Issue with changing songs

i have been using ipods since a while..moving from 2nd generation nano and up...
i bought a 7th generation nano a while back and i am kind of frustrated with the interface.
while listening to a song from a playlist and i want to cycle through the same playlist to look for other songs, most of the time, when i swipe back, it gives me the main menu...so i have to tap on music, tap on playlist, select the playlist once more and cycle through the music in the same playlist....
previous generations nano didnt have that issue, if you were listening to music and you want to select other songs, you didnt have to cycle through main menu etc...
my question is : Is it a software issue and how do i remedy that situation...

I have the same problem, more common in the AAC downloaded files from itunes, not old MP3s or imported tracks from CDs. Many of my tracks switch to the next song with exactly 51 seconds remaining. Few switch in the first 30 seconds. I have not had any success restoring the ipod or deleting and then re-adding the entire music library. The same tracks do the same thing on my old 2G 20gig ipod. I think the problem lies in itunes 6.0 and greater versions.

where I am using Crystal Reports 2008 SP 3 fix pack 3.3 and a OLE DB connection to a SQL 2008 R2 server. Running on a computer on the network where the report can see the original development server is fast, other computers where that server is not available are hanging 20 seconds before coming up.
I am using the same code from the Crystal Sample app to change the connection on each table. I found that the slowness comes the first time the ReportDocument object is accessed to get the collection of database tables, before the connection info is set.
Fix pack 3.4 was mentioned in that post. Does fix pack 3.4 fix that issue? I don't see fix pack 3.4 on the downloads page (https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap%28bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==%29/bc/bsp/spn/bobj_download/main.htm)

I just found on the reports that were having the issue there was a SQL Expression. Per this thread:

There was an issue with that and the fix is not out til the end of Feb so I found a way not to use the SQL Expression and the speed is much better.
However, your information provided led me to this post:

And I am also experiencing an issue where the table location is not changing on one subreport and I will look into that as a possible solution.

Zen - AAC: Playback issue with long songs (± 15 min.)

I made some tests with AAC Itunes plus files, and I've experiencing playback issue with long songs (when it's about 5 minutes or longer, like the second movement of Beethoven's third).
During?playback, there is random artifacts added, never at the same place.
I cleaned up my Zen 6 Gb and even formated it, and the problem still occurs. The latest firmware is installed.

The Zen does in fact support AAC playback, but it's tricky--I've been dealing with this issue for a while, and I think it's finally solved. First of all, when you say "skipping," do you mean that the track skips ahead further into the same track, or does it skip to the next song with an error message like "There was an error with the audio file"? My problem was with the latter. There are a few possible solutions:
. Delete the erroneous track from your Zen, then re-transfer; in my experience, this corrects the problem, although sometimes it takes a couple of tries.
2. Make sure your AAC file is in iTunes Plus format (you can choose it in the ripping options in iTunes).
3. If you haven't already done so, upgrade to Windows 7. This means upgrading to WMP2, which recognizes AAC files and can transfer them to your Zen. It also means you can download a version of Creative Centrale (from the Creative Support site) specifically for the Zen, which replaces the Zen Media Explorer and Creative Mediasource, and which seems to handle AAC transfers much better (so far, I haven't noticed any of the playback errors, but you never know!). By the way, WMP2 and Creative Centrale will also transfer album art easily to the Zen.

Are there any issues with changing IP address of an ACS v5.3 system after initial setup?

I am migrating from ACS v4.2.1 to v5.3. I want the final v5.3 system to assume the IP address of the original 4.2 machine so I don't have to change any configs on the network devices.
Are there any issues with changing the v5.3 system IP address AFTER the initial setup?

I tried it without a problem. I changed the ip address of the WLC many times.
You have to make sure though that:
1-) You change the switchport accordingly to the appropriate vlan if the new ip belongs to a subnet of a different vlan.
2-) Make sure that all AAA clients configured to use the new IP address of the ACS servers.

I changed also by normal ip address command and it works. but of course the server must be standalone before doing that step (i.e. no secondary ACSs registered to it and it is not registered to other ACSs in a distributoin).

Issue with changing ZeroViewForNonAdj and ZeroViewForAdj

We have an issue with ZeroViewForNonAdj and ZeroViewForAdj settings.
Our goal is to load every third month from Planning to the forecast scenario. We started with April and had the ZeroViewForNonAdj and ZeroViewForAdj settings as YTD. When we loaded July we realized that the settings were wrong so we changed them to Periodic. This however didn't change the way the zeros are presented in HFM.
Do you have any solution to this on how we can get the periodic zeros to be visible?

Hi Nicklas,
If you change the scenario settings you really need to clear out the scenario and re-load all the data in the scenario to allow HFM to re-derive the periodic values.

