Solaris 10
Oracle Solaris Studio
I build a new project from existing code
Set custom Makefile that use a GNU GCC
Issue on C++ code assistance:
- some times GCC C++ include file not found
- some time doesn't find external include file
- some .h (some times all) and .cc are excluded from code assistance
What Do I have to do if for instance C++ assistance didn't find <vector>
What Do I have to do if all .h are excluded from C++ code assistance or are assign to custom build tool?
Is there a tutorial to configure in the right way code assistance when we have a custom Makefile with GNU GCC compiler?

Showing GL, PA Period error when create new Project

Hi All,
I am facing an Issue while creating a Project through Template, though I have opened PA Periods and GL Periods of current, but still showing following error
"Cannot copy a budget to a period which is out of the range of system defined periods (e.g. PA period or GL period)"
Please help me in resolving this.

Hi
I assume your template budget has periods within the range dates of the template project, between the start date and the completion date of the project.
When you copy the template to create a new project, enter the start date of the new project as the start date of the template. If your project start date is different from the template start date, the system will try to more the end date, and may also try to move the budget periods, so those will keep the same lenght, but starting from the new project start date. In those case you might be creating budgets in other periods then the original template budget.

Performance issues when creating a Report / Query in Discoverer

Hope you are can help, it involves a performance issues when creating a Report / Query.
I have a Discoverer Report that currently takes less than 5 seconds to run. After I add a condition to bring back Batch Status that = Posted we cancelled the query after reaching 20 minutes as this is way too long. If I remove the condition the query time goes back to less than 5 seconds.

Hi Rod,
I've tried the condition (Batch Status||'' = 'Posted') as you suggested, but the qeury time is still over 20 mins. To test i changed it to (Batch Status||'' = 'Unposted') and the query was returned within seconds again.
Ive been doing some more digging and have found the database view that is linked to the Journal Batches folder. See below.
I think the problem is with the column using DECODE. When querying the column in TOAD the value of P is returned. But in discoverer the condition is done on the value Posted. Im not too sure how DECODE works, but think this could be the causing some sort of issue with Full Table Scans. How do we get around this?

It's probably the fields highlight color of the application, which you can change via Edit - Preferences - Forms.

And in what program? You need to be more specific. Creating conditional forms is of course possible, but the procedures will depend on the actual program and target medium. HTML forms work differently from PDF...

Primary key when creating reports with forms

I'm new to APEX and I'm creating a report with forms using the wizard. I've checked the 'Include Analysis Pages' checkbox. When I select the 'add pages' button I get the following message:
Table has no primary keys defined. A primary key is required when creating reports with forms.
I know that the table does have a primary key because I defined it and also it is visible in the Sql workshop / Object browser and Toad.
Am I missing something or is this some sort of bug?

You're missing something. This message means you've not told APEX what the primary key is. You shouldn't have been able to get passed the page in the wizard that asks for it though. Can't describe where it prompts for it from memory, but it shouldn't be hard to find.

VS 2013 - Settings lost when creating new project

I am having this is odd issue with my VS 2013 settings. I setup VS 2013 with all my custom settings and colors. I can open and existing project and my settings with be there. If I create a new project all my settings are gone. I
backed them up so I can import them and everything looks correct again. Is there something I need to do to make the settings permanent?

Like Kulasangar's suggestion, the real issue would be related to how you custom settings and colors in your VS IDE. For example, generally some settings under TOOLS->Options->font and Color or color theme like the following screen shot in
VS IDE, it would be saved to your current VS settings file, so it still have the same feature if you create a new project with the same settings.
But certain settings just were used for your current projects, I mean that they are not saved to your current VS settings file. So it would change to the previous settings if you create a new project. So you would check the
real settings file and make sure that which settings are saved to this file.
Or you didn't enable the settings when you export the settings file, so it would have this issue when you use this settings file next time.

