Issue in passing inputs to concurrent program

Hi all,
I am using ECEPOO(out:purchase order ) to extract approved PO data.The concurrent program asks for output file path as one of its inputs.
When I pass the file path to it ,the concurrent program fails saying *'INVALID_DIRECTORY_PATH'*.
I dont know what is the right file path format to be passed.I need to know what is the format for the file path.
Help me with your suggestions and example formats.
Thanks n regards,
Goutham R

you can find the path by looking for any previous concurrent program which ran successfully.
one way of doing that is from the Submit Request window , set the days to 500 say and serach for all request with same request name.
Now select any of the request whhich has completed successfuly and from details get the parameter passed to that query.
Other way is
select fcpt.concurrent_program_id conc_prog_id
from apps.fnd_concurrent_programs_tl fcpt
where user_concurrent_program_name = <Conc prog Name>;
Now from above query use the concurrent_program_id in below query :
select fcr.*
from apps.fnd_common_requests fcr
where fcr.concurren_program_id = conc_prog_id

  • Issue in getting output through concurrent program

    Hi,
    I have developed a procedure and registered in APPS and passing 2 parameters.
    while running the concurrent program i have entered values for 2 parameters and submitted.. but it is going as null (log file) and i am not getting output.
    This procedure is working fine in Back End.
    Please help me to fix it.
    What could be the issue...
    Thanks
    Winsky.

    Hi,
    stored procedures MUST be coded with errbuf and retcode OUT parameters
    which MUST be defined as first parameters of your procedure if you want to
    use the procedure as concurrent request.
    errbuf parameter comes first, retcode comes second, then the rest of your
    parameters.
    Populate retcode with 0 if logic within your procedure completes successful,
    use 2 if the program ran into an exception (either a logic exception or when
    an unexpected error should occurr) and use 1 for retcode, if your logic
    should indicate a warning such as "no data found for processing" or something
    like this.
    When defining concurrent program in sysadmin responsibility do NOT define
    parameters for errbuf and retcode, only for the rest of your parameters.
    That's all - in short.

  • Issue with class loading -  Java concurrent Program

    Hi ,
    We are facing a strange issue for one of our customer.
    Scenario :
    We have a Java Concurrent Program (A.java ) which refers another Java class (B.java) , we modified the file B.java for a fix and created a patch. after applying the patch and bouncing the apache ,we found that B.java is loaded the old version of the class file.
    We asked them to restart the concurrent manager and related services, still we see that old version of B.java is loaded. (confirmed by adding code throwing exception - throw new Exception from a specific line and found that its not getting thrown at run-time)
    Any clue on this?.
    Thanks
    Joseph George

    Deployed this file both tier - Database server tier and Application server tier.
    I have face same issue, Concurrent program not picking file application server tier. its picking file from database server tier.
    Thanks, Avaneesh

  • How to pass parameters to concurrent program report from Forms Personalizn

    Hi All,
    I am trying to run a report from a menu entry in the AP Invoice entry form. For this I have done the necessary steps of creating the menu entry and am assigning the values for the 2 parameters to a global variable and then launching SRS form.
    In SRS form created an action to assign the global variable value to work_order.parameters. I can invoke the SRS OK except that my 2 parameter values appear concatenated in the first parameter itself and are not getting assigned to each of them seperately.
    my global variable assignment is as follows :
    =${item.inv_sum_folder.vendor_name.value}||'.'||${item.inv_sum_folder.vendor_site_code.value}
    and my work_order.parameters value assignment is as follows :
    =select nvl(${global.kmg_invalid_po_gv.value}, ${item.work_order.parameters.value}) from dual
    It passes parameters OK if i replace custom report with standard AP report. I also made my parameters to be free text (17 character value set) to not validate input, but still no joy.
    Any ideas why this is not working ?
    Thanks in advance.