I have a sync issue with any songs name track 1 or 2 so on ..even though my itune shows I have the play list right but after i sync the same 20 tracks play very different tracks, it doesn't happen when I sync other songs that actually have names

I have a sync issue with my ipod, anytime I synch a playlist that has generic song names instead of actual names like track 1 or track 2 so on even though my itune library shows and plays the song, but after a sync my ipod will play a different song. Weird issue with Purchased Song!

I just downloaded "Your Graudin Angle" by Face Down. The song is listed for 5:12 but nothing plays between 3:48 and 5:12. What is wrong?

Issues with importing song data and artworks

Hi all,
I am having annoying problems with importing songs to iTunes. I recently reinstalled my OS (Windows 7) and iTunes. Now, that I want to import all the songs, I'm facing some difficulties:
1. iTunes just won't import song data for some albums, although they are clearly included in the song. Windows Media Player has no problems with them, it is just iTunes. Funny thing, so far it only happens to songs previously encoded by iTunes...
2. A very general problem: iTunes doesn't import artworks properly, coming with the files. Even if it is music that was previously imported by iTunes. I can see the artwork in the Windows Explorer and in the Windows Media Player... but not in iTunes. But then again, sometimes, it works automatically... maybe 1 out of 6 albums...
Any ideas? maybe it's the ID3 tag version, script issues (UTF, vs. ASCII,...)

Update: I had a couple of more such issues, where the album and/or the artist were imported as "unknown". When I went into the ID3 tags, I saw, that ALL OF THEM had a "0" written into their comments. And ALL OF THOSE albums were either imported through through, or bought from iTunes. Apple Hurray. :-/

Weu2019ve tried a lot of different ways to resolve this issue, but are getting every time the different result.
Probably someone deal with that issue before and know how to correctly resolve it.
Weu2019re using Crystal Reports Runtime Components X+ (X, XI, XI R2) u2013 all of them has this issue.
We need client application to connect to multiple data sources u2013 user chooses report, chooses data source and we show the report for specified data source.
The data sources are tables or stored procedures stored in different databases on different servers.
For sure, every data source for a single report has the same structure, but that doesnu2019t matter.
The issue is: when the name of the database on one server is the same as the name of database on second server, the connection caching occurs.
How we can check that:
1.       Weu2019re running report for Server1:<DBN> - report shows data from Server1.
2.       Weu2019re opening second report for Server2:<DBN> - report shows data from Server1.
3.       Weu2019re closing application and run 1-2 in opposite order, now both reports show data from Server2.
Weu2019ve tried different approaches u2013 below is a code sample that opens the report for specific connection.
Juts to be sure that no one will ask u2013 u201CAre you sure youu2019re passing the correct connection info etc.u201D. Yes! We are sure because weu2019re trying to fix this issue for a long time and tried a lot of different approaches and still cannot find the right solution.
The code looks like below. This is VB6 code, but also the same situation was tried on VC++ 6.0
Weu2019re not looking into CR.NET solution for now.

The result of above code is the following:
1.       If we will pass the same viewer and will use different Server u2013 the report will be displayed correctly
2.       If we will pass different viewers and will use different Server u2013 the reports will contain same data
The result of above code also depends from the version of Crystal Reports the report was designed in:
1.       For Report designed in 8.5 u2013 passing of the same viewer with same connection info second time will refresh report
2.       For Report designed in X, XI, XI R2 u2013 no refresh
Also, a slight modification of the above code helps for reports designed in XI to work properly, but not for reports designed in X and 8.5:
1.       Before calling LogonServer, make the following: DB = DB & u201C;u201D & Int(rnd()*32767)
That makes report designed in XI to display properly in different viewers, but doesnu2019t have any impact to X and no any impact to 8.5

This was not changing server - did not realize it was a caching problem as you suggested. That makes sense. So anyway, then of course I threw a verify database statement on there, before I get the data. Now looks like this:
#1 Load Report
#2. Pass in parameter values (dummy values that will generate schema of table without having to actually run long running procedures, i.e. select (cast 1 as int) as somefield1, cast(2.0 as numeric(10,0)) as somefield2
#3 Set "Table Log in info"
#3b Verify the database which seems to be a necessity:

#3c Re-populate the report with real parameter values, same as #2 but this time with the ones that will generate the real data
#4 go get the data

This does work, some of the time. When the datasource underlying report are tables, it works. I made a dummy crystal report with lots of different types of params (stored procedure underlying database) - this also worked!
Unfortunately, when I run this against the majority of my reports, I get this stupid "invalid mapping type value", for which I have not been able to resolve yet.
I also tried putting a myreport.SetDatabaseLogon("","") -- what would this do, clear it out? (saw this referenced somewhere).
Then I tried putting the real connection info in there as well ...
myReport.SetDatabaseLogon(uid, pwd, serverName, DBname)
I put this setdatabase thing before I called verifydatabase, which is where the process is bombing out and giving me invalid mapping type for the reports that do not run.
At this point I am still working on solution. I have tried creating dummy report that used same parameter types as a report that was failing and voila - the dummy report worked. Anyway, let me know if you get your problem fixed and I will do the same. Looks like you are using a different method that I didn't notice "LogOnServer"

