Issue with creation of SSIS package - reading from XML

Good Morning,
having a slight difficulty here and more than this, am afraid solution is pretty straight forward. I am trying to read an XML-file and save the rows to a CSV file (late ron it should be sent to SQL-database).
Am having this input XML
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-16"?>
<DataSet>
<xs:schema id="NewDataSet" xmlns="" xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:msdata="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:xml-msdata">
<xs:element name="NewDataSet" msdata:IsDataSet="true" msdata:UseCurrentLocale="true">
<xs:complexType>
<xs:choice minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="unbounded">
<xs:element name="ROW">
<xs:complexType>
<xs:sequence>
<xs:element name="COLUMN" type="xs:short" minOccurs="0" />
</xs:sequence>
</xs:complexType>
</xs:element>
</xs:choice>
</xs:complexType>
</xs:element>
</xs:schema>
<diffgr:diffgram xmlns:msdata="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:xml-msdata" xmlns:diffgr="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:xml-diffgram-v1">
<NewDataSet>
<ROW diffgr:id="ROW1" msdata:rowOrder="0">
<COLUMN>1</COLUMN>
</ROW>
<ROW diffgr:id="ROW2" msdata:rowOrder="1">
<COLUMN>2</COLUMN>
</ROW>
</NewDataSet>
</diffgr:diffgram>
</DataSet>
but when running the SSIS-package, I get this
no errors are shown, but also no rows are written/processed.
Why is nothing read here?

by the way, when I split the schema and the XML data, having those 2 files
data.xml
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<NewDataSet>
<ROW >
<COLUMN>1</COLUMN>
</ROW>
<ROW >
<COLUMN>2</COLUMN>
</ROW>
</NewDataSet>
schema.xsd
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<xs:schema attributeFormDefault="unqualified" elementFormDefault="qualified" xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:msdata="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:xml-msdata">
<xs:element name="NewDataSet">
<xs:complexType>
<xs:sequence>
<xs:element minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="unbounded" name="ROW">
<xs:complexType>
<xs:sequence>
<xs:element minOccurs="0" name="COLUMN" type="xs:string" />
</xs:sequence>
</xs:complexType>
</xs:element>
</xs:sequence>
</xs:complexType>
</xs:element>
</xs:schema>
then result is fine

  • I just restored my 13" MBP i5 at the apple store to the newest version of Lion after issues with a previous Time Machine backup from Snow Leopard- this time I created a new account and just ported files and folders, and now MS Office doesn't work. Help?

    I just restored my 13" MBP i5 at the apple store to the newest version of Lion after issues with a previous Time Machine backup from Snow Leopard- this time I created a new account and just ported files and folders, and now MS Office doesn't work.
    ^^ that's the main problem. Here's the full history.
    I bought a new 13" i5 MBP, early 2011 edition. I had an old white Macbook 2.14 ghz core2duo on Snow Leopard. I attempted to port over my time machine backup, but encountered problems in that my User was inaccessible from the new computer after the import finished, and I had to go in and change the root password, etc, and for some reason or another, I couldn't install any programs at all from that administrator's account. By "couldn't" I mean I could install them, but upon installation they would never boot. So, I took it to the apple store and did a clean install from the most up to date Lion OSX. Then, I created a brand new admin account, instead of trying to import the old one, and things seemed great. Then, I just imported my old files from the TM backup, but not any system settings, permissions, or user data. Just my Docs, pics, vids, apps, and itunes stuff.
    Here's where things get weird again. I imported this stuff under the name "old", but all of these folders have a red negative sign on them, marking them as restricted. So, from my main admin account, I cannot even peruse these folders. Since I didn't import user data, I can't sign in to the "old" account to change permissions. I already tried to change the permissions from system preferences, but that didn't change anything. And now, for whatever reason, of all the apps that were imported then, MS Office is the only set of apps that does not work. When I click on it, it just says there was a problem and asks if I'd like to send a report to apple. I tried reinstalling it to no avail. I'm an English student, so i really need access to Word. Can anyone help? The Apple store is a major detour for me and would like to fix this issue myself.

    Most likely you have Office 2004 which are PPC-only applications and will not work in Lion. Upgrade to Office 2011. Other alternatives are:
    Apple's iWork suite (Pages, Numbers, and Keynote.)
    Open Office (Office 2007-like suite compatible with OS X.)
    NeoOffice (similar to Open Office.)
    LibreOffice (a new direction for the Open Office suite.)

    Is anyone else having issues with their mail , where the reply from the person you just contacted contains very old emails from a different contact ?

