username
(ii) oracle.webservices.auth.password
and provide the username and password for those two properties...
Just try this out...
Thanks,

Develop in JDev 10.1.3.5, test and deploy to Oracle Weblogic 11g
Hi,
I have run into some important issues when trying to migrate my Jdev 10.1.3.5 applications to JDev 11g for deployment to the latest Oracle Weblogic Application server version, see threads:
Thread: migration problems ADF/ Struts 10.1.3 -> 11.1.1.3
migration problems ADF/ Struts 10.1.3 -> 11.1.1.3
Thread: ADF/Swing/JClient application migration problem from 10.1.3.5 to 11.1.1.3
Re: ADF/Swing/JClient application migration problem from 10.1.3.5 to 11.1.1.3
- so using JDev 10.1.3.5 with deployment to Oracle Weblogic 11g is a must for us.
Questions:
1) Is there a way to use Oracle WEBLOGIC 10.3 for debugging inside JDev 10.1.3.5?
2) Can I develop with JDev 10.1.3.5 + JDK 1.5 and create an ear to deploy to Oracle WEBLOGIC 10.3 Application server with JDK 1.6 64bits?
3) Which version of ADF should I install on Oracle WEBLOGIC 10.3 to run my 10.1.3.5 application?
Your help will be appreciated
FredIs there a way to use Oracle WEBLOGIC 10.3 for debugging inside JDev 10.1.3.5?While you can't replace the embedded OC4J - you can use an external WLS server and do remote debugging on it. http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/remotedebugwls-086628.html
From inside JDeveloper you can also deploy directly to the WLS server.
Can I develop with JDev 10.1.3.5 + JDK 1.5 and create an ear to deploy to Oracle WEBLOGIC 10.3 Application server with JDK 1.6 64bits?Yes you can. Note that so far we haven't officially certified ADF 10.1.3 on WLS 10.3 - but from various customers and testings we think it works ok. We might certify this combination in the future.
Follow these steps to get the deployment working:
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/deployingwls-091640.html
Which version of ADF should I install on Oracle WEBLOGIC 10.3 to run my 10.1.3.5 application?You always install the version of ADF that matches the one your application was developed and compiled with. -
What do I do to deploy a webservice build in JDEV 11.1.1.1.0 to run/deploy on a Jdev 11.1.1.0.2
Since the Webserver wizard from PL/SQL is not the JDEV 11.1.1.0.2, i have created the webservice in JDEV 11.1.1.1.0 (easier). Now the production webservice is running JDEV 11.1.1.0.2, so i need to deploy it there.
I have tried to test it in JDEV 11.1.1.0.2, but get a lot of error (see http://pastebin.com/m405909cd)
Can it be done, or do I have to create the Webservice on JDEV 11.1.1.0.2, from the bottomThanks for your effor Arun.
Even this issue can be simulated with Database driven EO/VO. Just now checked. Created Designation table in HR schema by using your script. After that
1. Created Designation Entity object from HR schema
By default, Eo attribute got generated with following data type. Let it be as is.
DesigId - Integer
DesigName - String
CreatedUserId - String2. Created DesignationView View object from Entity. Exposed following Client interface method in DesignationViewImpl to create new record without making the transaction dirty.
* Client API. Creates new record without making the transaction dirty.
public void createNewRecord()
Row row = this.createRow();
row.setAttribute("DesigId", new Integer(-1));
row.setAttribute("CreatedUserId", "Raghuraman");
System.err.println("isDirty before row state is set to STATUS_INITIALIZED : " + this.getDBTransaction().isDirty());
// change the status to initialized so that this record will not be included into transaction until user explicitly
// key-in any value in UI.
row.setNewRowState(Row.STATUS_INITIALIZED);
this.insertRow(row);
System.err.println("isDirty after row state is set to STATUS_INITIALIZED : " + this.getDBTransaction().isDirty());
}3. Mapped this view in UI as table with DesigName text field alone as editable and autoSubmit is also set to true. Create new record using client Interface method. Try to enter value and tab out. You will get this error.

ADF forms based on BPM human tasks - Invoking webservices/view objects.
Hi All,
Is anyone aware of whether the following is a valid implementation that has been carried out before.
1. ADF forms based on BPM 11G human tasks.
2.The ADF forms invoke webservices via Webservice data controls. It is pertinent to note that the webservice bring back complex data types. We've tried writing a few forms, resulting in data benig brought back, but not being able to print them to the screen.
3. The ADF forms also use View Object based on sql to bring back tables of data. If view objects are embedded within the forms, the applciation gives rise to a null pointer exception.
Considering the form will be invoked via a BPM worklist entry, is there a setting or configuration we should consider before hand. Is this feasible, is there knowledge of this being done commercially.
Any examples or information regarding the same will be immensely helpful.
Thanks and Regards,
Preethi.
NB : I have posted this in the BPM forum as well as I feel it is relevant to both BPM and ADF.Hi Joonas.
Plese let me explain me better for your understanding
A big summary for what I meant it's the following:
1- In the procces you made, when you add the HT activity, you have to implement it, this means declare the input(s) parameters you want. This implementation create the .task file.
2- Create an application, and projects as HT you have. Each poject are based on the .task file, and automatically create a Data Control (for each project based on a .task) with all you need.
This w'll be an empty application, so you can customize it all you want. The task selected should have all the parameters previously defined. Those parameters can change if you want.
2- Create a page(s) in the task flow for the task implementation. You can even split the the payload of the task in differents pages, create your custom pages and any logic you need.
3- An important aspect is how to match these application with the HT implemented in the process. It's possible, it's a configuration en the Enterprise Manager.
4- Deploy your application
All these are explain in the book I mentioned
Th book you can find it here:

RatnakarHello,
There is not enough information in your post to determine an exact
cause. When you say the web services are working fine, do you mean from
the home/test page? What version of WLS? Is this with a static or
dynamic client. I'm a bit concerned about what seem to be stubs showing
up on the traceback that would indicate another SOAP stack (com.hp.ws)
could you tell us a bit more about your configuration.
Thanks,
Bruce