Issue with change in segments of COA.

i need to change the entire structure of COA (Segments).
What will be the effect of the accounts which is existing in the application? will my existing accounts will effect along with data associated with?

structure that allows for expansion and development of new categories.
Warning: Plan your key flexfield structures carefully, including
segment information such as segment order and field

End of pasting. Note that warning part. You are really playing with fire if you start changing your GL Flexfield structure. I suppose it can be done (anything is possible), but we have never attempted that here. The good news is that it is the code combination id that is stored in most all Oracle tables. So as long as you don't change the code combination id value, most of your tables are not impacted. Then you just have to deal with the code combination table itself and the flexfield structures, I am guessing. But this is something that you want to test very carefully before attempting to change production. I would even talk to Oracle support to see what advice they can offer (probably will tell you to buy Oracle Consulting to help you with this).

I have recently changed the IP address of my system and configured the new IP address in the SOAP configuration to point the latest one. But my SOAP adapter is still pointing to the old IP address(instead of new one). When a message is being processed by my SOAP adapter it prompts with an error :
"Delivery of the message to the application using connection SOAP_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System failed, due to:
com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: Connection timed out:connect: java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect."
After performing steps i.e., Restarting the SOAP adapter channel and Clearing the cache at OS level we were not able to get rid of the error. But when we did PI restart then the issue has been resolved and the SOAP adapter is pointing to the new IP address.
But the issue here is, we are not happy restarting the system restart for this. Instead, is there any way to resolve this DNS to new IP address by caching the IP address somewhere in PI.
Please post your comments regarding the issue and the steps to follow in solving the issue as soon as possible.

Issue with changing Access Service in ACS 5.2

Hi,
I am working on lab setup where I installed ACS 5.2 I created new access service and used it in existing service selection rule (Rule-2) earlier but it didn't work. Later I created new service selection rule and applied new service access rule. However even after this change it keeps applying predefined default access access service. Please refer attached picture for better understanding.
As shown, I want Aks-Rule to work and apply service 'Lab-Policy' however it keeps referring Rule-2 and applies 'Default Device Admin' access service even after I disable it.
I have to restart ACS service from CLI console to make it work. Is this a bug or am I missing anything. Please advise guys.

Since the policy AKS is top in sequence under service selection rule so it should hit for sure. As you wrote that even after disabling the default device admin, then also request is hitting the same and restarting the ACS services resolved the issue. The symptoms of your issue are exactly same as stated in this defect.
CSCuo93378 Certain browsers cause ACS database corruption
Due to this issue we have seen cases where request hits the disable and default policies without any reason. Actually accessing ACS via chrome mess around with all the operators in conditions.
The only workaround is to access all the rules and conditions in supported browser. Ensure all the operators are correct, save the changes and restart the ACS services.
The issue seems to be fixed in ACS 5.5 patch 5

OIM: Issue with changing AD group membership

I'm trying to add/remove groups in the AD child form and I get the error below.
- I can successfully change properties on the main form, such as last name, etc...
- I don't get why the errors come up from the schedule task API..ex: com.thortech.xl.schedule.tasks.ADITRes ??
- I've tried tracing this all the way to the .jar file using a decompiler... I think it has somethign to do with either the Group DN or the IT resource, but can't tell which.
- I've successfully Reconed all Groups/OUs.
- I don't see how it can be the ITResource since I can change attribs, unless it's looking at the IT resource of the Schedule task.
EDIT: I'm using OIM 9102BP11 with latest version of the ADconnector (9.1.x)
I should also note that this was working perfectly fine until I tried to move to GCADITResource. Even when I move back to regular ADITresource, provision a new user, i keep getting this error.

The individual rows in the AD user group object child table contains references to which IT resource this group refers to so if you switch ADITresource back and forth it is very easy to get things out of synch.
The exact structure of references between the rows in the child table, the IT resources and the DN of the groups is a bit complex so I can't tell you by heart exactly how it should be but take a look into this and hopefully you will be able to spot the issue.

I've had a recent issue with downloading songs from the store, and they won't show up in my iTunes library, only in my purchased playlist. Anyone know how to get recent purchases to show in the music library?

Am i the only one with this issue?

when you play the CD in your laptop on your home screen a Cd should pop up under the name of the album. Than when you open itunes it will probly say something like "let this CD download" or something like that. If it doesn't than automaticlly while the CD is importing to your itunes a page will pop up with a progess of the CD download.