    I mean that I sent an email to a contact of mine yesterday. His reply contained a stream of very old emails I had received in 2009 from a totally different contact all together !! The reply email was in my inbox as being from the original person I sent the email to. This is starting to happen more regularly now , so is a problem !

  • Hi am having issues with getting the list of users from the Active Director

    Hi am having issues with getting the list of users from the Active Directory, can anyone help me with this!

    Hi Jason,
    Try this:
    1.  In Ultiboard select Tools>>Netlist Editor>>Pins, press the Delete button
    2.  Select all nets in the Select the Net to Delete dialog and then press the Delete button.  This will clear all nets in the layout, don't worry all traces, parts are still on the design.
    3.  Go to Multisim and select Transfer>>Forward annotate to Ultiboard.    This will add all nets that you removed back and it should fix the pin problem

  • Problem reading from xml

    So this is the thing: I have a regular xml file I want to
    read from flash, locally it works as it should, when I upload it
    things go wrong. Nothing seems to happen.
    If I use the safari activity window it shows me the xml file
    is either "forbidden" or "method not allowed". I already changed
    the permissions on all the files, still nada...
    I have no clue as to why is this happening, I'm leaving a
    copy of all the files here
    http://www.aquigorka.com/files.zip,
    but I said locally it works, the problem is online. If any of you
    have any ideas to figure out what's happening I'd appreciatte it.
    Cheers
    Gorka

    Let me clear a few things:
    It works offline as it should:
    A flash movie calls a static method from a class to bring
    data from a database.
    Usually I don't read from xml, I read from php (that is whay
    I need the sendandload method), but to debug I transformed the php
    into xml because I couldn't figure out what was causing the
    problem.
    So far, I think the problem is the sendandload method: if I
    change the method to just load it works fine (offline and online),
    if I turn it back to sendandload it just won't work online (offline
    it works smoothly).
    I know the onLoad action is being triggerred as it should,
    but the xml object is empty (why?), I'll try and see if the
    security settings have something to do with this.
    Any other suggestions will be appreciated.
    Thanks for the help so far, but I haven't found the answer
    yet.
    Cheers
    Gorka

  • Please help with this issue "To Run a SSIS Package outside of Server Data Tools You must install Drived Column of Integration sercvies of higher" From C# app

     i have searched all over the google and here on MSDN(I have read all the threads related to my problem ) , i am new to SISS and doing my clg project ,
    I have this package which loads data from  dim tables to a fact table , my Package runs without any problem in BIDS (2012)
    I have installed SQl Server integration services on SQL and service is also running in services.msc,
    the problem comes when i execute my package using my C# application i am using MSDN Method to execute a SSIS package programmatically given here.
    "http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms136090.aspx"
    For loading my FactTable i have used a Derived columns  and some lookups ,
    Now if i don't use derived columns and looks ups and just use source and destination component then my package runs fine from my C# application but if i use derived columns or looks ups etc it gives the following error
    "Error in Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.Runtime.TaskHost/SSIS.Pipeline: To Run a SSIS package outside of SQL Server Data Tools you must Install Derived Column of Integration services of higher"
    I am searching and trying to resolve this issue from previous 2 days but without any luck please help or guide me what is solution to this problem ,,i will be very thankful
    I have also found that integration services that are running on my system have version  10.0
    but the BIDS have version Version 11.0.3402.0
    IS this causing problem ?  if yes then what i have to do  ?

    Hi BlaxButt,
    The package is developed in SSDT installed by SQL Server 2012, so it is a SSIS 2012 package. However, the Integration Services you have installed is SQL Server 2008 R2 version. To run the package outside SSDT, you need SSIS 2012 installed. The reason why
    the package runs fine with only Source and Destination components is that such a simple package can be executed by the DTExec utility installed by SQL Server 2012 Data base Engine or Client Tools (SQL Server Import and Export Wizard). To run a package that
    uses other tasks/components outside SSDT/BIDS, the SSIS runtime is also required except the DTExec utility. To obtain the SSIS 2012 runtime, we have to install SSIS 2012 on the server where the package runs.

    Hi Kenny,
    It seems like you are using Excel as source file right? If yes, then please follow below steps:
    Edit the job step and Check the option: Use 32 bit run time. Below is the screenshot for the same.