Issue in creating new project or model

Hi,
I am getting error message when i am trying to create new project or model.
This is the error "java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00001: unique constraint (ODIW.PK_MOD_FOLDER) violated". Please tell me how can it be resolved.

The clue is in the constraint name, you are trying to create an object and the code of that object already exists in your repos- Have you renamed any objects and skipped past a warning about changing codes on existing objects ?

I had the same issue then I found out all you have to do is to set the default view to List before opening any previous or new project and it worked, credit goes to this user below who found the solution.

I was able to resolve by workaround:
1. Closed all open applications
2. relaunch Finder
3. run sudo find / -name ".DS_Store" -exec rm {} \;
4. this removes all .DS_Store old files on the computer
5. launch finder and set default view to "LIST VIEW" as shown here:http://macs.about.com/od/usingyourmac/ss/Setting-Finder-Views-For-Folders-And-Su b-Folders_2.htm
5. rerun the offending application and file chooser works

Problem in ESS Build when creating the project "Import can't be resolved"

we are using ESS and MSS 600 for ERP 2005 and EP 7.0.
Once the cms INBOX components are imported to Development, I have started my development.
In the Build process, when I am trying to create the Project for ess/us/bank inactive DC,
It says: "Build with warnings"
It is showing the couple of warning in General User Output as:

When I open the project in "Web Dynpro" perspective and look at the implementation of any View ... I see the error at import statement:
import com.sap.xss.hr.per.us.bank.detail.wdp.IPrivateDetailView; (For Detail View)
It says : The import "com.sap.xss.hr.per.us.bank.detail.wdp" can't be resolved
How should I proceed?? I verified for other components as well and getting these import error:
I looked in the package folder and there is no folder with the name "wdp" in "com.sap.xss.hr.per.us.bank.detail"

I have followed "JDI Cook BOOK" for creating tracks and imports. In the "NWDI COOKBOOK" it also says to include "EP BUILD TOOL" apart from "DI BUILD TOOL" for the build time dependency of a component. But i couldn't find "EP BUILD TOOL" any where else, is this causing all this mess? When I look at my build time dependencies for SAP_ESS and SAP_MSS it has got :

Try closing the nwds and open it again, if problem not solved then from your .dtc try to find that file which is missing and add in bulidpath and compile.

Issue when creating a new email account on Adobe BC

Hi,
I got a big issue when I tried to create a new email account for my site, which is a very email account to me, and I had been using that email address for over 10 years.
Here is the issue, When I created this email account, Adobe BC keep telling me that account has been created (please see the screen shots below), but I did not see this email account on the BC's backend email account list at all. I tried to create that email for over dozen times, it just won't work!
Please anyone who can help me on this, or anyone from Adobe BC tech support team, please contact with me. Becasue I having hard time finding your tech support telephone numeber.

You are saying that you have been using that email address for over 10 years. So you are trying to make an address which already somewhere exists?
That brings me to another thing - is the DNS setup made well? In order to make email address work, you should edit the A-Name & NS. Sometime even more settings (depend on domain registrar).

Error com/sun/faces/config/ConfigureListener when creating/opening project

I have installed creator and everything was working fine. I was able to develop some projects and deployed fine. I have closed my creator and reopened it again. From then it startted giving this problem.
I am unable to create a new project. When I click on Create New Project button on welcome page, it asks me the project name and the directory. Once I enter the name for the project and click on OK there, nothing comes up and the welcome screen remains there. Now there is a red cross mark at the bottm left that shows com/sun/faces/config/ConfigureListener. It behaves the same even if I try to open an existing project.
I believe this problem started after I upgraded my patch to 112785-43. But even after I removed this patch nothing happens. Reinstalled few times but still it shows same com/sun/faces/config/ConfigureListener at bottom left corner.
Any ideas ?

Got it finally .. The user settings directory is created as[b] //.Creator/1_0 instead of /.Creator/1_0. I know that I need to remove the folder .Creator/1_0 but could not find in the root directory. Went in to // and found the .Creator folder there. Deleted the folder and reinstalled it..
