Issue in retrieving Optenset text using FormattedValues

I have a plugin, registered on create of record in post operation. From PluginContext, I got that entity record and tried to read the Optionset text using formattedvalues. But Formattedvalues for that field is not available though that optionset field has
value. Below is the sample code snippet that I have used.

Earlier this code was working fine. But it is throwing error "the given key was not present in the dictionary" now.

The Target InputParameter does not include any data within FormattedValues. You can get the data through the Crm metadata, as Andrii suggests above, or you could do an additional Retrieve of the record (though this depends on whether the plugin runs on
a pre or post step), which would return data in FormattedValues

Here is what I am trying to Achieve.
In Create Notification IW21 , They need 5 Long Text in Custom Tab ( Say Tab Name is MBR ).
TAB1 NOTIFICATION Standard Information , TAB2 REFERENCE OBJ , TAB 3 MalFunction , Breakdown Standard one...... TAB 7 ( Custom Tab ).
In Custom Tab , I added 5 LONG TEXT ( its 5 WHY Concept ).
When the User enters data in 5 Long text , it should store long text along with Notification number when save.
But Notification number will be generated @ the time of SAVE , but before that its just shows as
%0000000001 ( and Number will be generated 1000065479) at Save.
How to achive this .
I did this:
Added 5 Custom Container. and In PBO / PAI
PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT.
MODULE STATUS_0100.
PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
MODULE USER_COMMAND_0100.
IN PBO
   CREATE OBJECT TEXT_EDITOR1 ,    CREATE OBJECT TEXT_EDITOR2,    CREATE OBJECT TEXT_EDITOR3 like wise 5
   CALL METHOD TEXT_EDITOR1->SET_TEXT_AS_R3TABLE ,    CALL METHOD TEXT_EDITOR2->SET_TEXT_AS_R3TABLE .. Like wise 5 , So when the user Click on Custom Tab ( MBR ).
It give 5 Long text.
When he click tab1 or tab2 or tab3 .. and again tab MBR , still data is available.
How to store this data for future retrival ( IW22 or IW23 ) ?
Its working fine when I enter first time and goes here and there and finall save .
IN SAVE BADI , I imported the Long text and created Standard Text SO10 with Notification Number with LONG1 , LONG2 .. means 1000065479LONG1 as standard text.
But not working when I entered first time and go to tab1 and tab2 and then to MBR tab and added few more lines , its not exporting full lines and in IMPORT ( SAVE BADI ) giving ZERO Lines.

This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. For instructions, launch the System Preferences application, select Help from the menu bar, and enter “Set up guest users” (without the quotes) in the search box. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode* and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Shut down your computer, wait 30 seconds, and then hold down the shift key while pressing the power button.
When you see the gray Apple logo, release the shift key.
If you are prompted to log in, type your password, and then hold down the shift key again as you click Log in.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
*Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t boot in safe mode.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of steps 1 and 2.

How to retrieve the Text entered in the Text Box provided in the UWL Inbox

I have created a workflow with user decision task. for that task in UWL inbox i provided a text box using XML Code, but i couldnt retrieve the Text entered in the text box. I hope the text will automatically upload in the "_Attach_object" container element of the Workflow, but it couldnt upload in that, If anyone can help me to solve this issue.

UWL - Retrieve Rejection text entered via UserDecisionNote

Hello SDNers,
I am using task TS20000131 for expense report approval process. I have setup UWL configuration for the same and every thing works fine except the Rejection text.
In UWL configuration I am using UserDecisionNote and DecisionKey for including a mandatory rejection reason / text.
However, I am not able to retrieve the text entered via UWL in the backend ECC system.
I am able to see the text entered via UWL - show memo option in the further steps of the process.
Where does the text entered get stored?
We are on EP 7.01 and ECC 6.0 EHP4.
Can someone help me by guiding me in the right path for this?