    As Francois said in his answer:
    e.g.:Form A call FORM B
    In form A (Button's or menu's Trigger code)
    DECLARE
    param_list_id  ParamList;
    BEGIN
    param_list_id := GET_PARAMETER_LIST('EMPNO');
    IF NOT ID_NULL(param_list_id) THEN
    DESTROY_PARAMETER_LIST(param_list_id);
    END IF;
    param_list_id := CREATE_PARAMETER_LIST('empno');
    ADD_PARAMETER(param_list_id, 'EMPNO', TEXT_PARAMETER, EMPNO);
    CALL_FORM ( 'FORM B.FMX',HIDE,DO_replace,NO_QUERY_ONLY,param_list_id);and in FORM B create a parameter EMPNO (e.g.: varchar2) in node tree(parameter) and at Form level (e.g. WHEN NEW FORM INSTANCE read parameter-
    or you could create a GLOBAL variables
    or, still,Global procedure in LIB

  • PL/SQL log messages are not printing from Java concurrent program

    Hi,
    I have a strange issue while submitting the Java concurrent program through PL/SQL.
    I have a PL/SQL concurrent program which will invoke the Java concurrent program inside the package by use of "FND_GLOBAL.SUBMIT_REQUEST". It worked and submitted successfully. From that Java concurrent program we are calling some other PL/SQL packages and printing some log messages over there. But problem here is the request is only printing the Java log messages in view log but not the PL/SQL log messages.  But if I submit the Java concurrent program directly from SRS form at that it is printing both Java and PL/SQL log messages.
    I am just wondering how the log messages has not printed. Please provide your inputs to solve this problem.
    Thanks
    Suriya

    I'm adding log messages in the package body , but these messages are not printing after completion of concurrent prog.
    Any suggestions.

  • Manuals users should not be able to submit a concurrent program at a specific time frame:

    Hi
    Please let me know is it possible to restrict some users to submit a Concurrent program during a selected time frame .
    Eg we have an issue in which Process Lockboxes concurrent Program is submitted by the batch user and is also by the Users manually from Front end .What I want is that during a particular time frame everyday say from 12:00 AM to 6 PM I want to restrict manual users to submit this program ,whereas the Program can be submitted by the Batch user any time  .
    Please let me if its possible to achieve this and how .
    Thanks

  • How can i control concurrent programs?

    Hi
    When ruinning GL & OPM concurrent programs, de-grades server peformance. How can i control it? I want to restrict the user not to submit or does not run during office-hours. How can it be achieved?
    Regards
    Ariz

    Ariz,
    Please mention the application release, the database version and the OS.
    Was the performance accepted before? If yes, what changes have been done recently?
    Is the issue with standard or custom concurrent programs? Also, please mention the concurrent program names (if possible).
    Do you run "Gather Schema Statistics" concurrent program on regular basis?
    To find out why those concurrent program affects the performance, enable trace as per (Note: 296559.1 - FAQ: Common Tracing Techniques within the Oracle Applications 11i/R12) and generate the TKPROF file.
    You could schedule the concurrent program to run at certain times -- See "Oracle Applications System Administrator's Guide Documentation Set" for details.

  • Setting arraysize for concurrent programs which does huge select

    Hi All,
    E Buzz : 11.5.10.2
    Database : 10.2.0.4
    We have performance issues in few of the concurrent programs which does select on big tables, is there a possible way to set/increase the arraysize for the concurrent program.
    Through sqlplus, before running the select statement we are setting as " set arraysize 5000" which is reducing the run time of the select by 10 times.
    Please advice if there are any such options to increase the arraysize for the concurrent programs without modifying the code.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Rakesh

  • Concurrent Program running very slow.

    HI,
    We are facing the issue in one of the concurrent program.
    The same program is running fine in other instance. Below is the only difference found in two instance.
    The Instance where Program is running fine have 32 GB SGA(problematic instance have 15G).
    The gather stats is not run from August.Thoug in correct instance , It ran daily.
    the table have 32 GB Data.
    Below is the trace file. Can some give some pointers on this.
    Increase in Elapsed time: In N1 it is taking 489 secs whereas in S1 it is 1385 secs. All other values i.e. disk, query, rows return etc are same. If we look into Event waited on, there is substantial increase in Total Waited time for db file% events. This suggest poor IO response in S1 as compared to N1.
    Please suggest on this. Details are provided below.