  • SSIS package Upgrade from 2005 to 2012

    Hi,
    We have a Solution file with 8 projects for SSIS packages. All of them are in VSS. They all have been created in 2005. Now we installed VS 2012 and SSDT on our local machines. I got latest of solution and projects from VSS on new machine. I tried to open
    solution file which took me SSIS package Upgrade wizard. I followed the steps and in the last step of conversion, it displayed that it had errors. The errors are:
    Error 0xc001f429: Package Upgrade: The file, "C:\SSIS\compay\hello.dtsx", could not be opened for writing. The file could be read-only, or you do not have the correct permissions.
    and for some packages, it is like this:

    But solution and all projects and packages show that they are checked out. I checked properties also. Read only checkbox is not checked.
    Please suggest what to do. I appreciate your response.
    Thanks,

    Why didnt you check it out directly from VSS rather than going this long route?  How would VSS now that file is in checked out status if you go and manually change readwrite property? I think it may be that its getting confused when you tried to save
    it into its working folder as it still has status as checked in and not locked by anyone.
    Can you try saving packages copies to different folder and then do the upgrade by including them onto a IS project?

  • SSIS PACKAGE MIGRATION FROM 2005 to 2008 - Script task/component errors

    HI All,
    We have to migrate ssis packages (about 300) from ssis 2005 to 2008 .
    1. I understand that the major concern is regarding the script component/tasks.
    I searched a lot about this and also consulted with many friends , all of them are aware of this issue but not able to provide what could be the issues and the solution.
    Can some one help me with the common script issues that can happen during migration and the solution for the same.
     2. I do have one more question.
    As per my understanding given in the below link
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/mattm/archive/2008/03/21/package-upgrade-wizard.aspx
    there is this part which says ...
    Once the packages have been chosen, the next page asks you to pick the output location. This can be:
    Same as the source location
    File System
    SSIS Service (Package Store)
    SQL Server
    Does this mean I can deploy in sql server directly on fly while upgrading ?
    Any help highly appreciated .
    Regards
    Praveen..

    Hi Praveen,
    Question 1: The error may occur if there are duplicate input columns in the Script Task/Component or the current user cannot access the C:\Windows\Temp directory. Except for the link provided by SanBhaumik, you can also refer to the following
    threads:
    http://www.sqlservercentral.com/Forums/Topic811208-148-1.aspx
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/sqlserver/en-US/5c11eb57-59d6-4f81-bfdc-13bd6489a0ac/sql-server-2008-ssis-package-script-component-error?forum=sqlintegrationservices
    Question 2: We can directly save the package to the File System, SSIS Package Store, or SQL Server by selecting the proper destination during the package upgrade. However, this operation is not equal to the package install operation identically.
    For example, if we have enabled package configurations for a package, the package configurations won’t be upgraded or installed during the package upgrade.

  • SQL 2012 SSIS package runs from the command line (dtexec.exe) and completes right away ...

    Hi
    I’m upgrading our SSIS packages from SQL 2005 to SQL 2012 .
    Everything is working fine in Visual Studio, but when I’m submitting dtexec.exe it’s finishing right away in the command line (the actual execution takes long time).
    It looks to me that as the return code doesn’t pass properly.
    As I have depending tasks how I can make sure all jobs will be executed in the proper order.
    (We never had this issue in SQL 2005)
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\110\DTS\Binn>dtexec.exe /ISSERVER "\"\SSISDB\Direct_Prod\Direct_SSIS_Package
    \DD_Load_Customer.dtsx\"" /SERVER TORSQLSIS01 /ENVREFERENCE 2

    To view the details for the execution, right-click on the Integration Services Catalog, and open the [All Executions] report
    Started:  10:21:55 AM
    Finished: 10:21:56 AM
    Elapsed:  0.766 seconds

    As per MSDN /ENVREFERENCE argument is used only by SQL Server Agent
    see
    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh231187.aspx
    below part is what it says
    /Env[Reference] environment reference ID
    (Optional). Specifies the environment reference (ID) that is used by the package execution, for a package that is deployed to the Integration Services server. The parameters configured to bind
    to variables will use the values of the variables that are contained in the environment.
    You use /Env[Reference] option together with the /ISServer and the /Server options.
    This parameter is used by SQL Server Agent.

  • Issues with quality of PDF being made from AutoCAD

    I am having quality issues with the PDF after it is made from AutoCAD.  First, I'm creating a few spreadsheets using Excel.  I copy/paste them into AutoCAD and when I go to print the sheet to a PDF and view the preview before i submit it, the preview is great.  Once i make the PDF one of the spreadsheets' quality is great.   The others are showing extremely blurry and sometimes pixelated.  Im not sure what would be going on.  The spreadsheets are created the same way.  I'd attach a screenshot of the issue, but the wonderful "attach image" button is not working.  As a matter of fact, none of the tools for this post works.