This was a little tricky.
I was not able to locate the entered text initially.
The text was getting stored as an attachment in the workflow.
The UWL config I have above worked fine.
To locate the text entered via Rejection Reason, please do the following:
1. After you enter the text and perform the appropriate action from UWL, login to your Backend system and go to transaction SWI1.
2. Select your Work Item / Dialog Step by double clicking on it.
3. Click on the "Log" button
4. Click on the "Details" icon for the step where you entered the rejection text.
5. At the bottom, now you should see the details of the selected step. In the details, you should one step with executed action saying "Attachment added". Here if you click on the "Office Document" link from the Object column --- you should see the Rejection text entered via UWL.
Let me know if you are still facing the issue.

C#: Issue reducing ListView Flickering by using Begin/EndUpdate and or using AddRange

I'm trying to reduce ListView flickering because I load over 250,000 items into a listview (5 columns x 50,000 ListViewItems), which takes about 5 minutes. I found two potential solutions but cannot get either of them to work.
MSDN BeginUpdate/EndUpdate
- Is one solution which is supposed to prevent redrawing until reaching the of the For/Loop cycle. However, I have these strategically placed as demonstrate by this source and it still does it.
MSDN ListView.AddRange: Is the second option recommended in the previous link, and attempts to reduce flickering by adding a range of listview items as opposed
to doing so individually. The issue here is I'm not able to figure out how to convert my string array of values to an array for listview values (ListViewItems[]). This is also compounded by the fact that whatever I do, I have to prevent cross-threading
by passing through a delegate and method. This is the solution I think I will need to implement but I need your help.
This is the code ("Loading()")s wrapped in the BeginUpdate/EndUpdate, which doesn't appear to work, maybe because this method is within an async thread. This method is also where I want attempt converting my string to a ListViewItemCollection
to see if the "AddRange" will help reduce or eliminate the flickering.
The Additem() method below that is what I will have to tweak if I can, with some assistance, get the "AddRange" option working.

That was a great suggestion! It worked perfectly!
I solved two problems with in one new learning moment. This took care of the flickering and loaded in less than 3 seconds with 60,000 entries.
In response to Phil, I absolutely agree in any other case. However, this will meet the applicaiton requires and how the users intend to use it.

Strange issue with rights of account, used by SSIS (Foreach Loop Container does not return file names without Admin rights on server)

Hello everyone.
Faced very strange issue with account, which is used to run SSIS package.
The specific package uses Foreach Loop Container to retrieve file names within the specified folder, and put them into Import file task.
The package is set up to run under specific service account. This service account is given all permissions (Full control) to the folder where source files reside.
So the issue is: SSIS package fails to execute this task (Foreach Loop Container and then Import), and shows that no files are found in the directory (although files ARE there).
Once we're adding the service account into local Administrators group on the SQL Server, it works! Removing - does not work again. We cannot leave the service account as SQL server's admin as it's prohibited by our IT policies, and is just a bad practice.
Any ideas, please?

I use one of the list positions as the text for a link in two different spots. For now, lets only talk about the line:

Since I am generating these controls at pageLoad, I can't make them <asp:Linkbutton>s. And since they are anchor elements, I don't have access to an onCommand attribute or onservercommand attribute.
All I want to do is access the content from inside the specific link tags that I generate on link click and set it as a session variable. That's what I would like my UserProfile_Click function to do. I cant commandargs it in like i can with a linkbutton's
OnCommnad attribute, however.
My fear is that the onserverclick attribute resolves so something else on pageLoad normally and since I am generating it the way I am similar to the way a <asp:linkButton> resolves to a generated JavaScript.
Any help?

Wifi: my Cell phone will remember 10 wifi connections. So delete any you don't use often and your home wifi and try to enter home wifi again.
if it still won't connect to home wifi, call your internet provider for help. You may need a newer router or different settings Or upgraded service. Your phone seeks the best connection and will refuse lesser connections.
last resort. Backup the phone. Do a full reset, then restore as new with the backup.
if still not fixed, go back to apple and insist on repair or replacement.
HOWEVER. voicemail is not a wifi issue, it's a carrier function, which is why the SIM card is a suspect.