  • Pass input value to a concurrent program of type PL/SQL procedure

    Hi,
    I have created an executable program which is based on "PL/SQL Stored Procedure" method and created a concurrent program which calls this executable. It is available from SRS.
    The relevant stored procedure requires an input variable as parameter.
    How can I pass this parameter when calling the concurrent program from SRS? I tried to follow the same logic as when passing parameters while calling SRS based on "Oracle reports", so create a new parameter, but "token" field is disabled.
    Please help me which is the trick here.
    Thank you.

  • Passing concurrent program parameters thru OA.jsp?akRegion

    Hi, I'm trying to create a submit button thru a personalization in order to print a custom expense report (rdf).
    Thru a personlization, I've been able to create a button and set the "Destination URL" to use OA.jsp?akRegionCode=FNDCPPROGRAMPAGE......
    I'm almost there, but the only thing left is that I'm trying to figure out how to pass parameter the the concurrent program in the destination URL.
    For example, I've created an item thru a personalization
    ID : XX_SUBMIT
    Destination URL : OA.jsp?akRegionCode=FNDCPPROGRAMPAGE&akRegionApplicationId=0&programApplName=XX&programRegion=Hide&scheduleRegion=Hide&notifyRegion=Hide&printRegion=Hide&&programName=XX_EXPENSE_REPORT&P_ACCOUNT_NO={$ReportNumber}
    Prompt : Print Report
    Target: _blank
    When on my expense report page, on each line there is a button to print the report itself. Basically, I'm calling FNDCPPROGRAMPAGE and hide a couple of sub-pages and then I want to be able to pass the report number the the concurrent program 'XX_EXPENSE_REPORT'.
    My problem is that if in the concurrent program definition I uncheck "Display" parameter, the report_number shows in the URL but doesn't get transferred to the report so my output is blank. The report didn't receive the report number value but I saw the value in the URL.
    If I check the 'Display' parameter, after clicking on the "Print Report button", system ask me for the Report number input which I don't want to do.
    I'd like to pass it automatically to the concurrent program based and not input it.
    Does anybody knows how to solve or is it possible witout extending controller and other stuffs..
    I'm am missing something ?
    Thanks for your help.

    Wee too face similar issue.
    Are you populating default falue for Report Number from Database sequence?
    if yes you can handle this in 'XX_EXPENSE_REPORT' (in PLSQL or RDF based on your execution metohd).
    another oprion is dont hide the parameter page, instead make the parameters read only using controller extension.

  • Parameter Passing from Concurrent Program to XML Data Template

    Hi All,
    I have a xml data template which is attached to a data definition. The data template contains a SQL query and some parameter definitions. One of the parameters is p_emp_id. The data type of the parameter is "number" and the where clause that uses the parameter is as follows:
    AND employee_id in (:p_emp_id,DECODE(:p_emp_id,126,130,-99).
    The data definition is attached to a concurrent program which has a parameter based on a valueset. Format type of valueset is char. Validation type is table. Inside the table definition, the table is employees. value column is emp_name type is char. meaning column is emp_name type is char. ID column is emp_id type is number.
    The above where clause condition fails when the conc program is run. In the log file I can see that the value passed is 126 from the valueset. If the query is run independently in TOAD and value passed is 126, the where clause returns rows.
    Kindly let me know what could be the possible issue. Let me know if the question is not clear enough.
    Thanks,
    Amit

    Hi Ashish,
    Thanks for replying.
    I mentioned that the Id column of the VSet is emp_id right ? Isn't the Id column value passed ?
    Moreover I also mentioned that I could see in the log file that the emp_id value is being passed and not the name. I could see in the log file p_emp_id=126. There seems to be some problem with the data types and all.
    Thanks,
    Amit