    More than likely it is in the PDF creation end of things. If that's the case, you'll want to go to the forum for the software you are using to create the PDF.
    Before that, one thing you CAN check in Reader is Preferences>Page Display>REndering and be sure that smoothing preferences are checked.

  • Issue with creation of a specific field for a java program.

    Hey everyone,
    This is homework which is end of chapter "challenges" to practice what we've learnt.
    The chapter covers inheritance (super class and all things related)
    I'm having quite an annoying issue with the very beginning of the instructions, where it tells me to make the following fields:
    - Employee name
    - Employee number in the format XXX-L , where each X is a digit within the range 0-9 and the L is a letter within the range A-M.
    - Hire date
    This is what I wrote for code so far
    private String name;
    //private WTF
    private String date;I really have no idea what to do for the second field, how to even constrain integers and letters in the same field with a rule for number range and letter range, and that for each character independently, for what I understand.
    Any advice with this? It's blocking me from continuing -_-, because I can't make accessors and mutators and constructors, etc, if i'm still unsure of how the fields unfold.
    Thanks in advance.

    You can create a HireDate class.
    public class HireDate{
       private final int day;
       private final String month;
       private final int year;
       public HireDate(int day, String month, int year){
          this.day = day;
          this.month = month;
          this.year = year;
    }In the HireDate Constructor you could put if statements to ensure that only correct information is present. The fields are final because the hire date will not change. Override the toString() method so that when you print it out it will be in the correct format. Create some getter methods to get the private fields.
    Then in your other class just do this
    HireDate hired = new HireDate(10, July, 1991);Now you have an object that stores all 3 fields for you. You can use the object as you like and when it prints it will be in the format you want.
    Or you could just make hireDate a String variable. That is what I always did and I never lost marks for it. The reason I suggest this way is because you mentioned rules and constraints.

  • Problem with ArrayLists and writing and reading from a .dat file (I think)

    I'm brand new to this forum, but I'm sure hoping someone can help me with a problem I'm having with ArrayLists. This program was originally created with an array of objects that were displayed on a GUI with jtextFields, then cycling thru them via jButtons: First, Next, Previous, Last. Now I need to add the ability to modify, delete and add records. Both iterations of this program needed to write to and read from a .dat file.
    It worked just like it was suppose to when I used just the array, but now I need to use a "dynamic array" that will grow or shrink as needed: i.e. an ArrayList.
    When I aded the ArrayList I had the ArrayList use toArray() to fill my original array so I could continue to use all the methods I'd created for using with my array. Now I'm getting a nullPointerException every time I try to run my program, which means somewhere I'm NOT filling my array ???? But, I'm writing just fine to my .dat file, which is confusing me to no end!
    It's a long program, and I apologize for the length, but here it is. There are also 2 class files, a parent and 1 child below Inventory6. This was written in NetBeans IDE 5.5.1.

    BalusC -- The line that gives me my NullPointerException is when I call the "DisplayProduct()" method. Its a dumb question, but with NetBeans how do I find out which reference could be null? I'm not very familiar with how NetBeans works with finding out how to debug. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.The IDE is com-plete-ly irrelevant. It's all about the source code.
    Do you understand anyway when and why a NullPointerException is been thrown? It is a subclass of RuntimeException and those kind of exceptions are very trival and generally indicate an design/logic/thinking fault in your code.
    SomeObject someObject = null; // The someObject reference is null.
    someObject.doSomething(); // Invoking a reference which is null would throw NPE.

  • Issues with nested for loops - saving images from a camera

    Hi all,
    I've written a vi. to capture a specific number of images ('Image No') and save these images, outputted to a folder of my choice.  Each image is identified sequentially.  However, I wish to do a number of iterations ('Run') of this capture sequence, such that the filename of each image would be 'Filename (Run)_(Image No).png', e.g. run 5, image 10 would be 'Filename 5_10.png'.  I have tried a nested for loop for this but I receive an error 'Asynchronous I/O operation in progress' (I've attached a printscreen).
    Can anyone assist me in solving this problem? I preiously posted this in machine Vision but got no response (http://forums.ni.com/t5/Machine-Vision/Capturing-image-sequences-issues-with-nested-for-loops/m-p/19...).  Please find attached my vi.
    Kindest regards and thanks,
    Miika

    Miika,
    the problem is not the filenam, but the name of the folder (AHHHHH!). You try to create the same folder in the outer for loop over and over again.... (it is the error message above the '======', not below )