Problem in populating PO item text using FM:SAVE_TEXT

I am having an issue with SAVE_TEXT FM,
I need to populate the item text field:
This FM works fine if the Item text field is blank and i am populating it with text, say "This is a test case",
How ever if the text field is already populated say the item text field has "Testing", my requirement is i will append the new text to the previously existing, in this case it should come as "Testing This is a test case",
For doing this i am reading the existing text using READ_TEXT FM and concatenating both the texts separated by space, and passing this to i_lines, how ever the O/P which i get in the text field is "Testing".
Please advice.

once u use the save_text also
with save_text u are updating the STXH table .
there is one field in stxh table which is once updated shows the text in the sceen.
or u can run a bdc put the default text where u want to put and afterwards when u use create_text and commit_text,u ll be able to see the text in the screen.

Can I select a rectangle in pdf document, identify the bounds, and then retrieve the text with vba?

I am using MS Access 2010 VBA and acrobat X, and AcroExchg. I can manipulate and search pdf documents without difficulty. I would like to programmatically capture the text in a rectangle that I have drawn on the document with a mouse. It appears that If I can obtain the bounding rectangle that I could use AcroExchg.PDTextSelect to retrieve the text. Is there a way to retrieve the coordinates of a mouse drawn rectangle in a pdf document. In other words the equivalent of select, copy and later paste the text into another document?

I have reviewed posts from the adobe forum that indicate that obtaining the coordinates from a user drawn selection are not available through automation with AcroExch, but that function would be available .through a plug in. Unless there is information to the contrary I will look to using menu commands in Acrobat

1. It sounds like what you need is to set the starting version number since your revision number increments in whole numbers, it would match up to SharePoint once the starting version number is set. You can potentially create a new custom field in the
library to manually track the version of the uploaded PDF document, but this might not match up with SharePoint's own version number and could get confusing. Another possibility is to upload dummy versions of the PDF document until the SP version
matches with the revision version and then delete these dummy versions.
2. When you upload the PDF document again into the library, it should prompt you to see if you want to replace the existing. If you proceed with the upload, it should replace and increment the SharePoint version number.

When I use the highlight tool in a pdf document and then save the document, the next time I open the document the highlight is still there, but the whole page does not contain any text anymore. Totally blank. How do I retrieve my text?

Well, you need a PDF viewer – and that would be Adobe Reader.
Those parameters only work for web-served documents, not for local ones.

Go to Settings-Sounds-Text Tone and change to None. You're referring to the sound when posting a message to someone else, correct? The only issue is if you set to none, you will not hear the incoming either.

Retrieve unformatted text from JFormattedTextField

Hi everyone,
I'm using FormattedTextField to define my formatted text fields and I'm using MaskFormatter to set the format.
I've been trying (with no success :( ) to find a way to retrieve the unmasked text that has been set for a text field.
For example, if the formatter is :
new MaskFormatter("(###)###-###"), then the text field will display the input as:
(342)123-455.
I need to retrieve the text as : 342123455.
I expected to find a parse or a getUnmaskedText methods in one of these class, but there is none.
Any idea will be appreciated.

Using formatter1.stringToValue("...") with a string that's not formatted return a parse exception. Try: formatter1.stringToValue("1234567890").
Using formatter1.stringToValue("(123)456-7890") returns (123)456-7890.
valueToString returns the formatted text or a parse exception is the string is incomplete: (111)23_-____
I hope I explained myself correctly.
I want to get/set unformatted text using a Formatter.
I've also tried to set an unformatted text to the field by using setText.
This call: field1.setText("1234567890") - will truncate the last 2 digits ....
So, again. My application saves the unformatted data. I want to be able to display it as formatted but retrieve it and set it as unformatted data.
